As usual, I spoke too soon, still getting double-crashes (both MultiMiner and BFGMiner at the same time). Doesn't appear to just be a BFGminer issue. BFGMiner Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: bfgminer.exe Application Version: 0.0.0.0 Application Timestamp: 057214ed Fault Module Name: ntdll.dll Fault Module Version: 6.1.7601.18247 Fault Module Timestamp: 521ea8e7 Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: 000343e0 OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3 Locale ID: 1033 Additional Information 1: e601 Additional Information 2: e60131629899bd940e9badc390d3b17b Additional Information 3: fd81 Additional Information 4: fd8169f87e77764258a5fba803a71516
Again...please report this in either the BFGMiner thread or the BFGMiner issues on Github. This is not an issue with MultiMiner. MultiMiner is throwing an error because BFGMiner crashed.

Yes but if I use that it applies it to all my gpus at once, problem is I have 2 r9 280x's and 2 of the 7950's and they each need different parameters. I tried ticking a gpu or highlighting it and then changing it but it still changes all gpu settings at once Enter comma-separated values, e.g. --thread-concurrency 22400,8092

This brings up the question. Will the ubuntu version of multiminer work with gridseed 5 chip devices yet? I guess if bfgminer can be installed then yes but what about the drivers and how would bfgminer be installed if it isn't released yet?
You'll need to compile BFGMiner from my branch with GridSeed support but yes it should work just fine.

add commas to your variables like so Hi First of thanks for creating this usefull mining software I can't seem to figure out though how I'm suppost to give each of my graphics cards individually different parameters (thread concurrency, intensity etc.) because I run a couple of different AMD gpu's Any help would be great Thanks in advance! Version 2.8.3 fixes the error message you were seeing in MultiMiner (basically MultiMiner couldn't communicate with the crashed BFGMiner instance).

i have 8 dualminer usbs and trying to get them to mine in MultiMiner. I downloaded bfgminer with gridseed support, and have it setup so that this is the bfgminer that is used.
I have been mining with the dualminer software, closed, it, and installed the FTDI drivers, and all the com ports show that it's using this driver. I'm on the latest MM, but even after scan hardware, they are not detected. When I do "scan hardware" my usbs blink off and on like they are being scanned, but don't see them.
Something i'm missing?

Add --scrypt under Settings > Advanced miner settings > Hardware scan.

Add --scrypt under Settings > Advanced miner settings > Hardware scan. was just about to post an update, have bfgminer running in cli mode, and it detected them and appears to be hashing, but thanks, adding that now

Thanks, all in one place now

Does MultiMiner/bfgminer PR 4.0 support dual mining with gridseed 5-chip? If so, how is this done? Would I just run 2 instances of MultiMiner?
Thanks.

I see your post here: https://github.com/gridseed/cgminer-3.1.1-GC3355-SV/issues/1Your instructions are: You can hash them at the same time if you launch with --set-device dualminer:dual_mode=1
Specifically, launch the BTC instance first (no dual_mode arg required but okay to add), launch the LTC instance second, dual_mode arg required. Are you just referring to bfgminer or MultiMiner as well? If MultiMiner supports this, can you explain how to achieve this in the app? Thanks!

This usually happens after the "The AMD driver has crashed and successfully recovered" note. When I logged in remotely there was a Windows 8.1 message that the program has recovered from a crash and if I want to report it to microsoft. CGMiner runs fine by the way.
Logged in remotely how? Are you using RDP or VNC? GPU mining does not work via RDP and you will end up with very odd results as the full AMD driver will not load. Edit: Try posting a screenshot or a video of the problem. That may help. The Start button is disabled if you don't have a valid configuration - e.g. no devices or your devices have no selected coin configuration or your configurations have no pools etc. I log in via tightvnc. This problem is sporadic and there is no way to fix it other than many many reboots and basically it randomly starts again. It just happened again after I shut the rig down, move the cards a bit to allow for air flow and BAM its gone weird again. Not starting. CGMiner works so this is a software glitch with bfgminer. Again if I knew how to delete the BIN files it would work I bet. CGMiner always works better when the delete *.bin is in the .bat file. Dont know how the screen shot can be of any clue but here it is:

Is it possible to get MuM to behave for AntMiner S1 like it does BitFury or BFL Single I tried right-clicking on an AntMiner S1 network device and switching to another coin but it never switches. I tried it with and without restarting. Is there something in the configuration I might be missing

AFAIK it already supports all of the frequencies that are in the reference documentation and source code from GridSeed. There's still more to do before BFGMiner 4.0 is release (like BTC and Dual Mode support) so I'll re-evaluate and see where the reference source and documentation is on that. I want to try to stick to the official docs.

Is it possible to get MuM to behave for AntMiner S1 like it does BitFury or BFL Single No, they are fundamentally different devices. One I have full control over and one I only have API access to. I tried right-clicking on an AntMiner S1 network device and switching to another coin but it never switches. I tried it with and without restarting. Is there something in the configuration I might be missing I'm not sure what you mean by another coin - do you mean another pool? The only thing you can do with Network Devices currently is switch them between the pools you have configured in their web UI and restart them. I just tried with my AntMiner S1 and MultiMiner 2.8 and had no problem switching pools (no need to restart, just wait 20-30s or so).

I right-clicked an AntMiner S1 in MuM 2.8.1 and chose the 2nd pool. Logged into the pool account and no hashing has appeared in the last 10 minutes. All hashing is still going to pool 1. If BitMain loaded bfgminer in its firmware would that give you full control
