Sorry for a new thread, but I think it may be worth. Let´s suppose that my phones or laptops are seized. Is there any app to "Brick" them / kill all data remotely or that it happens automatically if I don´t key in a code periodically?? Does anyone have experience with these?

For remote erase:

Android - Install "Find My Device" (APP) and enable "Allow remote lock and erase ".

Iphone  - install "Find My iPhone" https://support.apple.com/kb/PH2701?locale=en_US

Laptop (PC and MAC)  - You can use a program like: https://homeoffice.absolute.com/

Software for prey (subscription) does Ios, Android, Mac, PC and Linux

Dear supporters! We cannot leave without any attention your message about Dr. Baloch Asif and would like to let you know that we are preparing detailed information to answer on it. We requested Dr. Baloch Asif to prepare comments and answer the message posted. We will keep you updated!

Make sure you ask him about:

The Ddos on burstcoin and market manipulation that he admitted doing publicly.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T-mhEI2BF24&feature=youtu.be

The SARcoin servers that he was in charge of network security of that were "hacked" and why the SARcoin team believes it was him.

Asif Baloch is no longer with the company or involved in SAR. This was a mutual decision, all owners agreeing it is the best way to move forward. I will be doing a full write up explaining this is much more detail in the near future. But the short story is, a lack of professionalism and ethics.

The Signatum web wallets that got hacked and why others of the Signatum team believes it was him.

i dont know why they did not announce this , on thier signatum.org website
most of the details are there, but this wallet story is a case of cybercrime.
Doc stole all coins from the webwallet (around 300.000sigt) sonnysdaytona was so kind to BUY 300.000sigt from
doc to replace the users coins.. he paid doc with btc for the sigt.... (doc told him the webwallet server was hacked by vietnamese)
Now sonnys whole infrastructure is down because of some hack that doc did, and the police is already on it.

The Signatum wallet code that he released that contained a virus.

Dear Supporters!

Be careful with this coin. Their "blockchain director", Asif Baloch, has been involved in many other coins that have crashed and burned. He is SCAMMED hundreds of thousands of dollars from people with fake marketplaces and web wallets.

Digital Rupees
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1612954.0

Signatum
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2030529.0

Nexxus
http://www.nexxuspartners.com/sections/company/21/partners/leadership.html

He use to go by the alias "Doctor" even though he is not even a real Dr.

He has SCAMMED many other coin holders by creating fake coins and websites.

Do your research and investigate Asif Baloch. He is a total SCAMMER.

I am sure that the team with full responsibility is approaching the selection of team members. After all, this project is their brainchild, for which the team spares neither the strength nor the means.
And you? I only see the fool of the spreading FUD. If you came here to warn people about the danger, you would not behave like a savage, trying to discredit the reputation of the entire project. I looked at your links. And I can say that you can write a lot of things in the bitcointalk branch. Very often, developers, advisors do not even know that they belong to a team. Study the information on the Internet. Very often honest people are accused of sins that they did not do.

[PUMP AND DUMP] ]Signatum is just another clonecoin scam targeting naive noobs

It is not FUD. It is a genuine warning. Anyone participating in this is a fool.

If Innovaminex is not a scam itself they should ask SARcoin how things worked out for them.
924  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: IS BITCOIN CASH DEAD ? on: November 24, 2018, 01:32:28 AM
It was my understanding that bitcoin cash (BCH) is no more, there is now BCH ABC and BCH SV that have been issues 1:1 in replacement of any BCH holdings. Perhaps I am mistaken in this?
My understanding is also like that the original BCH changed to BCH abc , many thought that the incident made the price of bitcoin down

Technically BCH is now BCH ABC but the BCH SV people will deny that and have not conceded yet.

BCH has split into 2 (forked) and the dominant chain is BCH while the other is considered a "forked alt". (BCH ABC is the dominant chain)

Symilar to when Bitcoin split into Bitcoin Core and Bitcoin Cash.

Bitcoin core was the dominant chain and is referred to as "bitcoin" while bitcoin cash became a "forked alt" (which is heavily disputed by the Bitcoin Cash zealots who still claim it to be the "real bitcoin")

BCH is still unsafe to split into BCH ABC and BCH SV because neither chain has implemented replay protection and Craig Wright has made several threats about "losing both coins if you split it". With the potential 51% attacks looming, chain re-organisations (already happened on SV) and transaction spam attacks and Ddos attacks on the coin networks - BCH is rapidly losing the practical uses it had. Vendor and Exchange support is dropping. The bleeding has extended to other cryptos.

Often there is no love lost between competing cryptos and their communities but I believe this "war" will have a long lasting effect on both SV as well as ABC. I think it will have a detrimental effect on the future of BCH. Any gains of popularity (low Tx fee & faster Tx) will be lost. Investors have long memories and the market is full of competing products that conduct themselves with more dignity.

EDIT:

Since November 7, the Bitcoin Cash price (BCH) has dropped from $640 to $190, by more than 70 percent.

Prior to the hash power war between Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin Cash SV, a camp led by CoinGeek, Calvin Ayre, and Craig Steven Wright, the price of BCH plunged from $640 to around $450.

As I predicted:

Craig Wright might be planning to do this for years - but the people that are financing this bloodbath will eventually come to their senses and concentrate on making money rather than throwing it away.

Once the markets really get back to normal with seperate ABC and SV markets the dumping of those coins will start.

925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: IS BITCOIN CASH DEAD ? on: November 23, 2018, 01:06:00 AM

Roger ver is now insane because of the collapsing thats happning to his cryptocurrency
He did everything just to beat bitcoin and take over the top position, but all he got is failure so for me,bitcoin cash is not dying but this will surely go to the lowest position it may ever had,the fork is failure and he has nothing to do to make this copycat coin grow again like what this had mid of this year

This is also a risk that the real Satoshi understood. That the crypto has to be free from personalities.

SV is Craig Wright and ABC is Roger Ver.

It is near impossible to strip away the personalities from the Crypto because they have such polarizing personalities.

Neither of them appeal to me. But if I had to choose I'd prefer Ver over Wright.

I doubt that SV will amount to anything over time. But the issues caused will be an interesting learning experience.
926  Other / Ivory Tower / Re: Gender identity, bigotry and being categorized. on: November 23, 2018, 12:26:05 AM
The only problem is the given tolerance/freedom in this fields (human categorization) is abused to bend the truth by identity as something different or used as excuse to do something bad.

While i get the fact that people want to stay/feel young, denying the fact that he's 69 years old (and ignoring the math) is a joke

The counter argument to that is that he is being discriminated against based on age. Rather than taking into account his health he will be denied a mortgage based on age (perceived risk he might die or have to stop work before mortgage is repaid).

Rather than take into account his looks and health younger women are avoiding him because tinder is unlikely to even match them to him.

The same arguments of bending the truth by identity as something different can be being made for change of sex on birth certificates or changing names by deedpoll.

If the categorizations didn't exist or ceased to be of any importance  then there would be no need for people to change them.

Suanlitou, a Hong Kong-based mining platform that allows users to mine Bitcoin on a contract basis, said in a statement on Monday that it has suspended all contracts involving Bitmain’s Antminer T9, which was the most in-demand rig in the market. Suanlitou said it was unable to cover management and electricity fees incurred by use of those machines for a 10-day period from November 7.

Quote
Jack Liao, who runs Shenzhen-based Bitcoin mining firm Lightning Asic said he expected the bear market for cryptocurrencies to stretch till next year, with Bitcoin prices sinking to as low as US$2,000 (RM8,400). “Many people won’t survive,” he said.

I tend to agree. With Tether artificially inflating the bitcoin price its price rise was based on FOMO, greed and mania. I believe that the actual current value lies around $3000 but that the market may over correct (dropping the price lower) before it starts to climb again. (Something I said already around February)

Dropping below $3000 is concerning since a lot of large scale mining operations may decide to turn off miners. This would lower the difficulty and lower the cost of mining.

Some of the shitcoins won't survive and the cull will be healthy for the market. I'd like to see some of the promising newcomers produce some real commerce applications and innovation during that time. The results will help the recovery. Low cost bitcoin will encourage some people to ditch their alts for bitcoin and also encourage newcomers into the market.

Bitcoin benefits from quality altcoins since most altcoins are traded on the bitcoin base market.

A lower priced more stable bitcoin which looks like it will have promising future increases will encourage further adoption in commerce.

928  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: IS BITCOIN CASH DEAD ? on: November 21, 2018, 03:34:49 PM
Last week was another Night mare in the history of the crypto currency world. the event of the Bitcoin cash forking took  a huge swipe on the crypto market leading to a bizarre lost of over 50 billions Usd in the Market.  Bitcoin dropped below 6000usd trademark. the last time it hit such price was in August.  After the Forking, there has been a tug of War between the New born babies. BTC CASH ABC and BTC CASH SV.
So i asked what is the likely faith and future of their father. Bitcoin Cash.?

rumors of a decline that occurred a few days ago were caused by bch doing a hardfock, and it didn't succeed in attracting investors. so a war is carried out to reduce the price of bitcoin. yes this is like what I read in another thread.
I think this is a game to suppress our more panic, then they buy it with a very large amount.

Both ABC and SV are hemorrhaging with losses due to the cost of mining both (inefficient) chains. It is being funded by Crypto selloffs from all major Cryptos.

Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and others have all seen big drops in value.

Bitcoin is also doing a correction from when the market was in full mania and the price was dictated by greed and speculation.
The adjustment allows for the lower cost of mining (some of the hashrate has moved to mining ABC  & SV).

This war will wipe out large market caps and will reduce the wealth of the people involved in this "war". I believe that bitcoin hasn't seen it's lowest point yet. In the long term I do believe that bitcoin will win and recover from this. It still has the same utility and support and will provide an opportunity for people with long term vision to buy into bitcoin at a lower price level. (Allowing for good future increases)

I think ABC will be a neutered version of BCash and SV will just be another shitcoin that has its own toxic community and just won't die. (I predict SV will have a sucessfull 51% double spend attack by the end of 2019).

Craig Wright might be planning to do this for years - but the people that are financing this bloodbath will eventually come to their senses and concentrate on making money rather than throwing it away.

Once the markets really get back to normal with seperate ABC and SV markets the dumping of those coins will start.

Interesting times - usually the market peaks around Christmas.
929  Other / Ivory Tower / Gender identity, bigotry and being categorized. on: November 21, 2018, 02:19:17 PM
I'm a fairly tolerant person and have always lived my life on the basis of - if people leave me alone and their actions are not damaging towards me or others then I don't care what they do.

If they want to take part in a hedonistic lifestyle, strict religious lifestyle, be sexually attracted to objects or identify as binary neutral - I really don't care.

I don't judge people on their cultural identity or sexual identity - but rather how they contribute towards society behave towards me and people I care about.

But recent changes are causing issues in regards to freedom of expression and free speech. - This is something I feel very passionate about.

People should have the right to express their thoughts and opinions. Regardless of how stupid or pointless they may be. It should not be legislated and I agree with the views of Jordan Peterson in that regard.

People shouldn't be limiting to being categorized into their census categories. To do so creates more bigotry rather than reduce it.
Being reduced to a category offends me. I dislike census and Government forms. It is institutional categorization that I do not identify with.

There is a very interesting article here about it:
https://fcpp.org/2018/11/09/sympathizing-with-minorities/

With some amusement:
Legal fight to identify as 20 years younger
His actions are identifying some of the problems with institutional categorizations.

Quote
A 69-year-old Dutch “positivity guru” who says he does not feel his age has started a battle to make himself legally 20 years younger on the grounds that he is being discriminated against on a dating app.

Emile Ratelband told a court in Arnhem in the Netherlands that he did not feel “comfortable” with his date of birth, and compared his wish to alter it to people who identified as transgender.

Ratelband said that due to having an official age that did not reflect his emotional state he was struggling to find both work and love. He has asked for his date of birth to be changed from 11 March 1949 to 11 March 1969.

“When I’m 69, I am limited. If I’m 49, then I can buy a new house, drive a different car,” he said. “I can take up more work. When I’m on Tinder and it says I’m 69, I don’t get an answer. When I’m 49, with the face I have, I will be in a luxurious position.”

Doctors had told him his body was that of a 45-year-old man, Ratelband argued. He described himself as a “young god”

Mind = Blown.

There is more where that came from .....

Mind control is essential for every trader, and when you lose your temper, you will have limited thinking and make the wrong decisions. There are a lot of traders out there who can not control their minds and make huge losses in trade.

I agree that Bitcoins that are no longer used and circulated on the Bitcoin network should burn. This will increase the amount of Bitcoin traffic will actually grow and Bitcoin will actually increase rapidly because of the limited amount of Bitcoin. No more searching is what will help it go to the moon.

I am sorry to tell you that it is impossible to get them back. Anonymous systems are the reason why we do not know who is stealing them and you can not get a chance to get them back. With such a large sum of money, why do not you use a cold wallet like a Nano S ledger? Protecting yourself from hackers is stupid.

@xtraelv are you cryptopia representative?
Cryptopia brings us customers our AU coins now!!!!
Everybody knows that this coin is not gold backed now but it will be, this is the first coin to declare that he wants to be attached to gold since 2014 long before ETH and all new gold backed ICO this is why this coins is AU symbol, so I have no clame to AurumCoin but to cryptopia I have claimes.
I am your customer I pay you fees, you hold my coins for me. So or you bring back all my Aurumcoins or you bring me back 1,280usd for every coin I hold in your scammy exchange that I see in my balance and cannot withdraw.

Obviously you can't read and live in a fantasy world.

1) I've clearly stated previously numerous times that I am not Cryptopia staff nor authorized to speak on their behalf.
2) You want Cryptopia to pay you 1,280usd per coin for a coin that traded for less than $4 when the exploit occurred and has not had any volume sales since.
3) You blame Cryptopia for an exploit that happened entirely on the Aurumcoin network, that hasn't been fixed, hasn't been re-embursed and the coin devs are  attempting to shift the blame. No attempt by Aurumcoin has been made to identify the attacker nor re-emburse for any loss that occurred due to an exploit on the coin network they created.
4) You and Aurumcoin keep on making proven false claims that negatively affect the investments that I have.
5) A coin that you shill and appear to represent caused a loss to me.

How much further do you want to take this ?
935  Other / Meta / Re: Wall of fame / shame. Shit posts so bad that they are actually funny on: November 20, 2018, 04:20:44 AM
Bitcoin is really anonymous, but this is anonymous in the deal. In fact, each address stores the transaction, but through the address, you know how the transaction takes place, you can not tell who made the transaction. Incognito here is the stigma in getting current transactions and possessions.

AurumCoin – The first distributed open source cryptocurrency to be backed by gold

Proof it is a lie:

Aurumcoin has NO GOLD.

It has no gold so it is not the first.
It cannot become the first because there are other crypto currencies already backed by gold.

Someone has to be responsible for the gold. Perth Mint has been a trusted company for many years.

Onegram is a decentralized crypto backed by gold.

Lie #2
Cryptopia got hacked

https://archive.fo/iNLQa
Proof it is a lie:
Aurumcoin published on 10 November that “Cryptopia got hacked”.
This is untrue. None of the exploits used in the 51% attack touched the Cryptopia servers.

Aurumcoin got 51% attacked. In this attack a single attacker took over the blockchain and “overruled” the previously mined blocks by the honest miners and replaced it with “privately mined blocks that were mined in secret by the attacker”. This reversed transactions that had been previously confirmed by the Aurumcoin network. The exploit occurred entirly on the Aurumcoin network.

Balance of funds are held on the distributed ledger (Blockchain). A hardware wallet only holds the public and private keys. The private keys remain secure.
This means that if funds are reversed they are removed from the distributed ledger (Aurumcoin blockchain) and become no longer available.
None of this is under the control of the wallet owner. This process occurs entirely on the Aurumcoin network.

Lie #3
Cryptopia do not admit a 51% attack

https://archive.fo/cOcYF

Proof it is a lie:

9 November Cryptopia publishes the 51% attack. Prior to this Cryptopia sent a report on the 51% attack to the Aurumcoin developers.

https://archive.fo/iNLQa  10 November Aurumcoin Claims Cryptopia was hacked.
https://archive.fo/cOcYF  11 November Aurumcoin claims Cryptopia do not admit a 51% attack

Lie #4

It was worth less than $4

938  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance Transferred out 110,000 BTC on: November 16, 2018, 11:46:09 AM
This happens all the time when a chain is having a fork.

There are people who want to profit from a fork and would have sold bitcoin to buy bcash. Those sales would have triggered some auto sells when the price dropped.

After the fork and the drama is over people will buy it up again.

Hashrate has gone down a lot as a lot of miners switched to BCash ABC and SV.  They will get bored and find mining Bitcoin is more profitable and switch back eventually.

Due to the drop in hashrate it is also cheaper now to mine the real bitcoin.
