This just seems like easy money to me. Alright, the odds won't look great, but Petr Yan, and Chimaev look to have a relatively easy night. Chimaev will likely look to out strike Diaz, if he can't do that he can always take it to the ground, and finish it any time he wants.
I don't think it will off betting on Chimaev as winner but maybe some special bet or win by him and fight not going long distance could be better.
I just can't see Diaz going full five or even three rounds with Chimaev, but this is his last fight in UFC so with lot of weed and preparation he could pull of some miracle.
My early prediction is Khamzat Chimaev to win with ground&pound.

I wonder what has UFC offered Nate, that he has agreed to fight Yan, when he is not really interested in money. Big fight? Nate wants to make a final fight that everyone would remember? Accepts any challenger just to get our of UFC ?
They offered him release from his contract, last fight and nice goodbye money.
Dana White don't like Diaz brother and they don't like him, but I think he will continue fighting in some new organisation.

I've got a feeling he's going to bounce from the UFC after this fight.
Can you believe that since his last fight with Connor in 2016, he only had three fights in UFC, and this will be fourth!?
I would want to leave UFC also if I was in his shoes.

He certainly didn't made money from the current contract but there could be more money to make if there was 3rd Connor vs Nate. Fans I think willing to pay to see them both fight again if it weren't for Connor's leg. So the reason why he is ready to dive whoever gives him a chance which Jake Paul was willing.

I wouldn't call him fake Khabib. I think he can be the new Khabib, especially if he keeps decimating opponents as he has been. Diaz will give him a good run for his money I'm sure and I am definitely looking forward to this fight. Hopefully it's a fight like Chimaev's last against Burns where he was the first person to go the distance with him. Khamzat definitely wasn't expecting that. Diaz has only been knocked out once I believe and even that was a ref stoppage (though he was getting battered on the floor and his corner threw in the towel as the ref went to stop it). All other fights I think he's either won or lost on points so this fight going the distance is certainly a possibility.
Burns has always been underestimated I feel. He showed up in that fight, and it's the first time we've seen Chimaev actually hurt. Like, at one point I'm pretty sure his legs give out under him. He was hurt, and as DC would say "hurt bad". However, I'm not sure if he will be the next khabib, different fighting styles. Chimaev could've gone to the ground a little more against Burns, but he seems rather stubborn, and wanted to stand toe to toe, and hopefully knock him out. While after the fight he admitted this was a mistake, it was probably due to Burns' ground game, despite Chimaev being more than proficient in that area.

Khabib on the other hand, stayed safe the majority of the time. He didn't fall in love with knocking people out, and instead stuck to his game plan. I'm not sure at least at this stage of his career if Chimaev has the same discipline as Khabib.

Chimaev isn't as discipline. Khabib will always put his opponent in a bit of disadvantage so if it were Khabib vs Burns, I would assume he'd stick to taking down once Burns miss a shot and end there dominating all rounds until he gets the chance to choke.

He's fairly young in his UFC career though, and I'm not saying he's bad for that. I mean, I've got to respect it. There was probably a much easier path to victory, but he chose not too. The few times that he got Burns on his back, he threatened with some ground, and pound. I'm not saying he would've guaranteed the win going for the ground game more, since Burns is obviously very good, and champion level on the ground. I just think it was the path with the least obstacles.

I'm not convinced he won on the night, it was a very close fight. Burns absolutely looks dangerous, and I said before he rocked Usman before Usman started releasing that jab. If Burns can sort out avoiding fighters with that jab, i.e move his head more, I think he can become champion. He'll just have to work fast for it.

Even though Khabib and Khamzat from Eastern countries, Khabib was fully under his father control. In lots of interviews Khabib and his father talked how strict his father was. For example, he had to be at home until sunset. Had to train twice a day and have good results at school. Chimaevs family has moved from Chechen Republic to Sweden. Dont know everything about Khamzat, but he has moved to Sweden with his mom and brother when he was 5. From strict Chechen Republic, were elder people (usually men) are in honour to Stockholm. This is like moving to Disneyland to him. Of course there are huge problems with discipline. Thanks god he is hardworking and stubborn, and was used to martial arts. Otherwise he Khamzat would have gone breaking bad.

Good that you have mentioned the fight between Khamzat and Burns. It showed that Khamzat isnt invincible, because he was showing off that during his UFC career he wasnt even hit once.

You mean Mike Davis?  That's the guy he lost to.  I think Mason Jones came in that fight on short notice so it's fine.  And if Jones can win vs Onama I think he has way more chances to win vs Klein with his forward pressure.  Klein hates fighting off the back foot.  Looking at my lottery ticket again, I should've placed Jones at my top ticket and Mokaev at the second one.  I feel like Mokaev could spoil everything.
I was talking about Jack Shore (the other Welsh guy) losing to Ricky Simons last weekend. It was his first professional loss. Mason yeah came in on a short notice on that fight I believe, and obviously has only lost the one in his professional record. So, going pretty well I'd say for the welsh men in the UFC.

Don't say that, I've already put Mokaev on a bet now. I've got it running with a few others on the night, and the Liverpool game today, which I don't usually like betting on friendlies, but here we go.

I do like Klein though. He's a bit frantic at times, but a good fighter nonetheless. I've obviously got Mason on my betslip. I'll post my actual bets, this one's just for fun one at the moment.

Oh right right...  Somehow I got a tad confused.  When I read 'Shore' this guy Shane Young from CKB popped in my head.  He's the guy who Klein beat with a head kick KO at the first round.  Lol.  Anyway yeah, it sucks for Shore as I really like him too.  But not as much as how the books lined him.  I had Simon for that one because Simon could crack..  Which he did.

And don't worry, it's just me.  Mokaev is really good and he should win.  It's just we haven't seen a lot in his UFC debut and there are some questions left unanswered.  I guess we'll have to see.

Ricky Simon is a special type of fighter, and I knew of his danger, but had to back my man. Unfortunately it wasn't Shore's day, but for the time he was in there I thought he looked decent. Ricky did what he usually does, except he wasn't overwhelming Shore like his past opponents. I'll definitely be betting on Ricky in the future, and hopefully the bookies haven't caught on to how good he is.

As for Khamzat, if he learns from that Burns fight he could become absolute insane to match up against. If he doesn't take what he learned on the night, he could be one of those fighters that could've been great, but constantly underestimated their opponents. I think it'll be the former though, he has the right people around him to teach him to learn from his mistakes. He got cocky coming into that fight, with not getting hit, and he definitely got hit a whole lot on the night, and Burns isn't the quickest of throwers. Khamzat didn't just get hit though, he got hit hard, multiple times looked wobbled, and I'm sure one of the times he might have actually been out for a split second, as I mentioned his legs gave way, and he just kind of face planted the floor.

^  The books would adjust right away and not make the same mistake right after it did.  Same with Schnell and his match up vs the Tibetian guy.  But the thing is there's lots more mispricing going on in MMA than a sport like say football.  Lines in the EPL are pretty efficient overall imho.

Anyway, another event with no missed weight.  That's like 5 events straight now.  Far from how it was at the Covid era when we saw at least one guy missing weight every week.

Connor has only had 5 since then as well. I don't think blame can solely be put on Dana/the UFC as it takes two to tango in the fight game.
There is a huge difference between this two fighters but two more fights is big difference even without that.
Connor didn't want to fight very much during this period, he was drinking, spending his money, having party time, and he lost four of his last five fights.
Diaz had to beg Dana And UFC to give him any fight or release him and he said this in public, but I am not worried for him because I heard contracts for other organizations are waiting him after this fight.
I don't think we are going to see Diaz vs Connor again in UFC, maybe sometime in future outside UFC is possible.

Khabib on the other hand, stayed safe the majority of the time. He didn't fall in love with knocking people out, and instead stuck to his game plan. I'm not sure at least at this stage of his career if Chimaev has the same discipline as Khabib.
I would not say Khabib stayed safe in his carrier and fight with Connor and with real bear showed that.  Smiley
He doesn't have boxing or kickboxing as a base sport from younger age, so you couldn't expect to see him like that, but sttas is showing that he finished most of his fight early, 28% with KO or TKO, and 38% was submission win, that is 66% total.

Good that you have mentioned the fight between Khamzat and Burns. It showed that Khamzat isnt invincible, because he was showing off that during his UFC career he wasnt even hit once.
Nobody is invincible in MMA, except maybe Khabib.
Everyone has stronger and weaker side and good or bad days, but if you have a perfect record and people beg you to have one more fight that makes you nearly invincible in cage.

Tongue Yeah. Although, I was more referring to his style of fighting, than the opponents he picked. He didn't avoid fights that's for sure. However, his fighting style does mitigate a lot of the dangers that most fighters present, especially when you're the best wrestler in every single fight. I've always said it, if you're the better wrestler you get to dictate the fight however you want. You can take them down or you can try, and beat them on the feet.

I just wish Khabib stayed fighting for a little bit longer, I didn't catch many of his earlier fights, since I discovered the UFC somewhat late compared to some of you here.

I also wish he continue fighting but he made a much harder choice of retiring while he was on top, and I don't think anyone could beat him from all current fighters from his category.
Good thing for everyone that he stayed in MMA sports, supporting, coaching and training other fighters that could follow his steps with team Khabib.
I still have slim hope we could see Khabib come back in some exhibition fight in future because he continue training.

-snip-

According to Diaz Dana is wanting to make the trilogy fight happen with Connor so win or lose this might not be the last we've seen on Diaz:

McGregor is expected to return to competition in February or March next year after breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier last July. There have been many names rumoured to face him including Michael Chandler, Charles Oliveira and even Henry Cejudo, but Diaz recently revealed to The MMA Hour that the UFC want him to fight McGregor for a third time next.

I wasn't the one that said it, it was Jake Paul, and here is his Tweet

Pretty much Khamzat is decimating everybody, well his fight with Gilbert Burns, I think he is cautious about getting the fight on the ground, I really think he really knows the strength of Burns on the ground that is why he pushes the Stand-up fight, that is why I go the distance, pretty much he doesn't let Burns decide the fight I think that is what happens but if Khamzat would want the fight to end his way then Grappling will be his choice, but a rematch is not really bad and for Nate Diaz, Khamzat Chimaev will not hesitate in getting Diaz into submission and let the fight on the ground, And as you have said calling Chimaev fake Khabib is not really appropriate, because Chimaev and Khabib Nurmagomedov, has different style, And with Diaz there might be a chance that we see him again, and this could not be the last time, but I don't really know of some trilogy fight but that would be boring in my opinion,

Jake Paul is a fool saying that Khamzat Chimaev is a fake Khabib but in reality, Chimaev is not trying to be like Khabib Nurmagomedov, they have their separate style I can call Khamzat Chimaev like a wild beast ready for the attack, in fact, Chimaev would love the brawl, and will not hesitate on a stand-up when he is challenged,  and Chimaev has a tendency to withstand the blow instead of waving his head evading the punch, While Khabib Nurmagomedov you are right stick to the game plan, and does what his best of,

Actually, I have known Khabib Nurmagomedov because of his fight with Conor McGregor back in 2018, I haven't watched UFC back then until I saw that fight and I think that is my 1st time loving the sports until I manage to spot some really good action and through this day I am enjoying taking an analysis of the fight especially when I've seen Khabib Nurmagomedov, unique style in fighting and I kind of love that and wanted to see that, and that is why I love him to step inside the ring again, but we still have Islam Makhachev for that matter,

Here's my bet slip for tomorrow. Remember, early start time so don't miss it, which also means I'll be staying up for the Bellator, as I can have a early ish night tomorrow.

Anyway,  my predictions:

Dalby
Jai Herbert
Mokaev
Nathaniel Wood
Marc Diakiese
Mason Jones
Paul Craig
Molly McCann
Paddy the baddy
Jack Hermansson
Curtis Blaydes

I've purposely left a few out, since it could go either way, and I'm not confident in making any bets on them. Some of the above on the other hand I've got in a betslip, which has a few bellator's in it too, so I imagine I'll lose that betslip tonight Cheesy.

Here is my pick for the UFC Fight Night: Blaydes vs. Aspinall highlighted in green are my picks

Curtis Blaydes VS Tom Aspinall

Stake odds for this fight were 2.22 for Blaydes while 1.67 for Aspinall, and After a brief moment of struggle on who is my pick and who to bet, I surely have a hard time making this, I got a hunch that Tom Aspinall may win this, and I think he can even show more in the UFC because surely all his fight was just in 1 to 2 rounds and he hasn't even shown most of his cards but his opponent this time is Curtis Blaydes one of the top rank heavyweights in the UFC, Blaydes surely got a tremendous advantage over wrestling and I think Aspinall will surely have a hard time even if he got a decent takedown defense, in all of his fights was with TKO and submission Aspinall really is finishing his opponent quickly if he can Knockout Blaydes quickly then this is Tom Aspinall's win but for me, Blaydes is one tough bastard to crack and I think the strength of Aspinall is not like Lewis, and if this goes the distance Aspinall may have a hard time in longer fights he might gas out my pick was really Tom Aspinall but I got a change of heart due to certain something, so I am going with Curtis Blaydes,

Jack Hermansson VS Chris Curtis

Stake odds for this game were 1.87 for Hermansson, while 1.94 for Curtis, I think for this fight Hermansson was from 2 Consecutive losses, from Khamzat Chimaev, and Sean Strickland it was a decision loss, while Chris Curtis, was from a win against Rodolfo Vieira, I guess this is the 1st time Curtis will be fit to a much well-known fighter, a top competitor like Jack Hermansson, it pretty much a threat to Curtis, and for me even though Chris Curtis has so much experience in his career, I will tend to go to a fighter that is very well-rounded in my opinion that is why I will go with Jack Hermansson,

Paddy Pimblett VS Jordan Leavitt

Stake odds for this game were 1.34 for Pimblett while 3.30 for Leavitt, pretty much Paddy the baddy Pimblett is the favorite to win, I mean Jordan Leavitt has good Jui Jitsu, that Paddy will surely need, but for me, that is why Dana White has given Pimblett this match I think he can get  the job done with one shit, that is why I will be going with the favorite Paddy the Baddy Pimblett although I don't like the guys, he still provide good method, of entertainment, that is why I am picking him, I will go with Paddy Pimblett,

To my surprise my Bellator bets all won. So, I'm currently up five fights on my accumulator. Still got a bloody lot to go with the UFC though, and I'm sure they'll be one that messes it up. Next on my accumulator I have:

Jai Herbert
Muhammad Mokaev
Marc Diakiese
Nathaniel Wood
Mason Jones
Paddy the baddy

Then, I've also chucked further events on it like Amanda Nunes, Magomed Anklaev, Christian Tapia, and Guido Vinaello. I know they have a chance to get cancelled, but I'm making the most of a offer on my fiat bookie. You'll notice there's some boxing in it too. Its a 16 fold accumulator Cheesy.

^  Looks good.  I picked exactly those guys too for my lottery tickets.  Again let's cross our fingers for a Mokaev win.  If there was a pie shitter in that list, it's him.  Cheesy  And doing cross events for parlays isn't that bad esp if you aren't sure about some match ups for the current event.  Maybe we should also do cross organization parlays and make picks at UFC and Bellator events next time.

Anyway, UFC London starts in 35 minutes or so guys.  Lock your bets in!  Leeezzgooo and good luck!

It was a great watch and I really enjoyed it, I haven't made a bet because I haven't seen the time, after I bet for the UFC I forgot to bet for Bellator, I thought that UFC will be early than Bellator, but my computation on the timeline was wrong, but it doesn't matter will be waiting for the UFC event to really enjoyed the fight,

But Bellator was really a great fight the fact that I can not predict who's going to win is surely a thrill if I got my bet on, like when the opening fight of Marcelo Golm VS Davion Franklin now that is a banger of a fight for the start of an event on Bellator I really though that Davion Franklin would win this because of that power the way he carries Marcelo Golm 2 times and slamming him to the ground and even Bloodied Golm by cutting his eyebrow, but due to gassing out Davion Franklin assault stopped, and on the start of round 2 Golm cut was revealed and it was a nasty cut but the officials continue the fight, and Davion Franklin was really exhausted, he is not really used in getting the distance, and from that I have enjoyed all other Bellator fights,

Looking forward to seeing Paddy the Baddy back in the ring. Amazing how much weight he lost so fast after going absolutely crazy eating after his last fight. Also looking forward to seeing Suga Sean’s next fight. A lot of people are counting him out so it might be a make or break fight for him.

How many fights you predicted correctly in Bellator?
In UFC you got it really good and correctly for Jai Herbert, Muhammad Mokaev, Marc Diakiese and Nathaniel Wood, but you missed only one pick on Mason Jones Sad
Prelims finished and you can tune in and watch UFC main card, Volkan Oezdemir just won against Paul Craig, but aside from that British fighter had good results so far.
My main pick is Curtis Blaydes and maybe Alexander Gustafsson could make surprise win in his comeback.

Yeah that khamzat vs burns game was a total war i was watching the fight live and i thought khamzat will lose this time he sustained a considerable amount of damage i think it could've gone either way i agree that he need to correct the mistakes with the level he showed that night he will not be able to beat usman.

Like I said, I'll be supporting Tom, but if I were to put a bet on or make a prediction it would be Curtis, probably via decision due to his superior wrestling. Now, if Tom comes out, and dominates on the ground, that'll definitely put him in high regard. I just can't see that happening. The odds are also close suggesting the bookies are also thinking that Tom has the stand up advantage while Curtis has the ground advantage.
I expected a good main event but just like the last main event, the opponent got injured as Tom Aspinall injured his knee after landing a solid leg kick and even though Curtis Blaydes did not check the knee, he went down in pain and it was really disappointing and a lot of people lost money in the fight.

Star of the night is Paddy Pimblett and Molly McCann and Paddy Pimblett surprised me with his ground skills as i expected an upset tonight  Wink.

Alexander Gustafsson needs to retire for good as he cannot take a punch now and Nikita Krylov smashed him from the start.

Volkan Oezdemir surprised me with a decision win and Jack Hermansson improved his striking so much as Chris Curtis had no idea on how to counter them Cheesy.

Here is the result of my picks for the UFC Fight Night: Blaydes vs. Aspinall

Curtis Blaydes VS Tom Aspinall ROUND 1 KO/TKO - WIN

And just like that Tom Aspinall's knee just gave out, it could be that Curtis Blaydes was made of metal blades, or Aspinall needs to drink a lot of milk for him to quickly get injured for we can not get any from the fight because the fight didn't last for long, but there is something that I notice why is Tom Aspinall going to Blaydes more recklessly I really though that Aspinall has the fight IQ or can fight technically but that was really unexpected from him, but it is good to which bet for Curtis Blaydes and I really need to thanks Welsh for having some of his opinions for this, but man I really feel sorry for Tom Aspinall and wish him a speedy recovery,

Jack Hermansson VS Chris Curtis ROUND 3 DECISION - WIN

1st round was so close each fighter are reading their opponent exchanging strikes and checking their distance, pretty much Hermansson can go for the takedown but he didn't, and in the 2nd round Jack Hermansson was now really familiar with the distance and capitalizing his reach with kicks until Hermansson explode and brawling Curtis, but Curtis is defending with all he can, but it is off to naught it was really a pretty entertaining fight in my opinion and I really love it,

Paddy Pimblett VS Jordan Leavitt ROUND 2 SUBMISSION - WIN

It was insane one of the best walkouts that I have seen most people are chanting Paddy, Baddy, and for Paddy the Baddy it was an awesome sight, in my opinion, he should also give credit to Jordan Leavitt for giving Pimblett a hard time during the 1st round, and men Leavitt was so strong controlling the fight by carrying Paddy and slamming him on the ground, but many have said that Jordan Leavitt should have won the 1st round, because of the control but I think those controls don't have a count with the score, it was Paddy Pimblett who is close to finishing the fight with a guillotine and actually a 2 times Guillotine on Leavitt, but to no success, the scoring on the rounds isn't really necessary because Pimblett have shown great jiu Jitsu even though I think his strikes do not have technicality in it, his grappling was superb, getting that Rear naked choke to Leavitt was a sight for fighters on the division to look out for Paddy Pimblett,
