I did not expect Pakistan to win even after Australia set a target of 314 runs. Pakistan has an experienced ODI squad though. However, it is very difficult to win by batting for 314 runs. Moreover, the opponent here is experienced Australia. Pakistan bowlers should have bowled better. If they could have stopped the Australians by 280, Pakistan would have had a chance to win.

Pakistani bowling today is totally not up to the mark. There are many new bowlers used today Muhammad Wasim and Zahid Mehmood had there first ODI today, also Shaheen Afridi was not in squad today. Pakistan should try to avoid whitewash as Australia are looking in good touch in first ODI. Imam and Head both scored centuries for there countries but Head century was fruitful.

Batting for 314 runs, Pakistan had the ability to win. But for this it was necessary to build the partnership of Babar Azam's Rizwan. Rizwan did not play well today. For Pakistan team, chasing this big total is always going to be a challenge, and they need to improve their bowling and batting performance. Babar Azam and Imam Ul Haq are the only players to make an impact for the Pakistan team. Otherwise, what a disappointing performance by Pakistan in the match against Australia. Even without their main players, the Aussies were able to beat Pakistan at home. A 88-run win gives Australia a 1-0 series lead. Pakistan's loss of both the test and one-day series to Australia is considered 'hospitality'?

Looks like a total of 350-360 is in the cards here. To be honest, this time there was hardly any competition for the Australians. They just steamrolled their opponents. India failed to qualify for the semi-finals and it was not surprising for me after years of neglect from the BCCI. Teams like Australia need to win trophies, because the cricket board treats women's cricket as a priority.

@Sithara007 it’s been a one side match so far with Australia women completely dominating the West Indies team, and currently they have scored 305 runs for the loss of 3 wickets, hence I’m too expecting them to score 350 - 375 runs as the end target. Furthermore I believe that West Indies women team will crumble under the pressure of chasing this mammoth score, hence I’m predicting an easy victory for the Australian women team.

I would call India unlucky not to qualify for the semi finals as they started the tournament with good performances. However, later they lose their momentum. On the other hand, England women's team started the tournament with losses in their initial matches but they bounced back well in the later matches and finally qualified for the semi finals.

You can't use same excuse again n again, hearing this excuse since 2017 when they lost the finals against the England.

Point is our girls are not learning anything from their mistakes, they keep choking on key moments and virtually no consistency. Less we talk about their fitness level and fielding the better. Yes they are talented, no doubt about that but this is also true they are far behind on fitness level when comparing to SENA countries. Then they also have unnecessary rift between senior players.

yahh, Women's cricket is already not big enough. And among these teams, India is a very promising team in my opinion. But it's been long and we have seen what promises are worth. Now the promises are just not enough and they have to start delivering. I know they are a little bit neglected when it comes to BCCI but even the board is not going to give them what they want unless they are not bringing good enough results.

So far BCCI policy clearly indicate that Women's cricket is not their priority and treat them as second class citizen.

Having said that recent announcement regarding WIPL suggest that there might be a some hope for the BCCI and their attitude towards Women's cricket in India. This would help these girls tremendously and we'll see drastic improvement in future. I just hope that BCCI go ahead with their plan this time.

Yesterday its there men team who won against Pakistan quite comprehensively while today its there Women team who did same in semis against WI. Yesterday its there men team who won against Pakistan quite comprehensively while today its there Women team who did same in semis against WI. WI Women made couple of upset in Group stage by beating England and New Zealand to make it to semi finals. Its a good journey for WI Women team in this WC.

In the second ODI Australia are the underdogs according to the bookmakers and if you think Australia will win the match you can place a bet on them .

 When it comes to the World Cup, Australian woman is a really strong team and they are on the way to win the World Cup until there is an upset and the only team that is capable of doing that right now is South African Woman as they have won a few matches chasing down targets. So it is going to an really interesting match.

SA after doing so good in initial stage of tournament is about to be eliminated and one of big three aka australia, england and New Zealand will grab the women WC once more. We have to wait for 4 more years to see if any new country can also win this tournament or not. SA need 168 runs in 16 overs with only three wickets in hands.

SA who were favourite for today's match failed to come up to expectations.

England women won by 137 runs today, SA has only lost one match in group stage but now they are out. Credit for this victory goes to Danni Wyatt and Sophia Dunkley whose knock help England giving target of 293. Meanwhile in England bowling Sophie Ecclestone took 6 wickets. SA who were favourite for today's match failed to come up to expectations.

England's performance in the first matches on the group stage was also very poor. And it was very challenging for them to be in the first 4 teams of the table. They lost the first 3 matches. They have corrected their mistakes. And won the next 4 matches. They have been able to maintain this continuity. England completely dominated the match against South Africa. The bowlers have been able to perform their duties well. And that's why they got a huge 137 run win against South Africa.

Never understand why they need to bat second after winning the toss especially when they have faced the music in the 1st ODI 

In this 2nd ODI, Pakistan already lost this match as I don't think we have the batting strength to chase down the 350 target. So far both the openers are looking solid but I doubt they can continue with the same pace through the 50 overs.

Choosing the right team is definitely a challenge. After losing three in a row, the England women's team began to receive criticism, but what an amazing turnaround. However, if they are going back to back, they better put full effort into it because the Australians are untouchable so far.

I suppose you are miscalculating the strength of the Pakistan team. How is the score of 214/1 in 31 overs a bad start for the team?
Right now Pakistan teams looking favorite to win this match unless there is any batting collapse by them.
Imam ulhaq made a century and proved wrong to everyone who was pointing fingers on his performance. Babar Azam would like to win this match in order to keep the series alive.
