The Los Angeles Lakers got their big man!  They scooped up DeAndre Ayton after he was waived by the Portland Trailblazers.  Early looks at the deal make it seem like Ayton will make $34 million dollars next season, with $9 million of it being paid by the Lakers.  That's one hell of a deal for Los Angeles...  A lot of people complain about Ayton's effort and say that he makes dumb mistakes.  I think playing alongside LeBron will be a bit of a rude awakening for him, but if he can live up to his potential then the Lakers just got themselves an absolute steal in the guy that got selected before Luka in the draft...

And that he is also soft, remember their championship run against the Bucks? He was several times block by Giannis. Anyway, he did improved with the Trailblazers but I guess he was not a perfect fit for them. There are fans online saying that Rob Pelinka is not doing any move in this free agency compare to other teams that are aggressively pursuing a lot of big names. But if we look at it, Rob seems to be low key and you really don't hear anything until the last minute. No smoke or fire, just like the trade between Luka and the Mavs for AD. As for the Knicks fans out there, they are in the verge of signing their new coach, Mike Brown. We all know that Mike Brown has a lot of experience working with other great coaches, so for sure he can bring all of that to the Knicks.

I honestly thought he was already set to retire, so I was surprised when I saw the news that he signed with the Kings, and with a pretty solid deal too. Three years for $45 million isn’t bad at all. At least he secured a good contract before eventually hanging it up.

I guess that as long as there will be offers for him, he'll just take them. The figures are still good and life changing and so, as long as he can play in the NBA he'll play.

He's no ring chaser I think and that's why whichever teams give him a contract, he'll get them.

This is the expensive lesson that he's learned from declining the huge contract that he's got from the Lakers before.

Yeah, still good money to him so what not? And I think he is still very healthy with no major injuries in his career. Perhaps if he had that one injury that is a game changing, then he might be thinking of retiring.

Although he said that he really wanted to stay with the Pistons, but I guess they have other plans that's why he was traded. But if you look at it, Kings is not that bad, it is on the process of rebuilding so many he can really fit into the new system.

There is one thing that ayton should do, since they have luka and LeBron is to control he's behavior/attitude in news this was Ayton problem with other teams that is why the phoenix let him go, but if he control all those and focus in the game i think he will be a good factor, because if not, i think lakers will be he's last team in the nba.

The Lakers IMO won't dominate the West or even close. Lebron is still good, Luka is still good, and Ayton is good but I don't think it works. Maybe I'm wrong but I think Lebron just needs to hang it up and let the young guys shine.

Myles Turner has agreed to a four-year, $107 million contract with the Milwaukee Bucks. Indiana is broken, another bad thing for them. with Hali out for a year.

So whoever gets him will be looking at a year of wasted salary to have him for maybe a year after that at a lower than previous level. I think that sounds like a role the Warriors will want to play, but maybe the Lakers will try to pick him up and hope he’s good for the playoffs. I’ve also heard he wants to go to Boston, thinking that might be a good place for him to recover and make a final championship run when he’s healthy.

Who knows Ayton will play the same way when he still playing with the Suns, remember he's average is decent when he played with CP3 and Booker almost win a title just fell short  for that campaign, now that he's playing with Bron and Luka we might see him playing big inside, knowing both Luka and Bron can maximize him though more on how the coach will utilize him, looking forward to see if what he may bring for the Lakers and how they'll be performing together.

For me the biggest problem with Ayton is not production but his mindset and off court distraction behavior. He was all the time missing flights, workouts and so on, showing signs of poor professionalism. Sure this is something he can (and should) work on, yet it's a red flag if a player doesn't take his JOB serious. Because of those things he was bought out by the Blazers in the first place. Him being injury prone of course is yet another thing the lakers should be aware of. Anyway, it's an experiment that might be successful or might fail, only time will tell.

Let's not tolerant and wish some hope with what he did whether he's earned more or not, he should haven't done that in the first place. He's got a massive contract, a money that's going to change his and family's life forever. But he chosen to waste his career, good bye to him in the league and he's added to the names that has gambled and put their names in stain due to gambling and selling of games.

Yeah, I've read an article somewhere saying they couldn't live with his bad ways. The tardiness to team flights and practices. The skipping of rehabilitation appointments. Fans saw him slam chairs when he was taken out of games. There were tantrums in the locker room when he was sidelined for poor effort. He could get traded again if he will still show such attitude in the Lakers considering James could possibly influence the management.
