^ The Pakistan squad is certainly dominated by pace bowling. But I do think that if Pakistan makes the tracks only suited for fast bowling, The matches are going to be not so interesting.
Because I don't think there will be too many runs scored in that series.

But, I also have to say that for test cricket I don't remind watching tracks that help the fast bowlers. And because both the teams have some quality fast bowlers I think we are going to see some really good fast bowling from both teams.

Yasir shah who has 236 test wickets is held in reserve players list along with muhammad abbas, both are experienced bowlers.  Cliffe Deacon, who is  physiotherapist of Pakistan team lodged a complaint against them saying he is not satisfied by there approach towards training and practice. Both need to work hard to make it to playing 11.

Yasir Shah is the only recognized spinner in Pakistani squad AFAIK but he is in reserves. Nauman Ali is good one but he is very new and I havent seen him bowling in Pakistan. If you see squad of Pakistan for this tour then its clearly domnated by pace attacks which tells the story about how pitches will be.

I haven't heard much about Nauman Ali. Why quality spinners are not emerging from Pakistan? If I am not wrong, Saqlain is the head coach of the Pakistan national team as of now. But he mostly stays away from the media. Even in the ongoing PSL, I haven't spotted a lot many quality spin bowlers. There is no dearth of pace bowlers, but the variety in spin is lacking with most of the franchises. This is very ironic, considering the fact that sub-continent teams are considered as spin powerhouses.

After saqlain mustaq the recognised spin bowlers was saeed ajmal who was banned from bowling. Right now Yasir Shah is the only experienced spin bowler in Pakistan side. Nauman Ali and Sajid Khan are new one in spin department and have shown good performance in all there appearances.
Spinners are of no use in T20 as boundaries are short specially in leagues and environment is volatile. That's why most franchise of PSL are not in favour of spinners.

I think because Pakistan has a really good history of pace bowlers and mostly because when the kids play pace bowling seems to be more fearsome than spin bowling. because when they are bowling against other kids they think that they have the pace with them and they can beat the batsman easily with that.

so I think it is a little something of a psychological thing that is ingrained in their brain. Pakistan has produced some good spin bowlers over the years but in any other country of the subcontinent we see a lot of spin bowlers but not in Pakistan. Here we have the Wannabe Shoaib Akhtar’s.

Imran Khan can be said to be the main reason for the love affair of pace bowling in Pakistan and then they had Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis along with players like Aaqib Javed and the street cricket produces more players and in the streets you need to defeat the batsman with pace and if you are a slow bowler you will be taken apart and may be that is the reason everyone wants to bowl fast and exceptional bowlers get selected to domestic and other levels.

For example in the case of Waqar Younis, who started as a leg spinner but turned to fast bowling and Imran Khan found him playing for clubs and he fast tracked his career in the international level and he was not having much experience playing domestic cricket either when he was picked for Pakistan team, either you need a great captain who can identify talents and have the time to travel the nation to find talents to fast track them or the players need to work hard through the system and gets identified.

Agree with this. Spin never had the glamor and blitz that was associated with pace bowling, at least in Pakistan. Back in the 90s, Shoaib Akhtar was all over the news for his attempt to break the 100 mph barrier. Even kids in India that time used to worship him. There was actually a battle between Akhtar and Brett Lee, which got ugly at times. Akhtar eventually broke the barrier, with his 100.2 mph delivery in 2003. His record was eventually broken by Shaun Tait of Australia with a 100.3 mph fireball in 2010.

I really don’t remember any spin bowler from Pakistan except for Afridi cause he used to bowl Spin, or was he a medium fast bowler always had trouble understanding his bowling. Also didn’t Shaun Tait have that weird action and despite having the pace he barely performed well, just googled and it was also injuries which effected his career, because I clearly remember he had the potential to succeed but he failed too.

Qadir and Mustaq were very good and last 2 guys also peaked for quite some time but disappeared for some reasons. In modern times Yasir Shah is my fav pakistani spin bowler but i can't see him anywhere nowadays and he seems to get into limelight due to some shady business irl.

I really don't know the situation of Pakistan but I really think that favoritism is Pretty less here compared to India or Bangladesh. I think that is a big reason why Pakistani cricketers are pretty genuine and skillful. And there are people on the board who actually cares about the team more than money.

I really don’t remember any spin bowler from Pakistan except for Afridi cause he used to bowl Spin, or was he a medium fast bowler always had trouble understanding his bowling. Shahid Afridi and Saqlain Mushtaq are the two names that come into mind when we talk about Pakistan and spin bowling. And yes Shahid Afridi was a leg-spin bowler who opens bowled at 120+ kmph speed.

So it's OK to get confused by watching his bowling. And Shaun Tait who was a fast bowler, from Australia, is 38 years old right now and just got lost through injuries.

Abdul Qadir, Saqlain Mushtaq, Saeed Ajmal and Danish Kaneria are few name comes to my mind. All the names that are mentioned above are some of the Legends of the game and Yasir Shah is a really good leg-spin bowler who had the potential to be mentioned alongside them. But I think he genuinely didn't care. We all know how hard it was at that time to find genuine leg spinners when he came into the scene. But I think he valued other things over his career.

You can see quality of his spin by his stats. In 398 ODIs he picked 395 wickets, almost one wicket per ODI. While in 99 T20I he has picked only 98 wickets. He is just an average bowler nothing special about his spin. Despite his average stats both in Batting and bowling he manage to play 398 ODIs for Pakistan.

There are few names missing from your list because I also have some information about Pakistan cricket history and there are few very good spinners even their careers were not long and have the good number of games due to internal politics but still their contribution was amazing, and they have very good time with team.

Intikhab Alam regarded as legendary spinner and done very good for team even after retirement after this we have Abdul Qadir, Iqbal Qasim and Tauseef after these three we have Mushtaq Ahmad and Saqlain Mushtaq and then Danish Kaneria and Saeed Ajmal currently we have Yasir Shah and recently man done very good job in Bangladesh Sajid Khan even these all are not good Indians but still done very good job.

LOL.. anyone watching the ongoing New Zealand vs South Africa test match? Kiwis prepared a minefield to welcome the Proteas and the latter got blown away for just 95 runs. Matt Henry picked up 7 for 23, while the other three pacers got one wicket apiece (Tim Southee, Kyle Jamieson and Neil Wagner). When it comes to pace bowling, there is simply no competition to New Zealand. They are the best right now, and that too by a considerable distance. Reminds me of the Aussie attack two decades back, when they had McGrath and Lee.

SA performed very well in there recent series against India they won both ODI and Test series. But they collapsed here and played just 2 sessions of Day 1, Zubayr Hamza was top scorer as he made 25 runs. NZ are in command now and odds are definitely in there favour.

In my interval of around an hour after the toss had taken place, not only was SA's batting collapsed, but NZ is in command as well. NZ had some great spells, but I missed them. I don't mean to offend anyone, but I believe it's impossible to tell the pitch from the outfield at Hagley Oval. Winning the toss and getting the other team out is the goal. Afterwards, bat on Days 2, 3 and wear the opponents down, and you'll have a winner (home team)

Dark green pitch lol Watched only 15 mins of gameplay, apart from kiwis performance so far.

I was more surprised that Amazon also jumping into cricket streaming. Have to say it was nice experience, they also broadcasted NZvsBAN game in the past. I thought it was one time thing but i guess no, they are exploring new territory.

I wasn't able to see the match so far, so don't know whether it's pitch of NZ actually bowled well. It's first time since 1932 that SA were bowled out on total of less then 100. While Richard Hadlee was the third NZ bowler with highest wickets in an innings after Ajaz Patel and Richard Hadlee.

I think this is absolutely outrageous for the neutral party who are trying to enjoy a good cricket match. They just made the pitch for bowling and luck was on their side.

Because they won the toss and sent South Africa to batting. And as expected, South Africa got stomped on. And we all know that the pitch is going to settle down a bit later and South Africa is not going to get the help that New Zealand got.

South Africa got absolutely deleted on the first day. They have been bowled out for only 95 runs. And that also happened under 50 overs. New Zealand is already ahead by 21 runs and they have 7 wickets in hand.
It is a good thing that Amazon decided to stream cricket matches. This is going to be really beneficial for them in my opinion. Both from viewers and money-making points of view.

The pitch is absolutely green and it's absolutely true that the pitch is hard to separate from the outfield. This is absolutely nowhere near to the ideal pitch where cricket should be played.

Looking at the pitch I think we all knew what is going to happen and I think we all got our answer. South Africa was absolutely deleted by the bowling of New Zealand and now NewZealand has a firm grip on the match.

The pitch isn't entirely green today, and it is detectable from the outfield as well. The pitch condition isn't so bad. Actually, South African players has shown some poor performance today. Although New Zealand has lost their first three wickets, but they are at the front seat of the match now. They will win the match for sure if the rain doesn't interrupt in the game.

This is a bowling pitch. It is easy to assume that such a pitch will help the bowlers. The South African batsmen should have batted more carefully. They made a mistake and lost all their wickets for just 95 runs. New Zealand lost 3 wickets and scored 116 runs. The match is under the complete control of New Zealand. A few days ago, New Zealand defeated Bangladesh by an innings and 117 runs in this field.
