721  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: May 07, 2017, 05:28:38 PM
Dash is in a downtrend relative to BTC and other alts. That is because it made a large leap in price before the others.

I expect the relative weakness to continue for a while yet. Could go either way after that.

722  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: May 05, 2017, 11:21:11 PM
DASH has a lot of downward pressure on it....

Keep it low,  ride LTC up, and then buy more Dash, then remove pressure.     This has been done time and time again...  or just hold and everything will be just fine.  =)

Traders are not on DASH right now, so price is good. Not going down, maybe a bit.

Stable price is good. Encourages users. Hopefully will stay steady in $80 to $110 range for a few months now.
723  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: May 04, 2017, 11:04:25 PM
I have had a change of heart I am no adamantly pro Dash, super uber mega bullish on Dash. Dash is the best thing since Bitcoin.

Dash is revolutionary with masternodes. I hold 30 Dash I hope to be millionaire by 2020. I think that's possible.

Not very likely. If Cryptos rise that much, then the whole monetary system would be screwed, and a million bucks will not buy anything like it does today.. If you aim to be a millionaire, you might need an investment of 100k plus, in an optimistic scenario.

Ether price per unit just passed Dash BTW.  Diversification would be wise.
724  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★★ GameCredits - The future of in-game monetization ★★★ on: May 02, 2017, 08:18:20 AM
A pump would be very bad news for Game.

Slow and steady price is very important in a real-use currency.  Sharp increases caused by speculation lead to an overhang of sellers, and the consequent falls deter actual users in  a big way.

Sometimes currencies can recover after a very long time, but often they never do.
725  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★★ GameCredits - The future of in-game monetization ★★★ on: May 01, 2017, 10:29:46 PM
Actually it's the biggest discount with GAME in the last week but it's still lower than all the combined discounts in the first three weeks.

1st week: 15% discount on all currencies + 7% discount for investments made with GAME
2nd week: 10% discount on all currencies + 7% discount for investments made with GAME
3rd week: 5% discount on all currencies + 7% discount for investments made with GAME
4th week: Only a 10% discount on investments made with GAME

just FYI, since this was before the recent email update:
15% discount on all currencies + 7% discount for investments made with GAME has been extended til end of this week. Buy with GAME for the maximum discount (22% total!!!)

Why the change ?
726  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: May 01, 2017, 09:05:55 PM
DASH DUMP LIKE THERE IS NOT TOMMOROW??

What ? Did it drop to $30 (or lower) ?

That is my idea of 'dump like no tomorrow'

Then again, it was $30 just a few months ago, so even that would not be so bad
727  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Zdash Rebranding To HUSH [Equihash][Community Project] on: May 01, 2017, 05:23:52 PM
Better think of opening a new thread with the new brand details and lock the existing one...

Too early for new thread there is a lot of work to do on graphics / links / websites etc.. when that is ready we'll do that.
we do not want to create any more confusion than necessary.

Will you guys be changing the domain name or is that going to stay the same? Also will you be releasing the coin so it shows up as a new coin on Coinmarketcap?

We will update the information on CoinMarketcap. The link for now is the same, but will change ASAP.

Good. List the priorities. Rebranding involves many tasks, and can take months, even for a large team.

ProtectedCash

ProtoCash

Not used by another project.
729  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Zdash Private Secure Transactions [Equihash][Community Project] on: May 01, 2017, 11:09:57 AM
In order to come up with a new name, we must be aware of the Key Features distinguishing ZDash from other altcoins, as well as the features which it has in common with other coins.

Additionally, a road map of future (obviously provisonal) projects and use cases would be useful.

Suggestions please, to summarise features and future plans in a succinct post.
730  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: May 01, 2017, 10:58:36 AM

I assume you are talking about a classic bubble pattern in which the second peak is lower than the original and then price declines for substantial time afterwards. I also have this in mind as a possibility but given the overall way in which crypto is gaining in value (whilst percentage for bitcoin is declining) and given Dashs stature. I also think there is a good likelihood it just keeps going up. Which will also bamboozle many bitcoin diehards who keep expecting the 'alt bubble' to burst.

It remains to be seen how it will play out. Fun times.

Yes, remains to be seen . The chart pattern holds only insofar as all patterns are 'temporary'.

The inference I draw from that chart is that Dash is due for a pause in price appreciation. Whether or not the big, long term trend continues, is not necessarily related to the medium term chart indications.

Most ppl here hold to the big-picture view that Cryptocurrency represents a long term rotation away from fiat, and thus it would be risky to sell out at any time (let alone short !).

Trading with that mindset must, of necessity, be merely a matter of adjusting weightings between cryptos.
731  Economy / Speculation / Re: Nights Watch by Afrikoin on: May 01, 2017, 09:13:15 AM
Are you hoping to make it (the loss) back by trading alts?

I would advise caution, alt season is getting close to it's climax.

Yes, thats right.

This is very similar to late 2013, with the whole Altcoin space pumping in relays, and BTC hanging around ath. Huge profits are easy to come by, but they are ephemeral : lots of ppl think they are great investors, but a rising tide is raising all boats.

We know how it will end.

The prime imperative now is to pick the survivors of the future downwave, and to not be invested in the alts which will eventually go to zero (the vast majority will).

There is still a bit of time to select and switch, and some spectacular rises will draw in the unwary. The bear market, when it comes, will be long and brutal.

732  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: May 01, 2017, 12:00:07 AM
Was there any news/releases etc. explaining the recent spike in Dash? Or is it just a last pump before the fall?

Or is it a correction before further rises?  Shocked

Predictions about price are usually confounded.

However,  I put the chart case above, as that has just shown a classic pattern, combined with falling volume. It would also make sense, if you look at the way alts are moving. Each coin goes through price cycles. Dash was one of the first large ones to make a big move up (looking at the last 3 months), and is therefore due for a breather whilst others catch up.

Textbook chart pattern. Quick pump to peak 10% below last ATH. Then slow drift down.

That is a classic failed retest, normally leading to a long downtrend (or at best sideways drift).

Substantial fall in trade volume confirms that as well. Dash had a good run, but it is over for now.

734  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: GameCredits Speculation on: April 30, 2017, 11:20:23 PM
Ahh so reason why GAME went down instead of moving up as what more predicted. It is because MobileGo ICO failed to fix the GAME investment option? What is the update of it? Is it fixed now?

Price dumped due to overload on crowdsale servers at start of the sale. Price reached ATH and subsequently fell back down as people sold when they saw the MobileGO sight out of operation. Problems have since been fixed, and price is rebounding. I expect it to continue to increase until day 6 or 7 as people are still jumping to buy in during the first week. Lull in price/volume for next two weeks and another rebound last week as 10% GAME bonus goes into effect for week 4.

What do you think the effect will be , during the next few months, from Game to be sold after the crowdsale ?

I know the stated intention is to sell privately, not on exchanges, but it will depend on the level of demand even so, and the amount is open ended (1.5 Million so far, but has no upper limit)
735  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] E-CurrencyCoin Thread [CryptoBank Development] on: April 29, 2017, 11:34:27 PM
Everybody seems to like coin exchange.io. I see a sell wall of 6.15BTC for Ecc. Lets make it an 10+ BTC sell wall, lol

Good to see a new exchange Smiley

Not sure what your point is here? If the coin is worth 1 Satoshi then the wall should be taken out. If it's not worth 1 Satoshi then it won't. It's simple price discovery.

Price discovery is not possible when the floor is OneBTCsatoshi

The coin needs to be listed in LTC or DOGE

Obviously nothing we will see in the next day, week, or year... but if GAME overtakes the mobile gaming industry? I could see it. That might be a moon shot but the potential is certainly there. However, I wouldn't go so far as to say $50 USD is "for sure".

I didn't see anyone talk about one fact : does player are ready to pay 1 GAME many dollars ?

They will use it, in the future, if its succeed, from one game to another one, but when they buy something, as gold or any stuff to play, they like to have many gold/silver/items for a few USD. Will they be ready to buy 0.02 $GAME (for example if price reach xxx$). Not sure players will agree/understand to buy decimal.

What you are saying is that it would be better if there were more units ie 1BN rather than 60M... because people like to have more smaller monetary units, even though cryptocurrencies are highly divisible.

i didn't say it would be better, I ask, its not the same thing. And my question was about gamer.

Individual Gamers viewpoint will vary. Yes, generally people like to have more units at a lower value, than less units for the same total.

In the wallet, a counter which shows milliGame units (like in the Bitcoin Electrum wallet) might help overcome that.

lol how long do you think 800k Game Credits will last all suppliers. Once the store launches demand will be so high 800K Game will be eaten away before you know it. Plus I bet a lot of these OTC deal will be to investors.  Either way the team will sell the Game at some point whether its OTC or on an exchange... at least this way we can guarantee they wont negatively effect the price of Game.

It will be a lot more than 800k ..Already nearly a Million after 3 days. The biggest amount might come in the last 7 days : there is the greatest discount then !

Anyway, whatever the amount, it will be a good move to distribute it amongst active supporters and devs : not too much with investors or speculators. Investors (Speculators even worse)  incentive is to make a profit ie sell at some point. They are  more passive, whereas devs and promoters are incentivised to more action.

I expect (and hope) that the price will not move ahead for a while. A pause is healthy : real development is always what is needed most.
739  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: GameCredits Speculation on: April 27, 2017, 09:50:37 AM
Game price has had a good run, but acceleration in price always leads to a reversal. Long term trend still good however.

Look at the long term trend line : price is far above that, and will start to drop back soon, probably just before the Mobile Go ICO.  A lot of the Game subscribed for MobileGo will be sold back into the market, so there is going to be a  substantial dip in the next 6-8 weeks.

My rough guess :

$1.1 by April 25th.

$0.55  by May 25th.

$0.85 by July 25th.

$1.3  by September 25th.

1st one was correct. (1.08$ if I remember). No sure about second one, when the ICO will end they should start marketing (that's what they said).

After the Crowdsale the first effect on price will be the sale of Game which was subscribed to MobileGo. This is 700000 after 2 days, but I would not be surprised to see it at many millions.

Marketing will impact on price late in the year.

I am thinking I may have been optimistic in my guesses, but am still looking to buy more Game around 0.0004  (c.50c at prevailing exchange rate)...depending on how the Crowdsale turns out. There are always some unexpected issues in these projects !

740  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★★ GameCredits - The future of in-game monetization ★★★ on: April 27, 2017, 08:33:14 AM
Is there a cap on the amount of funds the MobileGo ico intends to raise? Or is the ico uncapped trying to raise as much as possible. I like to invest but don't want to invest in an overfunded project that will not have much growth potential.
MobileGo doesn't have a cap. But there's good reason. This isn't the average crowdsale. 50% of funds raised are used to market the mobile store which already exists (https://play.gamecredits.com/). The more gamers we acquire at an average marketing cost of 1.5$ per gamer, the higher the revenue. 10% of all profit from the store is used to buyback and burn mobilego. So more funds means higher revenue, and greater buyback. If we raise 10 million. We very well could have 5 million or more gamers (the average gamer recommends 3 friends). We're talking massive opportunity in the mobile gaming sector which accounts for over 50 billion in sales.

There surely must be a cap ?

What would be the consequenses if, say, 20million Game was subscribed for MobileGo ?  What about say 200k Bitcoin ?

These figures may not be so crazy far fetched as they might seem,  speculation on crowdsales is growing exponentially atm.

The MobileGo Crowdsale Dashboard is working well. Good quality planning !
