1981  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTCjam - Any Thoughts or Experiances on: February 27, 2016, 05:06:32 PM
So the main game is setting up of an investment plan to reap up high profit at low risk by investing in multiple listings and making a smart investment move which is my way of investing. Cheesy

Which would probably end up in a percentage of defaults > fully payed loans, and losses.

The idea is pretty simple but implementing it is a nightmare. Even those with A+ or B+ credit rating defaults in this environment where they've got nothing to lose except their identities, which I believe some are even fake.
1982  Economy / Services / Re: Wanted to sell my Site, needed your Sugesstion on: February 27, 2016, 03:29:30 PM
I've taken a look at your site and honestly, i doubt if it can sell at ~$100. Remember the most important factors in site valuation are content, traffic analytics, and domain authority.

I'd suggest you populate it with more quality articles and images, or even video reviews. Build links for about 6 months (especially from here at BTCtalk) or so. Install Google analytics because that's gonna be your primary selling point. Buy quite a few hundred site visits and social signals and drip it over the 6 months, continually increasing, because in actuality, organic traffic would be real slow over the first few months.

Probably after then you can sell the site for $250-$300, on Flippa, as you can always say that the site has the 'potential' to be monetized by casino affiliate referrals.

1983  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Martingale Profitable ??? on: February 27, 2016, 03:05:44 PM
theoretically speaking, martingale should be profitable. but in reality what happens is that you never have enough funds to cover the number of losses you sustain. so there is always a bad luck which leads to total loss.

I somehow disagree, as in the end it all evens out, and you might even end up at a greater loss if you can no longer continue betting double. It's just a matter of when to stop - and the best time of course is if you're in a profit.
1984  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you consider trading as gambling? on: February 27, 2016, 03:01:01 PM
Yes there is a lot of gamble in trading.
One diference is that if one is patient his losses from bad trade can be undone.
Some aspects of trading gives you more edge than in pure gamble but still,
everything is based upon a chance and luck.

There maybe some kind of a gambling factor, but in actuality, traders especially on stocks do invest ample amount of time for research into what they're buying into. Like the companies' plans over the year etc. That has a lot of impact on how well investors see the future performance of their stocks.

The Bit-Universe is no likely different. Any kind of breaking news almost always affect trading. So in here inside info is especially important.
1985  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: February 27, 2016, 02:21:08 PM
Hi all

Did you noticed that :

antpool hashrate is fluctuating and so is their total hashpower  share .
https://blockchain.info/fr/pools?timespan=24hrs

it used to be 25 % afor both antpool and F2P . Some says it's due to the debate between classic and core .

Any info about this ??

Probably there are other players that gets a bigger share from the pie every now and then, or huge players on AntPool (or HashNest) do maintenance of their hardware. IMO it's not related to the blocksize debate.

Can you hint us to which company the BYC rewards network will be first partnered to?  Smiley

I hope it's to a service like Honey. Discount coupons plus BYC rewards for purchases would be real awesome.

We are under a NDA until they are ready to announce, which will be very soon. I can disclose that they are a public company with a few million customers.

Okay, cool. I'd be growing my stash then.  Grin Grin Grin

May I ask how many BYC in today's difficulty is needed stored in the wallet for a 24hr mining?
1991  Economy / Speculation / Re: It is Buy time! on: February 26, 2016, 04:49:04 PM
yes, this month is perfect o buy bitcoins, later it will be too late, after halving, prices will be higher than it is now, so buy now or cry later,  i bought much as  i could now

From what I'm seeing, this level at $420-430 is the new floor. Although this might not last, considering the opposition of the CEO some large bitcoin companies vs core is strengthening.
1992  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin being used for illegal activities on: February 26, 2016, 08:11:29 AM
in a nutshell, this phenomena is explicit in the darknet without even asking about it as you visited them at once.
bitcoin (in general) is the only way to trade for illegal stuff. Tongue

Yeah, I suppose business went to boom in the deep web because of cryptocurrency, and silk road. I remember back then when the only way to buy stuff in there was via WU, and probably, it was like 90% of the offers that were pure scam.

1993  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin's Decentralization Matters on: February 25, 2016, 06:29:32 PM
Bitcoin was decentralized way back then, there's no point to it now, Chinese miners control it anyway  Grin Grin Grin

1994  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2015-16 Regular Season Discussion on: February 25, 2016, 06:26:27 PM
Warriors vs Heat, Warriors beat Miami (118 - 112) by four points lead very interesting match neck to neck match in the end Miami give up the match congrats Warriors.

Well GSW just got lucky in the last quarter.  Grin Grin Grin If MIA won it would have shown the GSW does bleed after all.

1996  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to explain bitcoin to tech-illiterate people. on: February 25, 2016, 01:20:41 PM
It's online money without a bank. The people using bitcoin sell and buy it, and that's how it keeps alive. That's how i explained it to my friends, and they got hold of the idea pretty quick.

I also said to my friends that bitcoin is such as e-money. We get it online and we can exchange it into fiat money so we can spend it, but they're still confused

If they're still confused, then it's impossible. I tried to do that too in a cashier when the person before me tried to payed with a credit card. It took 20 minutes and about 2 calls to the bank to have the transaction processed and during that time it piqued his interest bu can't understand it. They just don't get how crypto works.

1998  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Manny Pacquiao stands on same sex marriage on: February 25, 2016, 08:22:40 AM
Too much time on the ring might have had a toll on his head. He's entitled to opinion, but he should just keep to to himself, especially he's now an icon.
1999  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are there dark markets with bounty hunters/ vigilante justice? on: February 25, 2016, 05:59:37 AM
I've seen hitman services in the deep web. Yes they claim they're professionals but on the side note, these may be just scammers who wants your BTCBTCBTC.

I doubt there are vigilantes lurking on the deep web. They don't need to. I heard bounty hunting is 'legal' in the US.
2000  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ENRG]Energycoin New wallet v1.5 mandatory update before 23th March on: February 25, 2016, 01:45:01 AM
BTW, Is it my imagination, or is coindesk starting to run only Blockchain articles? At this rate might as well call it chaindesk.

Any ETA on ROKOS Flavors? I realize they have their own site and thread but I am wondering if anyone has any info cuz Im to lazy to look.

It is only your imagination, seems you're a bit paranoid.  Smiley

@ontopic I'm having a trouble syncing, it's too slow and stuck at around May last year. Do you have a downloadable blk file available?
