1721  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Kazuto Ioka vs Donnie Nietes II on: July 16, 2022, 12:59:32 PM

Aside from that, Ioka also made some more experience after the 1st encounter they had which gave more advantage to Ioka and this time, Ioka is more confident and much smarter just like what we saw recently. If we look on Nietes and Ioka's recent record, the latter did more fights and all those fights has ended on his favor unlike Nietes who only managed to win 1 fight and 1 draw.

He lost on their first encounter so he made an adjustment, if only Nietes was younger, he could have won the fight. But as we all saw, it was pretty evident that he slowed down, he also lose a bit of power from his punchers that's why IoKa continues to get aggressive.

He won via split decision, and Nietes took the belt on that win.
https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/215599

Well, Ioka made his revenge and beat Nietes through a dominant performance, it was a clear win by Ioka and that will probably send Nietes to retirement.

So, what are the rumors about these two fighters?
Next fight for Ioka?
1722  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 16, 2022, 12:29:33 PM
Agreed, Lebron encouraged the management to acquire those old superstars in exchange for there young talent and veteran support. He was over confident that he can carry the team even with these broken superstar players.
He's always confident that he can carry the team, he has had that mentality ever since and that's why he's manifesting that mindset into actions and we all saw that.

He thought he really is a great player, his power to demand got bigger when the Lakers won a championship, but actually it was Davis who work hard for that game, without Davis, Lebron would not win a championship. The thing is, the Lakers management sees Lebron as the captain of the ship, so they just give him the freedom to make a decision and that even includes affecting the management decision on who to hire and who to fire.
1723  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How long do you think the market will take to recover? on: July 15, 2022, 09:28:17 PM
Cryptocurrency is currently collapsing. And the total crypto market cap is now less than $1 trillion.

The market is red, and every cryptocurrency is crashing. Is it better to wait for a further drop in Bitcoin and Ethereum, or would DCA be better?

What will happen next?

How long do you think the market will take to recover?
The recovery of the market is far fetched for now. Bitcoin price still dwelling around $20k-$21k and if it stays that way, the bearish market will eventually continue. However, this is not a time to stay remained at your position and do nothing. While the crypto prices continue to crash, then it’s better to start doing DCA right now. The fact that we can’t predict the bottom of this season, then it’s best to always take advantage on the current low prices and buy more bitcoin and ethereum that will be our biggest assets in our portfolio.
1724  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you regret buying before the dip on: July 15, 2022, 08:58:51 PM
The value of bitcoin dropped unexpectedly this year from $30,215 to $20,385 within a few days from June 9th to June 17th according to coinmarketcap,

A quick question for anyone here who purchased bitcoins say on June 9th just before the unexpected dip began? Do you regret your decisions and are you confident that bitcoins will bounce back?
None if us gets to know if that is already the dip or not, so whether we regret it or not, I think we can’t do anything about it. What makes us profitable is that if we could start making a purchase when the price is very cheap, then that creates more advantage on us. After all, we don’t hold anything in crypto as it’s always mysterious as it is, but if we could make the best entry and buy the right coins at its cheapest prices possible, then that will bring huge profits for us in the future.
1725  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Strong Hands Are Buying on: July 15, 2022, 08:12:29 PM
Well, that's not surprising. Good deals are made by buying cheap, and now is a time when Bitcoin is cheap. We can't know i the next few months it could go lower, I wouldn't rule it out, but we are definitely in a clear buy zone if you plan to hold bitcoin for the long term. Uninformed retail investors usually do the opposite: they bought above $60-69k and sold recently.
If you have strong faith in bitcoin that everything will be back to normal, then you will understand that right now is the best opportunity to invest, and only strong hands can attest to that. While most of the retail investors and newbies fear this season, those smart minds and strong hands will always see deep within what’s in the bear season to grab the chance. Knowing everything is unpredictable with bitcoin and this crypto market, then it’s best to grab the chance and maximize our investments while bitcoin is very affordable and is highly discounted.
1726  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: In the next couple of years you will regret not taking bitcoin ✈️ flight on: July 14, 2022, 08:43:11 PM
Perhaps it depend on the mindset of the investors, there could be just short term, so they put their money on meme and shit coins and hope that they will get rich quick. Some might succeed, if their timing is right. But obviously, we all know that bitcoin right now is very cheap and it's a good investment as hedge to your wealth. Specially on what is going on around, recession, war, inflation etc etc. But just remember though that there is risk and this might throw some people off in bitcoin.
However, there are also people who invest in them both, because they know that meme coins are good for short term profits while bitcoin destined for long term. But of course, investing in meme coins needs a lot of caution. That way, there will be no future regrets as you have not missed any chances or opportunities. But if you want to focus more on bitcoin, for me that creates a more profitable mindset, as bitcoin will always be the best crypto asset and buying right now makes the perfect timing to earn more bitcoin.
1727  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would you guys invest meme coins now? on: July 14, 2022, 07:47:45 PM
So right now the market is unpredictable. Even in this condition as we all can see most YouTubers and even Kucoin, and Binance exchanges promote meme coins. What would you guys do about this meme coins project? are you guys ok to invest in these coins or rather not invest this time? because most famous coins like shib, and doge are now in the dip as we can see.
If we have seen how Shiba Inu and Dogecoin rose and fail, that's how most likely the fate of new meme coins these days. Though its never wrong to invest in them, since they also give investment opportunities, but if you are aiming for long term profiting, meme coins will never give you that. They only grow their value when they are hyped, more than that they are nothing but only useless tokens. However, its your money, so its your end choice that counts.
1728  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are we going to recover or continue to dump? on: July 13, 2022, 09:58:00 PM
What are your current opinions on the cryptocurrency market?
The market has never recovered, so most likely we will witness more price dumps in the next days to come. Bitcoin I though will be stable already in $20k-$21k but then it went down and the rest of altcoins have also declined. While it’s not healthy anymore to see a market like this, but for the whales and all the wise investors waiting around, what we have at the moment are still the best opportunities to invest.
1729  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Most of us have lived a world of USD dominance, but history changes on: July 13, 2022, 09:31:40 PM
Before the USD was accepted as the world currency, there used to be the British Pound as the main currency.

And before that, the Spanish Real.

Those are the latest 3 world currencies. We're about to enter the fourth one, Bitcoin.

It will take some time, but it will happen.
Even if we say that bitcoin has become a mainstream, but seeing it as the next global currency after USD, i think its quite impossible these days. USA will certainly fight for their own official currency, and would even mean to start a battle for the sake of it. And majority of the countries' government have not yet accepted bitcoin, so its hard to say if bitcoin could replace USD in the future. Although there are chances, but the process will definitely be stiff and hard.
1730  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: How I Almost Gave Scammers Access To My wallet This Morning. on: July 12, 2022, 09:56:42 PM
Incidents like this happen often, I've experienced it too. They are scammers who create fake telegram groups that are the same as the original group or they even copy the developer username to make it the same. Then make some announcements about the airdrop and some of the winners in it. Which in the end is a trap.
Need to be very alert to do any work, airdrop or whatever, be careful and alert even though it's an official account. Never give access to your wallet keys.
Scammers will never run out of new strategies that will make every victim fall on their trap. And if you are greedy enough to take advantage on the opportunities they offer you, you will most likely to get scammed. So its always good to take caution all the time, no matter how legit the announcement looks like, always take time to check its validity. We are responsible for our own accounts, so we need to take full responsibility on making them safe from all sorts of scamming.
1731  Economy / Economics / Re: Should we embrace a cashless policy?? on: July 12, 2022, 09:11:16 PM
The problem with going cashless is that not many people will be able to embrace it. in the advanced countries this may not be such a big deal as nearly everyone is already familiar with all sort of technology and buying online in a cashless manner. in the developing countries with high number of uneducated people, this can be a very big issue, it will require teaching almost everyone on how to operate an internet enabled device and own one as well.
Going completely cashless will pose a lot of challenges to many people which i doubt the governments are ready to subject its citizens to. So this is not advisable best thing for now is operate in both ways
I think there is no real problem embracing a cashless policy as it brings more convenience and fast, and efficient transactions. But the only problem is, the government is not ready for it. The majority still prefer the traditional payment system, particularly for those old and uneducated people as they find it hard to cope up with the changes. I think the best thing to do is to offer both cashless and traditional payment system, and its up to the people what to choose for their own convenience.
1732  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bear markets are for building on: July 11, 2022, 09:48:52 PM
I think the bear market should be for building, but it usually isn't in real life. Investors often turn their backs on Bitcoin when it falls, media write articles on how Bitcoin will never recover or how much lower it will go from there, and most adoption news happen, I think, during the bull market. So the bear market is a time when some build up their hodlings, but when new players, IMO, rarely join the game because they're not sure the game isn't over. It feels like there's less FUD during this bear market than there was during the 2018 one, but maybe it's just my personal perception of things.
Bear market is always the process of building but for only those who have strong faith in bitcoin or in crypto. While others continue to build their wealth by accumulating more coins, some have decided to leave the market to avoid future losses. This is the reality of crypto or even in some types of market, people cannot sustain seeing their investments falling in value, the reason that they chose to leave the market and invest somewhere else. When the real fact is, bear market is the best entry in the crypto market because it’s where you can buy a lot of potential coins with their cheap prices, and maximizing your purchase could lead to massive profits when the bull market comes.

1734  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: July 10, 2022, 02:17:30 PM
I guess majority of us here lost our bet on Magsayo. When I saw how the round is going in the first 4, I said to myself that this is a difficult fight for Mark and he will have to knock out Vargas in order to win. He won't win on the judges score card for sure.

There is no cheating, it was a fair score by the judges,  Magsayo was just short of his effort but it is what it is. He has to accept and move forward. If there will be a rematch good, if not then Magsayo needs to double up and work very hard again.

That jab and reach advantage really did the damage for Vargas and Magsayo was having a hard time closing the gap so i agree with you mate, that was indeed a fair score, if only Magsayo has enough gas, he could have finished Vargas right there but he did not go all out, maybe he save some gas for the next rounds.

Nevertheless, it was a good fight and that was what I'm expecting, a close fight and just hoping that Magsayo could get the win but he fell short so better luck next time.

There should be a rematch on this fight, I hope Vargas would be okay with that as fans would still want to see the fight. It was a tough loss by Magsayo, he work hard to be a champion, and on his first defense, it's all gone. He tried his best, but I think there's still plenty of lacking that could make him a great fighter.

He is only 26 years old, there's plenty of battle to be fought for him.
1735  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 10, 2022, 01:13:41 PM
Although I'm disappointed with the news that Manny Pacquiao will come out of retirement by participating in an exhibition match, that's his life.
As a fan of Manny, just it's pretty disappointing to see him on the bandwagon on what Floyd has started for retired boxers. But we have to understand where Manny is coming from.
Well, I agree with both of you that it's really disappointing that someone who has said that he's retired for good, can't stand up to his words. But  I guess this is really all about the pay that he can get.

If there's a big offer to him and he can't decline, he'll take it.

He has spent that much money and he has to make money again and this usually is the mindset of the rich people including him, that when they have spent that much, they have to recover it in some ways that they can while they can.

Manny spent a lot of money when he runs for the presidency, it's time to get earn big money again, and I think he deserves to enjoy the exhibition fights since he is a legend, and for sure many fighters will like to fight with him and earn millions of dollars. Mayweather vs Pacman 2 in an exhibition fight, I think that's a good one, but hopefully the split would be even.
1736  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 10, 2022, 12:25:35 PM
Having a franchise star like KD is one of the best thing to happen in each team inside the league,

I don’t know about that. He quit on Oklahoma City. He wasn’t happy in Golden State. He destroyed a budding Nets franchise. I don’t think any of his former teammates consider him a friend. He’s one of the best basketball players still, sure. I think a lot of regrets come from previous teams. Certainly someone like Tim Duncan or Steph Curry’s loyalty is what owners are hoping they get when they shell out big bucks for stars.
Damn true. I was eyeing for the 2018-2019 Brooklyn Nets before Kyrie, KD, and Harden happened. The roster before was composed of Dinwiddie, Allen, Harris, LeVert, and Russell. A team with young competitive stars. If there will be a trade, I'd just kick Russell for 1 star and a veteran to deal with experience.
Kevin Durant could fill both that spot but they decided to pursue not just two but three stars and all the young roleplayer scattered at different teams.
Luckily, that did them good. Dinwiddie is now a good wingman for Doncic proven during the playoffs to WCF and Allen with a 5-year 100 million deal with the Cavs.
That's correct, they gave up a lot of players just to accommodate the big 3, and it turns out not all of them were healthy in the season they played together. Net's cannot change what happened, they made a mistake for being too ambitious, they want to instantly turn their team into a championship team, and now they are paying for the consequences.
1737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: July 10, 2022, 11:53:45 AM
Have you seen the SMB vs Blackwater game?

That game was really entertaining and Blackwater really prove that they are a championship team.
SMB needed an OT to beat the Blackwater because of Fajardo's 2 missed FT when only 3 seconds left in the game.
Overall, it's a good game by Blackwater, they are a threat I believe.
1738  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 09, 2022, 01:11:12 PM

And he has been criticized as well by many basketball analyst, leaving Nets and then the Warriors winning the championship? That could really hurt Durant inside that's why he wanted to leave and find a new team to win again. But time is running out, it will be hard to find a championship caliber team in exchange of him.

Actually Durant should not be surprise that the Warriors won a championship because the Warriors are already a championship team before he joined the team. He only made the Warriors better but they are still good even without him, as Draymond said, "we don't need you", he was right.

https://nba.nbcsports.com/2018/11/16/draymond-green-reportedly-told-kevin-durant-we-dont-need-you-we-won-without-you-leave/

This is the reason why Durant join the Warriors because he know that this is already a championship caliber team and he will get more higher chances to get a ring with them compare if he stays in OKC. Now its proven that he cannot lift up his team when he's on Brooklyn and this one indicate that they don't need Durant to win another championship.

Durant had a good season with OKC, if they only continue to build their team, they might become a championship team, but he took the shortcut, win a championship by joining a good team and leaving to prove that he does not need the Warriors, turns out he was wrong, so he cannot come back to the Warriors now. I cannot imagine what Green is thinking about him now.  Smiley

Green has to be so happy, especially that they won a championship without him.

He was correct, they don't need Durant, and actually, the Warriors are fun to watch without Durant as they are not unbeatable, we see that they have struggled but in the end, they were able to conquer everything and win the championship.

Curry is probably better than Durant, who would agree with that?
1739  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: July 09, 2022, 12:19:23 PM
It's very obvious that most voters here are Filipinos, so we cannot prevent but to be biased because we believe that Magsayo will win and we support him. Yes, we will be seeing this big fight tomorrow, but I'm not sure how to watch this, is there any streaming site that would give a free pass for this event?
1740  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Hodlers are actively buying bitcoin these days on: July 08, 2022, 08:17:41 PM
This is always the case, there is no place for the weak in this world, they are always losers, unfortunately a large number of bitcoin holders put everything they have in buying bitcoin so when the bitcoin drops significantly they panic to lose all their money so they panic sell at a low price and here comes an opportunity Big whales to catch small fish and get stuffed up, panic selling is a big mistake that these people make because instead of saving their money they will lose a lot, if they are a little patient to avoid this loss and get additional profits as well.
Weak hands will never be totally successful and profitable because their mindset are only limited, and they easily quit and panic every time the market crashes. In the end, they only sell for a loss that made them become poorer. While those strong hands and big whales in the market are just waiting for good opportunities to take advantage, and buying bitcoin at a very discounted price will always be their most awaited moment to store a lot of bitcoin and hold them for long term.
