What's your prediction on CLAMS price in the next few days folks? Did it already reach the max yesterday (not considering July peak) or it is just standing still a bit to reach ..... ? Dooglus effect will still impact positively on this coin or it already did? What do you feel?
I see it as long term growth Just-Dice has a huge capitalization as a service and Dooglus is fair and competent in all respects.

Syncing a virgin db, and clamd seems to be getting "stuck" on orphan blocks...

At this point it's just a bunch of "ORPHAN BLOCK 751" messages, although the block hashes for each seem to be different. It doesn't seem to be accepting new blocks. Is the client hitting some sort of limit? I have to stop and restart it in order for it to accept more network blocks. Once it hits 751 orphan blocks it gets stuck again. This has happened about 5 times now.
The phrase "ORPHAN BLOCK 751" currently appears 51327 times in my debug log. Now on 6th restart.

Im still confused of how the clams wallet will know of my btc , ltc , and doge? With just syncing the wallet. Do I have to do something to get it to know to get clams?
You have to import your wallet.dat file or the private keys of your BTC, LTC or DOGE into the CLAMclient. If you are completely new to crypto and just wish to sell then you may prefer to use just-dice.com to claim your CLAMs. For more help please visit the IRC channel: http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=clamsJust-Dice FAQ: https://just-dice.com/#faqCLAMclient Import: http://clamclient.com/#/import/Long Live the Great CLAM! this is will help me how to get my clam...thank for this

My little amateur analysis on the price : it should go up as gamblers lose their CLAM and need to buy more to keep playing on j-d. The CLAM they lost will be hoarded in the j-d bankroll. More CLAM will be diged and will supply a portion of the demand but think the price will go up as the demand for CLAM grows from the people who want to invest more in the j-d bankroll, want to play or understand the dynamics and buy CLAM to make a profit. On one hand, the price went up from 0.0005 to 0.004 but 0.01 will be reached again within months, 0.005-0.006 could become a floor in Early 2015 and we may see 0.02 and up in 2015. On the other hand, maybe a big bitcoin website has tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of addresses with CLAM. If it digs them and dumps them on the market, we will be lucky to sustain 0.0015

The challenge for every POS coin is getting people to use/buy&sell the coin rather than just hoarding it in a wallet. With a 1% house edge JD allows quite a bit of fluidity - some people will cash out coins, others will buy to play - it's win-win. One of the major "risks" with CLAM would be that nobody digs them up and a limited supply could dry up. We NEED lots of CLAMs to be dug up for the long-term future of the coin. Even if that means temporary dips in the market price

What is the conversion rate from BTC, LTC & DOGE to CLAM? In other words, how many CLAMs do you get for your BTC, LTC & DOGE? Was scanning & searching the thread but missed it.

I'll do market for market. So for example with DOGE I use Crytpsy bid price and Polo ask price. I'm in Just-dice.com chat box generally.

There is no direct conversion. It doesn't matter how many btc/ltc of doge you had. An address with 1M btc would get the same ~4.6 CLAM's as an address with .0001 btc. Any address that was over dust for the respective coin (.0001 for ltc and btc, .1 for doge) were all given the same amount. Unless you mean current trading value, then of course, there is a conversion as BAC said

Maybe changing it to award 2-3 people 1 clam every minute or let it scale to something like difficulty. THere should never be a machine though thats able to generate clams like sha256 or other altcoin algorithms. Unique coins like POS is what the altcoin industry needs since everything else is just copies

The coin just needs to be more used, the current price makes it likely that a lot more clams will be dug up.

Okay, I'm not buying Just Dice as the reason for the CLAM price growth. Who even uses that site? The main CLAM site is a random Wordpress theme with pictures that don't even match the branding of the coin (looks to just be the default theme pics).
Welcome to the CLAM thread.
The CLAM website isn't run on WordPress.... it is run on Ghost. We are volunteers; if you believe you can create a better website, we more than welcome your contribution.
I don't personally pretend to have a crystal-ball that can predict nor explain markets. However, the answer to: "Who even uses that site?" is likely a rather long answer. Just-Dice has a long history of large bank-rolls and met obligations.
More detail than the above, will likely have to be discovered and researched by yourself.

Okay, I'm not buying Just Dice as the reason for the CLAM price growth. Who even uses that site?
Check the balance of CLAM address [ xJDCLAMZ] (if you can - I don't know of a good way, but would like to) It currently has 137,935 CLAMs. The Just-Dice wallet currently shows: $ clamd getstakinginfo | grep -e weight -e expect "weight" : 125057.90652447, "netstakeweight" : 169232.88858409, "expectedtime" : 99 ie. it has 125k of the total network weight of 169k. If you put your CLAMs in the Just-Dice bankroll you get a share of the staking rewards. The site wallet has staked 3544 blocks since it started holding CLAMs less than a week ago. Maybe you need to revise your purchasing decision.
