Your supposed "objective" post misses one of the problematic points about bitcoin.com and related sources of "bitcoin" information, and that is that it has been serving as an attack vector against bitcoin and part of a hostile fork through bcash and other efforts and various misleading attempts to cause regular folks to believe that they are the real bitcoin without disclosing that they are a minority hostile sabotage and attempt at a take over venture. Take your allegedly objective propaganda bullshit somewhere else.
I just had a quick look at that dumb Bcash forum and the first thing I found is that for the recent Electrum vulnerability they just copied theymos' post from here. ::) all this shows is prove you're nothing but a cheap loyalist to a defunct and currently dysfunctional system that may end up dwelling in past glory (like your rank will soon become) if it continues to be blinded with this false sense of power and pride in achievements in cryptospace. Don't let your legendaey rank in cryptoville make you feel like a king in the real world... Get the fuck out of here with your seemingly bitter and butt-hurt "loyalty" proclamations. This is not about rank, either, so you seem to be getting a couple of things mixed up with your apparently foggy thinking and perhaps also your seeming inability to understand what various characteristics, including decentralization, that is secured by proof of work, that distinguishes bitcoin from other coins, including the shitty-ass attack vector that is also known as bcash. I don't have a second to waste on people who make it a duty to first of all remove their brains from their skulls and then proceed to hit their keyboards spewing filth from empty heads. You could create a thread on the Meta board with the posts and explanation as to why you think they deserve Merit. The sources are all very active on the forum and will probably see it there. |

I had to google "how to earn merit on bitcointalk" before i landed on this thread. It will be nice if this thread can be made obvious on the home page or any appropriate section. Imo, i think is too hard to earn merit, cos by nature of bitcointalk before i should have been promoted to 'Full member' by now.
Full Member: Activity: 120, gets 3 gold coins under his name. This is from the original forum post regarding rankings. You are quite a bit away from Full Member status regardless of the new merit system just by looking at your Activity in the 80s. Thanks, i just noticed that the old rule requires 120 Activity. I was mistaking it for 120 posts. |

I think it makes finding alt accounts easier. yup its great when you have a legit account for half a year... try to get merit then get negative trusted for "Farming merit" love the new system already.... i didnt know asking for merit for legit posts then saying youd check other peoples legit posts would be farming or cheating and i was 2 weeks away from senior member now ill have to wait many months to get the merit needed because nobody even sends more then 1 merit, for multiple good comments |

How can a system be so unfair to people who needed one week for the next rank? This is extremely disappointing, I haven't received a single merit for helping quality posts in a whole week.
The people who are supposed to be slowed by this system simply go to a merit brigading channel and merit each other.

For the past one hour, I've been checking the merit points sent and received by various members. To sum it up, it's more on a popularity contest. The more famous you are, the more merits you'll have. What quality posts?! Your posts are bunch of twitter reports. You will reach my rank sooner than I will reach senior member rank. Look at my activity. Do you see that number 252 which I got only few days after merit was introduced? Well, guess what! I was senior member and I did stupid mistake deleting my post and my activity dropped only few days before merit system and because of some stupid forum bug i am full member again.  You don't see me complaining, you don't see my calling out this system. So you should stop doing it. Go and whine why bitcoin dropped, go and discuss is it good time to buy, suggest me good altcoin, please, anything but merit. Shit. Lets discuss who has bigger d..k.
