Such a great time saver.

Isn't this the forum equivalent of putting your hands over your ears and going "LALALALALALALA!" ?

If it goes to court, I hope you'll do this in the witness stand, too Smiley

Now, I really would pay money to see this go to court.
And for the huge pile of damages I can pull from the FCs.

Oh, the psychological distress of it all: "haven't been able to sleep since the FCs started this malicious prosecution, your judgeness"

And the FCs seem to be have never heard of one of Sun Tzu's most useful quotes:
"Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer"

Still, maybe we're not on solracx's ignore list yet, so the FCs can still stay in the loop.

@ the FCs:
Shall we contact the board mods/admins now?

Get them on the job of sorting out copies of these threads for our respective legal teams:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=345619

Any other thread you may need to prove your case?

Again, FC, do not PM me.

If I decide to go for the legal action route, you will have my contact information in public.

PMs here:

And a groundless, malicious prosecution allows me to counter-sue you, as a corporate entity.
Don't PM me again, post on the threads.

I want this to be as public as possible, dont u?

You be careful dave.

If I you make enough false accusations such that I incur monetary damages,  then I can certainly file a claim against you.

One last thing dave... we don't have any sock puppet accounts like you claim.

If you want to claim that,  we can certainly win that battle in court.

So,  can you furnish your name and address please?

And a groundless, malicious prosecution allows me to counter-sue you, as a corporate entity.

You can give my you name and address here to protect your privacy.

Heres a couple of links for further study:

http://abuseofprocess.uslegal.com/nature-and-elements-of-action-in-general-2/distinctions-from-malicious-prosecution-and-malicious-use-of-process/

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vexatious_litigation

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frivolous_lawsuit

After all that, maybe we can vote on the best looking lawyer for this job:

http://www.lawyers.com/malicious-prosecution/germantown/maryland/law-firms/

I'm going to hold off on any decision until Monday, I'll give one of the local law dogs a call in Maryland. See what they have to say.
And I'll have a chat with my own (publicity-hungry, he's getting into politics) legal Rottwieler.

I don't think i'd mind a trip (or two) to Maryland on the FCs tab, never been to the US yet.

Note to posters.

Any attempts at defamation is sufficient grounds for us to make financial claims against you.

Yes,  defaming a legal corporation does have financial consequences.

Please be very careful as to what you say.

Thank you.

Got to point out that up until yesterday u had not presented yourself on this forum as a legally protected corporate entity.
So all of your activities before the moment that u revealed yourself as Carlos the corporation were those of a private individual.

Only, if u have always been a corporation, why did u represent yourself on this forum as not just one, but two (or more) private individuals ?
Hmmm....that could be read as a deliberate deception in order to obtain funds.

Two legal entities each with their own account.

Are you ready to backup that claim of more than two accounts?

Objection sustained.
Nope, I have no evidence at this moment. We'll stick to 2 people, and I'll wait with the "or more" until we've had a better look at the originating IPs of your remarkably new investor accounts.

Lets face it, C, this is turning into a farce.

@ everyone else:

FC just sent me a PM:
Please furnish us with your name and address.

Attempts at defamation allows us to legally file financial claims of damages against you.

So, FC, lets see your evidence for a change.  Bring it on....

see other thread for more reservations

There, fixed that for ya!
LOL'd lots.
Poor old FCs..........

EvilDave,  if you do not want to provide us with your identity,  then please do not post false accusations.

We are a legitimate business and your persistent wrongful justified, accurate and completely proveable accusations may require us to file damages against you.

Ever heard of "malicious prosecution", FCs ?
Or counter-suing ?
Or punitive damages?

Any case u attempt to bring will hinge on one piece of evidence, ie this forum.
This forum thread (and its backups) is absolutely full of clear evidence of your shady dealings, much of it coming directly from your own posts.
You really should stop with threatening legal action against your critics and simply answer the questions we put to you without too much evasive bullshit and swapping of hats from FC to FC.

As I've said before, u seem to severely over-estimate your own abilities in several areas.

Quick edit: Do the FCs really, really, want to bring conclusive and comprehensive evidence of all of their "legitimate business practices" into a courtroom ?
Sounds like suicide to me, I'm gonna lawyer up and investigate how the counter suing process works in the US of A.
This could be very profitable.....

salsacz:
U r a genius. Thats all I can say.......I can't wait to show this to my good friend(s) FrictionlessCoin.

@siegtal81: Yes, people probably have posted multiple accounts to get multiple shares. But they have also sent multiple donations, so what can u do? Utopianfuture did write about it on the frontpage, as I remember.

Got a proposal for ya, FC.

How about u stop deleting critical, constructive and non-abusive posts from your self modded threads and I'll stop playing games with your links, if I have to quote them?

noted

Duly noted.....not being sarcastic (for a change) but are we agreeing on something?
I'll see how far I get with posting on yr self-modded thread later on today.

Well, surprisingly, I didn't get all that far.....
Posted this on the FCs *self-moderated* thread this a.m., it lasted about an hour or so:

A reply of yours, quoted below, was deleted by the starter of a self-moderated topic. There are no rules of self-moderation, so this deletion cannot be appealed. Do not continue posting in this topic if the topic-starter has requested that you leave.

<blinks in sunlight>
Hello, all....
I'm one of FrictionlessCoins more vocal critics, or "troll" as FC likes to say.

U may not have seen my post on this thread, because it evaporated faster than dry ice in July, for some reason me not understand.
I've struck a deal (I think)* with the FCs that I am allowed out from under my bridge to enjoy the sunshine of this self-modded thread if I stop poisoning all his other links to this lovely place and behave myself a little.
So heres my original post in (almost) all its glory:

Quote
FC: busy little thread u got here.

And u seem to be wearing your sane person red hat today.
U can actually sound credible when u try hard enough, so don't let any nasty NXT trolls annoy you.

A couple of points:

Still not interested. Sorry....

Your solracx/Carlos alter ego apparently owns 50% of all ZenithCoin.
Given your love of a fair and equitable distribution, this must cause u sleepless nights,
So, when can we expect the great Xenith Coin giveaway thread ?
I'll take 100,000 off your hands if u like, just to help u sleep with a clear conscience.
Any one else want some?

Can u provide more details of your dev team ?
Since u admitted that FrictionlessCoin and solracx are in fact the same person, this has reduced the visible dev team to one.  Note: it has since become clear (ie FC finally admitted it) that he is solracx/Carlos and FC is actually his corporate entity, Yeah, i know, it's complicated
I'm concerned that u may end up with too much work to do on your own, what with the dev work and the marketing and the fundraising and the coffee making and the NameCoin project and the ZenithCoin and the iXcoin........u need to pace yourself, mate.
Get some help in.

How is Lucky88888 doing ?
If u remember, from around 3 days ago,  he was an investor in nex, who claims to have lost 9995 NXT while using your original nex client release.
Have u got in touch with him to offer help/compensation ?
I could do it for u if u like, reduce that workload a bit.

Wishing u all the best with this incredibly interesting and very original project.<----sarcasm.

*Can never be sure with the FCs. Tricky little blighters.

@TDservices: I've read some of yr posts on other fora, and u seem fairly sane, and coherent.
Could u share your analysis and thoughts on the NXT/nex/FC situation ?

I actually thought (based on the fact that the FCs and I seemed to have reached an agreement) that a reasonable post with some of the many questions about the FCs "corporate" business practices might stay up.

How wrong I was.....guess its always possible that one of the FCs deleted my post without knowing that i had a "noted" agreement with one of the other FCs.

But, Dave, I hear u ask, didn't the FCs say that there was only one FC?
Yes, children, I too am confused.

Anyhow, back to viciously mis-quoting the FCs wherever possible.

And I had actually deleted my nasty links......can't trust some people, eh?

Good work ,bro.
Sent u a PM with some proofreading work for the front page, just spelling corrections mostly.

My friend told me I should register and take part in Nxt community.
It shocked me when I saw this long thread (maybe the longest one?).
I guess it will take me days to see it through.
Maybe I should find some easy to follow source, advice?

PS: This community is definitely awesome. Wish it is not too late to join.

It's not too late.
Buy some NXT (check the exchanges, make a personal purchase from a trusted source)
Price has dipped a little right now to around $0.07, but I think it will easily reach $1-2 inside the next few months. Nice profit, any way u look at it. Do some work for the NXT community, get bounties/donations.

If u want to get in on the ground floor of a new crypto, there are lots of NXT clones "in the pipeline" and accepting investors. The only one I have invested in so far is NEM, but thats because I haven't properly checked out all of the others yet.
I recommend that u avoid NEX/NIX, for the rest make your own mind up and get on in.

I also recommend that u read as much as u can of this thread (and others). Its a pain in the arse, but a bit of research is always important before u invest.

Good Luck!

Edit: at 3.00 am....bloody hell....

Upgraded VPS to 5.10, everyone needs to upgrade to 5.10 before block 51000 (in about 20 hours or so)

I'll probably still be awake.....

Gentlemen,

Many of the trolls here are deliberately changing the reservation link,  this is not the link:

...la...la...la...la....deleted, for the moment.

I remind people on this board that deceptively changing the original link can be construed as fraudulent activity.

Thank you.

I ask you all to fix your links before it is captured for posterity.

That would be one of the trolls, FC. Yes, it's me.....

How is forwarding a click to the scam accusations board from within my own post fraudulent activity ?

And, I have to point out,  it has already been captured for posterity. Remember my post about backups from almost a page ago ?

So you admit to deliberately altering the links so that they land in other pages?

Well......... yes.
Obviously, you are quite slow sometimes.

My post, my text. Not actually changing your original links, so how is this any different from, for example, using big letters to shout scam very loudly ?

U can see above a very nice link to the scam education thread:

The strippers better kick azz in Miami Beach.... still in Chi airport for 90 more min. The material Nikel has is super solid... he's more prepared than I've been at previous conferences.

How are you guys doing? Smiley

Nikel is one flight ahead of me... delays all day. No worries... i already did 2 phone inteviews and setup some Miami meetings. We are going in guns blazing.

<Thumbs up>

Nice one, guys, go get 'em.
1978  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NXT :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: January 25, 2014, 12:50:54 AM
You have a little bit than 24h to upgrade to 0.5.10 or you will be left on a fork (http://info.nxtcrypto.org/client-update-0-5-10/).
I don't see many 0.5.10 online peers.
Just a reminder...

I'm about to go do my VPS, just checked the SHA256 hash on the .zip file.
It's 2 am, I should be in bed.....

Anyone who isn't in bed, avoid a nasty forking, please upgrade

If u r in bed...enjoy some nasty forking with your loved ones..... Cool
1979  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NXT :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: January 25, 2014, 12:05:56 AM
It seems like a good idea to me, maybe just set a default time between log-in attempts of 10-30 seconds. That will at least slow directed BF attacks down considerably. However, there is nothing to stop the attacker attacking multiple accounts simultaneously, switching between targets as it gets locked out.

This won't help. They do not brute-force it like this.

What matters is the amount of entropy in the passphrase.
Please read what PBKDF2 is.
It's even in principle possible to make a system where single word passwords like 'apple12' are safe, but key generation would be way too long.

That makes sense, I'm still locked into thinking about how an attack on a PC or client software works, rather than how attacks against the blockchains password database are implemented.

So the PBKDF2 function produces a derived key, using multiple (1000+) hashes of the original passphrase (+ optional salt phrase) which has the effect of massively ramping up the computing power needed to reverse engineer the hash and thus the password/phrase.

Am I getting closer here?
