2422  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do you think signature Campaigns will still continue when btc goes $800 ? on: November 05, 2015, 12:12:09 PM
I also think advertisers will simply use google adsense like service after lot of people used to know and have some bitcoin. This have already started to happen with bitrefill doing excessive promotion in adsense in bitcoin niche sites (only one example). But this forum is first place to talk about bitcoin and have larger user base who have lots of bitcoin in their hand. Gambling sites will stick with bitcointalk signature campaign as they are not allowed on adsense and some other adnetworks.

Well adwords does allow gambling sites to advertise themselves on the network but they strictly control it. You'd have to apply a certain certification on gambling related content on them. Not to mention the country restrictions.

They have a beta program for non-casino games, like fantasy sports or even chess.

The fact that bitcoin casino sites directly earn bitcoin, I think some of them would be generous with their sig campaigns.

Didn't get the chance to bet in the HOU vs ORL match, too bad I could have won for HOU.

Anyway, what's your take for the MIA vs MIN?

I'd bet Minnesota will take this one.

Re: Why the bitcoin price has been increasing?

Because of the gravitational pull of Da Moon, duh.

But seriously, I think this is the result of the publicity btc gained from the Economist plus the market movements in China. No one can really know, all that we are sure is that what goes up must go down eventually.
2426  Economy / Speculation / Re: We are reaching $400 today! on: November 03, 2015, 03:07:08 PM
Who would have expected this right? Just about a month ago the price was stuck at sub-$250. I wonder where this buying is coming from, speculators too?
2427  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia Proposes Jail Sentence for Bitcoin Activities on: November 03, 2015, 12:42:58 PM
It is literally impossible to jail everyone who owns Bitcoin. Bitcoin transactions don't give locations and information about the owner. Even if they ban all Bitcoin related sites and IP, people would find another way to by pass it (e.g. through tor). Banning businesses is a whole different story. It could at most hinder the acceptance there.

But what if say, an underground exchange who holds personal information from a buyer would get noticed by the government and they hand out credentials? That could help in the arrest of the bitcoin users too.
A little late but..

As you said, it's an underground exchange. It would likely charge more fee and not require verification. Most underground sites uses services like tor to host their website and it would be impossible to trace the user. However, the user should use a mixer to minimize the possibility of getting tracked. Even without it, it is hard to identify without exposing the address yourself.

The more Russia bans bitcoin, the more bitcoin becomes an embodiment of freedom.

I feel that soon they'll target and lock down LocalBitcoins sellers. I hope they don't cross the line with that.
2428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2015-16 Regular Season Discussion on: November 03, 2015, 10:50:36 AM
What the actual f*ck, just when I betted against HOU they actually won the game. Seems like Harden has picked up his rhythm, 37 points this time, with Durant at 29 and Westbrook at 25. Good for him.

Bad day, lost my bet for MIN too. Hope I can recoup with CHI and and ATL tomorrow.
2429  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC reach $350 during november? on: November 03, 2015, 09:25:38 AM
it's because 350 was never i mental barrier like everyone else was thinking, and 400 is not too imho, 500 is the next barrier

i see them as a exponential-like steps, not linear at all, the next one to this, should be 1k-1200(last ath)

Its odd because we do not really know what is the cause of this rally. But now we're at $370 and still breaking expectations and reaching new highs.

Exponential? I think that's a bit too optimistic.
2430  Economy / Speculation / Re: The halving reality on: November 03, 2015, 04:32:04 AM
We still have almost a year of current mining rewards. This hype will not last.

I suppose we are seeing the effects of publicity gained from the blockchain and bitcoin being featured on the Economist's cover. I also think it will not last, but it will set new floors, which might mean we'll no longer see $200 for a long time.
2431  Economy / Speculation / Re: $700 by Nov 17? on: November 03, 2015, 12:02:02 AM
We're mostly on the rise, so I think correction would now set in. Looking at it, maybe a floor of $330-$340, then another rise.

Who knows, we might hit the $400 barrier anytime soon, but $700? No.
2432  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: November 02, 2015, 01:26:13 PM
Hi, I cannot see where the loading fees are only the limits, are there any? Would be awesome if there aren't any.

Also, regarding "ATM Transaction Domestic," what country is considered domestic, UK?

Any app for mobile yet?
2433  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC reach $350 during november? on: November 02, 2015, 12:22:42 PM
Yes it will reach and play around $350 this month. Hopefully it will reached quick in mid November, just a checking period around $350. If it will become stable that week then ready for the next rally to $400-450 by third week until December. Smiley

$350 will be reached by mid November to early December I believe so too, but after that we need another major good news to bring in optimism enough to push us the $400 barrier. Otherwise we'll just play within the $300 range.
2434  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2015-16 Regular Season Discussion on: November 02, 2015, 12:08:54 PM
I choose these games for tonight:
Houston - Miami - 1
James Harden will beat Miami alone.

Orlando - Chicago - 2
D-Rose is back and Pau Gasol is in form. Easy game for Chicago.

Denver - Oklahoma - 2
Nuggets has no chance against the great duo Westbrook and Durant.

Damn it Harden has become shitty all of a sudden, 2/15 shooting and 0/10 at 3s? Come on he keeps losing me money. Good thing i betted on OKC too.

Probably it was a fixed game. Miami was 19 points behind and they won by 20. 39 points range is almost impossible. We saw a lot of fixed game in regular season.
Chicago, Oklahoma and Dallas won their game easily. We made some real money yesterday night. Smiley

I don't wanna believe it's a fix, he's ruining his stats and career.

I'm betting against them this coming OKC vs HOU. Westbrook and KD has been playing real good, I doubt Harden in his current form can even match.

I'll also bet on MIN on the coming match vs Portland. I hope Wiggins, Towns or even Rubio stand out again.
2435  Economy / Services / Re: Need A wordpress website ? for 1[btc] on: November 02, 2015, 11:54:15 AM
The price is justified if the WordPress theme would be re-coded and fully customized. Otherwise, it's just a matter of getting all the graphics done and installing the proper plugins, which can cost about 1/3 or even less than the offered price.

2437  Economy / Gambling / Re: After losing all your Bitcoin on: November 01, 2015, 01:05:31 PM
Am I the only person here that feels relieved when they lose all their Bitcoins due to gambling ? I don't have to deal with the constant planning and dreaming in my head that maybe this time I will recoup my losses. I find that I also sleep like a baby afterwards.

That only means you're stressed with gambling, and that it's already affecting your mental health. I'd advise you to quit it, it's not healthy.
2438  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Life Inside a Bitcoin Mine: Interview with Genesis Mining’s Marco Streng on: November 01, 2015, 12:31:59 PM
The transparency thru webinars and live stream of their mining farm is a step forward, but I wish they would focus more on getting a live GHs exchange for their service. They would profit more for this if they'll add a small transaction fee.
2439  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Signature campaigns - the truth on: November 01, 2015, 11:42:27 AM
It works, i myself tested it. I have an offer I advertised on my sig and added a tracking link, posted at least 10 times per day and I am getting consistent clicks.

How many clicks you got ?
Until now i don't know how much click the advertiser got from signature campaigns
I expect little to none because not many people likes ads and tend to ignore them
Roll Eyes

sig campaign i will join when i am good enough group
can make good money from these campaign!!
You need to increase your post quality first before joining campaigns Wink

I got about 6 to 8 clicks a day, but greatly varies. On some days it was even less. Note that it was only me posting.

Those clicks are highly targeted in this niche, and advertisers will pay the bucks for it believe me.
2440  Economy / Economics / Re: Google Ad Revenue on: November 01, 2015, 10:41:21 AM
Youtube is the best way to get the adsense account very easy. Surely they will accept you as long as you have original videos in your channel.

Youtube is easy to get google adsense account.

Yes that is true. Adsense account to get youtube is best compared to blogs because you need a quality posts in blogs to accept.

Yey, as long as your video is original then adsense will approve your account and you start earning money but one try to get adsense account from blogs then they need a quality posts.

Do you think guys that it is better to apply through website,
Rather than applying with youtube channels?
I know that using youtube is easier but the benefits are limited

After getting your account approved from youtube then you can also request for the your website to approve then it will be easy to get accepted your site.

Seems as an easy task but in practice it seems hard.
I am thinking to create some videos(need maybe any idea for this)
And making a website to put these videos there in a wordpress theme, is this a good idea to be accepted by Adsense?

You could, but you should still supply it with written content. Adsense is now very strict for websites, not unlike in the early days where you can easily get an account even with 2 to 3 articles on a Blogger blog.

Try filling your site with > 10k words with lots of pages, that'll get you approved.
