1981  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you following very basic crypto rules? on: May 28, 2022, 11:23:32 PM
Not only that you will invest in multiple coins but in different investments as well like stocks, bonds, real estate and even in gold. That way, if you lose in crypto, you will never experience such huge loss as you still have chances to make profits from your other investments. And yes, invest only on the amount you can manage to lose, although you can spend some of your life's savings but take only a portion of it and leave the rest for your other needs as well.

Yes, invest also outside the crypto market, much better in tangible assets like real-estate or gold.
Because if other fail, you have your tangible asset that you can see and hold.
Crypto market is still a very volatile one, so investing here is not an assurance that you will get your profits.
Those simple rules as stated by OP are easy to apply but some are ignoring them because they are after for high profits.
1982  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New coins bring a lot of big profits on: May 28, 2022, 10:40:31 PM
new coin could gives great and tremendous ROI but also could make your investment vanish into thin air and you should always remember that.
if your benchmark of a great new altcoin is luna then that definitely gonna become a really low benchmark here honestly.
you should instead look for new coin that could gives great ROI that didn't ended up causing millions lose their money, unlike luna there are some relatively new altcoins that are smart contract based like solana and matic, now the market share of smart contract based altcoin are already too competitive, so I doubt you could find any more newer smart contract altcoins.

Using LUNA as a benchmark is not a very smart idea.
I can agree with SOL and MATIC, because they are now getting popular as alternative networks to be used.
To be honest, it is hard to know potential coins to invest with. You really need to do your part of searching and studying them.
You maybe can read some suggestions but you still need to your job of assessing them before spending your hard-earned money.
1983  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🌴Summer Hangout event for $500 000🌴|🎨 Branded TofuNFT Giveaway on: May 28, 2022, 09:52:41 PM

Well, as long as we can gamble at Betfury without KYC it will be fine for me! I hope that will not change just because of the listing on Binance!

I think even if the Betfury team decides to add KYC to the site, then the listing on Binance or any other centralized exchange will clearly not be the reason why the Betfury team will do it. By the way, although Betfury does not currently have mandatory verification for all users, you should always keep in mind that they reserve the right to require KYC at any time. At least it is mentioned in their rules.

That is true, as they have Curacao gaming license, they can ask for KYC whenever they deem it is necessary.
However, for now, just enjoy the opportunity that they are not yet asking KYC from their players.
But we don't know if the high rollers are already submitting KYC though.
In any case, if their listing with binance will push thru, we don't know if betfury will now ask KYC from all their users.
Since the application now has changed, the process is now slow so for now, DEXs and other CEXs are more than enough.
1984  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to struggle hard when you in choise of Payment Gate for Gambling project on: May 27, 2022, 11:26:35 PM
We want to open a gaming business for Asian countries - Japan, China, and Thailand. What payment systems do you think will be convenient for this region? Thanks in advance.
Have someone research for you what are the known payment systems for each of those countries. Because there could be conflicts if your payment system will be in crypto.

We've heard the news about China restricting crypto transactions.

And that's why you have to make a research first before deciding what is to accept and that depends on the demand for each of those countries if those are the countries as your target market.

Maybe conduct a short market survey or just dig info over the net.
Because just like you said, since China has restrictions when it comes to crypto, it is not advisable to have payment in crypto only.
You will consider their fiat, CNY, and that will entail other legal requirements to fulfill to accept this method.
Japan and Thailand may be more acceptable with crypto payment, but then again, you need to research about their gambling protocols.
1985  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tether loses 10 billion dollars on: May 27, 2022, 10:51:17 PM
as you can see this has never happened before and the people who are selling out their USDTs are not your average joes but rather the whales,so what do you think ? Do they know something we dont ?

Most likely, the withdrawal of assets is related to the recent event of the loss of the peg by stablecoins, caused by the events around Terra. The media often writes about the contagion effect, that investors, under the pressure of panic, withdraw their funds and redistribute them to safe havens to wait out this uncertainty in the market. In addition, some evidence suggests that the entire stablecoin industry has experienced an outflow of funds from these assets, as the market is in a bearish trend and this is a normal occurrence.

In any case, if you are trying to hint at a possible usdt scam with these factors, it is unlikely to happen. The market has not yet recovered from the panic that LUNA started, so it is not surprising that investors are leaving the crypto space for a while.

I am more on the idea that some of these whales are cashing out.
Though we can't deny the possibility that some are afraid that USDT may also crashed.
Remember the time that USDT team admitted they were not fully backed by USD assets?
So these whales or big holders maybe are just ensuring their funds are secure in other form.
But I don't think USDT will turn to be scam also. People behind this are already well-known in this market.
And I think, they are pretty established as compared to UST, which is algo-based (no backing of fiat).
1986  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Mantra After, while playing And Before You Gamble on: May 27, 2022, 10:15:00 PM
LOL Cheesy, did you guys actually win every bet when you cast those spells? Unlike you, I don't believe it, every bet must have a 50:50 percentage for wins and losses.

Things like that actually have no effect on gambling, I used to have sacred items before gambling, I believe that when I carry those items, I will be lucky. But when I gamble, instead of winning, I lose. After I saw several articles related to it, I realized that all these things are suggestions that make our self-confidence increase.
Well, those mantra may don't bring out good effects for most of us, but maybe for some it does. So i guess the effects are different though. But as for me, no mantras happening, i just wish myself good luck and that's all, i'm ready to gamble. Maybe because gambling for me is simply more fun than money. Although i sometimes place a huge amount depending on the match, but in most cases i only bet  a small amount just to entertain myself and have fun.
Gambling should really be for fun and not for making money or something making it as a source of income yet this isn't how things should really be treated with specially we do talk about gambling which is a game of chance.

For some people whom do really believe about mantras and other behavior or beliefs then just let them be yet we do have different perception when it comes to gambling on which some people do really believe that it do really works which we know that this isn't something possible.

We have our own takes when it comes to gambling.
As long as you are not harming anyone with your beliefs, that's more than fine.
From my end, I really don't have the mantra, but before spending with my games, I know how much I can spend or lose.
So when I reached that amount, it means, I need to stop no matter what. Though sometimes I go below that amount, but not much.
1987  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🌴Summer Hangout event for $500 000🌴|🎨 Branded TofuNFT Giveaway on: May 26, 2022, 11:07:09 PM
as much as possible, they need to create some kind of interest to their token. so this summer hangout is by any means a good event to showcase their token. if this 1M BFG main prize will change its price from what we have today and further increase in the future, that lucky winner will be very lucky, if he will not sell it outright. $150 wagered is not too hard for a lot of gamblers to get that scratch card. so yes, i believe this upcoming event would attract more players on their site.
I get that they are getting some attention to their token, but at the same time they should be getting attention to the casino a lot more, and this could be a way of doing it. They need to do something both for the token and for the casino at the same time, this has been what we have talked about for a while now and they are finally doing that.

This is why I personally believe that this summer hangout deal (a ton of tokens and money) is the key thing to their success right now. Either they are going to grow insanely high this summer, and by September they will be one of the biggest names ever in crypto casino world, or it would be the biggest disappointment they ever had.

It seems to me that such events are good enough to get attention to the casino rather than the BFG token. At least, I don't remember that there was increased interest in the BFG token during previous events on the Betfury site. In my opinion, the best way to get attention to the BFG token is to get listed on popular centralized exchanges(binance, kucoin), and I hope the Betfury team is still trying to work on that.

As far as I know, one of their plans is to get listed in Binance.
However, there may be some setbacks that we don't know about.
But they are already heavily using BSC network in their casino.
Maybe the trading volume right now is not enough to make it in Binance.
But they are continuously working on their popularity as they come up with these high-reward events.
Listing will just come naturally once their token is attracting great interest in the community.
1988  Economy / Gambling / Re: Even if you are from the future, Lieutenant General probability will not change! on: May 26, 2022, 09:54:35 PM
If that is true then how would you travel back in time to bet the winning bet in that lottery?. If you want to promote your own lottery then you should just buy copper membership and create your ann thread presentable as much as possible and stop with the future thing since in my opinion, it does not exist yet and it may be possible that it will happen (if). More important is the reputation if many will trust this hash lottery or not so better start from there.

He needs to be realistic with the approach here as he is just building up his credibility.
A serious business will present his project in a better way and look for other threads here how they introduce their site properly.
But if you are just using some type of bait to possibly attract players, I don't think it will pan out here.
Because users here in the forum know if the site is crap or not. Maybe, it will attract players from outside the forum, but here, I don't think so.
1989  Economy / Gambling / Re: The latest cryptocurrency gambling on: May 26, 2022, 08:30:02 PM
We should let this thread die at the bottom of the gambling board, but the troll tempts us and achieves its goal:

This is the OP's only answer a few posts later, please, a guy looking to drive traffic to that link.

At least he lets us know that he knows how to quote.

Smiley

For users in this forum, we know that they won't easily send funds to this site.
Or better yet, they won't play on this site as there are better sites to play with.
I don't know the motive of the OP why he introduced this site to the forum, if he won't achieve anything here.
As it seems he doesn't bother to reply for any query or suggestions, so they should not expect any progress that they can get from this forum.
1990  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty is taking another direction on: May 25, 2022, 10:47:22 PM
The term 'BOUNTY' refers to as a reward for some specific act, especially one given by an authority or a government. But this definition is taking another dimension because most of the project owner or BMs don't really care enough about bounty hunters reward(s). To participate in bounty now is good as wasting your time. How on earth can someone earn $1-2 for working at least five days each week in a month? Does that sound good to you? This is incredible! Something has to be done about this before bounty turn to scam in it entirety. What's your view, opinion and suggestions on this?

Not all bounty hunters get their reward after joinging and focusing on the job that they need to do. They are having a hard time doing the job and end up receiving nothing.

There are some projects that end up as a scam but as a person who really need some money, you cannot stop what you are doing because there are projects that are also successful.

As we can't stop these people to launch their bounty programs, it lies now on the user if he will participate a specific bounty program or not.
The truth is, it is the bounty hunter's responsibility to do his job of researching the project and it is his own assessment if the project is worth to promote or not.
You have your choice whether to join or not, it is not compulsory to join every bounty, so whatever happens will be your own judgment here.
This is why some BM will put a disclaimer that they are not part of the project but just asked to hold the campaign, and they are not liable to whatever losses people will have.
1991  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MEXC x LUNA Recovery Plan - Vote to Win 5,000 USDT Bonus! on: May 25, 2022, 10:00:18 PM
People will still trust Do Kwon despite what has happened of course, this is for the sake of hoping they could get their money back. I do hope it will come a success but the benefit of the doubt still lies on him of what happened. I think MEXC just wan this opportunity to promote their own exchange, not bad but likely this is the norm in the marketing world.

Certainly, this is a marketing strategy from MEXC, to attract possible traders in their exchange.
LUNA is in the hot seat right now, and whatever they can do to ride the situation may get some interest especially to previously LUNA holders.
We have heard that Do Kwon have recovery plans, but to what extent of recovery he is aiming here?
This is yet to be seen, if in case the LUNA team can really do a good job to implement their new plans.
But I believe, most of these previously holders would be hesitant to put more money, maybe they will be aiming to at least get something out of it.
1992  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tether (USDT) - Backed by Air and Words on: May 24, 2022, 11:03:01 PM
There was a report last year about Tether's reserves but the problem was it's conducted by an audit firm called Cayman. Tether opened their books to them as part of their compliance but you cannot really rely on reports released by another shady company can you? Why did they not seek the expertise of top audit companies like Ernst and Young or the PwC?

Here's their reserve breakdown as reported by Coindesk,
- Cash & Cash Equivalents & Short-term deposits & Commercial paper: 75.85%
- Secured Loans: 12.55%
- Corporate Bonds, Funds & Precious metals: 9.96%
- Other investments: 1.64%

Up until today, I also have doubts about their true backing and their actual assets.
I guess, we won't know the absolute truth coming from them as they can cover up with the help of other third party companies.
So for me, it is better to hold your coin in BTC rather than in USDT. Just remember the 2019 admittance that they are not purely backed by USD assets.
1993  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 (September 17) on: May 24, 2022, 10:13:02 PM
People would really be still loving to see this Trilogy which lots had been anticipating for too long and now it would really happen. THanks for the share up bud.
I do agree that it should really be done few years back where GGG isnt really still near on his retirement or simply being old but for sure he do still have something into his sleeves.
But i would really be still considering for Canelo on closing this one for good.  Wink

The consolation here is that GGG is still very much active as he just won over Murata.
So the preparation won't be that too hard for him because he is still active.
If in case Canelo will lose this fight, what do you think will be next for him?
Will GGG retire for good or arrange for another big fight? But who?
My prediction here is that GGG may be slightly favored by sportsbooks when it comes to odds.
1994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DEWO just got rug pulled on: May 24, 2022, 09:47:07 PM
I just don't understand that despite they are one of the priority projects of Kommunitas launchpad (based on strict criteria), why they still have initiated to pull this one off?
It's likely that they've planned it before doing this.

Until they're not able to reach that goal and plan, they're making it look like they're an actual serious team working for this project. As they say, "fake it until you make it".

This is so common in the market lately that there are too many projects rugpulling because of the money that they can easily make after being introduced to the community and having a good share of volume.

I have encountered this project as I believe they were running bounty program.
But didn't know that they already managed to exit and scam its holders.
You are right, high probability that they were already planning to pull this stunt even before launching their project.
Though it is not big as some scam projects, but that amount, you can already live decently in your lifetime.
This is why many people are still hesitant in crypto market because of so many scammers. I won't blame them for being too cautious in this market.
1995  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Some Errors We Make In Trading Crypto on: May 23, 2022, 09:45:19 PM
one of my greatest mistake as a trader is going into a Bullish market for a sell instead of maintaining my Buying position , when my indicator signified pull back in a lower time frame  Sad  ......later got hit by my stop loss
If my understanding is correct, bullish seasons are the right time to sell and buying by that time isn't really that good unless there's a higher price during that bull.

As for setting stop loss, that's really the purpose of it.

That's going to minimize the potential losses that you'll get instead of no stopping as the market plunges so it's still a good thing that has happened to you.
Stop loss is basically the motor stop of all crypto trading. It means that you are going to get out if something scary happens, prevent a crash and keep you alive. I keep saying that stop loss should be used in a way where you could be crashing so hard that it would be an idiotic move not to sell. Like for example Bitcoin dropped recently didn't it? You didn't need to do a stop loss there, you could make a long time purchase and just DCA that to recover in the quicker return time period. However when you see Luna, you understand why you need a stop loss, because if you did a stop loss even at 99% drop, you could have saved yourself and make more profit.

But most traders won't use that strategy because they thought they know the market well.
Who would have thought that LUNA will crash this badly?
Aside from few Youtubers who predicted about this Luna catastrophe, a lot of holders were actually hoping to gain from this investment.
But I do agree with the use of stop-loss strategy, it may be your savior in some of your trades.
1996  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hard earned money - Busted in seconds on: May 23, 2022, 09:10:58 PM
Many of us lose money, and the emotion after a large loss is really sad; all you have to do is accept how difficult it is. The more money you lose, the more you want it back, and people may get way too greedy, so I recommend taking a break and simply observe the game.
This is called chasing your losses and it happens almost everywhere where money is involved, it is not rare for a trader to work for months to get profits and then when they make a bad trade and lose a great deal of those profits they cannot accept it and then use a lot of money during the next trade to try to recover the money they lost.

However most likely they will lose that trade as well as they were not thinking clearly during those moments, so instead of experimenting a small loss and move on now they have to deal with massive losses which will be almost impossible to recover.
Chasing losses can lead to suicide like in crash scene of Luna in rare cases, traders or gamblers should think twice before chasing losses in previous loss session. It may pay you once and gambler can win back losses but one mistake or bad loss streak can destroy bankroll management terribly. Having a self awareness and proper control of your bets can save gambler, this is what we are suggesting to do.

I believe, everyone has experienced this situation at one point in their gambling life.
So once you learned your own lesson, better be cautious the next time.
Because no one will help you but yourself in this situation.
It is you that subjected yourself in this situation, so it is you also who need to find a way how to get out of the situation.
It is easy to say but hard to implement but that's the reality. If you won't change your habits, you will be in deep trouble with your debts.
1997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Terra Luna Delisting from Binance, investors lose millions of dollars! on: May 23, 2022, 08:33:13 PM
After there was a big problem with the LUNA project and many investors who have been harmed by the project so that pressure was born from binance who had made a statement that it would delist the coin, and currently only the LUNA / BUSD token pair may be later if the recovery carried out by the LUNA team can be successful then still have hopes that binance will again maintain the coin, with the hard work of the team I am sure LUNA will come back to life.

yes, that's right,,, but I really doubt if terra luna will live again let alone the price can go up as usual, considering that LUNA has fallen too deep, and even if the development team can overcome the problems that have occurred so far, but in my opinion to increase public trust is very difficult to do because everyone was very disappointed with LUNA all this time.
It would be hard for LUNA to reach it's all time high price again in my own oppinion. The community trust have been broken and the concept of luna has been proved that it could be exploited by some whales. Community alone wouldn't take a risk catching falling knives. The risk is very high for luna right now even if they introduce a recovery plan. It wasn't enough.

I really don't think the LUNA team can recover from this crash, if in case they have plans to revive their project.
The investors and holders already lost their trust, do you really think people will spend again if the team will introduce a forked coin?
Aside from that, Do Kwon may only be saying about the recovery plans to avoid heavy backlash from its holders.
But the truth is, they can't do it. They failed and bouncing back would be too difficult for them.
This may not be the last that we hear to suffer massive failure from a known project, so we should always be on alert with our coin holdings.

325btc always comes up with odd topics  Grin
What I perceive from most of your posts is you are only looking for shorter or free ways to get rich quickly without doing much and enjoy the free money with friends. All your posts just screaming for free money but unfortunately, the world does not work that way.

If this new virus is not as deadly as covid-19 I doubt you will get any stimulus check so instead of looking for free money get an actual job to keep you busy instead of day dreaming.  Grin

Maybe you are right with 32btc, but in any case, we all need to think that we should not rely from our government.
If there will be new virus, don't hope that it will be the reason for new stimulus or any financial package.
Because the help from our government will only go to some extent. At the end of the day, we need to find ways on how to survive with any crisis.
If our mindset will be like, oh our government is here to support us. You may find yourself to be in hungry mode before anyone help your situation.
Why not prepare yourself for what may possibly happen? Don't rely on anyone, do your job and take care of your own business.
1999  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What is the best setup to start a crypto investment service on: May 23, 2022, 05:51:35 PM
OK. Cool. thks for your reply. Is there another way than creating a trust ?

An ETF does basically the same.
These kind of funds are highly regulated and there are a lot of paper work related to them.

Quote
What about services that provide an app to invest in crypto. Does it means that such a service needs a wallet per user ? They never combine tiny user orders in one large ?

You can create an APP which has some kind of partnership to crypto x crypto swap services (there are a lot of them, changelly, shapeshift, etc etc). There are even some wallets which have these services integrated.

If you want to accept payments in your local fiat currency, things get more complicated as you need to comply with your local legislations.

You would need a partnership with a local exchange that would allow you to convert fiat / crypto for your clients and transfer to their wallets.

In this case, the service that you may want to offer with your clients need to be legally registered under your jurisdiction.
Because if you will accept your local fiat, definitely, you would need to comply with your local laws.
Otherwise, you will be running like in the black market. And I don't think people will trust their hard-earned savings in your platform.
An app alone won't attract interest if they know the services are not tied to legal authorities.
Because it is easy to abandon the app and get all those funds if the team decided to exit this market.
People need assurance these days, otherwise, they can just do their own trading using reputable exchanges, even utilizing other financial services.
2000  Economy / Economics / Re: Countries with the most expensive fuel | Greece's case study on: May 23, 2022, 04:51:45 PM
Apart from the list being of the countries with the most expensive fuels I do think that it can also be the list of countries who have to adopt alternative options asap. Tesla is not affordable for everyone ofcourse but I do think they can also bring something good in the market which might not only be of help to families who are struggling but expand their options as well. There are other cars available in the market but not that easy to sort the best our out there. Other than that there are countries like Russia who are exporting the fuel to Europe or *was* exporting, therefore I do think that soon enough many EU countries would be joining the list as well. France, Germany, Italy , Ireland, Sweden all are having the fuel prices which are more than 2$ and due to blockage of the supplies by the Russians and them having less alternative options it might not be an ideal time to start.

Maybe not aim to have a car fueled by gasoline/diesel these days. But try checking out electric vehicles like electric bikes or tricycles.
And if you are just doing short distances, why not just walk, use bike or use the public transportation?
If you have the option not to use a car, then don't. Aside from saving money, you are also lessening your carbon footprint.
Everywhere seems to increase the fuel prices, not only in Europe area. So be smart these days, look for alternative and better options.
