Fixed it, FYI for anyone else, I delete poolstate.bin and p2state file from data directory leaving just the blockchain file and restarted. Synced again now, sorry for wasting forum space, LOL

Also had to recover wallet from passphrase, file was corrupted (don't know why)

i didn't notice that there is a topic of wolf xmr miner : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1600363.0
some users say rx480 is mining xmr successfully (but some others don't succeed)

wolf-aeon-miner use basically the same code. results must match
the win64 binary with latest newer driver bugfix just came online (aeon_gpu_miner_c8a5322)
https://github.com/Arux-BTT/wolf-aeon-miner/releases

[edit] tested on win10 64bits, tahiti gpu and 16.9.1 driver

After seeing your post i removed all drivers installed with guru and then did a clean install of 16.9.1. Then downloaded your latest miner and still nothing worked. Even my older cards. I also installed AMD SDK 3.0 as well. Tried all kinds of different conf settings and have given up for now. Went back to mining with my older cards. Ill just mine XMR with the RX 470/480 i have. I really dont understand this at all. 😕

I have 280x, driver is 16.9.1.
Miners are wolf-xmr-miner-v0.4 for XMR and aeon_gpu_miner_c8a5322 for AEON.

With bouth of miners I have rejected shares on XMR and AEON.

Can someone with working miner post here his .conf files??

i tested wolf-xmr-miner v0.4.
Same platform (tahiti gpu), same conf file: it's working in linux (latest commit a7d8072, share accepted) but the official win64 binary (two commits behind) don't work with 16.9.1 driver(low diff share)
i guess the binary need to be build again with latest commit.

my latest win64 binary for aeon (c8a5322) was built with latest commit and is working for me in linux and windows10, 16.9.1 driver.

my xmr conf files:
Code:

"pass": "x"
}
]
}
]
}

and my aeon conf file:
Code:
{
"Algorithms":
[
{
"name": "AEON",
"devices":
[
{
"index": 0,
"corefreq": 975,
"memfreq": 1500,
"fanspeed": 65,
"powertune": 20,
"threads": 1,
"rawintensity": 1328,
"worksize": 16
},
{
"index": -1,

}
],

"pass": "x"

the source of the "Low difficulty share" is unclear for me, i don't see where it's coming from  Huh

Security advisory regarding RPC wallets

MWR Labs reported a vulnerability to Monero (see link below). It applies to all Cryptonote-based which use simplewallet, when simplewallet is used in RPC mode. RPC mode is not the default and would have to be enabled by the command line.

The primary situation in which this would occur is running a GUI wallet wrapper which accesses simplewallet via the rpc service (several are listed in the advisory, though most are obsolete). It could also occur if simplewallet running in rpc mode were used to support a service (such as exchange back end) and the system on which the wallet is hosted is also used with a browser (it would not be a good idea to do this in any case).

The vulnerability occurs when a user:

1. Is using simplewallet in rpc mode
2. Is using a web browser on the same system as simplewallet
3. Browses to a malicious site

Monero implemented a fix for this but the fix is complex and back porting it to AEON's older code base, along with the necessary testing and careful evaluation to avoid introducing any new vulnerabilities does not make sense given that we are moving away from that codebase and simple workarounds exist. I have instead decide to issue this advisory. I may also release a simpler, partial fix that reduces the vulnerability, but caution will still be needed.

In the case of AEON, I have not determined whether the community-supported GUI wallet listed in the OP uses the rpc mode and is vulnerable, though that is most likely the case. As such I recommend not to use the community supported GUI and noted this in the OP. I'm not aware of any other wrapper wallets for AEON but if any exist the same advice would apply.

In addition, if you are using simplewallet in RPC mode for any reason, you should avoid doing so on the same system as a web browser. If you are using simplewallet in the default mode without enabling RPC, you are not affected

In fact, many other cryptocurrencies besides the Cryptonote family have a similar issue. For example, Vanillacoin/Vcash and Ethereum don't have RPC authentication by default, though of course they only listen on localhost. I'm not aware of similar attacks on them, but it's good to keep in mind as a general principle.

guys.. i found something a little bit weird here...
when i look at http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/aeon/#markets ,
it show total supply 12.4million

and also at the same time bittrex is dominating 100% Aeon's volume trading at the moment

Meanwhile at bittrex... only 1.2 million Aeon being traded
https://bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-AEON

So.. where the rest of the token? or is it coinmarketcap who show wrong stat?

1.2 million AEON refers to the amount of coins that are deposited in the Bittrex wallets, but is not counting the coins that are in the users own wallets on their PC/Laptop.

yeah i know that there will be other people who kept their token... but still only 10% is being traded is somehow seems "weird" u know... if it is 30% or 40% then it is still quite logical .

edit:
well nevermind,... just wanna make sure if the supply on coinmarketcap is wrong or not... btw if coinmarketcap is correct then, aeon is pretty cool.  Grin
