Except Fab 10 is 130nm and I haven't see any news about it being upgraded to 110nm or smaller.

Quote
Presently, TSMC's Fab10 mainly uses 180-nm process and turns out about 45,000 wafers per month. After the capacity expansion is completed, the foundry factory's monthly output will be expanded to over 49,000 units at the end of this year. Furthermore, the firm is also going to upgrade the factory's production process into 130-nm, which will further drive up its maximum output.

Thanks good call.  If it's anything like last year, the chips flew into Shanghai's Export Processing Zone (EPZ) for customs processing.  Not sure what happened this time, but they expected only a 2-3 day additional customs clearance delay last time:

Quote from: BitSyncom on Oct 12, 2012
Let's be frank. We ran into a potential delay of 4-7 days.

What does this mean?

We when taped out the chips to TSMC we had a "projected out date" of Jan 3, 2013 which is on schedule with our late dec. / early jan. demonstration dates. Now however after this week's website update our "projected out date" has changed to Jan 7th, 2013 and "committed date" has been revealed to be Jan 10th, 2013. TSMC did not give us a reason for this, but as a small customer you are really at the mercy of bigger customers running higher priority lots. e.g. "super hot lot"  The "committed date" is the promised date of delivery, it is very unusual for TSMC to break their "committed date", so we expect our chips to ship on or before Jan 10th, 2013.

Another potential problem is Customs clearing, the packaging company Fujitsu is located in Shanghai's Export Processing Zone (EPZ), while the packaging itself will not see delays, it may take an additional 2-3 days to clear Customs. To make up for this, if it occurs, we will be flying down to Shanghai to the demonstration in the EPZ instead of waiting for the shipping to the factory for assembly.

With all this happening, it has burned through the 1 week additional leeway time we originally left out. I must say it will be difficulty for us to ship on Jan 14th, we however expect to ship around Jan 18 ~ 20.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: There's more than one person writing copy under that account.

Ya... seems familiar... taking page right out of Josh's playbook. Funny you love to chime in about Yifu but seem almost negligent to do the same rip jobs on Josh. What is so different?

Hypocrite.

Yifu is definently a f*$# boy, but isn't the more plausible scenario that a bunch of Chinese chip orders have already arrived because they don't have to deal with outgoing and incoming customs checks. AND that Yifu was being at least slightly dishonest/incompetent.
The chips are made by TSMC in Taiwan, they pass through customs to get to China.

For these chips, they could've been made in Shanghai at TSMC Fab #10 which opened in 2004.

TSMC Limited, Fab 10
4000, Wen Xiang Rd., Songjiang,
Shanghai, China

135 Boxes reportedly containing 2.1 million chips were shipped from Shanghai to Hong Kong on June 25th.

Thats a lot of chips. But it is 1 and half month ago. I guess people need a bit more patience

It is all going to hash for the Avalon team, like they did it form start.
There are hundred thousands of BTC on their mining addresses.

like: http://blockchain.info/address/158mVoizfU3xPxGGchGtnsKSixGs9XTo6v and many others...

Also We will not see BTC price rising as long as they dont stop loadout on exchange at 100$ rate, wich they do on random basis (spending on hookers and gambling).

Thay did everything they say they wont do. They premine, take over of BTC network payouts, but NOT 51% attack, because community will react fast, so they keep it silently and take most of coins through mining.

I believe nobody has an idea how much coins they mine...

Not mine machine and chips, but for their miners there is no delay in customs and no CHNY and other kind of unexpected matters.

They are doing parallel business, one is full throttle ahead, other one is having a lot of unattended delays.
Use your brain.

80% of customers are f*cked up, other 20% are used as a decoy for money income.

late next week, is here...still in customs? right"

While we have send out some chip orders, there is currently ~200k chips stuck in custom right at this moment for about 2 weeks now, this matter is very painful for us and our customers. As majority of the chip orders ( 70% ) totaling ~800k is made between early and mid-may resulting in a tight time frame to work with. We do have more chips coming in via different route next week which will ease this a little bit. (you can take this as chips will resume shipping by end of next week for now.)

Not to mention, "refunds will follow shortly, so will trade-ins"

Apparently, we have very different definitions of what 'shortly' means.

ya those sample chips still remain unexplained. a little bizzar...but it shows that something is still happening in the shipping department. Someone had to package them and ship, unless it was a stall and delay tactic.....smoke and mirrors.

Yifu ordered the chips, received a better offer/bribe/threat and sold them, ordered more from TSMC hoping to get them in time so no-one noticed.

Once the 10 weeks had passed he went quiet hoping they'd arrive soon, but 5 weeks later was forced to break cover and come up with some bullshit about customs.

That is what I am afraid of. His cutting off of communications (yet being seen logging on) is a possible confirmation. I really think we need to consider a class action lawsuit so we can have access to their records AND see if they indeed sold to someone after us (but delivered before us). I'm sure they will try to fudge the books, but it won't matter as the delivery times we were told would then, not make sense (if a large order - ours - went out to another customer before us.) Also would like to see the deposits into their account from this other customer. My bet, if they didn't hide it, is it would be larger than expected (highest bidder). Unless they are totally operating a corrupt business, they slipped up the records along the way.
