How late will Android be able to join the party? Won't half the world be pissed off (particularly Asia) that they don't have the right phone to participate in the early crucial time? You should have Android up and running before you start any airdrops I think.

The real problem is nearly every major coin has started to talk about having a chat app in their roadmap. In a years time everyone will have one. So basically even if one of them did get popular then the wider population will look around see all these other similar apps and think WTF!!!
ie What we see everyday here when another coin is released. The only thing going mainstream is the death of Crypto in the minds of the mainstream. Maybe Bitcoin makes it, but it wont help when the masses see there are others.

The lack of interest for Qora is really odd. It has tons of great features, technologically far superior to most of the altcoins but only very few ppl looks interested. Probably the marketing isn't good enough.
tons of great features --> tell me some please technologically far superior to most of the altcoins --> explain why? please devote some time to read the main thread. There are so many features that the answer is gonna be huge. You can see many of the advantages just by opening the client.. It is always the same, the Qora guys tell everybody how awesome it is, but nobody can tell me why. And I know the main thread, there are no killer features. And I tested the client, it is alright, but not better than many others out there. So answer me the questions and I will buy some Qora insta, but till now nobody canīt answer them. Go to the main thread and politely ask what is the advantages of Qora over other coins, go on I dare you cause there is where you will get your answers not here. |

It might take off when the wallet gets made pretty. It's the first impression you get of any coin. Superficial but true. I also think Open Source will pull tons of developers in including some from the NXT community who know deep down its an incredible code that has all the potential in the world. |

Yes. Qora still brings 10x ROI to initial stakeholders. When ROI will be 1.5-2 then community will grow.
My friend almost no coins can be bought for a ROI of 1.5-2 unless you get in on an IPO early. Almost any decent POW coins go 5-10 ROI in the first few hours of mining. LOL Qora isn't a short term investment simply to make some quick cash, its a proper working system in the middle of development that has the potential to be the de facto decentralised system for people to use to store and trade their digital wealth. If you want a pump I suggest another coin. |

With the fake emails and someone trying to brute force with TOR there are clearly some people who are putting some effort in to steal NEM. The sooner we get our wallets and coins the better IMO.

How much are the big stake holders to give up of their huge piles of coins to re-vamp Qora, or in different English trying to get new users onboard ?

Because the way Qora is going when it comes to price and user adoptions is slowly down hill...
And with this in mind what is the value of your huge piles of coins ?
It's not about money. What can people throw their money at? Another Twitter campaign?  We already give a lot of coins away, all these things are pointless I think. It might of been better not to advertise Qora at all until we were done. All we achieved was telling people about a half finished closed source project. The truth is good or bad this coins development is unique, one developer working alone and doesn't focus on PR at all (yet). It does look like a negative at the moment but soon Qora will go open source and if the coding is unique and interests developers then many might come onboard. Until we are OS and have a proper wallet GUI we can't decide if this coin is a success or not. I think we will know in about two months, if we aren't at 100 sats at least by Christmas then I would accept this coin has a serious problem. |

Ok here are my problems with this ICO.
The premise is with Bitcoin backing the app then it therefore will be popular. But here are tons of apps that market themselves as anonymous or decentralised and have just as much chance as this one of getting popular. But the reality is 99% of these social media apps fail, you can buy clone codes of social media sites for a $50 dollars, your asking for lightning to strike twice like FB and a few others. I have friends who use FB, Snapchat, Whatstheapp and Instagram they simply wouldn't touch another social app. Bitcoin has a very specialised market anyway, its not got mainstream appeal, the media crushed that idea in he minds of the average person, and your asking them to accept another currency?
So the Gems thing is a nice idea but I can't imagine outside of crypto anyone would choose a chat app based on earning some gem that looks in all intent and purpose like a crystal they might collect on many android and OS games these days. I just don't think its fair to suggest making the next Snap Chat etc is just about throwing great stuff together. And that the problem is if this app gets used by a few hundred thousand people then its basically dead. This kind of thing HAS to reach millions to work and that is if your honest a 1 in 100 or 1000 chance.
Plus I see your app has no photo sharing? No Video sharing? That already puts you behind the herd trying to enter this market. I want this to work but it gonna be a lot of hope followed but a lot of reality when the numbers don't come in. Sorry that's how I feel. if you could tone the language down about FB and Whatsthe app I could at least take this seriously as a more small scale project.

There is nothing to stop you starting a new vote. I don't know if Qora will follow the result but voting is how we decided to stay closed source so it makes sense if you want it open then you need to at least win a vote on it. personally I'll wait and see what Qora wants to do. |

Its hyped on a false premise that you can just create another Whatstheapp, Snapchat, FB which anyone with a brain and the time to search for chat apps in the apple and play store will tell you many try....very....very few succeed. If it was easy to make a billion dollar app don't you think everyone would be making one...silly. Thats why other already successful companies buy them once the one in thousand actually make it. Well you got the first two words right (Its Hyped)..I know I hyped and I am still Hyped about it Can you imagine What Whatsapp would of been worth IF it had all the featured we have!..Yes i can say WE because i am a proud owner of lots of Nxtty and am very excited about our future And to the poster asking about the price At the current price of 0.0043 USD it is up from My first Buy of 0.0009 approx 320% in a little over ONE MONTH!!.. And IMO i don't even think we have left the Barn yet..this tractor has a lot of ground to plow yet Our current mkt cap is under a million for cripes sake! Upon release and depending how FAST the first 100,000 downloads happen,This could get really violent really fast, and that will be before most of the people that downloaded it figure out they have a wallet with money in it to spend, and are now Part Owners of it!..then again it could all go to hell in a hand basket.. And yes you are right about all the apps that fail..But name me ONE other that has all the features that we have?.. I've come across references that it could be as many as four mobile apps which will be coming out this winter (which lasts until March). Nxtty just happens to be the most publicized at the moment.
Otherwise CryptoClub was correct about what he said about Whatsapp. Too many people hyping Nxtty like Whatsapp is the only mobile app in existence and it's guaranteed to be worth $1 billion or more. All you have to do is type Whatsapp alternates and you get several dozen apps backed by sizable companies and they don't have Whatsapp's valuation and most are far under $1 billion.
If crypto currencies someday are going to hit $1-$7 trillion then I think keeping funds in NXT is better than putting it into Nxtty but that's me. NXT itself could skyrocket but would these Nxtty coins necessarily hold its' value?
Not discouraging anyone from buying a pinch but if you're dumping a fortune then you should be acquiring equity of the Nxtty corporation, not the Nxtty coins.
Give it up with NXT already, I was there almost from the beginning. NXT has stabilized and it's not really going anywhere else, it opened the gate for 2nd gen crypto but that's it. There's better tech being developed out there now and without such horrible unbalanced distribution like NXT. You FUD every other crypto as if NXT is the solution. I used to run a bunch of nodes and hold NXT. I realized at some point that NXT wasn't the solution, just a stepping stone for 2nd gen cryptos to show up in the scene. NXT opened the door and Qora walked through it like a champ!  |
