1441  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Peer pressure as a substantial gambling catalyst. on: August 08, 2023, 11:18:31 PM
Not an article but a video wherein a guy from Vegas was a younger than mine and he has said that he's earning a few thousand to hundreds and even millions depending on the bets he makes. Well, it's social media and can literally fool someone and just a showy video to make it look like he's got the credibility of what he's saying. When someone tries to convince me, I am not inspired because I've got my own way of gambling and I don't need anyone to pushy like that.
1442  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: August 08, 2023, 10:12:04 PM
You don't have to be proud of what you're doing and if a gambler keeps his gambling activities a secret, there could be many reasons. His wife and family probably don't like it but as soon as he wants to gamble, he needs to limit himself. Another reason could be that there's a taboo for gamblers. The society made it look like most gamblers are irresponsible and don't live a good life and that's why many just chooses to keep it as a secret. So, if someone thinks like that, then there will be a lot of gamblers that will force to keep it as a secret.
1443  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hacker attacks again on: August 08, 2023, 12:10:29 PM
I haven't followed this incident but there have been cases before that it happened too. Offered a bounty to the hacker but then, in a way that I don't know how the authorities managed to get probably a footprint or trace from the logs or whatsoever in technicality, the hacker got caught. It could possibly be an ego thing or whatnot but I agree that it's best to just take the offer and then let it call quits and that's it. No need to prove that he's the best and just stop fooling around with people's money.
1444  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: As a gambler do you have a potential winning amount limit? on: August 07, 2023, 09:03:39 AM
I believe that gambling is for fun. Even though I am mostly into sports betting only these days, I am still having more fun and thrill watching games that I have a bet.
Just like in games that we play all of them are fun but there's an exchange to get into that fun. And with gambling, it's in exchange for our money. We do like to see how everything is going to happen with the bets that we make and that's why, the thrill and fun is there.

I do have my own minimum limits for winning, but not that high. And my betting budget always corresponds to my regular earnings and it is not even based on my overall assets so it won't hurt if I lose.

Don't believe in people posting on social media and making stories about earning regularly on gambling. If someone earns regularly in gambling then it must be on poker.
The same as mine, not that much but as long as it's along with my budgeted amount for gambling then it's all good. I don't mind losing it as long as I have fun and that's not a lot to think of. Some gamblers forget to set winning and losing amount, not that much for both is what gonna give you a good night time sleep.

Hi!

To clarify, I am not a Rep. I simply asked the site if I could make few posts in few different forums to get some exposure.
On top of these posts the lottery promotion I am offering on behalf of myself is just a gesture of good will. So you will have a win element of some sort for just checking out the site.
You can add this to the first post so that everyone will not have to guess whether you're an actual rep or you're on it for an affiliate and you just simply doing it based on what you've said.

No casino will just block and void your wins for no reason, you must have violated T&C which you agree to when making an account in the first place.
The sad thing is that there are, and that's why there are people out thinking that it could happen to them if ever they'll try it. I remember you guys and hopefully, the real rep from this website comes back.
1446  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or banking investment? on: August 06, 2023, 06:16:42 PM
Bitcoin.
I am not sure if someday these news will happen to the local banks that I can choose to keep my money.

Lebanese cannot access money in banks since late 2019
Unrest, Protests In China As Banks Stop Customers From Withdrawing Money From Their Accounts

That's why bitcoin works perfectly as both. As an asset and as our own bank for which we can withdraw it anytime we want from our wallets.
1447  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Importance of Gambling to the society on: August 06, 2023, 04:28:38 PM
IIRC, aside from Monaco there are also other countries that have allowed gambling only if it's for tourists and foreigners but they don't allow their citizens to gamble because they know that it will be bad for them. Can't deny the fact that a country that's benefiting from taxation through the gambling industry is really a lot and it helps to finance a lot of projects, infrastructures, and other help to their citizens. I think many will have a big argument on this one because they'll defend that it's still gambling at the end of the day. There will always be losers and winners.
1448  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BlackRock owns 8% of MicroStrategy on: August 06, 2023, 03:05:54 PM
This isn't new in these markets, one company buys more shares from the other one and vice versa.

In other words, the purchase will not affect how the company is managed.
Right, and it's also possible that even if BlackRock gets more share than Saylor, they can just let him handle it if they think he's doing the right thing.

Without being a saint of my devotion BlackRock, it is simply what it does, invest a lot by diversifying, and Saylor also has its dark parts but I prefer him in charge of the company that owns more bitcoins than BlackRock.
It's still quite fearsome because we all know that they won't just keep on buying Bitcoin. A time will come that they'll have to sell, dump and get profit from it but we don't know when.

Coming soon
While we're waiting for it, much better if you have made some interesting inputs regarding bigspins and why people of the forum should tune in with your launching soon.

You told the forum about your project on the month of February and it is 5 months now,you have still finished your project.
Best of luck.
Not finished yet. It seems a long preparation and that's not going to be anything interesting anymore in my sight if the development have been that long and during that time he was looking for investors.
1450  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Deciding Between Mining and Direct Investment on: August 05, 2023, 10:34:40 AM
If you can do both and if your budget isn't limited, choose to do both. But for people like me that has budget constraints, I'll just choose to buy and hold. Considering the electricity cost and consumption, you're aware of how much you'll be taking and how much will be the operational cost upon doing it. I think for miners, it's not just all about the profit but of course, it has the biggest portion and reason on why they do that. So, you help the network more secure through your miners and that's a contribution that you've got in your mind that you're one of those folks that helps to maintain it.
1451  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 05, 2023, 09:04:10 AM
The Lakers giving Anthony Davis $186,000,000 with a three year extension seems a bit insane given how much time he has missed. He’d better start staying healthy for the amount of money they’re giving him. 62 million dollars when he only plays about 50 games in a good year seems like like overpaying. I sure hope that contract doesn’t come back to bite them.
It's like they're having him the typical Lakers player so that they've got an identity through him. But with the hype that other players getting with huge contracts, I guess that the management has just happened to offer him somewhat on this bracket so that he won't move to another team and won't entertain any other deal that's surrounding him. In crucial times especially when they're approaching the playoffs despite having an injury, when he enters the court, he performs well which he should really be doing.
1452  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase CEO Says SEC Told It To Delist Everything But Bitcoin: Report on: August 05, 2023, 07:38:33 AM
The SEC is just the tool.... there are higher powers behind them, controlling them like a puppet.  Roll Eyes
This means that the people that are behind them are the ones that are more heavily invested in Bitcoin. I think I like that because a smallholder like me is hoping to see them ride that wave that they're creating. And we're noticing on how they're moving like crazy when they're chasing an exchange, a project, and deciding whether it's a security or not. But in summing up this statement they've said, everyone is gonna agree that it's best to just have Bitcoin on them but Coinbase as a business, they will not let it slip the opportunity of making a profit from other coins/tokens by just listing it.
Yeah, no joke, of course! You're arguing that the big whales, er, Bitcoin developers, are the ones with the biggest stakes? I've got it now. And you're looking for a good wave to surf on, like? That is the attitude!

They certainly move quickly, dont they? Its such a roller-coaster chasing an exchange, a project, and wondering if its a security or not. The real sting, though, is that while its nice to have Bitcoin, Coinbase is a company, right? Man, they want profits. By listing additional coins, they wont forfeit the possibility to make money from those coins. I think they did well.

So, to sum up, Coinbase is opportunistic, Bitcoin is excellent, and smallholders like us are just trying to ride the wave, right?
That seems to be it. We're all riding what's currently with the waves now but as soon as we've figured out that Bitcoin is the future and it will definitely shine, we want to hold on to it. While with these companies, puppets, people, and behind them. We don't care about them, we only care with what they do and what's going to be the actions they make to the market because that's where we're going to capitalize and decide our actions based on what they do.

For Dota 2 people here, we're seeing left and right roster changes from different regions. There's this sad moment in the Chinese region but it's just all about the retirement[1] of a known player there, Paparazi. This is an era for those players, bettors and fans.

1455  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My new favorite betting method. on: August 04, 2023, 05:09:17 PM
It really is a martingale. But this is gambling, whichever method is working for you and is effective then keep on playing with that. Maybe this time it works but who knows what will happen next if it will still. I'm interested to know on how many satoshis you'll be able to reach with this method and how huge/low your losses will be and the same goes for the potential profit that you'll do. Well, with methods like this. I just prefer to do my own method of just setting an amount for this day, win or lose and if it's all gone I'm done.
1456  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is AI in crypto a game-changer or just another hype? on: August 04, 2023, 03:20:36 PM
Honestly, AI isn't just there for the first time since the bull run or by just last year or this year just because chatgpt became popular. It's been there for years and the adoption that it's getting was quick because of how the mass media helped its way. But going back and relating to the market, that means that bots (ai) have been there for a long time. And if someone wants to get passive income through trading, that's not gonna happen through ai, as a trader you still need to manually check and do the trade for yourself.
This is the part people should realize, AI has been developed for many years now, technically speaking we could say that it has been developed for decades as well, we have never been this close and there was a breakthrough and that is why it's more popular right now. It wasn't this public before, but it got more and more public.

If anyone remembers, there were AI chatbots back in the day, you would make it say things and it would develop based on what it learns, but people didn't let it learn real things and made it like nazi or something as a "fun" thing, to mock it basically. This time it's a bit more closed down publicly from central companies to develop it, but public to use it and that way it does pretty decently and I bet it will get even better.
Right, it's been there for more than a decade. Chatbots are literally AI and people aren't just looking at it as one because of the branding success of what chatgpt and other companies that have an AI project and product.

Honestly, AI isn't just there for the first time since the bull run or by just last year or this year just because chatgpt became popular. It's been there for years and the adoption that it's getting was quick because of how the mass media helped its way. ChatGPT is without a doubt the best chatbot that has existed, however an AI dedicated exclusively to trade the markets has been on the making for a very long time, however we do not hear about it as trading and investing firms keep their research under strict secret as they know that any advantage they may gain can be the difference between making a fortune or not.

It is because of this so many talented people work at those firms, as they need all kind of people developing mathematical models and improving their AI to keep themselves competitive against other financial firms.
Yup, those bots that we've used for trading. They've been there long time ago and it's not just one but many of them. Only a few became recognized and maybe somehow that only a few traders gets to have the advantage of using those.

Ceb wants to play and that's why Taiga is out. Too bad that Old G won't be having Ceb on this qualifier while technically, it's still OG. I wonder if Topson is going to be playing for some teams on this one together with ana again. Another news is that Xepher and 343 will be with Blacklist International as their head and assistant coach. BLR is investing a lot in these qualifiers.
Even with Ceb in the lineup, the Taiga change felt unnecessary because the other two support players (Chu and Misha) already moved to the coaching position.

After the Old G squad somewhat fell apart with Ceb moving to OG and Noone out of the roster, I could see that announcement happening together with Jerax, as they still need a fourth position.
Honestly, I'd love to see some reunion of Jerax, Topson and ana. I still see ana playing good pub and the same goes with topson. I just don't know with jerax or he's all good and set being a coach just like what he did with EG before and also for Team Liquid. Too many good players are free this season and I am sure that we'll see some good combination of them, it just didn't worked with Old G but I think they'll still participate.

It's good that BLR finally got a decent coach, and we'll see if it makes a difference in the qualifiers.
People thought that it's gonna be henrydota but who's that? I'd get those that have pro experience and not just one but two.
1458  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Buying food with BTC on: August 03, 2023, 04:18:01 PM
Do you know of any restaurants and/or supermarkets in the US and abroad that sells food for BTC? It would be nice to avoid Fiat altogether and use BTC to buy our life necessities.
Not from there but will share my experience a bit. As much as I want to forcefully use some of my btc into buying things, I've only seen a few merchants and they're not that big business but only stalls in some malls. So, if you can't find anything just like mine then browse over online shops or restaurants that does delivery and maybe from there you'll find a shop that accepts BTC.

The only place I could think of is El Salvador with its acceptance of Bitcoin as legal tender. It's likely every merchant and business there accepts BTC as payment method. I don't know about the US and developed countries. Could someone enlighten me? Thanks in advance. Smiley
That's true and despite I am not from there, I've seen a couple of videos where you can even pay Mcdonalds with bitcoin.
1459  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: August 03, 2023, 01:16:57 PM
As the TI qualifiers are about to happen soon, left and right roster changes and goodbyes have already been said and announced by the teams.

After the Riyadh Masters, we're starting to see a couple of teams make changes to their roster and the hottest one is probably Taiga being benched. I surely thought if they were going to make a change before the qualifiers, it'd be DM instead of Taiga.

1460  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is AI in crypto a game-changer or just another hype? on: August 03, 2023, 11:26:36 AM
Game changer? I used to hear that a lot as a description but no way, these AI projects are not game changers. We're in a market that keeps on changing a lot every time a season dries off. And if something new comes out again, they'll say that it's another game changer and the cycle goes on until you'll get used to that term which will be used by more projects in the future. I am not even sure if there's going to be an end for these cycles because they just keep on coming and reinvents something new.

Bro game changer can be because trading is not for everyone but Investment opportunities are widely available for everyone in the context if AI really gets proper implementation as always being on the same point what I had previously it really needs time, it can really change the game for those who want the passive income from the trading because AI will make way faster and effective technical analysis for the reading patterns will the piece of cake and etc luxuries the new ones can enjoy.

But the point is with the consequences when everyone will use Ai and bots they influence market emotion will get reep out which is one of the major consequences leading to a nonvolatile and sideways-moving market because there are bots and AI with the same behavior driving the market. So AI is good and ad in our ways but for now we don't need to are about it. On-time can discuss it in a more precise way.
Honestly, AI isn't just there for the first time since the bull run or by just last year or this year just because chatgpt became popular.
