741  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★★ GameCredits - The future of in-game monetization ★★★ on: April 27, 2017, 08:17:49 AM
Mobilego ico accept GAME for their ico, I'm sure its one of the reason till the 1st day ico start.
GAME holder sell them to go into mobilego

Also most alt have ATH this month, so now they dump.
Yup. price dump on Game was expected. most of GAME holders are moving to Mobilego. so they are selling their coins either investing them to ICO.
thats why you are seeing a big price dump.. don't know if the price will recover or not.

As expected. I posted about this on April 19th (on the speculation thread, where price talk should be).

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1873396.msg18651360#msg18651360

There will be a large amount of Game that has to be sold after the ICO, so the price will stay weak for the next 6-8 weeks.

What will the company do with the GAME they get from people investing with Gamecredits into Mobilego?

That is an interesting question. This is the reply :

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1266597.msg18662465#msg18662465

There looks as if there could be millions of Game to be sold.
742  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: April 27, 2017, 12:33:04 AM
Is dash dead?

Thats a very philosophical question. Is dash dead? Well its not alive in the sense of what we normally consider a living entity, a living, breathing creature of flesh, but is it dead? I'll have to ponder on that. Thanks for the stimulating idea.

I mean it looks like the trading volume is dead ..developin is going well ..but when it comes to trading is dying and pretty stable price after the huge dump...it sime NEM will surpass dash on coinmarketcap and put it down .

Ok I'll play along without being flippant. Huge volumes on the run up is to be expected, the market got a bit over exuberant and had a bubble. (Or if you believe mastertrader, he did it all himself except with his crew cos he owns the market and stuff, its not a game) But I digress. On the way down the volume was again quite high this time with sellers. With price beginning to flatten out volume is now low, maybe the market is running out of sellers? But people are hesitant to jump in without confirmation which way the market is going. The next high volume moves will probably be big but which direction, up or down. In short its normal market behaviour, no Dash is not dead, just pining for the fjords.

Quite right. Direction of the next move is uncertain.

Measuring it (death) another way, the frequency of posts here has dropped precipitously.  The frequency of intelligent posts has dropped so much that I feel compelled to reply to any that appear    Cheesy
743  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CRYPTO BULLION (CBX) | Inventor of PoSP! on: April 25, 2017, 10:06:10 AM

I find these remarks unfair.

Any coin needs some community participation, with small coins like CBX, people can't just buy, sit on the sideline and expect some big reward. Doesn't happen that way, everybody has to pitch in. Good news is, the reward can be quite big (could have been).

I mean, CBX has a lot of good things going in it's favor; CBX was not designed on a whim: it was a calculated effort, perfected over years of development.

At least showing up at exchanges and helping to maintain a decent price on dump days; or trying to help confirming the new increased value following some outstanding good news (there has been many good news, with CBX: new algos, new wallets, programs, WBIP, mobile, Promo-cards, lottery: all exciting stuff, all too frequently met with crickets). If not getting involved financially, at the very least, cheer, post on the official threads, share with others.

The CBX development team is composed of human beings;`they need some kind of motivation too.  Not writing on threads, not supporting the coin, crickets, not spreading the good news, will get you the current state of things. A coin listed as a shitcoin, a coin that deserves a hell of a lot more.

Mabe this can be the fair lesson to be learned from the CBX experience: money doesn't come knocking at your door, you have to do something; whether you follow a system, a franchise, or doing your own thing, you will have to pitch in, success won't happen by itself. Just do something, talk to someone about it. Don't do like what most of you did with CBX: do something.

Otherwise, that dream you have will fail.

The active ppl and devs are already committed to other altcoin projects, and will tend to join the growing ones in a snowball effect. That is the way a very few winners will take all.

It is a 24hr/day job just keeping up with a few coins, and the ones that have multiplied in price many times over in the last few weeks are going to attract even more interest, leaving the rest to wither.

There might be one or two sudden recoveries, but the odds are long against that now.

I know many really competent ppl working at full capacity, who are having to decide where their efforts are best rewarded between several $10m+ market cap coins, so the lesser ones don't really have much chance. Its just life (or natural selection).
744  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CRYPTO BULLION (CBX) | Inventor of PoSP! on: April 23, 2017, 11:13:12 PM
ICO Spark is canceled and CBX shall be reimbursed to ICO participants.
186,866 cbx will become active again.
how to get the cbx back i have invested some coin cbx on this project! really sad did not start yet, but anyway, please let me know how to get back the coin!

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1600250.msg18634107#msg18634107

You should have received an email from them.

So what's going on with CBX is it game over? Is it worth keeping my 6000 coins I paid for over this 2 years. I can't see any updates or General info on any social media or news updates since 2016 September. Can any one enlighten me please?Huh?

Well it would seem there is no point holding on to them at this point I agree. While other communities have innovated and kept relevant cgb or cbx now has just done nothing and remained stagnated. They seem to think it works like the community drives the development.

In reality development creates the excitement and generates a community around it who support it by buying it and pushing up the price.

They need to create a development tax and governance system....plus perhaps some incentive nodes or masternodes...even sprinkle some anon and also actually be active on the thread and not treat it like a hobby coin.

But then again why sell now it is worth practically zero. Hold on and dream it gets taken over or the dev team does something eventually or just a random whale pump happens although cant see how it is not even on bittrex is it? i mean coins that have been out 5 mins are on bittrex.

this has yobit with a broken wallet for months

wdc, cgb, dgc mec all pretty much a laughing stock now whilst other coins are rocketing in value.

Never look into coins which do not have a dedicated proven developer/coder/designer or team of.

Good advice ! I would add ...

Invest in a wide range of coins : Most will fail, but the winners should make up for that.

The most obvious failures are coins which :

1. Do not have active development + continual innovation (preferably a large team)

2. Do not have at least one key strength ie Effective Anon, Powerful Governance system, Trusted/Master nodes, Substantial cash for development, Massive distribution.

3. Do not have multiple channels for promotion and discussion.

746  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★★ GameCredits - The future of in-game monetization ★★★ on: April 19, 2017, 11:38:11 PM
Hello,

Can we swap with game credits > mobile go tokens OR snapshot? Thank you
You are able to invest in the mobilego crowdsale with GAME.

What will happen to the Gamecredits that are subscribed for MobileGo ?  Will they be sold into the market , for BTC/Fiat, and how will that be managed ?
747  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: GameCredits Speculation on: April 19, 2017, 08:16:41 AM
Game price has had a good run, but acceleration in price always leads to a reversal. Long term trend still good however.

Look at the long term trend line : price is far above that, and will start to drop back soon, probably just before the Mobile Go ICO.  A lot of the Game subscribed for MobileGo will be sold back into the market, so there is going to be a  substantial dip in the next 6-8 weeks.

My rough guess :

$1.1 by April 25th.

$0.55  by May 25th.

$0.85 by July 25th.

$1.3  by September 25th.

749  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: April 08, 2017, 01:00:05 PM

Talking seriously, I believe the ones losing on such bubbles are because they were so greedy to buy a so already appreciated coin, if people had stop buying after 50 usd, they wouldn't be crying now.

Yes, true. This is just trading commonsense.

Alts in a rising trend often get too far ahead on price. Lots of buyers pile in at the late stages, and then they are trapped underwater. Even if the fundamentals are still really strong, the price cannot move ahead until the weakest buyers are shaken out. This sometimes takes a lot longer (can be many months, or even a year) than people imagine, and a lot bigger price drop is required.

Dash has simply got ahead of itself, and the price will remain in a corrective phase (or downtrend) for sometime. The only questions then are 1. Are the fundamentals solid ? and  2. Are you very patient ?
750  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: April 05, 2017, 01:31:19 PM
Trade volume, whilst good, is only a fraction of what it was at the peak (over $100 price ). That indicates to me that a firm trading range has been established. Approx $50 to $100...

A wide range maybe, but a lot of support and resistance, so it will probably stay in here for some considerable time. Stability will be a positive.
751  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: April 02, 2017, 08:03:06 PM

Just dump them already... No need to prove anything. Dash = Scam = Sell. Simple  Kiss

Walter

How could anyone resist selling for $60 ?  4x what it was a couple months ago.
752  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: April 02, 2017, 07:57:03 PM
It's the same cycle that usually happens.  When DASH falls, the trolls come out to bash.   Instamine this, Instamine that.   When it pumps, its because this and because of that.   For us that are holding long, it makes no difference.  Yes, it's painful that DASH has dropped 40% from its all time high.   Unless you control a huge amount of volume in the tens of millions and can continuously maintain the manipulation of the market for YEARS, the best strategy is to just keep buying and accumulating.   I just bought a couple of BTCs worth now and will continue to buy more as the price drops.

Keep this in mind, when it comes to long term vs. short term trading,  based on my experience, the long term hold always win if the coin is solid (same is true with the stock market).   When Dash was pumping, this thread was filled with pages of people who bought or mined thousands of DASH and sold them for $2-$12.  It's the same story with BTC.  I know many that sold thousands of BTC at $10-$30 after BTC crashed, thinking that they were selling at the ATH. Shorting develops a bad habit in a sense that you may win battles but it only takes one time to screw up and you're wiped or you miss a giant pump.

All true. Long term vs short term.

The only caveat is if/when a coin fails because either there is a technical problem with it, or other coins edge it out of the ecosystem over time..
753  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: April 02, 2017, 07:25:37 PM
Dash, it's short for Digital Crash er... Digital Cash... They just never said which nation's cash.

Might be Venezuela from the look of it.  Cheesy

Its just the expected mirror image of the rise from $15 to $120.  It will be a long time before the bottom is hit, that is normal. Dash had its day, and now the action is in other alts.

As for long term , who can tell.
754  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: April 01, 2017, 11:51:07 PM
Dash is falling. Should i sell some dash  at the moment?
Any suggestion?

DASH will have a lot of good news over the next couple of weeks, at least 1 major exchange to be added and Charlie Shreem is doing a couple presentation around Europe. I'd say hold.

Could drop a bit more. There will be sellers into the good news.

Believers will hold. Nothing is certain.
755  Economy / Speculation / Re: Nights Watch by Afrikoin on: March 31, 2017, 08:17:12 AM
Only reason ETH and Dash are this big right now is because of BTC fork drama, spooked crypto enthusiasts look for safety in what they perceive as the next best coin and plan to go back to BTC once the drama is over. 90% of people dabble in alts to increase their BTC stash, that's their one and only goal. And it only takes a small percentage of scared Bitcoin fans to inflate certain altcoins to huge bubble proportions. I'm not a Bitcoin maximalist, I'm sure a few altcoins will find their own niche in time, but right now they're simply way overvalued due to the Bitcoin drama.

I disagree. ETH has really many more uses than BTC, it is more interesting, will attract a more diverse crowd and support a more diverse ecosystem eventually. The only problem with it is the big supply with inflation that is still not definitely defined - it makes it kind of less attractive to those very people who push the price up - the investors. Of course bitcoin can still attack this space with RootStock - but currently this seems very remote. With DASH I am a bit more sceptical - but it has also innovated. DASH has somehow better privacy - but it also nailed down the social system with the DAO idea - the result of it is for example paying the PR girl, this also is a big innovation.

Without question there are many alts whose genetics are better suited ,than Bitcoin, to all kinds of uses.  However, the first mover has a huge advantage of brand, network effect, and simple holder/user inertia.

Bitcoin's advantage will erode amongst the Crypto community (indeed that path is well advanced now), however, it is the global currency/transaction market which will drive new adoption, as that is fresh money, and big scale. The highest profile Crypto will benefit from new attention, and that is still BTC. It is also the defacto settlement layer in most altcoin transactions.

Things may well change, but the process will probably happen in political time (think years) rather than tech time (think days). Like an environmental ecosystem, new species are competing for a niche, against dominant creatures. That analogy might suggest the possibility of a quick tipping point, but equilibrium remains the default state for the majority of the time.

Everybody enjoying themselves ?  Cheesy

I think everyone knows where it goes.. Wink
Still time to sell at profit.. be smart!

I dare you to short dash right now

Thanks for your advice.. Wink

1. The cycles are obvious if you look at charts.  The exponential rise from $15  will of course retrace, and that is normal.

2. Most LT holders will still be quite comfortable if it gets down to $30 in the next few months. That will provide a better base.

3. Shorters closing out were the buyers at extreme prices over $100.  Longs would not have bought at such a level . Even the fhe faithful can see it is too far ,too soon.

758  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: March 30, 2017, 09:47:19 AM
I wonder who the fuck buys shitcoins like litecoin while spectacular coins like DASH do exist on the horizon ..another Pump and Dump well organized scheme!! Waiting for the exchange announcement and Dash to the moon!!!

That is the way the market moves as a whole. Each coin in turn. Dash has had its pump. A steady trickle down now is quite normal, and long term holders will still be very happy if it gets to $50 in the next few months.

You cannot really tell the long term quality of an Alt by its short term price moves.

So looks like Dark Coin aka Dash has now come back down for about 1/3 of the pump.

You guys think the DashMasters still have some ammo to play with in their game?

Is it gonna be a slow bleed back for the rest of the 2/3rds?

OR will we see a fast dump sometime soon?  Tongue

Slow bleed back.

The bigger shorters have been properly burned (their closing buys made the top between 100 and 120$) and they will not be going back in anytime soon. Therefore the price can slide slowly without 'passengers', and without wild swings as shorts won't come in and out.
