2121  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your trading strategy? on: January 28, 2016, 12:41:26 AM
Good strategy would be to listen if everyone talking about buying, sell it and opposite!

Well that doesn't work all the time IMO. What's better is you do not trade all your coins at one instant, leave like 10% in the wallet like what you do in gambling.
2122  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We touch the 4 tx per second ! on: January 28, 2016, 12:16:15 AM
I'm not to happy getting closer to the limit but it's good we are gaining popularity.

True, we need immediate action on this block size issue. Otherwise we'll catch a halt. What's the consensus on this again?

*Ahem* JJ *Ahem* Semi-distributed pool *Ahem*  Grin Grin Grin

I am more than willing to restart the pool, but the RPC functions required to make the pool work were removed from Bytecent wallet. I have had new and updated code ready to go for months, but it now appears that for some reason Bytecent feels the semi-distributed mining system is pointless.

Too bad, I was kind of waiting for that semi-distributed pool.

The distributed pool was a good idea at the time, but for various reasons I decided to go another route. Once we are confident the latest version of Bytecent is stable and ready for primetime, we will implement the next phase of our plan. We will be introducing our "Bonus Rewards" feature, which will allow miners to receive bonus Bytecent for participating in the network. It will yield better rewards than the distributed pool.

Cool, I will be waiting for that then. Congrats on the latest accomplishments.  Smiley
2124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi can't be just one... on: January 27, 2016, 11:18:38 PM
A blockchain can easily be run with just one person, just look at altcoins... From everything we know er're led to believe that Satoshi was only one individual, but we can be wrong.

What if Satoshi is a code name for a project of some sort? That would be awesome.

But anyway, I do believe satoshi's least 2-3 persons.
2125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is unsustainable, according to Vice on: January 27, 2016, 11:18:32 PM
but now Bitcoin enthusiasts have also given up on the idea of Bitcoin becoming A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System.

only certain misguided smallblockers have.

The rest of us are as excited as ever about Bitcoin.

True, who said we've given up? Bitcoin is still young, anything still is possible IMO.
2126  Economy / Speculation / Re: All alts going crazy, people are fed up!!!! on: January 27, 2016, 02:47:48 PM
IMO this might be related to the Cryptsy issues. Crazy volumes on the other exchanges.
2127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Sport To Gamble on: January 27, 2016, 02:37:56 PM
NBA, I love to bet on the NBA. Games here are very unpredictable and very fun to watch.
2128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your favourite gambling game ? on: January 27, 2016, 02:36:18 PM
Sometimes playing blackjack is always fun and the simple game. But my favorite game is sport betting and dice.
Recomended to play dice on betcoin.tm are the best site for dice game.

Have you ever tried 64blocks? It's a cool rendition of dice.

Aside from dice and sports, I also like plinko.
2129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC in your country on: January 27, 2016, 01:17:27 PM
We have a few dedicated exchanges here in my country, and quite a few shops too. 1 BTC atm. The scene is just starting to develop, hopefully a lot of people would be drawn in too.  Smiley
2130  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Up Like Trump on: January 27, 2016, 12:48:46 PM
Well he is smart and he woudnt be rich if he is not strategic..

Donald's dad was rich.  The family fortune has underperformed the market under Junior's mismanagment.

His dad wasn't that rich.  When he died in 2000 with five children, his businesses were estimated to be worth 250-300 million.

Donald Trump is worth 4.5 billion....

Well 250-300 million is still rich. He's good with business and investments, not so sure with the political principles though.
2131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2016: Revenge of the Alts on: January 27, 2016, 12:35:44 PM
according to that picture, it's the chinese that are pumping all these alts

it is the chinese who are pumping all these coins  Grin

Well we all look unto the Chinese whenever something comes up do we?

On the other note, I do not really think those alts mentioned would rise up from their graves.
2132  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2015-16 Regular Season Discussion on: January 27, 2016, 12:19:55 PM
Cleveland vs Phoenix is a free win. Even Philly got a W on the suns so let's expect the Cavs would simply roll over them.

HOU vs SAS is a good game to watch.
2133  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has Donald Trump made comments on bitcoin? on: January 27, 2016, 12:18:15 PM
Donald is the kind of investor that doesn't look at things like Bitcoin as being a worthy investment. It's basically a traditional investor that is looking for solid/safe investments with low risk potential, but with a stable return. Bitcoin doesn't fit in this picture.

He's exactly like that old guy Warren Buffet. I wonder what his views are regarding the blockchain tech - of course, as a politician.
2134  Economy / Speculation / Re: "bitcoin goes up when stocks go down" on: January 27, 2016, 11:58:00 AM
The bitcoin price is being calculated with accordance to the value of dollar. So value of bitcoin increase even if dollar price increases. This indicates the direct relation between stock market and bitcoin price. The bitcoin too goes down when stocks go down

Well your logic is thinking about the two entities literally. BTCBTCBTC price doesn't work that way and I do not believe there's a direct relationship at all. Indirectly, though, it might be possible.
2135  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptsy - International Customers on: January 26, 2016, 03:42:31 PM
That sucks man, as far as I know we all have to wait for the settlement there in the US.

That would mean months at least, I suppose.

2136  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: January 26, 2016, 03:02:13 PM
Hi guy, At the moment should i buy s5 or s7? Which one give more profit now? Pls give me some suggest abt that. Thank you.

Not sure if at the moment (as in today) is a good time to buy anything. You may want to wait for this to take place first:

Estimated Next Difficulty:   120,576,340,401 (+6.37%)
Adjust time:   After 117 Blocks, About 17.5 hours

After the difficulty has rise. Which one should u prefer to get?

Think I´ll abstain from recommending anything. Except maybe; when in doubt do nothing. At this point I´d personally rather just buy BTC than hand over money to cloud mining.

True, the difficulty is just so nuts nowadays. Add that to the decreasing BTC value, profits are so squeezed out right now.
2137  Economy / Speculation / Re: Another 10% Cut Incoming on: January 26, 2016, 12:19:08 PM
400 is the new 200

If the price rises in the future, the 400 will become a new 200. I expect the price to be over $1200 after the halving.

People talked about over 1200 $ to be before 2016. For me that is way to optimistic. I would be satisfied if we reach 1000 $.
And as we see we are around 400 $ last months, definitely 400 is new 200, hope we will rise and maintain price, I'm not so interested in spikes and fast earning.

Hopefully we'll see a continuous rise from here till the halving. This is definitely the year for btc.
2138  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin, dogecoin, and litecoin the same ?? on: January 26, 2016, 11:26:21 AM
I want to ask whether Bitcoin, dogecoin, and litecoin the same ??
If all three are still dalah the founders if it is different ??
Where do you think is more promising among bitcoin, dogecoin, and litecoin ?? Is there a more promising more besides these three ??

You could argue that if even the name of the payment network is different that makes it different even if the code is the same.  Its a philosophical problem and technical one.

More than that it's a matter of preference. Of course, if you'll talk about security BTCBTCBTC's the lead.
2139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: January 26, 2016, 11:23:42 AM
Not many sellers when Homestead due in a few weeks. A 30-50% drop after that wouldn't be a surprise but this isn't just another coin. Didn't Litecoin go from .80c to $50 - wait till the Chinese get a hold of this.

*dream*  Roll Eyes

Hope we can reach $50 but if we put the same growth of LTC on ETH it's something like 6250%  Grin

With more development laid out this year something a 1000% percent isn't really impossible. But $50? I'm not so optimistic.
2140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2015-16 Regular Season Discussion on: January 26, 2016, 11:21:16 AM
Warriors running the show so far. They really look unstoppable this season. I thought the Spurs would be the biggest challenge for them but doesn't even look close. Would be surprised if Spurs can claw back in the second half.

Of course knowing Pop he wouldn't let his team tactics be known to Kerr. This game is a ruse for him, IMO. Very nice performance from GSW though.
