2041  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: February 16, 2016, 11:21:50 AM
How successful are u guys with lending?

What kind of lending are you referring to, p2p like in LoanBase or btcjam or directly thru this forum?

Not so lucky with p2p here, I'm at a negative net. Really sucks when even reputable borrowers with A+ credit default on their loans.
2042  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price Increase Incoming. on: February 15, 2016, 11:10:54 PM
It's below $400 again - right when the price was trying to recover. So, alright people, tell me who jinxed it?  Angry Angry
2043  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTCJam and Loanbase on: February 15, 2016, 11:02:27 PM
Hi All -

For p2p lending, I've found BTCjam and Loanbase. Which service has a better reputation?

Are there any other sites like those two that I should check out?

Thanks!

IMO Loanbase is a joke, they tried a last ditch attempt to save their business by buying and hopefully silencing the hacker. Of course, the latter is just milking them.

Mine was

Action Type: Web login
Browser: Firefox
Platform: windows
IP Adress: 108.162.246.152
Location: United States; Washington; Seattle

You should take a look if something's changed in your account though.
2045  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: February 15, 2016, 10:54:00 PM
It's because E-Coin cards are enrolled as prepaid cards. Uber does not like prepaid cards, only debit or credit cards.

Too bad, thought it was a way to directly get my BTC used for Uber. Going back to have them sent to my debit card then.
2046  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in Deadpool on: February 15, 2016, 10:52:08 PM
I'm gonna watch it this week, thanks for the notice I'll be looking for that sign. Cheers!  Smiley
2047  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: February 15, 2016, 04:11:29 PM
Tried a virtual card with Uber, I can add the card on the account but when I'm about to use it it says card details invalid. Any workaround on this? Thanks
2048  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: martin Shkreli loses 37,000 bitcoins (10 transactions = $15 million) yesterday. on: February 15, 2016, 02:26:12 PM
quote from wikipedia

Quote
In accordance with Shkreli's business plan, Turing acquired Daraprim (pyrimethamine) – an FDA-approved therapeutic since 1953 – for US$55 million on August 10, 2015, from Impax Laboratories. The drug's most prominent use as of late 2015 was as an anti-malarial and an antiparasitic, in conjunction with leucovorin and a sulfonamide, to treat patients with toxoplasmosis, including in AIDS populations. The patent for Daraprim expired in 1953, and no generic version was available. The Turing–Impax deal included the condition that Impax remove the drug from regular wholesalers and pharmacies, and so in June 2015, two months before the sale to Turing was announced, Impax switched to tightly controlled distribution. In keeping with its strategy for pricing in the face of limited competition (see above), Turing maintained the closed distribution.

On September 17, 2015, Dave Muoio of Healio, an in-depth clinical information website for health care specialists, reported on a letter from the Infectious Diseases Society of America and the HIV Medicine Association to executives at Turing, questioning a new pricing for Daraprim. The price of a dose of the drug in the U.S. market increased from US$13.50 to US$750 per pill, overnight, a 5,556 percent increase.

what the fuck? it's only right that the whole world should hate this guy.

All the world hate him, the way he smirks, ugh I just wanna punch him in the face. Besides, you can get that drug abroad for a about a dollar as a generic.

S4 redemption period is on

https://enforum.bitmain.com/bbs/topics/2847

You can't anymore sell your hashrate is hashnest.

If someone wants to sell his S4 account to me, PM me. I'm only interest about redemptin one S4. Escrow ok.

Edit: it cost more than 400 USD to ship ONE S4. Forget it.

Is that with all the taxes and stuff? I'm looking to get 1 too. It's a used one why does it cost too much?
2050  Economy / Speculation / Re: 400$ was the top on: February 15, 2016, 11:15:13 AM
i think we can reach $500 at this week Roll Eyes
everyday bitcoin will growing more stonger
That's way too optimistic of a look at the price.  The last times we were heading up we found resistance first at 475, then at 465, and finally at 425.  It's going to take a hell of a lot of work to bust through all of those points, and if we do hit 500 so many people are going to sell their gains as fast as they can.  I think we'll be seeing a nice little price raise through the coming time, but I'm not so sure we'll be heading for anything close to 500 for quite a while.

Well from what we've seen with BTC I think we can't really say that $500 is entirely impossible for the week. Although IMO it's a little bit too soon to be of value, as it might tank immediately.
2051  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2015-16 Regular Season Discussion on: February 15, 2016, 11:07:46 AM
Now that the ALl-Star weekend is over, let's talk about the incoming CHI vs CLE. IMO Cleveland would win this, CHI has not been in the form lately.
2052  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You DO NOT NEED 6 confirmations. on: February 15, 2016, 11:04:01 AM
Even exchanges go with 1 or 2 Confirmations now-a-days....
you're talking old school Cheesy
even most of exchanges go with 2 confirmation, there's does exist some exchanger that require 6 confirmation and i've seen few debit card provider need 6 confirmation too

3 would be the safest bet, but that's for online deposits kind of transaction. For those simple on-purchases 3 would already be too long to wait.
2053  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: And now they're saying a hard fork could entail legal repercussions. on: February 14, 2016, 11:01:01 PM
It is not possible.  Bitcoin is a decentralized situation and it is it not possible for a lawsuit.  Who do you sue?

The core devs? Maybe the foundation? What a joke, these guys never really understood how bitcoin works do they.
2054  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC going up for 500$ again ? ::) on: February 14, 2016, 03:31:45 PM
Yes it will go to 500 $ soon, since it's nearly 400$, might drop a bit but will rise up anytime soon

It's officially over $400 yet again. Let's hope this one's for good. I think the focus is now away from the block size debate.
2055  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins in Steam coming soon... on: February 14, 2016, 03:29:51 PM
Anyone knows when this will be up? Kinda been looking forward for this coming Steam summer sale.
2056  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: February 13, 2016, 05:52:03 PM
It continues and is accelerating. Average block generation time is down to 500 seconds with six days to go until
it´ll be adjusted to 600. Total hashrate over 1.2 Exahash/s. At the present rate of increase it could double in the next two to three months. Time will tell.

  • Difficulty History

    Nov 11 2015   65,848,255,180   5.77%   471,360,171 GH/s

That's too bad, now especially the price is stagnant at sub-$400. It's eating up all the profits. If it goes on like this even the S5s will be pushed out of the market.
2057  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Recently found Safecex on: February 13, 2016, 05:50:44 PM
Is the owner setting that name as an intended pun?

Makes it look to me like the exchange is just a joke.

Anyway, moving along.
2058  Other / Off-topic / Re: How would you help with bitcoin? on: February 11, 2016, 09:56:07 PM
There's no need for the 'if you have a lot of money statement' if you'd like to help the commmunity.

I for once give discounts to BTC payments on my store, and tell my customers it's my preferred mode of payment.
2059  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bytecent - Christopher Bouzy - Bytecent.com | BytecentBounty.com on: February 11, 2016, 04:04:12 AM
Sorry for the stupid question, Bytecent Bounty pay or not pay? I only got 0.20 BYC.

Depends where you are from actually. 1st tier countries >>>> others in rewards. But it does pay, trust me.
2060  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why would customers use Bitcoins? on: February 11, 2016, 04:01:48 AM
Because the merchant advocates using bitcoin?

Consider this, Paypal deducts about 3% plus a fixed fee for the seller. Overtime this amount is significant us merchants. By experience, if I can get people to buy using btc I do push them to, because it's beneficial for me as a seller.
