701  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Know your limit on: February 17, 2023, 07:22:10 PM
Avoid ending up like a friend, who used all the money he has to invest in bitcoin and also took a loan, promising the lender that he will pay back when he gets paid in a month, after a month he never received the salary, I warned him doing this, because he has no doubt mixed investment with 'whatever it takes', is it safe to call this greed? I don't know.

He needs investment advice and that is your responsibility now. But based on his statement, doubted if he would listen to you. What I can see is that he already got an influence on what he sees on the internet bringing them a huge interest in putting his money into an investment that he is not really familiar with and does not even have experience with. Yes, that is already greediness and we know what is the possible outcome of such an idea, losing. If he won't listen, that was his decision and I believe you have done with your part already.
Greed is the most common reason why such people fail from their investments because they cannot focus on setting plans and actions for the investment to succeed, but rather they resort in thinking that it can make them rich quickly so they should put a huge amount to gain huge returns too, which I think won’t be possible if they don’t know well their investments in the first place. With this, your friend has clearly believe on crypto as a get-quick-rich scheme that’s why his actions are all based on greed and the desire to be fully profitable in the end.
702  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't have high expectations in the crypto world. on: February 17, 2023, 06:55:35 PM
I would say it depends but the condition of the market, having a high expectations will hurt you since it's very volatile. I wouldn't expect too much on my asset but if you are determined to make a huge profit in the future. Make sure you don't doubt and never regret on when you are selling your asset then reinvest after that. So, basically, all you need is a good plan whether it's plan A to Z in case the other plans doesn't work. That's all you need, determination!
There’s no wrong actually if you set high expectations for crypto, that’s unavoidable knowing the news is all over the internet that a lot of people have been making millions because of crypto. As long as you are fully determined and you have set yourself to make it happen becoming successful in crypto, that will always be possible. But you should also know that crypto has its high risks, so you should learn to manage the risks associated with crypto.
703  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading addiction, are you coping? on: February 17, 2023, 06:39:25 PM
I read a news yesterday about a Spanish rehab center that is called 'The Balance', a Switzerland-founded wellness center, located in Spain. The Rehab center helps in treating of alcohol, drugs and behavioral health addictions. Recently it is adding trading addiction to its list and I was surprised to see that. You can read more about it:

The rehabilitation center cited estimates that about 1% of cryptocurrency traders will develop an "extreme" addiction to crypto trading.
https://cointelegraph.com/news/spanish-rehab-center-adds-crypto-trading-addiction-to-services-list

I think it would be perfect to bring this trading discussion. Are you addicted to trading? I am thinking that making profit from trading or making losses, there is a chance that some traders are addicted to trading. What are you doing naturally to stay away from trading addiction?
With greed, it’s not surprising you will fall into trading addiction and lose control of yourself. But I believe the addiction is quite manageable here compared to gambling and alcohol addiction since you can control your trades especially you have no sufficient amount to trade. Except for those who have always good bankroll amount, I guess trading addiction is somehow can be predicted. But going into rehab center because of trading, for me there’s no need for that unless if you really want to.
704  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin gambling problem on: February 17, 2023, 06:18:03 PM
Hi!
A few days ago, we were contacted by a platform helping people with gambling problems.
It's an online international platform with courses, self-assessment tests, videos, and a big community of ex gamblers.
I know there are people here that gamble too much, it's easily done. If you have problems, contact them. All their services are free to use.
I thought it was a good resource to share here. You find the platform here: https://quitgamble.com.

May the force be with you!

This is not just for bitcoin gambling problem but certainly, it covers in general as long as you are in face of gambling problems these days. And the source is quite impressive as well, thanks for sharing OP. But if you think those gambling problems of yours are still manageable, then as long as you continue to be responsible of your own actions, everything will find its solutions afterwards.
705  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin DCA - always same amount or do you change depending on price? on: February 17, 2023, 05:51:33 PM
Hello all,

I currently have 0.08 BTC at an average price of $19000 and just wondering what everyone does when we have pumps like we are currently seeing.

I feel I have a great average currently but now that it has shot up to $24,600 buying now will increase my average price quite a lot.

I usually DCA weekly but thinking I may miss this week and buy more once we have another pullback.

Just wondering what everyone else does, do you buy the same amount each time or less as its more expensive?

It's always good to keep your eyes open while doing DCA. So I wouldn't suggest you to invest same amount in all market conditions. Rather, invest more when the price is less than your average buying price and invest less when it is higher. That's the wisest route to take.

Because if you keep investing same amount when the price is higher, you will risk increasing your average price. So play slow when the market is higher than your average buy price.
DCA is a good choice to improve our portfolio balance so definitely, if the price is a perfect buy because of its very low price, then its best  to buy more bitcoin and hold. However, if the price is still a good buy and yet it’s quite higher than the previous price, then it’s best to lessen our DCAing not only because the risk is high, but also there will only be small profits when you buy at already high price and then hold.
706  Economy / Economics / Re: Can one achieve financial independence through crypto currency? on: February 16, 2023, 09:57:46 PM
The popularity of crypto currencies has been on the rise in recent years and many people are drawn to them as a means to achieveing goal of financial freedom.
Additionally, the decentralization and global nature of crypto currencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum and others, have made them an attractive option for those who want to take control their financial future and want to avoid traditional banks and financial institutions. They can also provide hedge against inflation and currency devaluation.

Given these factors, the dream of financial freedom can come true by using crypto currency?
It will never hard to attain financial freedom as long as you work for it and you exert a lot of effort and determination to make it successful. No matter how risky investing in crypto, but the fact that you are prepared to take the risks and do everything that will make you successful in the future, then I think the risks involved are worth taking as long as you also set some limits and goals in the first place .
707  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Currency trading without knowledge on: February 16, 2023, 10:33:29 AM
Still, it is better to have basic knowledge of what you've stated above rather than jumping into it, but there are really newbies who want to earn fast and easily, like overnight. A trading bot is also not that reliable, and if you purchase one, it is better if you build it from scratch, as you know where it goes and what the problem is, rather than buying it and then not knowing what happens. No matter what move we choose, learning is the very first step to being successful.
They say knowledge is power, so eventually we won’t be successful in all our undertakings if we don’t have gained knowledge and understanding. Most especially for crypto trading as it involves a lot of risks and we can’t minimize those risks if we only trade based on greed and emotions, not on knowing how to analyze the market and create trading market indicators.
708  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teaching children Bitcoin is not in vain on: February 15, 2023, 09:47:26 PM
Bitcoin is digital currency that is being widespread almost all the continent, and some people notice the development of Bitcoin very late, and it enables some people not to invest in Bitcoin in far back 2009 and 2010. Therefore i noticed that teaching children of Bitcoin in early stage and mostly children that is up to ten years and above, inculcating the functions and the importance of Bitcoin in children will make them to develop widely with the knowledge being inculcates with them already. I think that Bitcoin is good to be known from youthful age. I have noticed that assuming so many of us notice the important of Bitcoin in time we would have all be a partial millionaire if I'm not mistaken of being a full millionaire.
We are already at a virtual age so definitely, we should start dealing with virtual technologies like bitcoin. And these young children also deserve to know about it because they will be our future leaders and future millionaires in the next coming years. But we should also see to it that learning bitcoin for them should also be more interesting and entertaining on their side, and not just the traditional way of teaching because definitely, it will only make them less interested and do not want to learn about bitcoin anymore. So if we can teach them bitcoin and then associate some playing too, maybe that will work for them and help them learn bitcoin the easier way.
709  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 13, 2023, 10:14:17 PM
Yeah, just realized that there will be another better team that will take him out. And that with that, he'll be able to move along if ever the rumors are true if he's going to be back in Clippers.
Hopefully clippers will be able to to have him, and I also read some article that CP3 wants Melo on the team. How realiable is that?
I've also read that thing about CP3 telling that Suns should also acquire Melo. It's written in some articles and sports publishing websites.

I think it's quite reliable enough to consider that Chris Paul indeed asked the Suns management to acquire Carmelo Anthony in the free agency as this news has been spreading throughout almost every sports outlet. I mean, we couldn't blame the man because he is indeed feeling that this might be his last chance to get at least one ring before he starts considering a retirement as he's already approaching his 40s as well.

And I don't view Melo as a liability because the man can still provide good contribution coming from the bench and while it's evident right now that the Suns is lacking role players before they gave a big portion of the roster just to get KD.
710  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gervonta Davis vs Ryan Garcia on: February 13, 2023, 09:48:27 PM

What I don't like though is that those boxers who throw below the belt insults against each other, they shouldn't allow themselves to talk about someone's family or wife or kids. Lets the trash talking between this two fighters that's it. It could be personal attack like what Ryan said on Davis years ago, or Tank accusing Ryan or taking some drugs because he looks huge right now or talking about his mental health excuses. So shots have been fired in the media already, but in the end we will see who's mouth can back the talks when they face each other in April.

I understand that with this chatter boxers support the hype around the fight, maybe it's even part of their duties that managers require of them (I'm not sure about that), but I do not support this. For me, the inability of a person to keep his mouth shut is a sign of a small mind. If you are a real champion, then all that is required of you is to enter the ring and show your best, everything else is superfluous. Muhammad Ali, Tyson, Lewis each showed their strength in the ring, but none of them wasted their strength outside the ring on empty chatter.
Same with Pacquiao too, he’s not fond of talking shitty words against his opponents, or even touch the personal lives of his opponents, but only give his best shot when inside the ring to beat his match. Let the performance talks, not the mouth. That way, whether you win or lose at the end of the fight, at least you have not harm others from your own words.

Certainly, that's what separates them from being an ordinary boxers to a legendary boxer as they don't often open their mouth just to play with their opponent's minds or to show that their are courageous for provoking their foes but in reality, it's them who are like a scared kid because when time comes that they need to showcase their talents, most of them failed and very much afar from what they talked when the bout was still approaching.
711  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 13, 2023, 09:14:18 PM
Just look at how distribute the offense of the Magic are. 6 players in double-digits. I believe that when this is the kind of offense a team has, they're very hard to stop because you don't know who you will be focusing with. Quite unfortunate that they lost to the Heat on their home, but it's a close one and I thought that they will win against them again. Anyway, I'll try to bet again on the Magic depending on their opponent/s.
Magic is a good team this season, so I will not regret backing them every time they'll play.

Well, they lose against the Heat, but it was a close game, they were actually leading, they just have some mistakes that they need to learn to be a matured team. It's a young team but they are competing at a highest level. Anyhow, congratulations to the backers of the heat, they won and cover.
I confess, Magic is being a team that I'm "looking at it with different eyes" it seems that game after game it is improving...

My question is, will the Magic make it to the playoffs this NBA season? Or could this be something difficult to happen?
No they will not this season. Give this team at least 2 years to develop. Those who will step up and become an all-star are the ones that will carry the team and the ones who has little to no improvement in the span of 2 years will be traded.

The Magic is a young team and they are showing potential already. Defeating those top teams isn't an easy thing to do especially when you are at the bottom spot. I mean defeating 1 or 2 can be done by these bottom teams, but to defeat the Celtics twice, Sixers and Nuggets? They are showing that they can do it, and they only need time to develop. Offense is distributed. It's hard to stop it, and it's good thing that Fultz is starting to be a better player already after many thought that he was the #1 draft pick, but a bust.

The team might go and play as far as the Play-in tournament but I think that will be their limit because even if they can manage to bring the team towards the playoffs, I highly believe that will be eliminated as early as 1st round. Besides, this is not their time yet, I mean, just look at the Boston Celtics, they surely haven't got an easy journey as what they got right now. Just like the other teams, they started at the bottom, developing their strengths and cores before they can able to compete with the heavy teams in the league.

And then, they also got the #1 pick this season, Paolo Banchero, the kid is already playing impressively. He just got to have enough exposures, so that he can adjust more and help Fultz from lifting the team.
712  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Artur Beterbiev vs Anthony Yarde on: February 12, 2023, 08:57:56 PM
I think it's better for Beterbiev to fight Bivol first before hunting down Canelo. Career wise, it's a better move since he will be going for the unification fight as Bivol has the only belt that is not in his position.

But then again, there is one stumbling block here which is the two parties have different network affiliations, Beterbiev and Top Rank are in ESPN, while Match Room and Bivol is tag with DAZN.

So that will be the biggest issues with Bivol/Canelo/Hearn vs Beterbiev/Arum.

Hopefully they can settle down, I think Hearn and Arum has work before in the past and maybe they could settle on this own, let it be in ESPN for me, I think it has more coverage as it is already a established name not just in boxing but in any sports.

And then have Hearn cover the PPV/live gates or even the split of the purse.

At least in the middle so that we will see a unification in the Light Heavyweight. I don't know when is the last time that we have a unified champion in this division.

They could make arrangement like that, but the thing is that Beterbiev has 3 of the belts and I would say that he will be the A-side in the negotiations if ever they pursuit this fight, all Russians, although it's more of the issue with Bivol because there were news that his money was put on hold when he beat Canelo because of the pressures of the Russian invasion against Ukraine. As for Beterbiev, he has been living in Canada already prior to the war.

But in any case, fans wanted to see all Russian fight for all the belts in the LHW.

And both fighters have shown intention already specially Beterbiev because that is one belt that he needs to become of the best LHW in this generation.

Eddi Hearn shouldn't budge in and demand like he and Bivol is the A-side, just let Bob Arum handle things differently because ESPN is much more established and has more affiliate than Hearn and besides, Bob Arum and Beterbiev is on the A-side because they have much to offer as his boxer is the unified 3-belt champion of the Light-heavyweight division. Bob has said before that this fight has no struggles if he will organize it.

But then again, here comes the UN pressuring all Russian athletes even if they have no direct connection with Putin's invasion towards Ukraine. Why couldn't they let the entertainment industry have their own way Huh Now, the governing bodies want Beterbiev to fight Callum Smith instead of Bivol just because of the issue.
713  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Shuichiro Yoshino April 8 on: February 12, 2023, 08:26:38 PM
Shakur will be the favorite here, its also a home court advantage so this will be a big challenge for Yoshino, both boxer are undefeated so this will be a big pressure to them. Shakur seems to be more fit and active though, if you’ll see his previous matches his aggressiveness is there and a deadly punches are there as well. Who ever wins here will face another big challenge on their next match either with Haney or Loma, so better for them to do their best on this match.

Not sure if there is pressure on Shakur, yeah, he needs to win this fight because it will be in hometown, but he will be facing a somewhat unknown boxer from Japan. I'm not saying that Yoshino is not going to win, but basing on the experience alone of Shakur and Yoshino not exposed, it might be very hard for him to win in US, in my opinion. Yes, whoever wins here, is assured to face the winner of the Loma vs Haney fight. So this is in the mind of Shakur since he wanted to break into the picture and become a champion in another weight class.
Actually both are having 'noisy' names, there's just this barrier between local and international viewers. Yoshino quite had a good record for being undefeated in his local while Shakur is as well but with foreign fighters. This is where difficulty with bettors measure comes from. In general, the japanese boxer's statistics would be somehow set aside since international record is believed to be having a bigger weight not only in sports industry. But this is boxing we are talking about and anything could happen once both fighters starts in the middle of the square. Both has their own trainings and tactics to win over their opponent. So what's more likely to happen , and as we can see in this topic, Shuichiro is just the underdog in this match.
I'm not seeing it as a difficult though, for sure it's easy for bookies to make Shakur their favorite even if the Japanese is also a champion. It's been gauge on their experience and again, Yoshino might be good in Asia but the centerpiece of boxing is in the US.

Underdog means that you are treated to have low chance of winning.

And even in this community, we all know that Shakur will likely take this W.

And also means that Shuichiro Yoshino chances are not that good against the world champion who vacated his belt because of weight issues, actually, I see this fight as more of Shakur's debut and highlights before he go and pursue the generals of this division. It's no doubt already that Shakur will get defeated in this bout before he can chase titles.

No offense for the Japanese fighter but this bout looks like a good tune-up fight to prepare Shakur for a much bigger bout in the future. In short, just a stepping stone.

Yes, this will be Shakur's debut and we are eager to see him at this division, he has been telling us all that he wanted to move up at 135 lbs because that's where the challenge is, a lot of good names that he wants to fight.

Anyhow, it's going to be a win-win though for Yoshino, also his chances are slim to none, at least he will get to travel and exposed his talent in the US soil. And so even if he losses, who knows, maybe he can still get a fight there, just like Nakatani, who he beat recently. And with the emergence of Inoue in the big US market, for sure there will be a lot of Japanese too that might followed next. Similar to what Pacquiao did to many Filipino boxers when he was at his prime. At least they are given the chance with the likes of Mark Magsayo and Casimero and many more. So this might be the case for Japanese boxer in the next coming years.

And if I recall it correctly, Shakur almost got a fight with the champion directly, Devin Haney but I think Bob Arum doesn't want that for now and chose Loma instead to have the chance because it's much more profitable as people are calling for it since he got back again in the ring.

Speaking of Japanese boxers that will follow Inoue's footstep, I just knew that his younger brother, Takuma Inoue, has been fighting at bantamweight already years before Inoue made his statement to climb the same weight class. Takuma got the WBC Interim title last 2018 but has been defeated a year after as he chased the WBC regular belt. But unlike Naoya, it seems that Takuma haven't got his older brothers talent.
714  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Caleb Plant vs David Benavidez on: February 12, 2023, 07:53:11 PM
And probably this is where all the beef started between Caleb and the Benavidez:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5nVh_HLGI-k

As you can see there is confrontation between the two groups years ago, it was Jose Benavidez in the video but David is right behind.

And so the animosity between the two runs deep and that's why David is eager to get his hands on Caleb for slapping someone in his team, in could be Jose that got hit if I'm not mistaken.

Ok, we don't know what's the reason behind the Benavidez storming Caleb's Plant side on this one. Yes, probably there is a meaning behind all of this. Fortunately for us, we will witnessed it when they face each other in March.

No more excuses in this one, both have disrespected each other though, Caleb swinging and then the Benavidez trying to protect themselves. So let's see how this two is inside the ring and try to take off each other's heads.

I see, now I understand it because I thought that there was no rivalry or dispute between two camps before their discussion about the fight has started.
But as you guys are saying, it seems that this is quite personal for David Benavidez because Caleb Plant laid his hands on his comrade and we know what will happen next because the kid will thrive hard to give his comrade a revenge. This is getting interesting! Grin
715  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 12, 2023, 10:30:37 AM
Suns is what Luka look up as a biggest opponent to defeat since they have Durant, CP3 and Booker which can deliver good performance according to their role. Suns is really a big problem since their rooster now is so deep so I guess other team also preparing for them since they are not so easy compare when Durant is on Brooklyn since they really have problem on chemistry and execution at that time.

We still need to confirm that because Durant failed to deliver on Brookly even if they are tandem with Kyrie. Durant is already not on his peak compared before so I’m now not that confident on the team he belongs unless he delivers already. He is monster when he is on GSW because his teammates is capable on carrying him on his bad game.

Booker and CP3 sometimes not that reliable if they have a bad game like what happened on last playoffs when they are beaten by Mavs. I think Nuggets and Grizzlies are more scarier than Suns with unproven Durant on their roster. They gave up a lot of there roster just to get Durant so I’m sure there will be a repercussions on this trade which we can find out once Durant play in actual.

Make no mistake when Durant is back on the court that team is the team to beat.  Durant was playing with scrubs in Brooklyn when kyrie wasn't on the floor.  With cp3 setting the table who you guarding book, Durant?  Gonna single cover ayton down in the low post.  Going from bridges to Durant was an insane upgrade at the 3/4 spot.

Yes and surely, that will be a nightmare for the team that will face them in the game especially if the roster of Phoenix Suns is all healthy and without any struggles on their past injuries. But that's just the good side and they are really hard to beat if that happens but how about the opposite one? Or let's say that Durant will be injured, I guess they don't have any good replacement when that happens now because they gave too much in-exchange for KD. But for the sake of entertainment, it will be fun if all teams that will be playing post-season are all healthy so that we can see an interesting games.
716  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 12, 2023, 04:21:14 AM
We have got a couple of enticing fixtures for tonight in the NBA, and the first one being between Philadelphia 76ers and Brooklyn Nets.

I like the 76ers -1.5 @ 1.96 Odd, that's all things being equal, but I still have zero information as to why the odds are this even, because I'd expect the 76ers to be clear favourites if they have an all healthy squad regardless of the Nets being having home court advantage or not, they're still pieces trying to fitting together, so I'd take the 76ers here early at -1.5 with the hope there are no major absentees for them.

I'll tail you with that mate, -1.5 now @1.97 is already very attractive. Yeah, with Cam Thomas and Spencer as the new face of the Nets, they might be good, but I think Sixers has enough personnel to win this game.

Magic vs Heat - Magic is one of the most dangerous team right now, and they are the underdogs again in their homecourt so ML @2.05.

So I will also try to parlay this two = 4.04.

Almost mate, the Heat vs Magic was quite intense. I don't know what was wrong with the Magic today because suddenly, they lost their consistency after having a good lead in the 1st half and they kept on making mistake which the Heat took that as an advantage to chase them down until the game went Overtime. This time, the Heat didn't gave them a chance to lead and ended the game in their favor.

Sixers handicap fully covered, congratulations to all who got their bets correct.

Update: Los Angeles Lakers vs Golden State Warriors = LAL wins (109-103)

I was fortunate enough to ride with the Lakers today, glad to see them winning again and just like what I've expected, the new additional of the Lakers will be having a good debut.

Jarred Vanderbilt and D'Angelo Russell registered a good contribution on the game today as well as Rui Hachimura for having double digits. But the main highlight was Dennis Schroder, although I didn't expect it because I thought that AD will be the one who will dominate most. Overall, it was a good game for the purple and gold.
717  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how many times have you intended to stop gambling on: February 10, 2023, 07:04:52 PM
It's pretty common for those gamblers who lose a lot. I am sure that most of us hear this coming from a gambler who has intense emotions due to losses and is complaining to the casino that it is not fair, but after the emotions calm down, you see him again depositing money, and after winning some games, he wouldn't be saying anything. Though mostly the reason for this is that they are just addicted or they just can't quit due to their need to earn money.
You will only decide to stop gambling if it’s making your life unhealthy because of huge losses you keep on enduring from gambling. But when you start winning again and slowly recovering your losses, your decision has shifted again and instead of quitting gambling, you will just continue to gamble more hoping you can chase more profits instead. Yes, this is very common to gamblers out there, and even myself is not an exception.
718  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Share Tips For Newbie Traders on: February 10, 2023, 10:45:53 AM
Trading can be a lonely and boring business at some point because, you do not have anyone to talk to and are just alone with your computer, phone, or tablet in your room, just trading. And many newbies may at some point think that they are probably wasting too much of their time. If you are in this situation right now, I want you to know that you are not wasting your time.

If you are an experienced trader reading this, how did you know that you were not wasting your time trading at the time when you felt this way?

Yes it's quite boring because it's not easy, but I know I'm not wasting my time in trading since I'm fulfilling my goal here. We have the same goal and that is to be profitable, actually it doesn't need to be fun as long as you make money as you can consider trading as your money machine and have fun outside your trading life.

Just focus on your dreams, and eventually you will realize that it's okay to sacrifice now so in the future you'll just spend the rest of your life having a vacation anywhere you wants.
Actually, there’s no easy way and enjoyable task to success. Everything is done the hard way and with full of efforts. So do not be upset if trading is somewhat boring because you will only feel it at the beginning, but when you’re in the verge of success, trading somehow becomes challenging on your part and very exciting. And in the end, you will only realize that all those boring days, hardwork and determination finally paid off because you are already reaping the fruits of your success.

I don't think it's a bad idea to educate your children about it since it's your choice and going to be your decision as a parent, but the main thing that I think that would be beneficial to focus on is why your family is working with cryptocurrency use when it's banned in your country. Do you think you can get in trouble knowing that idea? Would you want to bear that with your children? I don't think it's a good idea knowing that it's banned. Yes, you can educate them about it, but when you are talking about the legality and how it would work, it's definitely going to be a battle.

There are many legal people/police around us if they get any information about Bitcoin from the mouth of children then our elder family members will face many problems.
I think it's better that you don't involve them if you guys are on the verge of getting in trouble.
I cannot imagine living this life working on a certain thing that is considered illegal in one’s country. Maybe for now your family will be safe as no one has reported it yet, but if someone in your neighborhood will suspect that your family is still working on bitcoin, I guess your family will surely be in trouble. So my advice is that never teach the children for now as they can be very honest when asked by the officers roving around if your family is really into bitcoin.

... If you have any advice for my friend, please let me know. Thank you.

Having a steady source of income is something we all want, and no one wants to be unemployed or lose a job that helps us feed our families. But like you said, in life, there are often unexpected things that happen, so having a stable income is not enough, but it is necessary to have one or more savings for those emergencies. That's also why I disagree with some people using their entire wealth to invest in bitcoin without any savings. They think it's smart to do so, but if the unexpected happens and the investment gets stuck, they're stuck.
In case of OP’s friend, he should consider first getting a stable job regardless if it’s low paid as long as it can provide their needs. But getting a job alone is not enough, he should have other side jobs that can give him additional income and so he can save too for their emergency funds. So that in case his wife will need a surgery later on, he can use the funds intended for emergency funds, or any other unforeseen events that are beyond their control.
