My father loved to gamble, and was a big Blackjack player. He was an incredibly smart guy, and always did his homework before ever doing anything at all. That was no different when it came to gambling. I remember seeing him read several Blackjack books, which was his favorite game to play. Do you guys own any good gambling books or know of any website where you can learn skills to play certain games like Blackjack, Poker etc?
A book about gambling? Hmmm that's a gamble! HAHA jokes aside, I think instead of purchasing a book, it is better to read articles online or watch videos on YouTube. There are tons of materials that are free on the internet and purchasing a book specifically for 'gambling' may not be a good idea. Like what most have mentioned, just do some proper research on Google and lots of results would show up. I'm surprised to know that there's something as gambling book, I was wondering what are those book for. Strategy? Facts or history about the gambling? I think the only interested with that are serious gamblers. As for me I am not really interested with books I just keep enjoying playing gambling site and always losing.

Some wealthy people have expressed their disdain towards Bitcoin. They believe Bitcoin is a scam or Ponzi scheme backed by nothing. Figures like Warren Buffet, and even Donald Trump himself believe Bitcoin is a sham. I'm surprised to see this, since Bitcoin brings many profit opportunities to its "hodlers". For some reason, millionaires (or billionaires) hate Bitcoin. They usually support Gold and Fiat, not wanting to try something new like crypto/Blockchain tech. Justin Sun tried to convince Warren Buffet to get into crypto a while ago, only to find that his efforts were in vain. Thoughts?  Most millionaires do believe in the traditional type of investment- which is either purchasing stocks or gold on the market. Since most of these investors got their wealth from a relatively risky method, some do not approve of investing into an instrument which is highly volatile (cryptocurrencies). Though this may be the case, some big investors are jumping on the ship as they expressed their interest towards cryptocurrencies. Imagine a millionaire purchasing several hundreds of BTC. The slightest increase/decrease on its price means gain or loss of millions of $$$ on their part. |

Of course, every concept against Gambling is very good, but not sure how effective it is as we have seen the gambling addiction numbers is still way high in every country. Not just for ordinary gamblers, but we have seen a lot of sport athletes dabbing themselves in gambling and how much people around them advise to control themselves it's going to be very difficult. Hopefully though, with this kind of programs, young adults could be successfully swayed against the potential ill effects of gambling.
I do think it is better to have some sort of initiative rather than just leaving it unnoticed. The fact that UK government has recognized the potential risks and harm of gambling says a lot about its impact on the health and livelihood of the youth on their country. With this kind of program, while it may not completely prevent gambling addiction, it provides an extra layer of security against it. Nowadays, lots of programs have been created against gambling addiction. There are also programs which promote gambling awareness especially to the youth in which their curiosity might spark their interest on it. |

All Traders has a big knowledge regards in trade they never expected to win in trade cause they know that in market the cryptocurrency in trade is Volatile and everybody know that in trading is unexpected wetheir we lose or win.
Some newbie in trade and they have not enough knowledge regards in trading after that they take a risk an they just lose, all they will say that trading is a scam ,fake, not reliable, and not Good to trade. That's why they lost their faith about trading . That's why some traders here give some advice on how to trade or before you trade we must learn how to enter in trading.
Like what I previously mentioned in similar threads, trading involves a great amount of risk. There was this article that I read before that 97% of beginner traders lose money in their first attempt while 3% only earned as much as a bank teller. Trading is definitely not a game as it requires capital and skill. The knowledge on the market will definitely help you arrive at a decision on whether to purchase/sell your coins but experience is what separates a trader from a skilled one. That is why, before you trade, make sure that you trade only the amount that you're willing to lose. If you are a beginner, never go all in. |

Though this may backfire on the side of the online gambling website, submitting/requiring KYC documents during the registration is one way in order to combat online underaged gamblers. But then again, most people avoid gambling websites that require KYC and this would definitely take a toll on the player base of a gambling website, thus, I do not see this happening in the near future. "On the internet, nobody knows you're a dog"  I think that this problem cannot be solved without total surveillance of users - this option is unacceptable, so the old proven option remains - this is the concern of the parents. Both by law and by common sense, parents are responsible for their children, so they must solve this problem. I agree with your statement. I think the curiosity of a child does wonders but they must be properly guided and briefed by their parents about gambling and its potential harm to one's future. |

To be honest I don't know what your intentions to use this buggy websites and the so called investment opportunity isn't interesting like ordinary ponzi scam, I don't even know what single minimum purchase they mean.
I also visited the website and noticed on how quickly they'd created this website- it's like no effort at all was used in the making of this. Please, do not even bother to check or to think about investing into this project. Like what Jawhead said, no information, no whitepaper, no team members were posted. It's like the developers hastily created this project as a test but they just shoot their shot hoping that one would invest into this abomination. Slot games and poker have one similarity- is that they fall on the same category as 'gambling'. Both also involve luck in playing but the latter requires some sort of skill in order to reduce the risks associated with the game. In addition, there are lots of factors that have to be considered that may turn the tide of the game in your favor in poker. Personally, slot games are my 'go-to' game as it does not require some thinking. You just pull down the lever and let luck decide your fate. Unlike in poker where it is very tedious, I value my time a lot and when I see that my budget is depleted (or if I achieved my goal), I'd leave quickly. |

Definitely! The problem with leaving cryptocurrencies behind is that it requires some sort of password in order to access the cryptocurrencies that you have. In the event that a person suddenly dies, all of those cryptocurrencies would be stuck in those wallets forever without any hope of recovering them (unless you know the password). While we are in this topic, I wonder how many wallets right now are locked with hundreds to thousands of cryptocurrencies inside as their owners have died or left them behind? I do hope that there is some hope of recovering those said wallets given the technological advancement in our day and age. |

Great compilation really. However I am sure that there has been even biggest losses or loosing strikes that have gone unnoticed. Particularly, I am thinking of the Arab Princes and Indian millionaires playing private games at private rooms where nothing that happens inside ever reaches the outside world. You would not even believe the amount of money these guys spend in a day. There is nothing that they cannot buy right there and right now, so I can only imagine what they might do if they get "hot".
Oh, that sounds intriguing. That would be a lot of money in that "private room," I agree. But why do they play, I wonder? Is it for the money or for the fun? If so, why are they in the private rooms? Though if you are truly a princess or a VIP, it would be a better choice to be in the private room just to be safe, as they cannot bet large in public. I think creating a list about the biggest losses of losing streak of people would be slightly advantageous to the people who are addicted to gambling. I also do think it is a way of convincing the public about the dangers of gambling addiction and the costs associated with it. Some millionaires do gamble for the sake of having fun due to the adrenaline experienced on betting huge amounts of money. Though some rich people do it for fun, others do it primarily for gaining profit. They would rather choose to bet against the odds even if the chance of winning is 50/50. |

All valid points. but at this stage in crypto, with how it's widespread, some people have turned this into their full-time job so for some they treat it like a full-time job where you don't get off your chair, you don't eat well, work long hours and don't sleep. Not always but sometimes.
All the points that OP mentioned are valid as it gives us a daily reminder not everything revolves around cryptocurrency. The problem stems when you trade full-time as you rely on this aspect for your daily/monthly needs. In addition, there are people who trade/invest large amounts of money and the slightest movement, either increase or decrease on its price, means gain or loss of thousands of $$$ on your part. But I do agree with the points raised by OP though it may be really difficult when you're on the receiving end. |

So that's my question, i currently have 10000 extra dollars sitting in my bank account that i am going to invest in cryptocurrency. I would like to gather opinions on how you guys would invest this type of money today in the crypto market. I probably will just invest it all in bitcoin but i am still open to other choices in alt coins as well. I know a bit about cryptocurrency since i got involved with it in 2017 but i don't follow everything about it everyday. I am more of a hodler a set and forget for the long term type of guy. so what do you guys think? i am curious thanks
I would suggest to diversify your investments by investing into BTC and to some altcoins BUT majority of your investment should be allocated to BTCs. For example, I would invest 70-80% of those CADs to BTC while the remaining would be allocated to some altcoins in the market. The reason behind this decision is due to the potential of the price of BTC skyrocketing in the future especially after the fork 3-4 years from now. In addition, ETH and XRP have shown to have some big potential on their price which is highly recommended also for long term investment. |

What determines the price of BTC is the law of demand and supply. In addition, its price is also dependent on how people purchase it on the market. That is why, BTC has been associated as the new era's "digital gold" where people have been investing it for long-term. The question is, is BTC a scam? I don't think so. With its price steadily increasing on the market and more establishments have been accepting it as an alternative currency, BTC won't be tagged as a scam anytime soon. |

Regarding the incident between Max and Lewis , lets be fair and admit that Max is reckless and always have been in this way and its clearly his fault today. I was mad at him when he walked near Lewis and did no bother to check him if we was okay as the halo just saved him from serious injured. Today , Max lost a lot of respect from me ...not that he had much.
Holy moly, this GP is definitely my favorite this year! Seeing Ricciardo winning a pole position on F1 can definitely boost his confidence in driving. But I do think we should also give credit to Bottas. He was at P19 and ended in P3. He's just really consistent and I am definitely excited to see him in Alfa Romeo this 2022. When I saw the crash between Lewis and Max, I knew that this would be my favorite GP. The level of competitiveness that those two provide are just unparalleled from what I have seen over the few years!  1

I think they are completely disregarding the disparity among developed, developing, and underdeveloped countries in terms of technological advancement and priorities.
While I do see that developed and some developing countries may be able to adapt, underdeveloped countries would be heavily prejudiced assuming that this shift is soon to be implemented. Transacting using cryptocurrencies require the use of some sort of 'technology' or device that would allow a person to trade their coins. Remember that not all countries have the luxury of shifting toward this kind of implementation as there are other problems that they are more focused on dealing first.

Multiplayer means playing with other gamblers against the house right? I honestly don’t know much about if there’s a theory on this and if its really work because as far as I know, dice game is also a luck game like roulette so your strategies wont work at all, I’d rather enjoy playing than to take this serious, it wont work.

Exchange to stable coin might be a forward answer to protect from volatility and only trade with some portion of your money to prevent from huge loss. Volatility is the purpose why people are trading with Bitcoin, since they have a chance to made good sum money rather than other trading asset. Made 1% profit each day is already good, don't be too greedy or you could loss.
This is actually a good advice. Exchanging your BTCs to a stable alternate cryptocurrency may be the key but this would involve some risk associated with its price. Though the only trade back to this exchange is the limited amount of profit one would accumulate on the process. Still, I do think that HODLing will be the way to go for long-term investments. If a person wants to focus on short-term gains, then there would be some risks also associated due to its price volatility. That is why, the key is always research and knowledge on the market. |

If you contribute in the forum enough that people will appreciate it, you would be getting lots of merits without even noticing it. I think we will see a scenario similar to Ferrari when Charles Leclerc first Joined Ferrari he didn't make it to Vettel that he is there to competing to be the number1 or he is going to be his wingman.
His results made him speak for himself finishing better than his teammates Vettel at the end of his first season not with much point difference but still he announced himself that season and in the next one Vettel was poorly underperformed due that he was told to be let go at the start of the season.
It's not going to be 100 percent the same because Toto Wolf is not Mattia Benotto and Vettel is not as cool with things as Hamilton so again Russel need to make results that speaks for itself, and maybe Hamilton gets in his mind that this is the end of the road for him and time to let someone else get to the spotlight.
All of these depend on how Hamilton Performs in the coming days. Because if Hamilton is in his prime and he keeps doing better than Russell, I don't see any chance Russell gets to be the main man. But if Russell can prove himself worthy that he can be better than Hamilton, well we are gonna be up for an insane competition in between the two. I somehow fear that if Russel gets the momentum, he may be able to outperform Lewis in some races, thus potentially creating a tension between the two. This also kinda reminds me on how Lewis and Nico started as friends but ended up as rivals until Nico's retirement. Though while the idea might be far-fetched, there is still that possibility of that situation happening again. |

2BTC for a pizza ? 10BTC for a video game ? Whats the stupidest thing you have done with BTC in the past , and how much did you spend ? This one should be interesting.  Every time I remember the time I spent most of my BTCs back in 2017, it still pains me until this day! As someone who grew up with a single father of a family of five (5), resources were scarce. When my friend introduced me this forum, I was able to participate into different campaign signatures that tremendously helped me in providing for my own study resources. Though I spent it to some books, there were times that I also spent in on buying in-game cosmetics in different games. If I was able to save it, I would have more BTCs now which could potentially buy my father a new car. |
