@dev
First of all, hope you had a good Xmas.
I haven’t tried fully the newest strategy yet, so I cannot comment. However, it appears to be quite slow in terms of number of trades completed (even though the percentages are quite high).
I wonder whether there are other strategies planned in future releases. I would like to see RSI or macd strategies, which I believe to be easy to understand and set. Thanks.

Hi,

we plan to release more strategies and at a more frequent rate now.
We keep you guys updated on what's planned.

All the best,

  Rene

Hey Rene do you have a time schedule regarding the BB Bot when the last fix is  done Grin

We are working on a fix as we speak. There are a couple cases that could be handled better when the APIs are not returning or returning misleading info.

Having issues with Bollinger bot

12/27 12:24:47 am hitbtc:websocket:handler: getTradingBalance channel blocked (Request getTradingBalance already waiting for a response), retrying in 200 ms. Try 1 of 5

and then it stops,, does not retry .. just stops

Hi,

we are looking into cases where the bot has to handle non returning API calls. Thanks for the report.
We keep you guys updated.

All the best,

Morning all
great pity theres no real support forum or chat or anything dedicated to this bot.

I'm experimenting with Bollinger band strategy but having problems.
tried it on live server but after looking at it running it seemed to be selling lower than it was buying so back to demo mode to see whats up.

i'm testing on HitBTC with micro transactions of 100 DBG which is the minimum amount allowed on HitBTC for DBG
it buys its 100 fine.
then when it try to sell it gets this message and then stops
'12/27 08:18:49 am demo-hitbtc:DGB/BTC: Cannot perform spot sell order, not enough DGB to guarantee that the order gets filled without undershooting the market's min. sell amount (have: 100 DGB min. sell amount:200 DGB)
12/27 08:18:49 am demo-hitbtc:bot:DGB/BTC: [strategy-10] spot order could not be placed'

the min amount is 100 .. the bot then fails because its says its 200 ? i've tested live and 100 is the correct min.
the next issue is once it gets this error
same issue on other coins when its sell time .. 100 is the amount set.. 100 is what i have
12/27 08:35:01 am demo-hitbtc:BCN/BTC: Cannot perform spot sell order, not enough BCN to guarantee that the order gets filled without undershooting the market's min. sell amount (have: 100 BCN min. sell amount:200 BCN)
12/27 08:35:01 am demo-hitbtc:bot:BCN/BTC: [strategy-11] spot order could not be placed

now the bigger problem.
after the above problem occurs on a running bot if there are other bots running on other coins the buy threshold seems to stall making it buy at the wrong rates ..

Hi,

you can also try the community slack at: https://leonardough-slack.herokuapp.com/
And of course there is support@marginsoftware.de

And as a basic rule of thumb: Try not to trade to close to the minimum amounts.
The 100 vs. 200 amount seems indeed strange. Can you send on the logs and maybe a screenshot to support@marginsoftware.de?

All the best,

  Rene

I'm sorry for that bro but I think that if you have deleted the key from yor exchange and you have create a new one, you have to pay again for adda new api/exchange .... heres is the link:
http://www.marginsoftware.de/pricing.html
I hope could I help you

You do not need to pay again to re-add an existing exchange because your keys change. Support will update the keys if you e-mail them half of the new secret.

Hi Rene & team, please don't forget to look at why Bitfinex is so slow with 3.7.x. I understand there was an issue with funds not being updated (although it always worked for me) and you implemented a workaround (REST vs. Websockets calls), but still, why doesn't this issue happen with 3.6.0? With this older version everything is blazing fast, but with 3.7.x it's a PITA to trade with Bitfinex... Thanks!

As you state it yourself 3.6.0 is working fine for you. I would recommend you to fall back to this version until a bugfix is released.

Hello,

I have seen Leonardo @ $89 - was that a hallucination or the price has changed?

If so, is there a xmass discount or again I have mistaken it with some other bot?

I have a question: If a lot of people use Leoanardo on the same exchange means that Leonardo is in competition against itself, right? How it will behave in this case?

Hi there,

Lost a lot of money in the beginning using the Leonardo, but that was my fault. I learned to use it in the hard way. But now i see progress of $30,- a day getting to my break-even point ;-)
Love the Leonardo but need more tactics in the use of Leonardo. Yes i have read the comments that u are implementing new tactics in the near future, happy with that.

Question: is there a chance you are going to implement the following tactics:

* TSSL : Trailing Stop / Stop Limit
* Ichimoku

Noticed the Bollinger Band is having issue. Happy it is implemented and soon to be repaired.

Thanks Leonardo Team for the good work.

For the people not knowing the TSSL! The Bot sets a range for trailing lower buy prices and getting even better sell prices without risking much potential profit.
For selling it works like this: you define a range around your last bought price, say you bought at 0.1000 and set a range of 0.5%, Leonardo will now wait until price reaches either 0.0995 or 0.1005. When the lower value is reached, a sell order will be placed. When the higher value is reached, the range trails up and would now be set from 0.1000 to 0.1010. This could go on forever, as long as the price keeps going up and does not hit the lower boundary of the range at any moment (at which a sell order would be placed).

You can select an option to only sell at profit, to avoid the risk of a stop limit sell at loss while you're still in the initial range around bought price.
For buying, it works the other way around, ever looking for a better buy price. Starting point for buying is the lowest EMA.

You can optionally use RSI as confirmation for entry and exit points while trading. Making sure you only buy or sell when trailing meets your conditions and the market is either oversold or overbought.

(Don't know how to get the picture up!)

It is a tactic implemented by Gunbot ;-) why not with Leonardo ;-)

+1 for trailing stop loss strategy. I myself have spoken to several people interested in LeonArdo but have held back because of lack of this feature.
