641  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is cryptocurrency millionaire dream a thing of the past? on: October 16, 2014, 03:05:19 PM
No, the crypto millonaire or cryptonaire dream is alive. Many altcoins are being used and there is a huge market caps in various coins.
642  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: How much bitcoins can you collect from faucets per day? on: October 16, 2014, 12:08:00 PM
Average faucet pays 100 sat. If you do 10 faucets a day that would make 10.000 sat. That is 0.0001 BTC per day.
643  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New York Looks to Slap Digital Currency With Death Sentence on: October 16, 2014, 11:44:05 AM

Remember the pain and suffering we all experienced when China banned Bitcoin last year? Well, a new form of punishment is on the horizon for Bitcoin thanks to New York’s Superintendent of Financial Services, Benjamin Lawsky. This new artificially imposed homicide might as well be called – Death by Regulation.

Imagine walking up to a New York street vendor in Times Square to purchase a foot-long hot dog and being asked to provide your name and home address. If you’re paying with cash, no need to fret. But if you’re paying in Bitcoin or some other digital currency, be prepared to answer a series of questions before enjoying your tasty treat.

I have not been in New York in a while but I doubt they would ask a series of questions. Imagine you are about to make a sale: would you start asking the customer hundreds of questions?  Huh

New York’s Bitcoin Regulations May Not Kill Startups After All

New York’s bitcoin regulations may not be as onerous as many have feared.

In a speech at Cardozo Law School in New York on Tuesday night, Benjamin Lawsky, superintendent of financial services for the state of New York, said that the state will not require digital-currency software developers to have a license, as it had previously proposed. “To clarify, we do not intend to regulate software as software or software development,” he said, according to Reuters. “For example, a software developer who creates and provides wallet software to customers for their own use will not need a license.”

Do you have details on the New York regulations?
645  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin is satanic and Satoshi is lucifer! My uncle claims! on: October 16, 2014, 11:09:39 AM
the next day(yesterday) he just came to me and said "In my life I wont ever touch this bitcoin, it is just satan's tool to create a one world currency for the one world government. Satoshi is just satan mark my words he will never be revealed or even if revealed it will be a proxy becuase this is the way satan works! from behind". He said you will become a millionaire or even billionaire if you hold on even a few bitcoins, because it is sure to take over the world.

Argumentation is wrong. Bitcoin has never been intended to be the only world currency, it's open source and many clones exist (litecoin, zetacoin, the list goes on). The reason Satoshi hide his identity is that he does not want to be killed by governments or bankers. Do you know how many bankers have "committed suicide" ?
646  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Anyone following the ebola outbreak? on: October 16, 2014, 10:39:40 AM
What is Ebola? It even exists?

Ebola is a disease of humans and other mammals caused by an ebolavirus. A virus is a small infectious agent that replicates only inside the living cells of other organisms. Each ebola virion contains one molecule of linear, single-stranded, negative-sense RNA, 18,959 to 18,961 nucleotides in length, it's a very small agent.
Five species are known, and four of these cause Ebola virus disease (EVD) in humans. Ebolaviruses were first described after outbreaks of EVD in southern Sudan in June 1976 and in Zaire in August 1976.  Many deadly virus exist, ebola virus is one of them.

647  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: After watching the documentary of bitcoin on: October 15, 2014, 08:09:45 PM
Bitcoin is global dude. How many Bitcoiners are there world wide? 1-2 Million out of 7 Billion people.

We're still in the innovators phase.

We are in the innovator phase indeed. There are still many online shops which do not accept bitcoin yet. Banks are just starting to notice bitcoin as a serious interesting concept.
Consider we had a rise of 1 to a few million in the last few years. If people start to adopt similar to say e-mail, the value could go up like crazy.
648  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Faucets don't cut it? Earn money by posting content on tsu.co! on: October 15, 2014, 08:01:40 PM
As far as my understanding about revenues from ads goes, the more traffic the site has, the bigger the revenue it may create. May I know of a definite plan that you have there in order to achieve such a revenue? How does this work? Kindly explain in detail, please. Smiley

Ad networks usually pay per click. While having a giant network like facebook will help segmenting target demographics, I can't see a correlation between size and revenue per user.

My primary plan is to have a bitcoin news channel on tsu.co, though. I have not stated that the $2500/year are my goal. While it would be nice to make a profit from that site, I'm not counting on it.
How much can one expect to earn with tsu.co ? Do you think $50 / month is possible?
649  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: is it possible to create your own DESIRED address? on: October 15, 2014, 07:57:18 PM
Yes, this is possible. I've seen some addresses that started with special characters, but it was computationally expensive to do many characters. You'll see in the vanity generator that more than 10 characters is impossible now.
650  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Keeping your butts safe on: October 14, 2014, 09:44:33 PM
If you have a fair amount of bitcoins is it stupid to keep them all on Bitcoin Core on a computer that's just about always online?

Even with a good password?

Do you think cold storage is essential?
That depends on what you consider a fair amount of bitcoin. You could store them on multiple wallets or offline.
651  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Twitter Is Suing The U.S. Government on: October 14, 2014, 03:32:45 PM
The US government's position has no legs at all in regards to any of this surveillance stuff. They get away with it because of apathy, because of lack of media attention, and because of "might is right".

The congress can simply change the law to make it legal to spy on American seeing the public has no bones.

This is exactly what congress did after 9/11.

That said, Twitter has the means and the money to see this through -- and actually get the W.

Surveillance has been done by my government for many decades. The difference being the scale of it. They get away with it because corporations and the government does not protect your privacy. That said, there could be positive outcomes from these programs as well.
652  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: my first bitcoin startup! totally confused! :( on: October 14, 2014, 03:19:26 PM
hi!
i am looking to make a bitcoin related website to earn some bitcoins.I really don't want to make dice or exchange.I have considered a bitcoin bomberman game, but i am not totally sure that will he get the attentions of users? will people play it? also its not handy.
do you know anything better than that? as i said i am not really interested in making dice or exchange. Please tell me something different that will gain maximum bitcoin users.

Implement it and market it. Users can be anywhere from 40.000 to next to zero, many factors are of influence. But if you do nothing you will certainly have zero users. It's hard to estimate the number of users for something you have never done before unlike things you have done many times. You could try to find out the traffic to other games sites.
Once your game is finished you could advertise it on various sites (including YouTube), forums, and even you could open your site in computer stores. First people have to see your product to decide to play or not play. If you could earn (or lose) many BTC then I think there will be quite a market.
653  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-10-12] JP Morgan’s Jamie Dimon: Bitcoin Will “Try to Eat Our Lunch” on: October 14, 2014, 03:12:37 PM
"When people form nations, one of the first things they do is form a currency." - Jamie Dimon

Has there ever been a currency that formed a government?

That's actually a nice thought and one that bitcoin could actually achieve. It would be great for a revolution to be born out of bitcoin which I think it has the power to do.

How many nations are being formed these days?

Pretty sure most of the currencies have been formed after most nations existed...

Not that many. In 2011 South Sudan had declared independence.  This year or the year after we may see Kurdistan added.
