That’s very sad to hear from a Nigerian. You should at least try having some faith in your team. Cameroon haven’t been impressive in the tournament so far, why would you write Nigeria off to a opponent that’s not even better than them? I can’t say I’m pleased with the style of football José Peseiro making our boys play. Nigerians are calm because he's getting the results miraculously. In the end what is important in football is the three points.

Pokapoka, you don't have to say a lot with him. You don't really have to respond to what he's saying because it's obvious that he's just a fan of Cameroon, or better say, and not a fan of Nigeria, So maybe he's one of those that are not wishing Nigeria well or are seeing Nigeria as a threa, in the AFCON competition, but the truth of the matter is Nigeria have all it takes to win in this match today and every other person that thinks that Nigeria cannot beat Cameroon is wrong. Now that it has happened, then let's hear from them again.

For the first time in this tournament I'm feeling confident that the Nigerian team is going to progress past the Cameron. The Nigerian are playing a very compact games and they are not allowing many goals into their own net. I can't really say this about their opponent. Osimhen has to start scoring goals, he is a big name and much is expected from him. He has to find his goal scoring shots and do what a stricker of his caliber is supposed to do.

I think the more we expect from Victor Osimhen, the less he performs. You won't say no to the performances that Victor Osimhen has done so far. You won't also embrace him as much because he has not made much goals as people have expected him to do, but that is even the issue for him.

So the more people expecting more goals from him, the less he is able to deliver the goals because at every opportunity that lies in his hand, he only wants to make people proud. We are not allowing Victor Osimhen to play his natural game. Rather, we are forcing him to be that super player that is playing in the midst of other players, which may not necessarily be the case.

And every player too has his ways of responding to pressure from people, Maybe Victor Osimhen is not good at resisting pressures from fans and that could be another factor that will affect his performance in this tournament, but so far so good Inasmuch as Nigeria is still in the tournament and Victor Osimhen has assisted in some of the goals that have been conceived to have even made Nigeria go to where it is now, we will still rate him as a star that he is.

I must say I was impressed with the Super Eagles performances today as I took out my time to stream the match live. They really tried, not like before, where their main focus was on defence and they were finding it difficult to score against their opponents.

The only player I'll pick out for criticism is Alex Iwobi, dude does not know what he's playing. He couldn't pass or distribute the ball, even had a sitter that he squandered. If he was playing under a coach like Jose Mourinho, I'm sure he'd have been relegated to the bench.

Cameron will end the career of Nigeria football in this AFCON tournament and tomorrow evening Nigerian players will come home. And all the games in the AFCON today were draw. Namibia drew with Mali 0-0. South Africa which I was thinking that would win their march drew with Tunisia. And Tunisia was very strong in the back days of 2005 which was the year they scored Nigeria. Tanzania also drew with Dr. Congo  then Zambia and Morocco was the game I had an interest to to watch today.

I am not in support of Nigeria team tomorrow because their games give high blood pressure. But let see how the outcome will be.

Since the commencement of the ongoing CAF African Cup Of Nations, this is the first time that I've been clearly convinced that the Super Eagles of Nigeria are truly one of the favorites of the competition. They might not be scoring many goals as expected but the Nigeria national team have conceded just one goal in four games so far in the tournament.

Ademola Lookman scored the two goals that handed the Nigeria team the win tonight but it was how Victor Osimhen was bullying the Cameroonian defence that really caught my attention and even when the Nigeria striker isn't scoring goals as expected, there's no doubt to the fact that he's been very instrumental to the success of the team and that's what a good striker does for his team. Hopefully for the Nigeria team, they might just reach the final of this tournament

The Eagles are really doing great in the first half of this encounter, they need more fire power to get more goals because I don't see the Cameroonians doing anything against the defense of the Eagles to get a goal.

We all are happy for the improvement of the team scoring our first 2 goals in a game and the victory but it's never enough until we get things right especially in that midfield, it needs some recruitment. We need a play makers in that midfield and if you check how we played, it was as if our midfielders are not stable.
Iwobi on the midfield still lack that confidence, only if he's that good with the ball I believe the Cameroonians would have suffered a lot in that game. I just hope against Angola the coach would try as much as he can to make the midfield strong than it was against Cameroon.

Yes the Super eagles of Nigeria made Nigerians proud yesterday and everyone was happy for their awesome display, I saw a lot of Nigerians turn up to watch this match between Nigeria and Cameroon, it indeed shows love and devotion for our beloved country no matter how hard things are getting for the country, it citizen still shows compassion for the country.

It was really a sweet an deserving victory for the Nigerian team, because through out the game, they where the better side even though they were criticized alot by their own fans for the lack of goals in the team during the build up to this game.

Well, this is the best performance of the Super Eagle we have ever seen so far. I was wowed by their physical strength of no gree for Cameronia's team to score or make an attempt in the goalpost.

What the Super Eagle displayed last night against Cameron's team is a pure definition of the slogan that says "no gree for anybody this year''. They were out to battle it out with them for the quarter-final qualifications.

I am pretty much happy the Super Eagle won and they didn't fall our hands due to their previous poor performance that got many Nigerians to predict a loss match for the Super Eagle.

How I wish the Super Eagles would go on with this team spirit, and strong communication between themselves when they play against Angola by next week.

In last few years, we are having one of the best team for the Nigeria which is having perfect package for me because their attack and defense having good depth which is important for the win in big events and their performance in this last game was at the top which is surely giving all the best for the coming matches. Cameroon are the better side when it comes to the midfield play. But they have not being able to do any real damage. Their attack have been weak, kudus to the Nigerian defense. Nigeria has done a great job in the first 45 minutes. I expect a more feisty game in the second half. I wouldn’t mind if the manager switches to a full defense and try to not concede a goal. 

This new defensive formation looks more favorable to Nigeria because we have been conceding less goals and that way we will be able to win matches. I know what the coach is trying to do, winning is all that matters so he is not really after possession or controlling the game but rather he is after scoring goals.

Cameroon was clearly better handling the ball but Nigeria was more clinical and dangerous towards goal, they have more goals scoring chances and had more goals. Three men defensive formation is not so bad for Nigeria as they are now conceding less goals and if they can keep up the momentum then they should be able to progress gradually.

I couldn't agree more. That was indeed one of them best games in the African Cup of Nations Competitions and they've just played another big country. First it was Ivory Coast to boost them confidence and last night it was Cameroon who they won. They made sure tue game was sealed as they went ahead to win the game with clean sheets.

Anybody also focused on Alex Iwobi? That man was the main link between the midfielder's and attackers.

For Victor Oshime, his next club immediately he leaves Napoli would benefit from him alot, he offered more than the role of a central forward for Nigeria anyways. He was indeed a hunter and warrior tracking those balls for Nigeria last night. Great night for the lads you get me? Lol.

The aggressive nature of the Afcon came to light yesterday during the Super Eagles and indomitable lions' match . I was kinda scared for Osimhen during one of his tackles. It's good to see that professionalism has crept into African football and it was well orchestrated by Osimhen himself who would have been selfish to try scoring on his own.
Angola is going to be a tougher opponent and am sure if the Eagles were to succeed, no other team would knock them out till the finals.

This was indeed Nigeria’s best performance in the African Cup of Nations since it began. What amazes me is the fact that they put in this performance in when they needed it the most, which is in the knockout stage of the competition. With the performance of Nigeria yesterday against Cameroon, a lot of people are already forecasting Nigeria to make it to the finals of this competition. They still have two more matches before the final, and how they perform in their next two matches will determine if they can make it to the finals. What an impressive game from Nigeria, I hope they’ll continue with this spirit of top quality till the end of the competition.
