-cdmport is not working in the new version...

It is working fine here (read-only access).
Huh

Is it true? Let's take a look at the numbers...

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5287578.0
You forgot about PM uses less power than any other miner like lol or TR. So his loses in effectivity about some part of percent compensates by power economy in some percent!

This test was 2 part... Mainly was about how the console hash comes is pretty much always going to be 3.5% higher than at the pool.... There will be days where you actually get it (as you can see in my test, but odds are going to be very slim) Also, TRM produced a better over hashrate, over the course of the year, that .75-1% will add up quickly.

Power on both miners were so close that it was marginal.
I didn't know about your system, but for me PM uses about 1-2% less power only from sensors (overall power economy from wall can be more). So 0.75-1% less efficiency but 1-2% less power.
Until lol and TR didn't lower power draw by their miners for me choise is obvious.

Software power draw means 0.... I have a 5700xt that's showing software power draw at 77w and 80w!!!!!!

By the way; the software power draw for PM on these cards (with these settings) showed 84w.

I didn't know about 5700xt. I use rx 580 8Gb rigs. On Polarises PM use less power.

3 cards
5700XT, 5700, 480 4GB

PhoenixMiner 5.2a ~19 Mhs with -daglim 3967, any greater daglim produces a hashrate drop to 0-1 Mhs

If I use PhoenixMiner for the 5700 and Lolminer with 480 it makes 30,31Mhs

Driver 20.8.1, Windows.

Any suggestion?

Same with RX 580 4 GB! Works only -daglim 3967 ~19 Mhs. Driver 19.12.3.

IMPORTANT! All owners of AMD cards with 4 GB RAM must upgrade to PhoenixMiner 5.2b or later version to continue mining after DAG epoch 373 (set -daglim 1, or see bellow how to use the -daglim option; you also need to add -dagrestart 1 to allow maxium possible value of -daglim). Additionally, here are some important tips for longest possible usage of 4 GB AMD cards with PhoenixMiner 5.2a and later:

  • After the epoch 373 the hashrate will drop dramatically (to just a few MH/s) because the DAG no longer fits in the card's VRAM and part of it is stored in the system memory. Use the option -daglim 1 to use only 4006 MB for the DAG buffer. This will allow you to mine for several more weeks with gradually lower hashrate for each passing DAG epoch. If the speed is too low (less than 10 MH/s for epoch 374), you need to use -daglim 4000, or even lower value - keep trying with lower and lower -daglim values until the speed jumps higher. Note that this value can be different for each card but as a general rule of thumb, if you are able to mine without problems and speed loss on epoch 373, -daglim 1 should work fine. To allow higher -daglim values, you also need to add -dagrestart 1
  • Note that -daglim will only work on Polaris GPUs (RX470, RX480, RX570, RX580, RX590), and the PhoenixMiner 5.2b is still in alpha stage of testing
  • It is also important to use auto-tune (do not specify -gt values) because the optimal -gt value may change with each new epoch, and will definitely be different than before.
  • You can also try the new option -rxboost 1 for additional increase of hashrate

IMPORTANT! All owners of AMD cards with 6 GB or 8 GB RAM must either keep drivers 20.4.x or lower (do not upgrade to 20.5.1 or later), or upgrade to PhoenixMiner 5.2b or later version to continue mining after DAG epoch 384 (ETC has already passed DAG epoch 384, and ETH will pass it in less than two months).

@Phoenixminer: the 5.2a will compatible with the ETCHASH?

We will add support for the new ETC variant of ethash (with reduced DAG size after epoch 390) in the stable version of 5.2, it is not included in 5.2a yet, but there is still at least three weeks before ETC reaches epoch 390.

guys.

all 4gb cards can't mining anymore
Download PhoenixMiner 5.2, add the command-line parameters -daglim 1 -dagrestart 1 (also may try -rxboost 1 for additional boost). The hashrate will be lower but that's unavoidable. It is also important to use auto-tune (do not specify -gt values) because the optimal -gt value may change with each new epoch, and will definitely be different than before. For maximum performance, you can try manually adjusting the -daglim value (the default -daglim 1 corresponds to 4006 MB DAG limit). Some cards will work with higher values like -daglim 4011.

Linux ETH can mine till when ?
Should be ok until epoch 380-383 then you can use -daglim as in Windows.

Add -dagrestart 1 and you should be able to use -daglim 4005 to -daglim 4011 depending on the card, which will greatly increase the hashrate. Also, you must use auto-tune (do not specify -gt values) because the optimal -gt value may change with each new epoch, and will definitely be different than before. Finally, the new -rxboost option (just add -rxboost 1) may provide some small additional boost.

No idea.... watching one of the rigs now.  4 x 570x4gb 2x570x8gb (they are gpu 5/6 in the rig) is hashing happily away on 5.0e and doing (30.273/31.131/31.130/31.120/29.925/29.929mh) with volt set to 825 on each and 1145 cor 2100 mem....

I dont usually update miner unless problem or major improvement.

I have tried applying -straps to rx 580 8gb in admin mode but it doesn't work, should it work?

I'm sorry, I write very bad english

Epoch 383? Are you sure that's even possible. With all the testing I did, I could only get it to work on Epoch 379. Some people ciaimed that it works on Epoch 380 however I get an insta-hang whenever I try and benchmark it at that level. This is under Ubuntu.

What paramaters are you using to get 383? Do you have some -eres which is similar to Claymores where it loads a few dags in advance to reduce the chances of hanging? Or do you have some 8GB GPU in the main slot and that's why you are able to mine to 383 with your other 4GB which are in the other secondary slots? Do you plan on updating your miner so it can mine >4GB DAG with reduced speeds like lolminer is doing?

SAPPHIRE RX 560 4GB Hynix

PhoenixMiner 5.2a

374 epoch

rxboost 1:
13.3 MH/s

rxboost 1 + daglim 1:
10.9 MH/s

Don't use daglim with RX560. It's works without daglim beter.

Using PhoenixMiner 5.2a version with parameters  -daglim 1 and -dagrestart 1.

Windows 10 Pro
1pc RX580 8GB in primary pcie
6pc RX570 4GB ELLESMERE (SAMSUNG)
4GB RAM
GPU Driver Adrenalin 2019 19.75

The RX 580 4GB mining on Win10 about 27,5 Mhs with "-daglim 1 -dagrestart 1"
if I add "-rxboost 1" then works with ~27,5 Mhs too.

Any other experience?

I got problems adding -straps to my 2 Vega 64. When i try to run PM as administrator, the PhoenixMiner.exe is not recognized. When i set EIO.exe to run as administrator and start PM normally, i get strap error A740.

RX 470 4GB sapphire mining on Win10 Getting 28,2 Mhs with "-daglim 1 -dagrestart 1" on PhoenixMiner 5.2a This is a lot lower than with lolminer i get 31.01 mh/s

Even worse with RX 470 samsung memory 4GB i get 26.1 mh/s  with "-daglim 1 -dagrestart 1 on PhoenixMiner 5.2a, 28.4 mh/s with lolminer
