941  Other / Meta / Re: [CHARTS] Brief monthly overview of the local boards activity on: December 07, 2023, 03:16:48 PM
Local board members await November month status.
Working on it as we speak. With that being said, I have to push the deadline to sometime later next week as I have some obligations during the weekend.

You must be new here. Rikafip usually publishes the stats within the first fifteen days. There is no guarantee that he will do the same this month.
There's no rule really. Sometimes I update it very early, and sometime I am too lazy (or too busy) and delay it until the end of the month. Realistically speaking, my main problem is procrastination and that's something I've been working on for quiote some time with no much success.

Sometimes we need an updated merit dashboard for the most accurate data.
Since last month ended up on Thursday, Merit Dashboard was ready basically the first day of this month so I already have all the data needed. I tried to bluff @fillippone into rushing once again to publish his monthly overview and waste his weekend, but I think he saw through my feeble attempt.  Grin
942  Economy / Reputation / Re: Ratimov sold his account on: December 07, 2023, 03:02:16 PM
Oh gawd, Ratimov related drama keep going on...

You can't prove it directly. He caught sellers and knows all the nuances.
He maybe knows all the nuances but if what you are saying is true and another person took control of his account, that person will most likely slip, sooner or later.

Of course, this is not strong evidence, so I created a topic to attract the attention of more experienced users
Since he is currently only active in your local board, none of us here who don't speak Russian can help you much. What's the opinion of other members of your local board, do others have the same suspicion that he sold his account?
943  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] MIR Bounty Campaign - Fake Team + Fake Project on: December 07, 2023, 02:56:31 PM
I wanted to do this, but I keep getting this message "You already created a flag of this type for this user in the last 180 days."
I created a new  Type 1 flag, but this time with a proper reference link (that leads to your topic) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=3255

I believe thread can be locked now.
Why lock? You never know what others might dig up and we are still waiting for accused to reply.

From this, we get his escrow address [0xdf...f9A5] and, with it, the bounty payment, which confirm my suspicion because out of more than one hundred entries [the bounty was 94 page long, and I am assuming some of them are his alt to bump the thread with fake, empty enrollment], only ten addresses was paid. The rest? It seems they're sitting in his wallet.
Nice find! How come none of the bounty hunters complained about him yet?

944  Other / Meta / Re: Letter to Theymos: Provide medium for the forum in the face of the mixer ban on: December 06, 2023, 09:34:04 PM
LoyceV has ability to unban. But he is not a global moderator. How is this even possible?
First of all, he can whitelist members who got affected with "evil fee" and 2nd, he is not the only one as theymos added few more members that can do that. If you took some time to study the matter you would understand that's actually a good thing.

This has to do with privacy. If LoyceV has ability to unban, than with high probability LoyceV may has access to ip's of users
And yet again you showed that you have no idea what you are talking about. Anyway, I don't wanna derail this thread further so gonna stop now.
945  Other / Meta / Re: Letter to Theymos: Provide medium for the forum in the face of the mixer ban on: December 06, 2023, 09:16:58 PM
User Loycev has many more privileges and rights than a regular user. However, Loysev is not an even a global moderator. This is a potential threat to the security of the forum
I see that you keep writing things that you know nothing (or very little) about, but I will ask you nevertheless to mention some of those "rights and privileges" that he has and the other regular users don't and what it has to do with OP's topic of the thread?
946  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Investing - DCA on: December 06, 2023, 07:31:21 PM
Thanks for the reply - in your opinion would it be beneficial for me to split between the two coins or just invest 100% of the spare funds into BTC? i'm a newbie obviously but from what i have read so far it can't be too bad of an idea?
Its all about whether you want to play safe or more risky. Altcoins suchs as ETH might have shorter period of times where they pump more than bitcoin, but in the long run bitcoin always outperforms them.

For a newbie such as yourself who probably won't know when to sell altcoin, imho going all in bitcoin is the right way to go and since you plan to be into this for a longer period of time (since you are doing DCA) I suggest to get a hardware asap.
947  Other / Meta / Re: cryptofrka's Merit Source application - let's improve the gambling boards on: December 06, 2023, 07:23:20 PM
And how many of those 150 posters are merit sources? I'd say if that's the case then we might even think about removing some sources since they will all be concentrated on gambling boards.
Even if that happens any many merit sources moved to gambling board (which I don't think will happen anyway), that still shoulnd't make cryptofrka's merit source application obsolete as opposite to them, he is a native gambling board poster which I think is something that theymos probably takes into consideration.

I cannot recall the name of the member that made the comment but he stated it could take years for an application to be looked at.
Yep, you need some luck with these applications as theymos usually approves merit source applications in bulk and after monthly amount of merit shared drops down sigfnificantly, which hasn't happened yet so it might take some time. Unless he changes the way he readjusts the merit system.
948  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] MIR Bounty Campaign - Fake Team + Fake Project on: December 06, 2023, 05:41:48 PM
The following link is the correct link for the flag created by Bitum: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=3253
Thanks!

Looks like negative feedbacks worked as repear7 locked MIR bounty thread. Let's see if he comes here and shares his side of the story and how he managed not to notice obviiusly fake team members. Craciest part about all this is that bounty hunters would keepo joining bounty campaign despite warnings and negative feedbacks and that tells yoiu everything that you need to know about ( vast majorify) of them.
949  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] MIR Bounty Campaign - Fake Team + Fake Project on: December 06, 2023, 02:51:53 PM
Although, I honestly have to admit that some of the faces from this shown team are not far from the garbage in which they are presented.
Haha good one.  Cheesy

This is such an obvious scam project, and any manager worth their salt should have recognized the red flags within minutes.
I'm tagging the manager for his negligence and blatant greed in promoting anything that could generate a quick buck, regardless of its legitimacy or warnings from the community.

Our team has carefully researched the project following several criteria as we did for all of the campaigns we have managed or published.
I like how he used "our team" while its most probably one man show doing all this. But, even one person should be enough to notice such a huge red flag as 3 team members using picture of the same person.

Fellow users here, it seems OP has already prepared a flag for this scammer, I did not notice until just now because the flag was inactive in the lack of support.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=988147;page=iflags

Please provide your support/oppose actions on the flag and help save some innocent newbies from this low life.
Hm, I don't see any flags there. Are you sure that's the correct link?
950  Other / Meta / Re: [CHARTS] Brief monthly overview of the local boards activity on: December 06, 2023, 02:48:03 PM
No pressure, my friend. You already were slacking last month, you are becoming old and less performing. It happens even to the bests!
Oh that's for sure. When I started making these overviews I couldn't wait for DdmrDdmr to update his Merit Dashboard (I remember pestering him via PMs, asking when it will be updated) but now I am just happy to finish it by the end of the month.

This month situation is a little bit different because if I don't do it by Christmas, I definitely won't do it this month at all as in that period between Christmas and New Year I indulge myself too much in food & alchocol so I definitely won't have will to do something like this. Therefore I started the other day and hopefully finish it by end of this week, or beginning of the next at the latest.
951  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] MIR Bounty Campaign - Fake Team + Fake Project on: December 05, 2023, 04:54:14 PM
here is their telegram group: https://t.me/OFFICIAL_MIRTOKEN
I was asking about bounty group, not official MIR Telegram group.

After a short consideration, I tagged @repear7 as I believe he showed gross negligence because if he spent only 1 minute checking the project he is about to promote, he would have noticed that they used the same picture for 3 different team members, on top of all the other fake pictures and previous warnings from other members that it is a scam project. Depending on his answer (and closing the bounty campaign)  I might change it to neutral.
952  Other / Meta / Re: Mixers to be banned on: December 05, 2023, 03:58:42 PM
It is time for all members to get over this announcement, it is not the end of the world just because mixers will be banned.

Yes many members will no longer be earning as much if they manage to get enrolled on other signature campaigns but there is nothing more to discuss here. This forum is controlled by theymos and he has made a decision that we have to adhere to if we want to remain members.

I hope theymos locks this thread and pins it Meta board. Let us all move on.
No one denies that he can do what he wants, but since it looks like that he is williing to adjust the mixer ban rule slightly, I don't think that its pointless to discuss it.

After all, its been only a couple of days, its not like we are pondering on this for weeks or months. And it is a big decision, probably the biggest one in years so no wodner that many people have something to say on the matter.

953  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: SCAM upozorenja Zbirni topic on: December 05, 2023, 03:43:22 PM
U kriptu stvarno nikad nije dosadno jer te razina debilizma uvijek iznova iznenadi. Moram priznati da ovako nesto jos nisam vidio.   Cheesy

Za vise informacija, bacite oko na [WARNING] MIR Bounty Campaign - Fake Team + Fake Project .

954  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] MIR Bounty Campaign - Fake Team + Fake Project on: December 05, 2023, 03:32:37 PM
Lol, what a bad scam attempt. I mean, how on earth can you take picture of a Serbian president and then use him for not one, but three different team members??

For several days I politely asked him to suspend his fake project, at first he ignored me, then he threatened to ban me from Telegram, saying that he had contacted the project team, they confirmed the authenticity, and I was making everything up
Can you please share his Telegram group because for some reason I can't find it. I am curious to see how he tried to defend it.

Anyway, gonna send him a PM to come here and explain the situation and of course close the bounty campaign. If not, he can expect negative feedback from me.
955  Other / Meta / Re: Icopress ' Merit Source Application 🚩 on: December 05, 2023, 03:26:11 PM
By the way, is icopress a meritsourcer or not?
So you didn't even bother to check what's this thread all about? Well, that explains some of the posts that you wrote here.

Please stay away from the things that you know nothing about or at least have a decency to inform yourself before coming here and sharing an opinion.
956  Other / Meta / Re: [CHARTS] Brief monthly overview of the local boards activity on: December 05, 2023, 03:09:34 PM
[Note: What happens to the post when a local thread gets their own board?]
Nothing  special happens, thread simply becomes part of the local board. Sometimes it gets locked after creation of local board while sometimes it stays open and active.

By the way, I started the work on monthly overview and it should be out by the end of the week
957  Other / Meta / Re: Mixers to be banned on: December 04, 2023, 05:28:50 PM
Should we add an example that the Russian board has a dedicated section for HYIP scams? A separate place for Ponzi, hyip, cloud mining and similar seeds. Nobody got banned for that.
Yep, just one of the things that never made much sense to me and now even less with having mixers banned.

Mixer fanatics do not want legal mixers with KYC.
Mixers with mandatory KYC make as much sense as a wooden stove and would probably be equally popular.

958  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are bitcoin investors violators? on: December 04, 2023, 05:17:34 PM
do you think of yourself as a bad citizen for disobeying the government?
No.

Now see things from a religious side as well, by disobeying the government and investing in bitcoins, are you committing the sin of direct disobedience?
You think that being disobedient is somehow a bad thing? If you know anything about history you will see that its often quite the opposite.
959  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers on: December 04, 2023, 04:53:04 PM
Nope, of course not. But then we had a great midfield trio at least, and I still feel we grinded it out more than we actually deserved it.
We definitely overachieved in the last two World Cups but just because we grinded it doesn't mean that we didn't deserve it. In the same way I think that Greece winning 2004 Euro was well deserved and the more time passes, the more I appreciate their achievement.

We're pushing our luck for way too long - and there are many more games that I feel we've won that we should have lost than the other way around.
Once or twice is luck, but when you consistently win close games then it becomes something else. The opposite case is our national basketball team.

We're ready for some sobering up - and I think we get it in Germany.
Sobering up already happened in those qualification games vs Wales and Turkey (for anyone still thinking that we are powerhouse) so I don't think that anyone is expecting us to do much next year. Well, at least not those who are actually following us closely (and fans in Croatia ofc) while I noticed foreign football fans still are thinking that we are much stronger than we actually are.
960  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First Bitcoin Bar in Sofia, Bulgaria looks Interesting on: December 04, 2023, 04:38:05 PM
A few days ago we had a discussion about wearing clothes with the BTC logo and I think most people think it's a bad idea, and all those who think so would probably think twice before entering such a bar.
Yeah that's another thing I don't understand, people wanting to wear tshirts with bitcoin logo (I do have as I got it from my good irl friend, but I am only wearing it around the house)but by far the worse thing is having crypto themed licence plate. No better invite for a $5 wrench attack than that.

I was asking if it was solely Bitcoin or fiat payments were also accepted, and if any other crypto was accepted, I didn't see any information on that in the thread.
I doubt that you can open up a business and not accept the official currency, which in Bulgaria is Bulgarian Lev so that must be accepted too.
