And a question: how many peers are other people seeing ?
I've got 38 Active and 228 Known at the moment, rising slowly.

Also seeing this version as much more stable than the last. Or perhaps it's the lower ddos and higher number of nodes - although some part of me doesn't quite buy that.

The client says: 544 active, 213, known, 0 blacklisted; currently on block 24091 (4895341814651187594).

Still only seeing 49 active, is this something i should worry about?

Last block was:

Just got to say to all the nxt devs: Nice work on 0.4.4, guys!!

More I dig thru changes in 0.4.4 more I believe that it's coz of increased number of legit peers. U should thank those who brought more nodes.

Well, something went very right all of a sudden......so thanks to absolutely everyone in the Nxt community!

Just got to say to all the nxt devs: Nice work on 0.4.4, guys!!

Installed it a couple of hours ago, steady as a rock up til now.
I used the old blockchain files from my 0.4.2 and it picked up and ran with them really nicely.
Haven't forked or deleted a blockchain in the last 3 hours...hurrah!

So once again, good job, guys!

and cheaping on the only component where failure can take out the rest of your rig ? and your house, if you're really unlucky......

So yesterday I created an address by choosing a pass-phrase, but now, when I get to localhost:7874 and put that pass-phrase, a different address appears. How can I access my original address?

U must be inputting a different pass phrase....u need to figure out the original.

Remember that Nxt works with a "brain wallet"....your passphrase IS your account.
No other backup exists (afaik) so u need to make sure that u dont lose it.....

Just put a node back up on my home PC, seems to be rolling along nicely, even had my 250 missing NXT turn up.

But: because I am Captain Newbie round here (proud NXT supporter for the last 30 hours and counting) could someone have a look and let me know if I am actually running a public node and actually helping out NXT ?
IP is 24.132.70.212, ta very much.

1580825311588963305

And i'm running 4.2, last block info is:

I do not see you on the Active Peers list. Is that a static IP?

Yep, its static.
Do I have to set any parameters myself to go public, or are all nodes public straight out of the box ?

Got into NXT yesterday, only to find myself in the middle of a crypto-coin war......

Bollox.

Lost .05 BTC from my original 0.1 already, getting DDoS'd off the flaming web, had 250 NXT vanish into thin air but I like the looks of NXT and i'm still running a node, trying to help however I can.

Could I have some love ? And some more NXT would be nice.....

Completely unrelated newbie question:

How do I stop the Java app ?

I've got as far as starting it with a .bat file, but no-one mentioned stopping......

Dont want to just shut down the PC with it running, though it probably won't do any harm. Be good to have a big red stop button to press.

Put up a NXT node a few hours ago, seems to be running fine, tho' I'm still a little sketchy on the details......see 24.132.70.212

<victorian orphan voice>

Please, sir, could I have some more NXT?   Smiley

Bloody LiteCoins........
2294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where to buy Litecoin in the Netherlands? on: December 16, 2013, 08:40:33 PM
You can buy Litecoins directly via iDeal from:

http://www.litecoins.nl/

I've bought 10 from them, they do seem a bit overpriced, but they are the only iDeal LTC vendor that I can find.
Very fast and reliable, btw, LTC in wallet within a couple of minutes.
