Why is it better to use this then using nice hash?

Personal preference.  Try out the miners you like and some can mine the best coins and pay out in BTC (nice hash), others like this allow you to define ETH/ETC and a separate alt coin (see first page of this thread).  One thing to also watch out for
depending on miners are the devfees with Claymore ETH only its 1% and dual coin mining is 2%..   If you single mine you mine for me 36 seconds every hour, if you dual mine you mine for me for 72 seconds every hour.  So the developer gets that much time to mine shares with your machine.  If you do the math thats a lot of money to the dev Smiley Again, choose what you think is best for your own needs.

Hey @Claymore

- It's possible to include a optional GPU power consumption information in the miner and ethman? We could have also a hash/power ratio.
- It's viable to have a average hashrate, like "last hour", "24 hours" and "whole running time" at least in ethman?

Keep you good work.

Hoping someone here can help.  I'm looking to dual mine with Claymore (ETH and SIA). I would like to solo mine SIA via siamining (like I do with marlin miner) and ETH via nanopool but obviously do it together in one app like Claymore.  Here's my current bat file config below.  It's going through nanopool for both cryptos.

EthDcrMiner64.exe -ttli 75 -tstop 80 -epool eth-us-east1.nanopool.org:9999 -ewal etherwallet.minername/emailaddress -epsw x -dcoin sia -dwal siawallet/minername/emailaddress -dpsw x -ftime 10

Your help is much appreciated.

But the fee is only 1% for ETH-only mining mode... that's what is posted on the front page...

Yes ETH single mode is 1% dev fee. If you dual mine you will pay 2% dev fee on ETH side only. Dev fee never mines from the extra coin like dcr, sia, pasc but you pay for it in ETH mining time.

In that case it makes absolutely no sense to dual mine because the profit from the extra coins is far far less than another 1% of ETH gone.

You need to set -dpool as well.

Hi there,

i have small issue, but cant find ansswer in tons of replys and search did not help Sad

I have two GPU, but miner seams to read only one temperature (im sure it is diferent). I even used -gmap 10  -di 01 as GPU 1 was not shown at first.

Also, how can i point miner to use diferent profiles of afterbuner in config file? I found somewhere that, but lost track of right code.

0.01 ETH of every 1 ETH mined

Hi Claymore,

Firstly - thanks for your efforts on this. I’m new to mining, but got everything setup in no time at all!

So, I was wondering how you’re determining the number f TMUs/shaders that are available?

Is this detected in some way, or do you look at what each card identifies as and use hard coded values?

If the latter - is there any scope for adding a switch to allow manual config of these values?

Thanks!

Any thoughts on this?

I’m also curious to know - are there assembler drivers for the RX460 included in the program? As setting the -asm 1 flag seems to have no effect on these cards.

Thanks!

Nothing but Newbies arguing with other Newbies in this thread.

Clear sign that it will be time to sell GPUs in the near near future.

If any of them had done much research before investing they would have realized they would have been smarter using that money investing in the coins on the exchanges.  I make a hell of a lot more money playing the exchanges than I do mining.   I'm just glad all my miners have paid for themselves and I'm in the black no matter what.  Most of these newbies will never re-coupe the money they invested in hardware.

Wow Smiley

I guess that most of those who speak about "new miners" are "old" only few months Smiley

I bet you would like that you are last person entered in minig, right?

If you think answer was posted few times, just point poster how to find answer if you dont want to serve it. Otherwise shut up.

Hashrate Drop Every New DAG

For the 1 millionth time.

NO HASHRATE DOESN'T DROP EVERY NEW DAG. IT ONLY DROPS ON OLD GPUS LIKE 270X / 280X / 7970.

Actually, you do make a little extra dual mining. The extra 1% fee is about one-third to one-half of the income from the second coin. But if you factor in the extra power consumption you might be right. Dual mining uses quite a bit more power. Also it stresses the cards more and might cause earlier GPU failure. I stopped dual mining for these reasons and it destroyed one of my power supplies. I added a GPU to my rig. The PSU should have been able to handle the extra power but the PSU turned off and would never turn off again. Currently it is in service and waiting for a new replacement. So you are probably correct in the fact that dual mining is probably not worth it when you consider all the factors involved.
