Hey alibitress.
Is your service still working and operational or not?
Website was online few days ago, but purchasing of stuff was not possible because of maintenance work.
Today I can't even open your website, and it's not only me who has the problem:

1662  Other / Meta / Re: [Bitcointalk Party - Discord sv] Bitcoin Pizza bake-off contest! Enter by June 1 on: June 26, 2023, 10:09:20 AM
Pizza must be made by yourself
There is no way for anyone to prove pizza was made by myself...
It can be made by my aunt, next door guy or custom made in pizzeria by proffesionals.

The definition of a pizza, per Merriam-Webster, states
Wait...so that means no more lemon and potato ''pizza'' experiments?  Cry

I agree more or less with rest of the rules you wrote, except maybe limiting that only Full members can participate and vote.
Brand new, newbies and Junior members should not be allowed, but everyone else should.

So the user with the most wins wants to readjust the rules right after losing?  Roll Eyes

1663  Other / Meta / Re: A concise 2FA/TOTP implementation (SMF patch) on: June 26, 2023, 09:57:46 AM
I think the 2FA will be those of authentication apps like Aegis because it is the most secure. I like something about this forum veteran members, they know what not to go for.
Sure, I use Aegis and it's one of the best open source 2FA apps at the moment.
I know PowerGlove knows what he is doing, but I just wanted to make sure what should not be included, and I would also add notification not to use google 2fa with cloud.

I am of the same opinion. I'm not a big fan of 2FA.
And I say more, I find it annoying to always have to be next to my smartphone, to access a website. Maybe it's just laziness. Tongue
Better security can be annoying sometime, but this is by design, it's not a flaw.
I don't like carrying big heavy lock with me to secure my motorcycle or bike from thief, but there is a high chance someone would stole it without any lock or with cheap lock.
You don't have to always carry smartphone, less secure way is to install 2fa app on your computer, KeePass also supports storing 2fa keys.

It's not ideal, that's true, but it's also not that stupid. There are still some important advantages to be had, even if you do everything from a single device. Your account will still be protected from phishing, and (in a lot of cases) it will still be partially protected from keyloggers, clipboard sniffers, and certain other types of malware (i.e. depending on how it's stored, it can be much harder for malware to exfiltrate your shared secret than it is for it to read the clipboard, etc.)
KeePass is reasonably secure, it can be used to save this 2fa codes, and you with extra security it's not that easy to break KeePass encryption.
It's certainly better to use this in combination with different device, but YubiKey is also not a bad idea to have (I don't know if that is compatible).
Even some hardware wallets can be used for this purpose in combination with FIDO:

1664  Other / Meta / Re: Can Bitcointalk Adopt the Web3 System? on: June 26, 2023, 09:45:34 AM
Currently, it seems that sites that implement web3 technology are popular. This site connect wallet to login. Is it possible if bitcointalk also adopts such a system in the future? maybe it will be more interesting if we can log in with a bitcoin wallet
I am not interested at all in this and I don't want to connect any wallets with my bitcointalk account, it is waste of time.
Web3 have nothing to do with bitcoin as far as I know, it's only related with worthless shitcoins and it doesn't have any real use case in real world.
If I want to make login in forum more secure I would only consider adding optional 2FA as improvement to current login system.
1665  Other / Archival / Re: [BIG LIST] Crypto Debit Cards on: June 24, 2023, 09:52:46 AM
I already made an account with them otherwise I wouldn't have minded using your referral code. And I was actually asking whether you used the card while shopping?
Yes I did used it and it worked just fine.
This is perfect you want to buy some digital goods that can't be purchased with BTC, becaue it still preserves some of your privacy.
Note that this cards will not work for purchasing with paypal and similar websites, but I think someone said that it can be connected with paypal.

1667  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Let's talk about Reproducible Builds for Hardware Wallets firmware on: June 23, 2023, 08:16:53 PM
Verifiable Source wallets let you inspect code for flaws, but pre-compiled software lacks a way to verify if it matches the source. Reproducible builds ensure that anyone can recreate identical copies from source code, build environment, and instructions. That's why is important for all wallet users to learn how to build the firmware and verify it before upgrading their wallets.
If not possible for you, at least see if there are proofs of others doing that verification. One good place to find those proofs is https://bitcoinbinary.org
I am not saying bitcoinbinary is bad but in my opinion there is a better website that first started doing this Reproducible builds, and it's called WalletsSrutiny.
I think they have bigger base of wallets they tested and they are constantly working on adding new ones, not to mention they received lawsuits for doing this...
Bitcoinbinary was created after NVK changed license for ColdCard wallet from open source to CC, because it was not showing reproducible Coldcard on WalletScrutiny website Wink
It's different story now:

1668  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: [ESHOP launched] Trezor: Bitcoin hardware wallet on: June 23, 2023, 08:02:33 PM
For about half a year I did not use the Hardware Wallet of the first model, but just recently I tried to enter it, but my attempts were unsuccessful.
If I understand correctly you own Trezor ONE hardware wallet, right?
First thing I would suggest is to uninstall and reinstall latest version of Trezor Suite app with bridge, and install it again from scratch to see if this fixes your problem.
Than you can also connect Trezor with other third party wallets like Electrum or Sparrow and see if Trezor works with them.
Try with this first and let me know what happens next.

1. When the cable is connected, the screen with the Trezor logo lights up, then by pressing the keys, a phrase appears in the spirit of "Do you want to block the device? Yes / No. In general, nothing else happens.
I don't remember ever noticing message like this...

Trezor supported operating systems are Linux, MacOS (version 10.13 and higher) and Windows (version 10 or newer), so make sure you have that updated as well.

PS
I hope you have seed phrase backup safe on your paper.
1669  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: My first contest : win a hardware wallet, a steelwallet and satoshis ! on: June 23, 2023, 07:48:58 PM
Dear gamers, Shiftcrypto is offering a new giveaway: a beautiful bitbox. All you have to do is carefully fill in a survey and then I'll think about how to proceed with the draw. If you have any ideas for the draw, I'd love to hear from you. Thanks
Another one?
Bitbox must be falling for your charm, and they are getting very generous to us, thanks to you Wink

I would suggest not complicating things a lot with different rules, just make sure that all members are active members of bitcointalk forum.
In my opinion it's better to avoid Bitcoin price prediction this time, but make a random giveaway draw based on order how they submitted the survey.

1670  Other / Meta / Re: A concise 2FA/TOTP implementation (SMF patch) on: June 23, 2023, 07:31:59 PM
So, as some of you know, I've been working on adding (optional) 2FA to the forum for a while now. I mostly finished this work late last year, and it's just been sitting in a folder, waiting for its day in the sun.
Well done! Another ''forum main dev'' project  Cool
I like to hear that 2FA will be a optional feature, but depending on how easy is to use I would would probably use it in bitcointalk forum.
Just make sure not to add any 2FA that is connected with SMS and phone numbers, this is literally worst thing related with 2FA.
Now that being said, people should be aware of risks when using 2FA, that means if you lose backup codes you will lose your account, and not even theymos with all his mighty powers will be able to restore it.
Speaking about theymos, I wonder what is going to be his opinion about this Wink

1671  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Multi-sig for Bitcoin holders in my category? on: June 23, 2023, 07:20:10 PM
I recently came across multi-signature (multi-sig) wallet technology. I am still studying it, but I am wondering, as a small Bitcoin holder with less than 0.01 bitcoins, if I should really be concerned about using it. Considering that I am an average user, do you recommend multi-sig wallets for Bitcoin holders in my category?
Bitcoin multisig is always a good idea to consider if you plan to hold coins for longer amount of time.
0.01 BTC might not be a huge amount of money for everyone, but this can change in future and in some countries this is still decent amount of money.
You don't need to have anything special to start multisig setup but it's best to do it with one offline device (laptop, smartphone or hardware wallet) and first make sure to test everything.
If I was in your place I would start simple, nothing complicated with multisig for newbies.

1672  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: The Lightning Network FAQ on: June 23, 2023, 07:12:50 PM
I would recommend Blink (formerly BItcoinBeachWallet) available for ios and android and app gallery  https://www.blink.sv/
It says that Blink is unavailable some countries app stores, including the US  Roll Eyes
I like that they are supporting Stablesats, USD equivalent that is much better way of holding some kind of stablecoins but without having to deal with shitcoins.
So far I didn't try it but I might give it a go to see how it works, but if I understand correctly this is custodial LN wallet.
1673  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: crypTrax - Keep track of your cryptocurrencies on: June 23, 2023, 12:56:29 PM
Sorry for my late reply. Coingecko changed their API limits so i needed to adjust the configuration.
It works fine for me again!
Was nothing else changed except API?
Maybe you could add alternative fallback option of using coinmarketcap for fetching data.
1674  Other / Meta / Re: TalkImg.com - Image hosting for BitcoinTalk on: June 23, 2023, 11:10:49 AM
I happened to notice that Reddit (and other companies) use Atlassian Statuspage. He presents a free plan, which may serve the purpose. I'll have to look into it further.
I think this should work just fine for TalkImg website.
If this is not a secret, can you tell us how many visits you have in average now per day, week and month?

I use BetterStack, which is free (up to a limit, more than enough for me) and very easy to set up.
From what I see on their pricing page, only differences compared to paid plans is more checks, more monitors, better support, etc. and that is not very important for Ninjastic or TalkImg website.
I think it's great they are proving free e-mail alerts, and 3 minute checks are more than enough.
I am sure this could easily be connected later with telegram and other platforms with notifications.
1675  Economy / Services / Re: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ [OPEN] Signature rent ✅ on: June 22, 2023, 08:48:24 PM
Hey  Tongue

1. Signature goes well with your eyes.
2. No minimum quota.
3. 0.00016 btc per post (up to 30 posts).
Hey there icpress, how did you know the color of my eyes when I always wear special privacy sunglasses?  Cool

Thank you for your kind offer.
I will consider it, compare it with other offers I received in private, and make my decision by the end of this month.
1676  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Impossible to Solve Ledger Live Crash on: June 22, 2023, 08:40:43 PM
Any suggestions?
You shouldn't really use ledger live for anything more than updating firmware, but I would stop using it totally and switch to some open source hardware wallet that respects your privacy more.
1677  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: D'cent 50$ discount code on: June 22, 2023, 08:35:46 PM
I only have one code, and I'm willing to give it to the first reputable member to post here. Preferably to someone who's interested in reviewing the wallet.
I saw this candy offer on Coingecko website, and it's not a bad deal that makes wallet price around $90 plus shipping, but I never liked all their biometric stuff and closed source code.
1678  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Square is considering making a hardware wallet for Bitcoin on: June 22, 2023, 08:29:09 PM
They just opened Bitkey beta, so don't apply Roll Eyes
Something is telling me people are going to pay for this ''free'' device with their personal information and addresses, and you will receive it ONLY if you get selected....
Again, we now have notorious Recovery feature confirmed in Bitkey wallet.

Beta customers will receive a free Bitkey hardware device, mobile app and recovery tools in case they lose their phone or hardware
If selected, you'll be one of the very first customers to try the product - before it's publicly available

1679  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: 37 Hardware Wallets, compared feature by feature on: June 22, 2023, 08:23:01 PM
Added Bitkey to the website. Still lots of questions about the wallet, so the info is not complete. Waiting to get more info about the wallet to include on the site.
Wait a minute... did they changed the name again?!
First I thought this was some new wallet I never heard before but than I saw familiar shape of ex-Square aka ex-Block wallet.
I honestly wouldn't call this a real hardware wallet at all, based on information I know about it, but let's wait and see what happens when they release it officially.

PS
I am never going to apply for this  beta  Cool
1680  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Foundation Passport Official Thread on: June 22, 2023, 08:17:06 PM
Pretty cool news, both Passport "Founder's Edition" and "Batch 2" are now updated and properly marked as verified for the latest firmware, v2.1.2, on the Wallet Scrutiny website!
Nice work!
It's interesting that Coldcard also appeared on WalletScrutiny website, and I don't remember I noticed it before.
Cypherock X1 wallet also made it in top 7 list of reproducible HW.

I see Passport Founder's Edition is showing Discontinued note, but can they still be used with latest firmware updates, and what are the main difference compared with Batch2 in main board level?
Case is much better in new model, as well as display, but I was asking about chips, processors and code.

I know that you are throwing a punch at NVK and ColdCard (rightly so), but did I miss some drama between the teams of Passport Foundation and ColdCard? Did NVK question the verifiable or open-source nature of Passport devices? Just for the record, although I am sure you know, Coldcard not being open-source doesn't make their code not verifiable and nonreproducible. Even WalletScrutiny has marked it properly on their website.
He would probably be terrible in role of Satoshi.  Wink
I don't want to talk about NVK, and I don't know what is in his head, but I think he felt his business was going down after Passport appeared and he didn't like that someone else (other than him) is using open source code.
Let's get back on topic - Passport wallet.
