Are there any updates being developed for this coin?

Yep - new version should be out soon. The main feature added for the next version is coin control.

Thank you Beave162.  Cheesy

Is the new QT client stable enough for unsophisticated users such as me to try? I have an old Athlon XP 2400+ PC on WinXP and want to see how YACoin-QT performs on it. So, I just think may be it's a chance to check out the latest version rather than use the current release version. (Note: I never succeeded in compiling for any coins.)

Looking forward to it. Smiley  Does it have a CPU-miner built into it as well?  I know there were a few bounties floating around for it.

How is everyone doing with GPU mining? I feel like I'm trying to dig holes with a tooth brush. HW errors are out of control, but I can't crank the thread concurrency too high or the GPUs become unstable. Best I can do is about 7.6 diff 1 shares/min per 7950. Can anyone do any better?

yacminer --scrypt -w 256 -I 11 --lookup-gap 2 -o http://yacp.coinmine.pl:8088 -u myusername -p mypassword --thread-concurrency 41216

yields appx 9k/sec on my 7950's...

Anyone mining with 7970's?  And care to share their settings?  I'm only getting about 4.5-5 khash/s on each of my cards.  Undecided

I tried to compile WindMaster's last code, but src/scrypt-jane/scrypt-jane.c is wrapped into a extern "C" block that makes it fail. This block wasn't in the older versions, and commenting it out let me compile. Could this be a bug?

No sorry, I just didn't push the latest code to override the extern if compiling the Qt client. It's updated now.
Code:
#if !defined( QT_GUI )
extern "C" {
#endif

Do you get any HW errors? After accounting for HW errors I get 8.3 kh/s per card. I can't seem to crank my TC that high when lookup gap is only 2, maybe it's because I use WF3s with the lower voltage FW.

No HW errors, that's why my intensity is at 11... I only need turn down intensity during each N change...

You can get today more YAC for a fraction of a BTC that I got mining at launch. Entry point is now as fair as it gets.
