With great pride, I announce the launch of the NXT_Carbon fund!

https://nxtforum.org/assets-board/%28ann%29-nxtcarbon-making-nxt-truly-environmentally-friendly!/new/#new

It's basically a carbon-offset scheme financed via the asset exchange, so if you want to offset the environmental costs of your NXT energy consumption, buy some.

Heres the basic info, much more info in the [ANN] thread:

NxtCarbon
ID no: 2182629384137726401
and is only available from:

Account name: NXT_Carbon Fund

NXT-V8D6-R4DW-SMMT-4FTRH
2873065358129731940

NxtCarbon will cost 5 NXT per unit, if everyone donates 0.5% of their NXT holdings to NxtCarbon, we will have more than enough to cover the next 2-3 years of NXT energy use. I've put 5% of my personal stash into it....
Any extra funds will be used to support other NXT community projects, so buy some!

Hitbtc guys/girls:

I'm EvilDave, one of the marketing/conference team from NXT:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=587007.0

We met some of your representatives at the Bitcoin2014 conference last weekend, (which was brilliant, btw) and had a little chat.
We're definitely impressed by hitbtc and would love to have a listing for NXT on hitbtcs fiat markets, so NXT<>EUR/USD.

As you might have noticed, NXT (together with Blackcoin and DOGE) have been rocking your voting page:
https://hitbtc.com/vote
and I'm curious as to what plans you guys have for listing new crypto's on hitbtc ?

I'm all about the co-operation within crypto these days, so I see the massive interest in you from all 3 crypto's as a good thing, and I'd like to see all of the top 3 voted currencies listed on hitbtc, to be honest.
That just makes the potential markets that much bigger for everyone and we all win.

Anyhow, could you give us some information about your plans ?
I have spoken to one of your project representatives by phone a couple of days ago, and so I understand that you are all very busy right now.

Keep up the good work, mate, love your exchange.

EvilDave.

Shameless selfpost: Can you guys take a look at my website and give some feedback and test the trollbox?

Thank you Smiley

Tried it, liked it.

Good work, Twin!

Hitbtc.com voting .....

Guys/girls/undecided:

You have all done a brilliant job on the voting campaign for the hitbtc.com exchange, we are still slightly behind Blackcoin, but not by much.
I've had some positive contact with a representative from hitbtc in the last 2 days, and they are definitely interested. So far the good news, now for the bad news:

Who let the DOGEs out?

As you can see, the doggies are at 2000 votes and climbing, probably 3000 by the time I finish this post.
Maybe we should make a truce with BC, go and have a beer while the DOGEs go voting-crazy.....

Anyway, this is turning into an interesting competition......keep it rolling, everyone, all of this 3-way battle just means more users for hitbtc and more market for NXT, when we get on.

Everybody wins.

So go to:
https://hitbtc.com/vote
Vote, then register and vote again for a x10 vote. Then use hitbtc......it looks like a bloody good exchange.
1406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: May 20, 2014, 11:20:11 PM
On the hitbtc.com voting campaign:

Quote from: TeamWealth
We have hit the big 1k! Yay arbitrary milestone!

But we need more votes to stay ahead, Blackcoin are catching up......1337 to 1167 now.

so head on over to:

https://hitbtc.com/vote

and vote, then register as a user and vote again for an extra x10 vote.

Then use them for trading.......
If this works out we get access to direct NXT<>fiat markets via hitbtc, allowing transfer of funds directly from a EUR/USD bank account into NXT and vice versa. This is important......
1407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: May 20, 2014, 10:09:21 PM
Hey guys dont use cryptsy for exchanging NXT. They will still your money and will not provide any support.

Cryptsy certainly make mistakes, but usually your funds turn up in the end.

What happened to you with Cryptsy?
1408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: May 20, 2014, 10:07:54 PM
Hey guys,

I know this community is great. But we need to maintain our headstart. Smiley

VOTE, guys!

and vote!

We are well ahead, but more is better.

And we've just set up a project to help with exchange integration issues:

Any one wants to help.....jump on in.
1409  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: May 20, 2014, 03:54:50 PM
Guys, there's no volume on hibtc just look at the order books Smiley

We need to get on mintpal, the biggest alt-exchange market. Here are the volumes including all alt currencies:
Mintpal: 4,000 BTC/day
Crypsty: 2,500 BTC/day
Bter: 550 BTC/day
Dgex: 10 BTC/day

We are on all major occidental alt-exchanges but the... biggest one (excluding btc-e). I just sent an e-mail to mintpal (support@mintpal.com) to see NXT as an option to vote it up and I would encourage you to do so to increase awareness and see NXT in its right place, next to BTC in market cap:
https://www.mintpal.com/voting

We already won the voting on Mintpal but they were unable to add Nxt due to technical difficulties. Someone recently contacted them and they said they are still working on it.

Ok thanks for the update. Something tells me that they'll manage to find a way when we see NXT with higher price and volume.

Couple of points:
Mintpal does not have fiat<>alt capability or full bank account integration with SEPA/SWIFT transfers. Hitbtc does.
If we ever want to go mainstream, we need this capability.
Even though hitbtc are a new exchange, they are looking very good already, and getting on there can only be good for NXT.
I'd also like to get on Mintpal, but they seem to have very serious problems with getting NXT up and running in their system.

My suggestion is that we concentrate on hitbtc, form a team of tech guys to help them with integration, and then come back to help Mintpal (if they want our help) once we have hitbtc up and running.

I spoke to a reresentative from hitbtc today, she was very positive......:
Reposted from: https://nxtforum.org/nxt-promotion/httpshitbtc-comvote/20/

Boys and girls:

First of all, thank you very much for the voting support on hitbtc.com.......keep on rolling.

I've just spoken to the project representative from hitbtc that I met at the Bitcoin2014 conference, she had taken 2 days off after the conf. so hadn't seen the voting page since Sunday morning. She was surprised, and very happy to see the amount of voting action in the last 48 hours.

Like I said, hitbtc are fairly new, but very serious, so they want to see long-term users and trading volume. Whoever can give them that will get listed.....
My contact is going to have a discussion with her colleagues tomorrow, and I'll give her another call late in the afternoon for a further chat based on the colleagues input. She was very positive over NXT, and very happy with the volume of votes and new users.....good work, guys!

We are still a way from definitely getting listed on hitbtc, but things are looking very good for us.
If we keep ahead of Blackcoin, keep on showing hitbtc support, and do some serious trading with them.......... Grin
I don't want to make any promises too early, but things are looking good.

I need to find some tech guys to help hitbtc with the integration process, so if any of you have ever helped with exchange integration drop me a PM.

Keep voting, I'll keep you all posted with further developments as I get them.

Keep on voting and, if you can, use hitbtc.com for some trading !!

Thanks again.....
1410  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: May 19, 2014, 09:00:19 PM

And this is f**king important, too.

I'm sort of asking some guys to form a team to help with campaigning and integration for some exchanges right now.
If you want to help...let me know.

In the course of the next couple of hours I'll mail HitBTC.com as a (semi-) official NXT representative, and then give them a phone call in the morning.
(Me Amsterdam, HitBTC contact is in Germany, easy.)

Keep on voting, and keep on registering accounts, but don't spam them with too many useless sockpuppet accounts.
They are a serious business, so keep it fairly serious.
What HitBTC will want to see from any new currency that they list will be trading volume, not just lots of users.

Having said that: Number One!...good work, people!

And if you are promoting this, make sure you promote HitBTC just as hard as you promote NXT, they look like a very good exchange, and they also seem to have all of thelegal/security stuff sorted out.  They are a serious operation, here for the long term, just like NXT. I did about 20 minutes worth of trading/looking around  there last night, and it works really smoothly.

And did I mention they can handle SEPA and SWIFT transfers ? Dollars and Euros directly in and out of NXT from/to your bank account.

I know, I am sucking but his is important.

I got 50% outdated nodes out there.

Please, update to 1.1.3 soon.

This is also f**king important,guys.

I floated an idea about contacting outdated nodes via WHOIS lookup a couple of weeks ago, anyone want to take it on just to see if does get any results?

VOTE NOW!!!

Not sure why or if it is worth it but I just want to win Cool

Guys:

By coincidence, we spoke to these guys at the Amsterdam Bitcoin2014 conference over the weekend, and they are pretty damn serious about their biz. Got a very professional and trustworthy feeling from them, and they also have fiat trading (Euro and dollar) possibilities. I've signed up with them, (and actually used them a little bit last night, very sweet interface)  and if we could get NXT listed with them, that would be pretty important.

So keep on voting, send a couple of polite mails asking for NXT to be listed and make it clear if you sign up for an account, that you are signing up with them as a proud member of the NXT community.

I'm gonna chat to the guys from NXT conference team soon, might have more ideas/info but this is a good thing......keep it up.

Bear in mind that they are going to need some help to integrate NXT with their systems.
@Daedelus: Nice work, mate,

Done! Guys even if you voted unregistered, once you register it let's you vote again and your vote counts as X10. So everybody, register (you need 30 seconds for this) and vote again! Lets do this for NXT!  Smiley

+10...it looks like a good exchange, fiat trading...lots of good stuff. So join up, and vote!
1413  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: May 19, 2014, 05:30:27 PM
Bear in mind that they are going to need some help to integrate NXT with their systems.

What exactly do they need?

Standard procedure is basically to ask them and get them in touch with one of our devs.
I think forkedchain did it last time, but may be wrong.

This is why I asked EvilDave. Wink
And I thought it was opticalcarrier...but I could be wrong.
I'd like to see us get NXT on here, but I'm being a lazy swine right now.

Could a couple of you guys (I'm thinking daedalus and/or chuckone, but any sane, semi-professional guys can help) form a little workgroup to make contact with Hitbtc, manage the campaign and find some tech. support for the integration process?

We have some contact information from our chat with them at the conference, I'll pass it on to whoever wants to take point on this.
PM me for further chats....

I was there for Dr. B's speech, and it was pretty amazing. Definitely not what i would have expected for a Bitcoin conference keynote speech.

Taking the bezzle out of the entire financial system.......watch/read the speech.

Hey, just thought I'd drop in with a reminder that Bitcoin2014 in Amsterdam is going amazingly for NXT.
Heres my latest post from the conference thread on nxtforum.org:
https://nxtforum.org/bitcoin2014-btc-foundation-conference-amsterdam-%28may-15-17%29/may-16-updates/

Guys/girls/things:

On behalf of the Conf. Crew, I'd like to apologise for the lousy updates here.
The good news is that we can't update because the NXT booth has been completely overwhelmed with people for pretty much the entire day, It's very difficult to describe the amazingly positive buzz thats happening here with NXT: it seems as if everyone here is interested in NXT in some way.
The buzz is not only about NXT, btw, the whole conference is totally optimistic about the future of crypto, Bitcoin and alts. Its a very powerful feeling.

Couple of random things: the RaspPi Solar is a brilliant conversation piece, all the tech dudes love it. Myself and Bas have developed a charging system demo for the solar panel.... as you lift it up towards the overhead lights, the charging boards LEDs start to flash as the current goes up. i think we have that on video, to be posted in a day or so....

Legal aspects of 2nd generation features (and the legal side of crypto in general) is a recurring theme in the conversations we're having. We really need to think very carefully about what we are doing with the AE, for example. Luckily we made some very good legal contacts: Norton Rose Fulbright are the law firm in crypto, and we've had about 3 sessions with the guy who is heading up their crypto point group. Had some other lawyers as well....

We will work up a full list of contacts (with proper notes on each) when the conf is over, Sat is the last day.
As i said earlier, we are so busy, that any keyboard time at the booth means ignoring interested people. We've had 3-5 NXT guys on the booth all day, and I can remember only a couple of periods of a minute or 3 with no-one actually deep in a conversation with an interested attendee.

I went on a mission to annoy all the mining-rig companies today, invite them over to see the RPS, and all I got where mostly NXT-positive miners
A quote from one ASICS guy: 'I'm a miner by day, NXT investor by night' No-one was unfriendly (and i was annoying), the worst response I got was just not very interested. If you can't get miners to hate on NXT, what is the world coming to?

Oh, yeah, i've lost count of the number of people here who hold some (or a lot of) NXT.....I'd guess that 10% have some NXT holdings. And this is the serious end of the Bitcoin world......

Bitpay gave me some stuffed toys for my kids, and said very firmly that they where NOT going to use anything other than Bitcoin for the forseeable future.
They get 10,000 mails per day (maybe I'm exaggerating) from alt-coin fanbois requesting their fave alt be used by Bitpay. So I suggest that we simply leave them be for a while, maybe check at the end of the year how they feel.

Spoke to 2 exchanges who may want to list NXT, one with a dollar/crypto gateway. Might need help with integration, but they're not asking for bribes....

This is just a sample, there's so much more good stuff to share with you lot, but I've got to be up early in the AM.

(BTW: last time I saw Berzerk, Damelon, L8orre and Chanc3er, they were heading off to a local bar with a posse of lawyers........much free legal advice coming up)

I'll try to post some pics in a bit before I hit my bed.

+1 to my uncouth friend.....

It does, indeed, appear to be mammaries of the highest possible quality.

I sometimes can't believe how far NXT has come in the last 6 months.....its hard to keep up with all the good stuff thats going on right now.
