2021  Economy / Economics / Re: Today & Tonight, Gold is Getting KILLED on: February 20, 2016, 05:06:09 PM
This Statement is just to give a overview of the growing bitcoin market over the gold market.
Soon most of the gold investors would get into the bitcoin community.

Gold people are traditionalists, bitcoin and the bitcoin community are the exact reverse, so not in a long time will we see them in here.

This hard-fork is expected to include features which are currently being discussed within technical communities, including an increase in the maximum effective block size, to more than 2 MB and less than 4 MB, and will only be adopted with a broad support across the entire Bitcoin community. -We will run a SegWit release in production by the time such a hard-fork is released in a version of Bitcoin Core.

does this line imply 2MB + segwit  or just segwit

its not clear

I'm taking it as a both 2MB + segwit.
2023  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: where you get bitcoin news every day ? on: February 20, 2016, 01:51:07 PM
I think this forum is the best source for bitcoin information.

Yeah, you can get all information related to bitcoins on this forum, so its better to spend some time here on  daily basis, which would surely add value to our knowledge related to bitcoins.

There are plenty of news right here that are updated almost in real time. Best place.

Yeah, I'm even up-to-date with what's happening to the world because of the Politics and Society section.

IMO if it's the big news, CoinDesk should be enough. If you'd like to know the industry latest, I suggest you read Press Releases at CoinDesk too.
2024  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2015-16 Regular Season Discussion on: February 20, 2016, 11:52:51 AM
Toronto lost, GS is losing, NY lose by 11 points, OKC lost...

the NBA world is upside down

It's not upside down, it's real basketball. It's the NBA. Man the playoffs would be so exciting.
2025  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: block halving date on: February 20, 2016, 11:24:41 AM
My pants will be on fire when it happens, damn, i cannot wait for it, price doubling will be awesome.

No one can tell that as it can possibly go the other way around. Still, everything points out that there'll be an increase. Let's just hope so.
2026  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Brave Web Browser released for iOS - Bitcoins killer app? on: February 19, 2016, 11:26:14 PM
So it's gonna be a browser with wallet capabilities? Knowing that Apple is pretty much against any competitor of apple pay on their platform, IMO that product wouldn't last in there.
2027  Economy / Services / Re: STEAM GAME SERVICE ( BUY GAMES FOR 60% THE ORIGINAL PRICE) on: February 19, 2016, 02:17:54 PM
Do you offer this directly or are you in an escrowed platform, Bitify for example?
2028  Economy / Speculation / Re: 10 BTC. Will I be a millionaire by 2030? on: February 19, 2016, 02:10:18 PM
I reckon the price will double every two years. So 2030 is 14 years from now, the price will rise 120 fold. The price will be $ 50k then.

Therefore you need to have at least 20 bitcoin to be a millionaire then. But you only need 10 bitcoin to be millionaire in 2032.

By then you would have forgotten where you have stored your paper wallet, or your hard drive crashed, or your external wallet got stolen. Who knows, maybe BTC isn't even around anymore by then, who knows?
2029  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2015-16 Regular Season Discussion on: February 19, 2016, 12:55:14 PM
San Antonio Spurs vs Los Angeles Clippers. Damn, all prediction are lose lol. no one expect Clippers can win vs Spurs. Luckly Cavaliers can win vs Chicago bulls.
Yeah cant believe the clippers game went under i was expecting to score a total of 210 or more. Like as they said you win some you lose some .

Yeah they just tookover midway into the game. CP3 got 28, though Kawhi didn't play. This just says how exciting the playoffs are gonna be.

2031  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Washington Post: 'R.I.P. Bitcoin. It’s time to move on' on: February 19, 2016, 12:44:17 PM
What a hilarious comment. I don't know of Bitcoin ever dying. It is still thriving pretty well. The price keeps increasing and decreasing but it can still be used as a currency without the increase and decrease.

I see this is an article published in the midst of the blocksize debate. Well, what do we see now, bitcoin is already on the way back to it's value way before the debate issue. While it still isn't fully resolved, I'm pretty sure soon it's gonna be in everyone's backs to move on.
2032  Economy / Speculation / Re: My BTC Prediction for 2016.. on: February 18, 2016, 04:36:36 PM
The price is now steady at the $400 - $415 levels. Let's just hope it can handle the incoming sells. After that IMO the floor can go higher.
2033  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bernie Sanders will use bitcoin for economic growth? on: February 18, 2016, 04:32:26 PM
Recently there was some news about Bernie Sanders using alternatives to banks to improve the economic growth.

Do you think he was talking about bitcoin?

The blockchain, maybe yes. But bitcoin directly? I think not. Maybe he was referring to using alternatives to help banks improve the economic growth.
2034  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bytecent - Christopher Bouzy - Bytecent.com | BytecentBounty.com on: February 18, 2016, 11:19:36 AM

I decided to delay the soft launch until tomorrow 9PM EST. Today is Presidents day here in the USA and it is a national holiday. I want to give everyone an extra day to prepare for the update so there are no network problems. The update will be mandatory, so anyone running the old client will not be able to mine once their client has stopped mining. Stay tuned for further information...

I'm about to buy a few BYC from BittrEX and I'm curious if the exchange is aware of this mandatory update, are they? Just a little checking, I kinda don't like problems afterwards.
2035  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2015-16 Regular Season Discussion on: February 18, 2016, 11:13:34 AM
~snipped~

LOL with the news. Gilbert Arenas, much better you didn't join the Shanghai Sharks so you can still play with Kobe before he retire.

How come Lakers will pay you for 10 days. For charity yes but who will allow that lol.

Well I remember T-Mac joined the Spurs about 2 years ago right before the playoffs but didn't play. He left the team after that season as far as I know so I guess it's allowed.

The case here is he just wants to see Kobe's last home game. We he can just by courtside seats couldn't he?
2036  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google developers about Bitcoin: "The revolution of crypto currency" on: February 18, 2016, 11:06:24 AM
Very interesting. It's nice to see developers from the world's largest software company being excited about BTC. I wonder what's next. If Google could pay the webmasters who have an Adsense account with BTC, that would be fantastic. Am I dreaming, or is it possible?

You'd be dreaming for that.

@ontopic This is a good thing, I hope this could be the start and soon we'll be seeing in-app payments using BTCBTCBTC
2037  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price Increase Incoming. on: February 17, 2016, 02:41:01 PM
It is coming indeed. But we dont know when it is going to happen. It is hard to predict because it is a currency.
I hope later that it will rise for a long time so we can now invest and later we can sell it with profit. And buy some good stuff.

At last, we've been stuck at the $350-370 floor for a month. Now that there's progress with regards to the block size debate, I think this rise would go on for weeks.
2038  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you do with your idle coins? on: February 17, 2016, 02:09:16 PM
I am also confused. I have 0.9 BTC in my wallet. and was still unemployed. I was a little afraid to invest. so when I choose to save. but I want to be extra income, there are any suggestions from you guys?

Probably keep that still on your wallet. Everything's too unstable to invest now. Mining difficulty is rising like hell, LoanBase got hacked, the only good thing is the price is now rising.
2039  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ENRG]Energycoin PoE (Prove of Environment) Green Cryptocurrency on: February 17, 2016, 02:04:55 PM
Hi there, thanks for reminding and updating me. Do you have a roadmap or something like that for now?  Smiley Smiley
2040  Economy / Speculation / Re: Back to $ 400 soon? on: February 16, 2016, 11:26:33 AM
That will happen soon. I think Bitcoin will rise in the future. But we dont know how much bitcoin is going to rise.
Maybe it is now smart to invest in Bitcoin so you can have later profit if you are going to sell it in the future for a good price.

It's kinda hard to view it that way considering that the price is fighting for its stand on the $400 baseline as of the moment. Let's just hope we're right and there's gonna be an upward trend towards the halving.
