722  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor Safe 3 New Hardware Wallet on: January 17, 2024, 03:09:31 PM
I just saw this; from the product page, it looks like it's not airgapped, is it? I see no camera or microSD card slot. It seems like a refresh of the Model One, especially looking at the low price tag. That's nice, but I expected more from Trezor.
If you are asking about Trezor 3 than no it's not airgapped device.
This is just refreshed version of Trezor One with additional secure element, better processor and few little improvements.
For price of €79 I think this is the best you can get, but I am sure Trezor is working on airgapped device with their own secure element.

Just from my first impression, I think that putting a plastic screen flush with the device's case is a bad decision; the recessed screen in Model One made it pretty resistant against scratches or other damage, meanwhile this one reminds me of Shift Crypto's BitBox02 which scratches easily.
Simple aftermarket foil (like for casio watches) is going to do wonders for protection screen of this device.
On my old Trezor One device I still have original factory foil, but on Trezor 3 they added dark black protection foil that needs to be fully removed from device.
723  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: How to access to my Trezor account with an old version of Electrum on: January 17, 2024, 02:54:26 PM
I don't have a passphrase, just the pin and I know the pin. The problem is that with Trezor it tells me that I have to update it before using it. I can try updating it but there is a risk of losing everything. I wanted to know if there is any way I can send my funds to another wallet without updating.
I just told you that trezor device is not going to ask you for seed words at all when updating software or firmware so there is no risk, but hey do whatever you want.
If you want to do your own thing go ahead, try other wallets like Sparrow, Specter or Exodus, they are all supporting trezor devices.
724  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: I need your help on: January 17, 2024, 02:46:06 PM
Thank you all for your help.
I get it, except wait for the fees to drop low enough.
There is no other way. . . Sad
Depending on your address type fees may never get as low as you expect them to be on bitcoin main net.
In some cases it may even be impossible to spend very low amount of sats, unless they are on LN or bitcoin second layers.
To learn more about this check out this calculator for Economically Unspendable Bitcoin UTXO, made by Jameson Lopp:

725  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Any means of combining multiple output into 1 ? on: January 17, 2024, 02:35:41 PM
So my question is, is there any possible way of sending all the transactions out as one output to a new wallet in order for it to be smaller in size and the transaction fee to be lower?
Like it or not, fees are going to get even higher in next few years, so think about using some alternative option if you are constantly receiving smaller amount of bitcoin on many addresses.
Best way I found so far is to use L-BTC liquid network addresses, they will get consolidated for free using Aqua wallet, and when you collect enough coins and fees are not extremely high than you can swap them to on-chain Bitcoin.
Compatible wallets so far are Aqua wallet, Blockstream Green wallet, Jade hardware wallet, ledger wallet, specter wallet.

726  Economy / Reputation / Re: Farewell on: January 17, 2024, 02:15:01 PM
Without giving away too much personal info, I have a chronic disease. I've had this disease for a decade and have had a lot of treatment for it, but it is winning. I likely only have a few months left. And so, I bid you all farewell. I'll be spending as much of my remaining time as possible with my family. In a week or two, once this thread has run its course, I'll ask theymos to lock this account.
Oh man, so sorry to hear about this Cry
I know we are not getting any younger and all of us will have to leave this place at some point, but saying farewell is never easy.
Spend your remaining time surrounded with your family and remember only the good times.
You certainly left the mark in bitcointalk forum.
727  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INFO] Bitcoin Halvening Watch on: January 17, 2024, 02:05:57 PM
I have 2 of Coin Vigilante's watches and love them.  I Just found out they are making a special edition for the Halvening
Cool looking looking watch with Patek Nautilus homage design and Seiko nh70 automatic movement, but dial is unique with bitcoin symbol and hand.
Similar cases can easily be ordered from China much cheaper but it would be much harder to make inside look the same.
I am not sure I would pay €465,95 for this pre-order, and I can't find option to pay with Bitcoin.

Why is he not banned for breaking forum rules?
All I can think is that he is being protected by someone from forum administration.  Tongue
I could not believe when I saw what he wrote about your teeth, but he also made personal threats to me as well both in public and in private.
On top of that he is spamming all the time with his signature, and he is promotion tesla ponzi scheme and Elon fraud.
And this pathetic little man has the balls to say ''he didn't do anything even remotely shady''  Roll Eyes

Partnerstvo Binance i Trustee Plus
730  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any way to pay for AWS using Bitcoin? on: January 16, 2024, 07:27:13 PM
If not, then is there any reliable non-KYC Virtual Credit Card service that accepts Crypto? In that case, I may convert BTC to the accepted Crypto and pay for AWS through it.
I think there are gift cards that work for AWS, but availability of this cards is always changing so you need to check them yourself.
There are several website like this I know but bitrefill.com and thebitcoincompany.com are two biggest one, but remember to check the country supported by specific gift card.
Some non-kyc virtual cards may also work in AWS but there are no guarantees.
731  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: How to access to my Trezor account with an old version of Electrum on: January 16, 2024, 07:11:39 PM
Does anyone know what can I do?
Thank you very much
Do you own Trezor One or Trezor model T, and why don't you just update Trezor Suite app and your trezor firmware?
You don't need to enter seed phrase again in trezor during update, unless reset function was activated on your device.
After that you should send coins to other wallet addresses with keys that you are controlling.
732  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: DIY Bitcoin Blockclock on: January 16, 2024, 07:02:52 PM
Why go through all that trouble, if you can just re-purpose a old used cellphone?
Did you even read what I wrote or you just decided to write something randomly?  Roll Eyes
And why would you use smartphone when you have old dumb phones works fine, and you should not use flat screens when old black&white tv and FM radio is working fine?  Cheesy

Preev is only showing bitcoin price and you need browser to open the page.
BTClock is working independent and it shows much more information ( Block height, Sats per Dollar, Price, Time, Halving Countdown), all that in cool retro design.

733  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: 50 Hardware Wallets, compared feature by feature on: January 16, 2024, 06:10:03 PM
Red flags all over the place - Both their privacy policy[1] and terms of use[2] are mostly copied from Coinkite own privacy policy[4] and terms of use[5].
I didn't have time to research their website deeper but there was something fishy from start.
They are offering 40% fake discount and normal price for this device would be $500... that is crazy high price.
When I first saw device I thought it was just design fork of ledger nono X, but I compared the screen and there is a difference.

ledger X vs Safeguard display:

 vs

Their twitter page is full of rnadom crypto news, and there is one carton video posted on their youtube channel,
they are talking more about ledger and other hardware wallets than about their own device:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_SMwtA12Z4

Also, if you hover into their application links for Android and iOS (notice that the acronym is badly spelled)
I think they are based in China, they are often making spelling mistakes like this.
734  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: I can't find the file to let me connect a Bitcoin Full Node for Ledger Live App? on: January 16, 2024, 05:48:11 PM
I suppose that a better way to do this would be to build Ledger Live from source[2]? If, for some reason, users still would like to install Ledger Bitcoin application they can also do it without the need of Ledger Live by running python utilities[3].
There is one guy who is trying to clean the code of ledger live and make it better, but last thing I saw him saying that it is going to be hard to make it work without bugs.
This is because ledger implemented tracking crap in every segment of application, and cleaning it up is a Sisyphus work.
Here is the open source code of Lecce Libre app by REKTBuildr, but use at your own risk:

735  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor Safe 3 New Hardware Wallet on: January 16, 2024, 04:41:11 PM
One update regarding spaced addresses in Trezor, I can confirm that new Trezor 3 safe have the option to show them both in Trezor Suite and in Trezor device.
Simply select Spaced instead of Continuous in Address display menu settings, and all Bitcoin addresses will be easier to read.
Trezor Suite also released beta version with new wipe code that can erase all data on the Trezor device as additional protective measure.
Note that Trezor One is still showing old style continuous addresses.

736  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Most straightforward way to swap XMR for Bitcoin on: January 15, 2024, 09:35:39 PM
Hi man. I think unstoppable swap is excellent, but I believe it works only the opposite way. I mean you can only swap from BTC to XMR and not the opposite. Are you sure you can buy BTC using XMR?
You are right, there are only BTC to XMR swaps available right now, and I think there are no available providers even for this direction at the moment.
That is why I posted several alternative options to choose, and there are few other wallets with swap feature like Stack wallet.
737  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: 50 Hardware Wallets, compared feature by feature on: January 15, 2024, 09:17:04 PM
- Added Frostnap hardware wallet
I don't know what to think about this new Frostnap device, and can we even call it a hardware wallet.
We don't have any substantial information about specs or price, except one early photo preview and text how everything should work in theory.

I found another hardware wallet Safeguard BVKey but I am not sure if they just cloned and slightly modified ledger device and made it more expensive:

738  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Breez/Electrum/Coingate on: January 15, 2024, 08:48:06 PM
Coingate recommended using Breez so I set up Breez and bought some BTC. Coingate now says I have to use Electrum. Does anyone know how I transfer my Breez BTC to Electrum? Thank you!
Breez is super simple to use Lightning wallet, so don't expect to have that same simplicity with Electrum LN.
Is there any reason why Coingate would tell you to stop using any wallet, and switch to something else, they are both non-custodial, and they are mentioning them both on their blog article:
https://coingate.com/blog/post/bitcoin-lightning-wallets

739  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: DIY Bitcoin Blockclock on: January 15, 2024, 08:28:55 PM
I think I will get the DIY package and let you know how the build went.
I hope you know your way around soldering  Smiley
Better first to read instructions and watch few videos before you start making your own DIY device.

the one that is the same size as the BTClock is roughly $400
Than how big was nkv's coinkite clock in full size?

I can share some opinions once I have both.
That would be nice.
I think BTClock have big advantage that you can customize and change it however you want.
Developer is constantly updating it and adding new versions.
740  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Most straightforward way to swap XMR for Bitcoin on: January 15, 2024, 08:16:45 PM
Hi, I have some XMR in Cake Wallet and want to convert it to Bitcoin and put it into Coinbase. What is the most straightforward way to do this? Am in UK which means not that many wallets seem to handle XMR.
put it into coinbase...
Yeah, why would you use your own non-custodial wallets, when you can just send them to some third party exchange to take care about them, until they get hacked....  Tongue

Anyway, xmr to bitcoin:

- unstoppable swap (quick way)
- bisq decentralized exchange (slower safer way)
- agora desk or local monero (p2p)
- exch.cx (faset, centralized)
