1801  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC hit $429....let the runup to the halving begin on: April 13, 2016, 03:05:55 PM
Guys these are some little ripples on the surface. Now you need to buckle up because the real pre-pump is going to start soon  Wink Speculators are still moving their cash back to Bitcoin from the alt coins and I expect the big waves to be happening in May.

Price still looks stable to me, just little bumps here and there. Would be awesome if we see positive disruptions this May like what you've been saying.
1802  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Alternative to shapeshift.io on: April 13, 2016, 07:27:46 AM
I recently came to know that https://changelly.com/ is also in operation of altcoin exhange like shapeshift but i haven't tried them personally as i used to use only shapeshift before. You can try changelly with small amount at first.

Seems the next most legitimate replacement for ShapeShift. Anyone knows of this MinerGate team?

Too bad for that hack. Let's hope ShapeShift does get back again.
1803  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2015-16 Regular Season Discussion on: April 13, 2016, 03:00:30 AM
Oklahoma City Thunder @ San Antonio Spurs, San Antonio Spurs have played very poorly in some games and I think Oklahoma is not a difficult opponent for the San Antonio Spurs but for safe I will make two bets on this game under 204.5 points and San Antonio Spurs - 9.5 points.

The under bet is good. you can always bet under on a spurs game. I don't think spurs will win this game. They are already happy in their spot and lately they show no real effor to win a game. They are more focus on resting their starters and prepping for the playoffs.

So far so good, now in the third quarters the total points are under. But Spurs lose around 9 points, i think OKC win on this match. Better live bet on spurs right now,

Nothing's at stake anymore for the Spurs. They'll rest this out and prep for the showdown VS Dallas/Portland/Memphis.  Remember last year? They bowed out first round. They wouldn't let that happen again.
1804  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be used for Good? on: April 13, 2016, 02:55:14 AM
As every coin has two sides, we will find two kinds of people one who will use it for good and the other who will use it for bad, it depends on individual how it uses it.

Same goes with fiat, people say money is evil but in fact people are evil and they simply use the money for their gains.
1805  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Overstock CEO so rich of Bitcoin takes medical leave of absence on: April 13, 2016, 02:53:23 AM
I think he deserves the break from work... hope he gets well very soon.

Hep C is a deadly disease, which may result in liver damage and even require transplant. Hospital transmission of Hep C is not uncommon, but definitely preventable.

If he gets real lucky it might even progress to Liver cancer.

Of course that's sarcasm.

So many responses here are for 'investing' and making more BTCBTCBTCs. Me? I'd splurge on anything. Take a vacation and shizz - it's free money after all.  Grin Grin Grin

Cavs now got the top seed for the east. Playoffs picture are closely finalizing and are just around the corner. Who are you guys predicting to get to the conference finals?
1808  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are you buying bitcoins? Why? on: April 12, 2016, 06:21:17 AM
I keep my bitcoins because i hope they'll increase in price in the future...
Yes this is also a reason for me. I also hope that the price in the future will increase much so I can make a nice profit. And this way I cannot spend my money on something else.
I'm pretty sure that most of us, Bitcoiners, have the same reason for buying Bitcoin. Well, I do hold my Bitcoin, and I was hoping that one day the price would reach the moon. It is not the main reason I bought Bitcoin, though. I can do a lot of things with Bitcoin instead of holding for decades.

Its a good price to buy bitcoins as the price of bitcoin has reduced a bit. as suggested bitcoin will increase soon as the halving of bitcoin takes place...

Bitcoin price is quite affordable. Even if you were not rich you can buy a little portion of bitcoin as most users here have predicted there will be a assured halving price hike.

And that is what fears me the most. Almost all people has this 'halving price hike' expectation, what if it didn't? The majority will lose confidence and sell out, viola, back to $200, mining becomes too unprofitable and everyone bows out - the worst case scenario.
1809  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you wish you could buy with btc ? on: April 11, 2016, 02:10:37 PM
The daily simple simple things such as buying food, clothes, buying a drink and something to eat in a cafe, gas for you car, and so the list goes on.

And later maybe we can choose as optional service to pay our bills with Bitcoin. I know certain sites already offer you to pay bills with Bitcoin, but I am talking about paying bills in Bitcoin directly to the companies.

You can get that all with a debit card linked to your bitcoin wallet. There are a lot of those here.

Fourth quarter has been the turning point of the recent GSW @ Spurs match. GSW able to dominate the early phase of that quarter even with no Curry on the floor. Much more after Curry landed on the remaining minutes. They are almost on the record. No point for them to play quietly in their next game against the Grizzlies. Others want Kerr to rest his starters next game because of playoffs, I see no sense here.

Will pass on the next set of games and will put a bucks on Jazz vs Lakers game the following day. I believe Kobe's last game will be more fun. Smiley

True, the priority for now and is to get a win, break the record, and seal GSW's legacy in the NBA till the next record breaker comes. Too bad for Spurs, but I guess these two teams will meet again in the conference finals, hopefully.
1812  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alts dropping is not the beginning of BTC bull market on: April 11, 2016, 01:57:45 AM
Investors exit to sit on sidelines. Confidence in Bitcoin is undermined by the decentrally insolvable block size dilemma and unknown consequences of the summer halving.
Well that's plausible I guess.  You certainly can't deny that bitcoin is stuck around 420, and there's something keeping it there.

It may be that it's just stable for now. The bearish alts market we're having might be caused by players having lost confidence on ETH, and has nothing to do with BTCBTCBTC at all.
1813  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: April 10, 2016, 10:28:08 AM
I am planing to put some money in hashnest cloudmining site. peoples giving positive feedback about it.
personally I don't believe in cloudmining sites. because most of them went ponzi. but something doing is better then nothing.
what you think guys. how much should I invest first?
Something is not always better than nothing. At this point I wouldn't jump into cloud mining especially not much knowledge on the subject or the platform.

IMO now is not the best time; I would wait until the S9 is announced and preorder is opened.  When this happens the market for S7 will go way down.  Do the math now and find out what price is most likely profitable for you; the S9 will have high markup initially, and the S7 exodus should drive the price down enough to make it the better buy.

Agree, this is not the best time. However, buying S9 immediately after the release, in my opinion is not the best solution. As I remember rates S5 and S7 they were very overpriced, with S9 I expect a similar situation.

Some people were able to cash in when S7 was first introduced to HashNest. They bought from store and immediately sold to the market at huge margins. I don't think next time would be so different, there are a lot of initial demand for this, especially for people who can only afford a fraction of the miner.
1814  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japan is starting to love bitcoin again... on: April 10, 2016, 10:08:33 AM
very interesting, it seems like yesterday when i read the article about Japan deciding to regulate bitcoin and make an official currency in the Guardian.

but i didn't thing that the effect of it would be felt this soon!

Most likely this isn't it. They haven't done anything like that to funnel in volumes. IMO this is just the Japanese people getting bullish and moving on from the Gox incident.
1815  Other / Off-topic / Re: In 20 years, what would you like to do with your bitcoin? on: April 10, 2016, 04:16:14 AM
I thinks it's most probable that bitcoin will reach the $1,000 mark again, what would I do? that would all depend on how much bitcoin I manage to save in 20 years, I would probably sell some but not all as I would need to keep some for my retirement if I get that old.

$1000 in 20 years is a bit low, that is if all goes well. We know everything is possible in this industry, in fact in 20 years bitcoin might have been replaced already. No one knows.

As for me if bitcoin is still here and valued a lot more than what it is today, I'd probably by myself a beach house.  Grin Grin Grin
1816  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you do with your idle coins? on: April 10, 2016, 01:46:44 AM
Idle coins will not give you great earnings. Waiting so much for the high price will really having a hard time. Much better if you will take advantage everytime the price will fluctuates. It will give you more than waiting. We can still save coins while doing that.

Exactly holding too long can never be profitable as if price drops in future the again you need to wait too long for price rise and that can be really time consuming.

You don't need to hold too long, you'd have to cash out when the prices rises, somewhere at the level you're already at a profit. When the price dips again you can buy back. That way of long term holding increases your holdings even more.

Much better if you will take advantage everytime the price will fluctuates
Short-term speculations — full-time job. It's easiear at growing market, but still a job. Takes time

Where'd you trade at?

1818  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best place to invest your bitcoin? on: April 09, 2016, 10:52:25 AM
Investments for your bitcoin can generally be separated into several categories.

(1) High risk, high return short-term trading strategy ("buy low, sell high"): But can you read the market well enough to generate the best trading strategy? For every buyer of a coin, there is a seller, so who is doing it wrong?
(2) Moderate risk, moderate return portfolio investment strategy e.g. Keza (http://www.getkeza.com) as an investment platform.  But you need to invest time in selecting the right investment portfolios based on the composition, underlying beta and future outlook.
(3) Low risk, low return secured lending strategy (collateralised lending).  But need to vet borrowers based on past track record too.

Avoid HYIP, Ponzi schemes, and fanciful, unrealistic promises.

https://www.producthunt.com/tech/keza
http://getkeza.com/ (It's free to apply for a Keza account)

Keza looks interesting. Where's the save-up and start your own business kind of investment here?

Is there somewhere complete list of all proven exchanges?
We could organized voting for the best exchange, or something like that.
No doubt Bittrex and Poloniex, are the best ones, but i wonder how good are C CEX, Bleutrade, Yobit and how they are in comparison, with newer exchanges. I believe first 10 places are very interesting for everybody.. Cool

No need, it's only BittrEX and Polo that would dominate. The other exchanges have only a fraction of their volumes.
1819  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Keza: Investing your bitcoin into index instruments abroad on: April 09, 2016, 10:51:32 AM
How secure is this? It's the first time I've heard of Keza and I'm utterly interested. The thing is there's no verifiable proof of who's behind the company in their website. Why is that?

back to back loss for san antonio I taught after losing from gsw they will come back strong but is a loss today I did not bet
in any game today hoping that san antonio will win maybe not a lucky day for them or they just preparing for a game on monday
to protect there homecourt the only team that did not have any loss from their homecourt.

But still, it's unreal though. San Antonio Spurs lose by Nuggets. I thought Spurs can win this match for increase their mentality after lose by warriors. But nope.

It's not unreal, playoffs is coming, Pops is resting the boys. You can expect resistance when the Spurs defend their home against the Warriors this next match. That game ain't a giveaway since the Spurs never likes to lose at home - well for this season they haven't and doesn't plan to.
