Neil Clark, writer and journalist in Op-Edge with RT: ‘It’s up to US to get on the phone to Kiev and tell them to stop this operation’http://rt.com/op-edge/156760-kiev-us-special-operation/ RT: Is Odessa going to be a turning point? Do you think this standoff between the interim Ukrainian authorities and the pro-Russia protesters is going to be a turning point or is there worse to come?
Neil Clark: I think worse could be to come, and what happens in the next few days is going to be absolutely critical here. And really what happens in the next few days is down to what happens in the US, because there’s no doubt in my mind that the US is actually in charge of the Kiev government’s assaults and the so-called anti-terrorist program that they took part in, which happened after the visit by Joe Biden to Kiev just after Easter. So this sort of anti-terrorist opposition that the Kiev junta calls it has been launched with the approval of the US. So what happens next is really down to the conversation, which is happening right at this moment, between John Kerry and the leading officials in the US and the junta in Kiev. A comment: Regula 05.05.2014 12:31
The US wants to use the Kiev junta to bait Russia into intervening in Ukraine on humanitarian grounds to then claim it was an invasion to annex Ukraine and justify stringent economic sanctions to destroy the Russian economy. For that reason, one or the other civilian is shot here and there, visibly for no cause, in hope that either Putin intervenes or that he will lose the trust of the Russian people because he didn't intervene. It is clear that unless civilian deaths or endangerment becomes considerably higher, Putin cannot intervene, as intervention would mean a war. The people will understand that.

I agree that it would be more tasteful and respectful to post links, (and maybe include some kind of indication that it's graphic content) than to directly paste the extreme images in this thread. Keep in mind some people are at work also.

From the Iranian news agency. Can't verify it. Saudi Arabia Relocating Takfiri Fighters from Syria to Ukrainehttp://english.farsnews.com/newstext.aspx?nn=13930214000824"A large number of terrorist Takfiri fighters in Syria, who bear Saudi and Chechnian nationalities and receive financial and military backup from the Saudi intelligence agency, have been transferred to the Ukrainian capital, Kiev, on several planes to help the Ukrainian army in its fight against the pro-Russian population," an Arab security official told FNA on Sunday on the condition of anonymity due to the secrecy of the issue. "The forces have been immediately dispatched to Kramatosk city in Eastern Ukraine, and are now fighting beside the Ukrainian army forces against the pro-Russians under the name of militias who support the government," the source added. A proxy war between Saudi Arabia and Russia? Time to buy some nukes Saudis.

Is Putin going all the way in Ukraine? http://www.aljazeera.com/indepth/opinion/2014/05/putin-going-all-way-ukraine-2014555315414502.htmlIt is thus becoming clear that Putin is growing anxious that his operation in Ukraine may be losing steam as the government in Kiev steps up its anti-terrorist operations in the east. As the May 25 election approaches, the window of opportunity for Putin to justify an invasion of Eastern Ukraine is closing: It will carry too high a political cost to justify invading a country with an elected president as opposed to the current "junta" in Kiev.
