Earlier today I saw the Facebook page of Invictus Gaming posting that The International 12 will be once again hosted by Seattle in the United States. Some comments were like, goodbye to Russian players and the visa issues. Not to delve any further into politics but I do hope that the war in Ukraine ends before the next TI.

Is this official? I am searching the web but I cannot see an announcement for where the next TI will be. If this is true, then you are right, Russian players will have a very hard time entering the US. Russian players were not able to play in Arlington because of Visa issues. It may happen again if the next venue will be in the United States.

I think it is better if the next TI will be held in South America. They are getting better in the game and it will be a big boost to them if the next TI will be held there. Hope it happens.
It is still a rumor since we cannot see an official announcement coming from Valve itself. But there could be a high chance otherwise Invictus Gaming's official page won't post it. As far as I understand, there will be bidding and voting to decide the next TI host. Maybe Seattle has the biggest money and supports so far.

I agree that South America should host a TI. But did they host a major already? Maybe they should host a major first before TI. They did a great upset last TI performing better than SEA and NA.

Its still based off rumours because the largest crowd were in Seattle so fans were assuming that Valve will take the next TI back to Seattle but honestly with the politics issue probably still ongoing for atleast 2-5 more years, I dont think that Valve will be that stupid to actually take it back to US. Most likely that it will be on any other some sort of neutral venue
Hopefully, it'll happen in a neutral venue. But I won't be surprised if Valve approves a non-neutral venue. Valve is also based in Seattle. Valve earlier fucked up The Outsiders with their DPC trying to mess up the computations which happen to be the first time afaik as Liquipedia calculations went differently. My own basic logical computations are the same with Liquipedia too.

Last weekend, another casualty of boxing happened. Aidos Yerbossynuly 16-1-11 KOs received heavy blows to his head before it was stopped in the last round. Praying for Aidos' fast recovery and hopefully, he won't become a PWD. David Morrell, 8-0-7 KOs is another potential Canelo Alvarez opponent as he holds the WBA regular belt.

after reading your post, I ran to see if there was any recent news about his health status, but apparently his family is not telling his real health status, I saw some cases like these and the family when they see that the health situation is very serious, they tend to hide it so that the press and more people know, from what I've read this fight should have ended sooner, that was Ronnie Shields' opinion... maybe if the referee had ended the fight. fight earlier the situation would not have reached this serious level and they are currently hiding his actual health status to avoid bad comments, i hope i am wrong, does anyone have any current news on how he is in health? if he is not already in a coma?

Aidos Yerbossynuly is still in an induced coma mate. Maybe the operation is still not complete. Really hoping for a speedy recovery on Aidos. This is pretty sure the end of his career but hopefully, he will wake up without a disability.

It is normal that some people will look for who to blame for accidents like this. I cannot really blame anyone because this is boxing and this is not a game. Nonetheless, maybe his head coach and his team should've stopped it earlier. In the absence of his team's willingness to stop it, referee Tony Weeks should've done better like warning his team or Aidos himself or even calling the ringside doctor since it was a one-sided fight.
2306  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Akaho - December 3 on: November 09, 2022, 06:32:06 AM

It's not that far from the last weight division where Casimero became a champ, he can still move the same and his fighting skills especially his speed is still applicable though the opponents strength might be tougher from this new weight but proper adjustments and enough trainings and sparring may let Casimero to stand out and bring the win.
Casimero always put a lot of efforts on the training when it comes there's a new opponent. Wherein he always push his limit. so for me it's not surprising that despite of the record of the opponent he can win and knock it out.. This will be more interesting to watch tbh.

Another interesting stuff I learned is that Akhmadaliev is now promoted by Matchroom Boxing a partner of DAZN. Fulton is promoted by PBC and uses Showtime and Fox as its channels. Inoue is with Top Rank whose fights are televised by ESPN. I begin to wonder if Inoue can really fight Fulton after his Butler fight. Casimero after a fallout with Manny Pacquiao's promotion signed with Probellum a close friend of PBC although I am not sure if the contract remained valid after the cancellation of his previous fights.
If this is the case then I don't think that we see Fulton vs Inoue yet, it will take a lot of time and negotiations for this 2 fighters to face each other. And if Casimero is still with Richard Schaefer, then I think him and Inoue chances to fight is higher since him and Arum have a good relationship as far as I know.

So another complicated things in this division and we might not see a unification after all with this boxing politics. Probably it's better for us boxing fans to see how Casimero will do in his maiden 122 lbs fight.
I think Casimero will overcome Akaho. I am more interested in how well Casimero beat Akaho. If Casimero only wins a close fight or a tough win then he is in danger against the Akhmadaliev and Fulton.

If Casimero is still with Probellum then I think it won't be that hard for him to negotiate with Fulton, Inoue, and even Akhmadaliev. Although he might really need to rank up first to get a shot at them.
2307  Economy / Economics / Re: Always ask bargain for prices never pay full specially now on: November 08, 2022, 01:24:43 PM
Sometimes I do this too but I have to make a quick assessment based on their looks. I do not want to bargain with these poor merchants. This is the issue I do not like about this, many people that are asked to bargain their products and services are the smaller and even poor merchants. While we cannot ask these big stable companies to lower their prices unless we are also influential or rich and asking for volumes of their supply. In my country, small-time farmers are always victimized by these middlemen and sometimes by the consumers too.

Many of us probably experienced this kind of situation. The most serious one is a close friend of mine who kept persuading me to handle his crypto investment. He even lowered the amount to $2000 as a test so I won't feel much of the burden if I ever lose a big portion of it. Profit sharing was 50/50 and I am also not responsible if ever the portfolio losses. In the end, I still refused. I understand that some people are busy and they just want someone to handle their funds. Personally, I feel more comfortable managing and risking my own money without thinking about other people.

Guys, dont forget that Artur Beterbiev is facing Anthony Yarde in 2023. This fight was originally postponed due to Beterbievs injury. Fight with Yarde, recovery and preparation period - looks like Beterbievs next fight could only happen in summer 2023. This is a very long pause for Bivol. That pause can be filled with either with Canelo (not likely) or by Joe Smith Jr. for example. Top3 in light heavy. He is also looking to recover reputation after a loss to Beterbiev and to have a rematch with Bivol. It could be a win-win solution for Smith. Bivol vs Smith could be the next fight.

After Canelo saw how Bivol made it easy against a bigger guy with probably the same power he has, he is not probably going to rematch Bivol. I think Canelo will face an easier opponent next. The WBC already inserted at number 1 an unknown Russian named Pavel Silyagin with an 11-0-5 win-loss-KO record to make it an excuse that Canelo will fight a ranked 1 opponent.

Bivol already beat Smith Jr. before and it was not even close. WBA ranked 1 (Joshua Buatsi) and 2 (Callum Smith) are also both promoted by Matchroom and are easy to set.

Last weekend, another casualty of boxing happened. Aidos Yerbossynuly 16-1-11 KOs received heavy blows to his head before it was stopped in the last round. Meanwhile, Thunder Awaken is now disbanded. 2 players were earlier signed with beastcoast but the rest of the players are now free agents.
Another top South American team Infamous also released its players earlier.
2312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: November 08, 2022, 05:46:05 AM
The odds were already available early but if only the ML odds are out for now, it's not attractive for bettors as no one would bet on Inoue with an odds of 1.02, that was insane, although he will likely win, but would your risk with that 1.02? I guess we should wait for more alternatives.
I think betting option of exact round the fight will end is the most worth to bet in this match. I don't expect any good odds about result e.g. via decision or knock out, Inoue via KO will be favorite and the odds should be low as 1.15x while decision might around 1.70x. Maybe if we bet about 1-3 rounds will end the odds will be at least @2.00x which I think it's fine to risk my money with such odds.

Is this the biggest odds gap for a boxing unification? 1.02 is way too low. But maybe rich bettors will still take advantage of this by risking huge amounts of money. A million-dollar bet on Inoue gives $20,000 which is like free money.

But what really are the chances of Butler causing an upset? I respect that Butler is also a champion but he didn't take the belt against a champion and instead gained it because it was vacated and Sultan was an 11-minute late replacement. Maybe if the fight is in the UK or at least in a neutral place like the US can slightly change the odds. If only Butler is a KO artist, some bettors will risk since the odds is very high.
2313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 08, 2022, 05:19:12 AM
Looks like Dwight Howard wasn’t able to convince the Golden State Warriors to offer him a contract. I’m a bit surprised nobody in the NBA wanted to sign him. He’s still one of the best bigs in the league in my opinion. Instead, he’ll be playing for the Taoyuan Leopards in Taiwan. He’d better be careful over there and not get himself into a Griner situation. I bet he absolutely dominates that league though.

Sounds weird too. Dwight Howard is also rich when it comes to experience. But we do not know his demands either, maybe he wants a minimum playing time. Another thing is GSW is already filled with lots of players and every slot to them matters. Maybe they prefer the younger ones because they believe they can be developed into future stars for the team.

But the other teams in the NBA though can use Dwight Howard. The Miami Heat and Brooklyn Nets for example are teams that might become a little better with Dwight Howard.
2314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I want to ask, at the end of the bitcoin and altcoin year, will the price go up on: November 07, 2022, 07:23:02 AM
I am still bearish this month. But I am feeling bullish this coming December onwards. We may have a mini bull run this December up to the first few months of next year but then the market will drop again for the last time before it starts to move up slowly as it builds momentum preparing for the 2024 and 2025 big bull run. It is still far but I am getting excited. Although I do not have the same money for my investments this time unlike my 2016 and 2021 positions, I felt like I am more ready mentally than before.

I think you don't need to wait till December, if you check the bitcoin price right now, it's up to $21k and this could be a sign of a recovery later this year. I expect this rally to take bitcoin to $25k and possibly end the year with $30k.
We will have to see if this is what happens at the end of this year since the market is still too unstable, 30k at the end of the year is a price that is on the high side if you ask me as there are still a lot of people that are holding their coins out of necessity, and as soon as there is a decent recovery they are planning on selling their coins and recover some of the losses they suffered during the previous crash, and until those people are out of the market it will be difficult for the price to go that high.

Well said, mate. Most experienced and wise traders will still sell on a small percentage of gains. I still feel that most are preparing for the next halving as the real bull run. $30k is too high this December and I don't think it happens too because if bitcoin reaches that price, it may cause a pump. My realistic high price for bitcoin this December would be around $25k to $27k. I just don't think we will be able to smash the $30kish resistance this early.

As we can see, bitcoin rose from $19k to $21k real quick and some people thought it can gain momentum toward $25k but it failed. Too many active day traders nowadays and will continue to dominate the market until the months prior to the next halving.

Let's find out. I believe he can win against Akaho. Akaho is already 36 and fought for a world title 2 times but he failed them all. This is only a tune-up fight for Casimero at 122 to shake off his ring rust and test his new weight but far to become a basis for his chance at WBA/IBF champion Murodjon Akhmadaliev and WBO/WBC Stephen Fulton.

If Casimero insists on staying at 122 after this, he will have to fight a top-10-ranked opponent in order to solidify his position late next year. Akhmadaliev is expected to fight another Filipino in Marlon Tapales early next year for his IBF mandatory defense. I think Fulton is the target of Inoue next year if he beats Butler and becomes undisputed.

Another interesting stuff I learned is that Akhmadaliev is now promoted by Matchroom Boxing a partner of DAZN. Fulton is promoted by PBC and uses Showtime and Fox as its channels. So most of us here are preparing for the next bull run. I assume OP already has a lot of suggestions here. And of course, the safest is to stick to the top 10 or 20 market cap coins. Most of my portfolio is into bitcoin and then ethereum and bnb. But as a gambler, I wanna risk some amounts to new projects and projects that are already available but still in a low market cap. I wanna taste again a x30 gain. I want another life-changing profit in the next bull run. Here are the projects that are on my list. Some of them I invested already but most of them I am still studying and analyzing if I invest or not.

1. League of Ancients
2. Synergy of Serra
3. Syscoin
4. Kompete
5. DESO
6. Immutable X
7. ROSE token
8. MINA
9. Efinity
10. Moon Beam

And as always. DYOR!!! And only invest amounts that you can afford to lose.
2318  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to improve your trading results? on: November 04, 2022, 10:35:45 AM
Great tips. It's perfect. Although there can be more tips aside from OP. And also, strategies differ depending on a trader's fit. Sticking to the plan with discipline is the safest which includes the stop loss and the take profit. I am not a fan of stop loss though. I earned a lot doing it but I also lost a lot doing it.

Do you own the blog OP? I always encounter topics about trading but they always fail to interest me probably because I already have years of experience too although I admit I am not a great trader. On this topic, I felt like OP is indeed a good trader. Upon reading this, I felt the urge to trade again. Of course, I need to start small to test my strategies if they work. I just don't like paper trading.
2319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 04, 2022, 09:19:04 AM
I can’t believe the Orlando Magic beat the Golden State Warriors. Looking at the box score it doesn’t even make sense. The big difference of the night seems to be the free throws. The Warriors shot 10/15 from the free throw line while the Magic shot 33/46. I didn’t watch the game but it certainly seems like the referees were a little bit lopsided on this one.

Even if it was a close defeat, they were supposed to win in a not-close fashion. The Golden State Warriors need a wake-up call. This is their first straight road game of the season and they went 0-4. I expect them to lose again tomorrow against the New Orleans Pelicans which will be their last of the 5 straight road games.

I actually have my bet on the Pelicans already. Although it is only an ML bet, I need to stay safe nowadays after a string of losing streaks. This young NBA season is also too unpredictable with only the Bucks and Suns doing well.
2320  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling winner identity on: November 04, 2022, 08:59:36 AM
It is not fair for the wife and of course the children because they are supposed to know everything .

but at least the  Winner has a better plans  to let the family taste that said huge win , but the identity of the person needs to be hidden from everybody aside from His own wife  Grin Grin

but that serves me something to think and there is a catch from the winner after this.

Yeah, there's a catch pretty sure. And we really do not know what kind of wife and child he has. There are plenty of women that are talkative and his wife might share their secret with her close friends and relatives. His child might be too young or even if not, the risk of sharing the information to its close friends is possible. The man won the lottery, so I just believe that he decides what he think is best for him and his family. No man would plan badly for his own family unless they're estranged or he has separated from them already.
