LA Clippers have a really solid roster this season, and I’m hopeful about their chances this year. If Kawhi Leonard can stay healthy throughout the season, they can accomplish great things, he truly makes a difference when he's on the court. The Western side is packed with strong teams this year, so we’ll see how the standings shape up by the end of the season.
Yes, the Clippers' management has done a good job this offseason, and now their roster looks promising. Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if the Clippers show good results in the upcoming regular season and finish in the top 3 of the Western Conference standings. Top 3? With a roster this old? Nah I don't believe it. They can be lucky if those aging stars will playing like 40-50 games this season, and that doesn't even include games that they are all playing together. I don't see them better as OKC, Dallas, Minnesota, Denver at minimum, maybe also Houston. So nah, I don't think they are a top 3 team. Maybe 5-7 years ago they would be, but not now.

Somehow I understand your points towards your doubts on Clippers but I can say that they are better team now. If their team could able to manage to make their roster healthy and also their players would be more careful dealing with things that can cause them an injury then they have better shot for a championship run with their current roster they have this season. West is really tight and there's no doubt that more teams became more stronger, but we should not downplay Clipper since they have the best players in the league now. CP3 still good contributor for his team and his presence is really a big thing for their shooters and bigs.

No doubt he’s still got it, he hasn’t really lost his skills. The main issue with him is his health. But now that he won’t be a starter and will probably just play limited minutes with his new team, he might not be as prone to injuries. This could be CP3’s last shot. If he still doesn’t win a championship here, I think he might finally call it a career.

I have no problem with the roster being old. The problem that I'm seeing is the fact that aside from their age, they're also injury prone. Kawhi might've been healthier last season compared to 2 seasons ago, but there's still this "what if" if we're talking about him. It's also the same with Harden, and Beal on the other hand only played 53 game in his last year with the Suns because of injury. Paul played all 82 games last season though which is a good sign, but their key players are injury-prone as well. Age and injury are for me the reason why I don't also see them as a top 3 team in a stacked Western Conference. I would rather pick OKC, Denver, and Houston at those top 3 spots as they have a much better roster than the Clippers. The Lakers have become better now as well. Yes, the Clippers got some good acquisitions as well like Lopez, Paul, and Beal, but I don't think that they can compete with the likes of the top 3 teams that I said. Let's see though. Remember that Indiana surprised everybody when they clinched the NBA Finals. Something that only a few expected that to happen.

Well aside of my last comment about him in this thread i also feel like is gonna be super difficult to win the ring in a team like Los Angeles Clippers, i mean they are one of the most losers teams in history the awfull brother in the city and when they always seems to be in the path of winning something they fail, so i dont know how much chance they got despite having a good team.

I believe any team will have difficulty now to win the Championship even OKC due to tougher competition from different teams that already form a good line-up in preparation for this upcoming season. Clippers has a bunch of veteran and old players which might be a hindrance to them against young and speedy team. But I still believe with right strategy and coaching this type of line-up will work since they have consistent players in there.

I kinda disagree with your statement. I think the Clippers are actually a decent team. yes, they haven’t won a championship or made it to the Finals yet, but if I remember right, during CP3’s time, they were making the playoffs consistently. Even now, they’re still solid. They’ve got a lot of vets on the roster, and that experience makes them smarter and more composed. some people might not see it, but for me, they look like a legit championship team now, honestly, better than the Lakers in their current form.

Ricky Rubio is back to basketball. He got out of retirement but he's not going to play in the NBA anymore. He's back to the team to where he has started his young career and that's the Joventut Badalona, a team in Spain. We're getting old, I am sure that everyone remembers his early stint in the FIBA when he was the youngest player there. Looks like his mental health is now okay as he's back.

Hornets front office exec believes Charlotte pulled off NBA's 'best draft'https://www.si.com/nba/hornets/news/hornets-front-office-exec-believes-charlotte-pulled-off-nba-best-draftDid they? Why does this executive feel that the Hornets nailed it? Because the team got exactly what it wanted: players to complement existing stars, LaMelo Ball and Brandon Miller. Kon Knueppel and Liam McNeeley, according to the executive, are perfect options for that.
"We didn’t want one-skill guys. We all saw Indiana and the Thunder, right? You have to be able to be versatile. We’re getting there," he said of Knueppel and McNeeley. But the draft didn't end after round one. I do agree that young players today can really make a change but I am rooting for the upcoming stars to win the championship this year. Paolo Banchero for example and then there's the Houston Rockets too with so many young players and a baby face assassin as their veteran player. Now, the question is actually at the end of that article. Will it all just be on paper, or will they really make a change and surprise us? I'd like to see some competitive spirit, especially against a young team like the OKC.

There's going to be serious competition in the West again. A lot of teams strengthened themselves this off-season.
The Thunder kept most of their championship core together. The Rockets got stronger by adding Durant. The Lakers brought in Smart and Ayton. The Nuggets solved their depth problem by adding Bruce Brown, Cam Johnson, Tim Hardaway Jr. and Valančiūnas. The Clippers signed Beal, Chris Paul, Brook Lopez, and Collins.
All these teams, which finished in the top five last year, made these upgrades without losing any key players from their rosters. It's going to be a very tough battle in the West.
I'm confident the quality of basketball will improve next season, and it will be a fun season to watch. Considering both the teams' improved rosters and the Pacers' style of play, I feel like we're returning to the NBA era of the 2000s. Of course, the rules are different, and we're thinking of this place as a company now, but perhaps a year filled with hope awaits us. I'm especially curious to see what the Rockets will do. Alperen Şengün and Durant will be really good together

Not having a center is what eliminated them from the playoffs this year. I think whatever team Giannis is on always has a chance. I think if Dallas stays healthy and Cooper Flagg meets expectations then they could have a chance as well.

Yeah, Clippers has always faced with injury issues, and will continue to do so. I do not see why they would not just give up because it's obvious that they are not going to be good at all. CP3 is now too old to even matter anymore, that is why he is not getting the maximum contract, if he was any good or could provide anything to a team, they would have given him a max contract or even a longer one. But this 1 year, low contract, shows that they are just taking a risk by getting him, and want to be getting rid of quickly if they see him not bring anything to the table. Long story short, CP3, Kawhi, they are just filled with a lot of contracts that worth nothing. It's time for Clippers to decide to just go back to rebuilding and start tanking.

I saw this on X and thought it was funny. First look at the Oklahoma City Thunder Championship Ring. I really do hope the NBA does something about the foul baiting. I thought they solved this with James Harden but apparently not. I want to see a team win without needing a massive number of free throws.

Alperen Şengün and Durant will be really good together Nah, you mean there will be tough defense next season? I doubt that, we are already in a era wherein defense is not being played or it's easy to score basket as compare to the era of the 200's. Players now are more of taking long shots even center unlike before. Definitely though I will agree that it's going to be fun and interesting as there are a lot of transfers like Durant going to the Rockets. But there are a lot of star players that are also out, like Haliburton, and Tatum and Kyrie. So there will be someone to step up with that teams. And then the rookies too, maybe we can see that there will be a close fight for that ROTY award this season.

It’s proven already by current NBA champion and contender that defense matters to win a championship. OKC is the number 1 defensive team when they won the Championship. All the team that focus on offense was beaten by team that has good defense. The weakness of all offense team is their accuracy drop when they are heavily guarded while the defensive team gets an easy basket due to the lack of defense of the offensive team. I think many teams already adjusting their roster and adding big men is a must now to increase their defensive strength on the paint.

I think if Dallas stays healthy and Cooper Flagg meets expectations then they could have a chance as well.
I hope that he's going to be treated differently as a rookie. Because most times, these rookies won't get a lot of playing time. And maybe Kidd could give this kid a break and will show how effective he is. But with their roster being jampacked. I don't think that they'll ever get to see the full potential. Maybe, I'm wrong.

He’ll get the time if he’s good enough. A lot of times rookies bodies aren’t ready for the NBA grind. LeBron got plenty of playing time his rookie year… I suspect we’ll be seeing around 25-30 minutes a game from Cooper Flagg this year, but you never know. The fact he got shut down in preseason so early to work on his body full time sort of shows he has the skills, they just need to prepare him physically.

I'm with you on tha. He should see plenty of playing time and summer league means nothing. Sometimes the SL doesn't go the way you want to and before getting too much "damage" to his ego it's better to shut him down for this one and build him up for the real games with his real teammates. Guess they also have to work on his body, so he needs every boost of energy and rest he can get. He doesn't need to prove himself in those games, he is the no1 pick.

Yeah, OKC have their defensive arsenal where they are more capable to convert those turnovers from their opponents once they lack them out, and like what you said the offensive team are being beaten, a good example for that is GSW once Curry unable to make his shots the team mostly suffer as there's a counter that may take place for an easy conversions, defense still have that edge but adjustments can happen as well, similar to the post above you, players can take even as far as the half court and still manage to make a basket, that kind of a long range shooters once they start making it defense may also collapse, a case to case situation that reflect to how players play the game.
