Thanks for everybody who donated.
I will continue experimenting, to find out what stylistic elements (and memes) go well with quark. (I think certainly science fiction and space in general will go well with quark)
If anyone has serious suggestions and feedback, I welcome it.
How about simple robot face for the logo. When I first saw Quark I thought it was a robot face. The 3 circles look like eyes and mouth.

What tools do you use for creating your pictures and animations? Flash, Actionscript for animation + FFMPEG (thru commandline) for good GIF compression. Though I might use GIFs someone else created on the internet, and reuse them (apply QRK logo on it, etc...) as I have done for darkcoin and mazacoin, etc... Also as someone else here suggested I might use battlestar galactica or star trek snippets and playfully jam with the QRK logo, lol. Possibilities are endless.

I saw similar original animations, but your modifications are nicer Thanks.

Probably due to bugs in boost_1_56_0 i can't compile Quark v0.8.3 wallet nor Bitcoin v0.9.2.1 wallet with that version of boost.
from: boost_1_56_0/interprocess/errors.hpp:37:0 boost_1_56_0/interprocess/exceptions.hpp:20, boost_1_56_0/interprocess/file_lock.hpp:20, init.cpp:36,
problem is here: boost_1_56_0/interprocess/detail/win32_api.hpp:1614:20 boost_1_56_0/interprocess/detail/win32_api.hpp:1541:31
return FunctionAdresses[id] ;
Is there some configuration solution?
The latest windows versions were built with boost 1.55. There might be something in 1.56 that broke compatibility. This is why we love you Max !

so far it looks good - i might "burn" some quark over this train wreck. I'm sorry democracy is why i only vote for : Vermin supremehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4d_FvgQ1csECrypto has a fully functioning vote system. its called the "client" and the "Free market" i.e selling and buying. so far when you take the scams out -and all other crypto that can't be priced Quark is the leader in Crypto even at this now temporary price depression, it's still by far the leader. ^^ I have proof to back that comment up if anyone wants to challenge it? the reason I have proof is because i understand the crypto market, and decentralized economics its really not that difficulty, so i welcome the discussion. ------------------ I don't want you to take that as non endorsement the concept is nice it will just fail because of a number of technical reason that's all. you can not fake PoW and you can not fake a decentralized effect. so i support its existence in the same way i support other non relevant "Crypto."

I'm impressed with the draft, what i like about Peter is that he as an ambitious dev (or one of the devs) of this coin who is connected to the community and is a strong favour of transparency, this alone build trust. About the slowly maturing coins aka initial phase, if i understood right 50% will be paid back monthly spread into 5 years. Lets say someone needs his 50% or a major part of it, is it possible to request? Adding community fund of 20% makes 70% of the fund stored away. Wouldn't this 70% hold some off from investing/burning despite the issues it can solve?

Well yes, this is a deterrent to speculants and that is fully intended because while it reduces liquidity for a certain period it allows long term planning: as i wrote in the draft, this has zo be understood like a contract between all participants to not dump their holdings. If it could be hedged as proposed by Josh the sense would be undermined in a way and give way to speculation. Just my opinion on it.

Overal looking forward to this I could imagine those who burn would want to know if their investment is safe hands. I know this is legit but would appreciate if you could explain on that? and also if someone would want to request funds for personal reasons how would that go?

Yeah, I am by no means advocating the hedge...I was just exploring the implications. QuarkFx is correct it will cause way too much volatility compared to the benefits. Basically, burners just have to trust the reputation of the people creating the new coin...same as any other coin that does PoB or IPO. Hopefully, with Quark veterans behind the project, people will trust us. After the Genesis block is mined, it will all be transparent because all the new coins will show up in your wallet, although some of them will be immature until predetermined block numbers in the future. What do you mean by your statement "if someone would want to request funds for personal reasons how would that go?"
