1621  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: August 28, 2022, 01:16:21 PM
It could have a rematch (even if there is no written clause in the initial contract), if the fight is going to be razor sharp close or maybe even in a draw.

But if it's a convincing win, then maybe not, but if there is a huge money involved then again, they could go and fight one more before going up in weight. So I guess the fans will also have a final say and maybe the promoters are going to take that lead from us if they see a demand for it.

We never know, because that always depends on the winner if he will give a rematch, that's why to ensure a rematch will happen, it should be written in the contract. One example is the fight between Mayweather and Pacman, for some, they think it was a close fight, and both could make huge money again if Mayweather gave a rematch, but he choose not to fight again just to ensure he will keep his undefeated record.

Just curious. Maybe handlers are now doing that deal in regard to rematch, after realizing what happened with

Mayweather and Pacquiao both are hot and very sensation during those prime years, but the camp of Mayweather did not
give Pacquiao a chance to have another fight.

With the type of Crawford and Spence where there are many sponsors and advertisement the camp may include these rematch
from the contract that they will going to sign.

That would benefit the promoters more but it's necessary since it's a big fight. If a boxer refuses to rematch after a win, he can be sued since it's written in the contract, so he has no choice but to fight, and if he losses, then most likely a trilogy is gonna happen. With that possibility, it's good for the boxing community as we all know both fighters have a huge number of fans.
1622  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Haney vs Kambosos II (Undisputed) on: August 28, 2022, 12:31:23 PM

Btw, I read somewhere that if ever Haney and Lomachenko win their upcoming fight, Arum promised that the match between this two will happen early next year.

If that's true, then that would be a great match compared to this second match-up. Haney should finish Kambosos in a clean way with Unanimous Decision or Knockout so that we will gonna see some real fight next year. Of course, Loma needs to have a clean win as well. Anyway, this upcoming fight against Kambosos is a real pressure for Haney because Kambosos already have some idea of how he moves, and that would make Haney want to try some new skills in order to avoid his opponent counters.

Both Lomachenko and Haney have a fight, and I believe both have respective easy opponents, so there's a big chance that we will be seeing a Loma vs Haney fight. It's definitely a fight that is worth to watched because it's like a 50-50 chance for both sides.
1623  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 28, 2022, 11:15:39 AM
It will still be Lebron, Davis and then WB. The rest of the supporting cast should perform as well and know their roles. It seems that last seson even their role players are out of sync. Howard was not good but just used sparingly by Vogel. For sure we will see a big difference and the system that Ham have in mind might work this time.

I'm not sure if Westbrook will stay, with the rumors around, it looks like Westbrook will be traded soon. One who season was given to him last season, and yet they still cannot even create a good chemistry, so what's the reason for keeping him if they cannot assure that their chemistry will improve.

I know Westbrook is good, but his individual talent is more valuable to him than being a team player, that's my observation.

Westbrook was not effective playing with star players that he doesn't play with for a long time.

He was traded to the Rockets, then traded to the Wizards, then traded to the LA Lakers. It's very obvious that he wasn't doing well that's why he got traded many times.
1624  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: August 28, 2022, 10:39:08 AM

By the way, coach Chot, the game master, is he now back to TNT ? or he will be more focus with Gilas?

Not sure if I missed any info but he might add some good dribble and drive momentum for his favorite Montalbo.. Tongue Roll Eyes

I think he is still out, but his absence is not really a big deal IMO as TNT were able to compete well against SMB in game 3, it's just that their overtime period was very poor and SMB dominated them. Though no Chot Reyes, I think TNT will be alright, they know the game is very important, so a win is a must.

Agree with that, although I must say that TNT has improved under coach Chot, but as what we've seen in game 3, TNT almost win the game if only Castro's last shot went in. They were outcoach in the OT only, but maybe due to the fact that SMB was a bit lucky that time, it's just sad for TNT that they weren't able to capitalize the mistake of SMB as they still end up losing the game.

As expected, TNT had a great start, if they will continue playing this way, they'll for sure tie the series. I'm also surprised that the first quarter was a low-scoring game, I am not sure if which team would favor this kind of pace.
1625  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 27, 2022, 11:41:49 AM
This also mean that he really need to work with his physique since basketball is physical sports and those veterans will surely hit him hard on the hard court. Also maybe from this he can minimize his critical injuries. This is unfortunate for him because he was so hype before season starts and I'm wondering now if he can still deliver good performance next season.

I guess we are expecting too much from him, we know he is hype, but he is just a rookie, he might not even be playing with heavy minutes, so don't expect heavy production from him. All he needs to focus now is to recover from the injury so he will be 100% prepared for the next season.
1626  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Vasiliy Lomachenko vs Jamaine Ortiz - October on: August 27, 2022, 10:00:12 AM
No matter how good as a boxer Loma is, when he faces Haney, Loma will be the underdog. The reason why I think so is that Haney had defeated a guy who defeated Lomachenko.

Nope, Haney did not defeat Lopez who defeated Loma, he only defeated Kambosos who defeated Lopez, so Haney vs Loma would be a different story. I agree that Loma will be the underdog, but I also believe that it's not going to be easy for Haney although I must say that his quickness maybe his advantage.

1628  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help me to be a pro in bitcoin and crypto on: August 26, 2022, 08:54:17 PM
I think it's better you know that you can't become a professional trader easily, also most of the videos you will be watching on YouTube will help you but most of them will only talk about profit, most of them won't talk about losing money, so if you are going into trading you should always have the mindset of profit and lost. Also if you want to learn trading easily you don't just have to watch videos and read pdf, you have to make sure you create account and put everything you read into practice, actually you will lose money but I think that's the best.
You will only become a pro in bitcoin and in crypto market through all the lessons you will gained from your crypto experiences. Regardless if you mostly win or lose, that is not important, the most important is you gain knowledge and skills, and you develop your own strategies because that will help you to be more successful in crypto. For now, I guess the listings of sources mentioned above could expand your knowledge in crypto so focus on studying at first.
1629  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Longterm Price Target on: August 26, 2022, 08:31:21 PM
This calculation of yours has really created a curiosity about the price of Bitcoin in the mind. It is true that one day the price of Bitcoin will skyrocket if the impact of Bitcoin continues. And it will also comes in to the volatilities. However, with the increasing use of Bitcoin, I think these volatilities also will be beyond imagination. However, I believe that no one can guarantee the long-term duration of Bitcoin or what the long-term price will ultimately be.
Bitcoin has always its uncertainties as much as no one can tell precisely as how long it will be beneficial or how expensive its price in the long term. But as long as there are people’s demand that continue to long for bitcoin, then it will always stay in the market, which also means its price will always grow and prosper in every year that comes. And the more bitcoin will be widely used and accepted, the higher value it will also reach.
1630  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the price of BTC ever hit $40k again? on: August 26, 2022, 07:30:01 PM
Many speculations are showing nonstop. Some are saying that cryptos will again reach ATH but to some technical analyses, it will be hard for majority of cryptos to again break ATH. In reality, it is quite close to impossible to predict market behavior, accurately or atleast precisely. There are many factors affectinf market value and each of these factors are changing from time to time which further affect market prices. On my end, I do believe that someday Bitcoin's price will again soar high along with other cryptos.
Despite of the uncertainties happening in the market and those inevitable events that keep hitting and affecting the market, I still chose to be optimistic on the future price of bitcoin. I know $40k will be reached eventually and might even go beyond that, and I think that’s not impossible as bitcoin is the most proven crypto asset that reaches the highest and most expensive price. Maybe not happening this year, but in the next preceding years I guess bitcoin price will come up with a better one.
1631  Economy / Economics / Re: Education on: August 25, 2022, 09:39:31 PM
Education is not the only key to success anymore, then we all be believe that, if we don't go to school, we can't make it, the country is something else, we should find all means to be a successful person in life, education is good, but we have to find all means to make it, country which a graduate is riding bike, someone that spend thousands of naira to go to the school, is now riding bike, imagine,

So is always good to invest in once self, than working under someone, which you won't have time for yourself,

Just an advise

But do you think if you don't have proper education you will be successful? There's a lot of things you can learn on school and one of it is discipline and also on how to properly read also to write if you don't do this basic things for sure many people will exploit you because they think you are uneducated person.

So education is important but still it all vary to the person who do their job to enhance their life since at the end of the day if the educated person is lazy he cannot reach his want to be a successful person.
I would agree that education should still be given the topmost priority because you can’t be given big opportunities in life if you are also not a bachelor degree holder or if you have not gone into formal education. It’s certainly the key to success. However, success do not only come to educated people, as even those uneducated ones can still be successful in their own ways. If they have the skills in doing a certain job or they have their own expertise, they can still be great and would earn a lot of profits.
1632  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teaching Bitcoin To My Friends| You're invited too on: August 25, 2022, 08:58:15 PM
For now, I will teach them about buying, selling, and holding Bitcoin, and I'll use YouTube for video tutorials. Also, maybe I'll buy a book about Bitcoin (if I can find it); if not, I'll have to download a book and print it out.

Actually, you can't be a good teacher if you are not a master of that field. So how about I suggest you postpone the teaching class until you fully understand Bitcoin, how it works, the risks involved and the best way to avoid such risk. Because in as much as Bitcoin is a good investment, don't forget that it is also volatile, of which the price value goes up and down every single seconds. So please never you be the teacher who teaches only the advantage of Bitcoin, but whenever you teach, always try to make people understand both sides, so that when the time comes, they will be able to make the right decision.
So once again. I wish you goodluck

Teaching can still be effective if there is an intervention between the teacher itself and the students, as the teacher also learns from the ideas of his own students. With bitcoin, as long as there are good video tutorials that will help OP to carry out to his friends about the concepts of bitcoin and all its advantages and disadvantages, then I think his friends will still learn and gain new insights from bitcoin. And if they are really determined, they can also continue doing DYOR at home to gain clearer understanding about bitcoin.
1633  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Taking the awareness of crypto and Btt forum to the youths on: August 24, 2022, 09:56:34 PM
I want my friends and well-wishers to know about crypto.
It is a good thing you have in mind, but I must also remind and advice you to be careful and cautious as you introduce cryptocurrency to your friends. Cautious in the sense that as you talk about crypto and have highlighted its potential to affect ones financial situation positively, many of them may be eager to want to skip to the part where you tell them how exactly to gain and may urge you to give them some financial advice, however tempting, you must avoid that urge to give financial advice to them as you talk about crypto, so tomorrow if it doesn't go their way, they wouldn't have you to blame and your relationship will be save.
It’s good to see that more and more people become more knowledgeable and interested in crypto but I just hope that they are not here believing that bitcoin could be a source for quick profits. Because if that’s the case, instead of earning an income and making decent profits from bitcoin, they will experience losses instead because they keep on rushing to make instant profits, which I think is very impossible for bitcoin to reap instant profits.
1634  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do real traders care about bear & bull market? on: August 24, 2022, 09:38:20 PM
I'm not much into Trading, but it looks like real traders always have their mind prepared for the best outcome unlike the market trend. Whether the market is bullish/bearish they try to make an earning out of the market fluctuation. This makes them to stand away from the normal traders. Even here they experience losses, but have got the tactics to overcome the same.
The pros in trading can always find ways to make profits in trading regardless of the market condition. However, I believe they can only start to maximize their profits if the market is good and is definitely stable, particularly when the market is bullish. Just like regular traders, profits will be easily achieved when the market is fine and stable, but it takes pro traders if you aim for maximum profits even where bear season is still around.
1635  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it advisable as a starter to engage in future trade? on: August 23, 2022, 09:57:45 PM
When I login to my trading App (Exchange), I do see an option for future trade and when try to give it a try, I will see a notification reading "Future trade can be very risky".
Is it advisable as a new trader to engage in future trade?
You've gotten enough advice on future trades hopefully this thread won't be made and abandoned. At least you should read and comment if anything is confusing or you don't think it's clear.
It's natural when the exchange warns that futures trades are risky especially for new traders who have very little knowledge of futures trades, don't try if you are still very knowledgeable it's better to try spot trades while continuing to learn a lot in trading.
Always start with the basic first. Just buy low and sell high because that will also bring good profits. Don’t rush into future trades because aside that it’s risky, it will not also going to work if you are not a pro in it. So take your time learning all the necessary knowledge and strategies and in due time, future trading will come easy for you.
1636  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Touching the life of random poor kids with all my 3wks campaign BTC on: August 23, 2022, 09:34:18 PM
Well done to the OP!
It was very generous of him to use his signature campaign wage to help less fortunate people.

There has been a few others on the forum who have done similar to help others, there was one
member who was buying Pizza for homeless people I think in the U.S.

This move by the OP has definitely sewn the Bitcoin seed with these young people, they surely
wont forget.
I guess OP is also living a good life and what he earned from signature campaign are just extra money, so     it would be easy for him to use his salary for the benefit of these poor kids. And for that, his action made him more close to the heart of the poor people which I think is a very good attribute. I can’t imagine how happy these poor kids are, and someday they will also do the same favor with you OP as their inspiration.
1637  Economy / Economics / Re: Entrepreneurship and women on: August 22, 2022, 09:50:49 PM
As a result of the difficult economic times, do you consider that there will be more women entrepreneurs competing with men in this field which it so looks like they currently dominate?
Honestly in todays time, we can say that the equality has been there and the problem about the subject of women vs men has started to be off and not sensitive topic anymore.

It's because whatever men does, women tend to do it and that's just equal. But I think, that it's not all about competition but many women won't be a housewife material anymore.

They can do whatever we do and being an entrepreneur, they can do that as well and those that are struggling will do whatever it takes for them to survive.

So, if we see more women shifting into being entrepreneurs, it doesn't really matter IMO.
Women are now seen excelling in entrepreneurship because they have also the capabilities and skills that they worked and developed overtime. So its not only for the men, but women of today seem very competitive too as they can successfully do whatever men wish to do. The equality is now more seen and proven, and for me there's no wrong with it because the women also deserve appreciation and recognition in the end.
1638  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Vasiliy Lomachenko vs Jamaine Ortiz - October on: August 21, 2022, 11:07:00 AM
On the other hand, Loma will be tested here because he hasn't fought for a while. But we have seen him destroying good fighters like Commey and Nakatani in his comeback fight after a shoulder injury and a lost to Kambosos. Now this could be his second coming. But I still think that Loma is still very much in his prime and maybe we will see another great performance.

I think you mean a lost to Lopez mate, Lopez then lost to Kambosos in his mandatory fight.

With a win by Usyk tonight, Ukraine's people must be in the high spirit now and come October it would be Lomachenko's turn to make his people proud. I don't see a Loma loss here because for me this is just a "keep busy" fight for him before fighting for the title next year, a rematch with Lopez might be a good one but i don't think Loma would go up in weight and chase Lopez so a fight with Haney is the way to go.

Yes, similar to what Manny Pacquiao and Nonito Donaire brings when they won, everybody is on a stand still, no crime in the street hehehe.

For those who are interested, here is the video of him arriving in the US. That time there were already news that he will make his comeback but at that time we don't know who is his opponent's name.

You can see in his eyes what the war has brought in him and his native country.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9xyf9zPxI4o

Good for Loma because he is fighting for his country, after everything he has been through, he will be more inspired now to win the fight and to offer every fight for his countrymen, he is also a Hero but using his boxing skills to achieve success. As he is already back, hopefully he can continue his career and will continue to bring championships to his country.
1639  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 21, 2022, 10:28:03 AM
It's hard to argue against.  Stephen Curry is the greatest shooter the NBA has ever seen.  He changes the game and requires the defense to pay special attention to him at all times.  This makes his teammates much better than they otherwise would be if the defense didn't have to focus on Step.  Offensively, Steph is hands down the best player in the NBA.

However, he is also a pretty big liability on defense.  You could make the case that his defense cost them the title in 2016 and that other teams target him.  So it's tough to say he's the best player in the world.  I'd rather call him the best shooter of all time.
Being the best player would really require balance stats for defense and offense. No doubt that Steph really has changed the shooting since he stepped up.

AFAIK, he's the one that I've seen that's really good in those threes and he has mastered it with his entire career. I guess on players like him, he don't have choice but only to master offense and let his teammates do the rest for defense.

I agree about him as the best shooter.

Yes, best shooter there is no debate about that, he really revolutionize the game with his shooting, going further and further away and even at the logo or 50 feet and beyond. For the defense argument, I somewhat agree but then again, we will go back to the eras. I'm not saying that this era or at least the last decade of the NBA didn't focus on defense. But with coaches like Phil Jackson,  Jerry Sloane retiring, and then we have coaches like Mike D'Antoni employing a run and gun, you need to score in less than 10 seconds or less, and playing without true center, the game has chance a lot that maybe the argument for Curry was the best player right now holds true as per Shaq.

Curry has proven himself, not only he is a best shooter but he also won multiple championships. The last achievement was a big statement that says he could carry his team, though they have the big 3 but it was Curry who is the most important of the 3, and he can really stepped up in crucial games.

Both Thompson and Green have some games where they struggle, but Curry is always their to pick them up and win.
1640  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Fernando Martinez vs Jerwin Ancajas rematch - Oct.8 on: August 21, 2022, 05:15:40 AM

Well, from the point of view of betting, it's something else, but I think that this time Martinez really wants to stand out and from what I've read the boxer has very good technique, at a professional level I'm sure he won't do badly, so I have seen, some give Ancajas the winner, but in my personal opinion Martinez is a clear winner for me, obviously without going through Ancajas's abilities, Martinez is a boxer who for now will be measured with a higher degree of demand, here he can discovering that there is a business model that is impressive, and the statistics are supporting it, I wonder if it goes 3:1 how it will be in less time, will the ratio increase?

On the first fight it was obvious that Martinez was the clear winner, it was not a controversial fight as even the fans of Ancajas believe that Martinez won. Well, we are now in the rematch, I'm just hoping that Ancajas will make the right adjustment so it will not again result in a one sided fight.
