2021  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Around 4 Million Bitcoins lost forever!! on: December 01, 2017, 11:25:55 PM
Just came across this article today says that 4 million out of the total supply of 21 million have already been lost due to various reasons. The most popular reason are the HODLers who are holding it for quite long. These people have reduced the supply of bitcoins in market which has upsurged the price of bitcoin so much. Satoshi surely is the biggest HODLer himself.

Here is the article : http://fortune.com/2017/11/25/lost-bitcoins/

Interesting.Satoshi is the biggest holder for various reasons.The day his bitcoins are moved will pave the way for the useless critics to sink bitcoin or claim they'e satoshi.He definitely can't move the bitcoins on an exchange for privac .4 millions are still less in what is being lost in the addresses used solely for the lost bitcoins.Forgetting the keys and losing access to own bitcoins should count to another 4 million I guess.
2022  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Where to buy Mining equipment? on: November 25, 2017, 01:18:48 PM
Hi.

New to mining and new to forum, but I try to start a post here.

I have been reading about mining the last days. And found out that I want to go for the R4 and APW5. I think this is a goog choice when it comes to price, hash rate and noice.
But I dont know where to buy. I found out after reading on different forums, that there is a lot of scam pages out there. The only page I trust after reading, is bitmain.com.
But they do not sell the R4 and APW5.

Where do you buy equipment?
Any other alternatives for silent mining?

Do you think this page is safe? http://yunita.store/new-antminer-r4-hash-rate-86ths-psu-inside.html
https://www.scamadviser.com/check-website/yunita.store

Thanks!
Please be careful using random websites for ordering miners.Bitmain has like 100 unofficial partners which they claim to be officially related with.I would suggest,ask someone who has bought a miner in your country for valid sources.Lot of websites claim to deliver worldwide but after the payment only they realise they can't.Your money will be stuck forever.
2023  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Fee too low on: November 25, 2017, 01:15:50 PM
I recently sent a transaction from blockchain.info to a hardware wallet with a super low. It's been stuck for 2 weeks and I don't know what to do. Here is the transaction 58272e1855a4bb94ba8913f12fc87f1446f14028e7f1719a9832fba70e8972f7

Thanks for your help!

Happy Thanksgiving!
Surprised that the transaction isn't dropped from the mempool regardless.Blockchain,info doesn't update their fee structure according to the current network congestion. I don;t know how often they refresh their fee structure but you should always checkout the fees at the current time depending on the size of your transaction before broadcasting it.Have you tried accelerating the transaction by one of those free services ?
2024  Economy / Goods / Re: Need a residential US address on: November 25, 2017, 01:06:51 PM
Basically its black friday and there's loads of deals on Nike. I need it to be shipped to SG but they don't take reshipping address anymore.

If you're both trusted and interested, PM me how much you would take to reship to Singapore. US address only please. I'll evaluate all of the offers and contact whoever I choose. I'll ship the goods to the address first so you're basically just shipping it to SG.
Been through the same.I tried to buy a phone from a friend of mine located in the States because I though the Black Friday deal was too good to miss.Long story short : Never received the Phone.Friend mailed me the phone using UPS services and it never made it to my country.
I don't know how good other shipping services be but be careful,you might as well pay some bucks more and buy the item locally instead of all the international shipping hassle.
2025  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: 🔥 PumpDestroyer 🔥 - pump and dump trading bot - Yobit and Bittrex on: November 25, 2017, 01:03:50 PM
Who ever is going to try it should take care as the recommendation are given by the newbie who have just opened the account and posting 2nd message about this bot giving assurance but still not any high level member or reputed member have giving any confirmation or clarity of this bot. So take care if anyone is going to try it as it may be scam.

I offered some free licenses in return for some feedback. No high level members got back to me. Would you be interested?

To start with,'High Level Members' doesn't justify anything.In the forum where high level accounts can be easily bought/sold,you can take them for granted.I honestly think you should rather target actual traders who use the mentioned services.Try trading discussion section for legitimate trader queries.
2026  Economy / Gambling / Re: Lucky Bity - New Bitcoin Casino on: November 25, 2017, 12:59:46 PM
Lucky Bity Casino is a top notch place to enjoy all of your favorite casino games. You can play them at home on your computer or even out and about when using your mobile device.

If I would get a satoshi for every casino started with the initials "LUCKY and BIT" since last two years, I would nearly make a bitcoin..Which gambling site doesn't tell us that they're the Top Notch place to enjoy all the games ? Playing games from home or computer doesn't matter,what matters is the ability to resolve customer queries.You can only be a top notch casino if the community wants you to be.
2027  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Developing a crypto currency gambling portal on: November 25, 2017, 12:43:52 PM
Hi

Skilled in Actionscript, Unity (C#), HTML/CSS, Javascript, JQuery, Ajax, PHP, MySQL, MongoDB.
Server i will use a DigitalOcean droplet (OS Debian GNU/Linux) since i have experience using it on past developments.
ReactJs,Server-Side rendering,Functional Components,Redux,GraphQl are the new tech that is being used by the web community in 2017.Long gone are the jquery days.

Advertising i have used everything from Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Bidvertiser, SEO. Previous budgets i've managed are upto $100,000 so i have vast experience in marketing.

Finance is no problem i'm quite happy to finance everything untill its paying for itself. One of the games i own has over 300,000 installs worldwide with a $1,000,000 turnover since launch. Im fortunate now to be able to start a new project without any time/financial limitations.
That's good to hear.Must admit you will end up putting a lot of money and efforts to market the website rather developing it.

As a gambler myself i could not find a community website that is dedicated to crypto gambling and the ones i have found are just quick buck affiliate link sites with no engaging content to keep me coming back hence why this idea came to mind. A true portal where i can visit games, discuss, review & a general hangout spot for people like myself.
[/quote]
Check out my signature,you'd know what a great bitcoin gambling website looks and feels like.  Wink

The affiliate aspect i need to look into detail obviously i dont want to fund it myself forever it will need to pay for itself longterm. Is there a reason you believe affiliate links wont be enough? I'm hesitant in using ads & memberships for revenue as it narrows the userbase hugely & the idea of a public ad free/sign up free portal is the aim.
That is not that important at the moment.

An option could be affiliate, donations, sponors on the faucet.
I'm interested to know how it will turn out to be ,if you need support for any technical jobs like deploying,managing,maintaining the website,I will be happy to help. Smiley
2028  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Searching for your opinions for small RealEstate project on: November 25, 2017, 12:38:31 PM
This project look very great and the idea look nice to me. I will definitely invest in it if you are genuine and the team behind it are men of good characters. I think to raise good money you only need to get a good marketing manager that will promote your project for you on both bitcointalk forum and twitter. Another thing that I will advise you is that you should not list your token on exchange site during ico.

Thank you for your positive feedback. We do not plan to list our token on exchange during ICO. We actually work on the prove of our men.
Speaking technically,how would you even put your token on an exchange during the ICO when the tokens aren't initially distributed ? As far as I know,exchanges don't accept that.Maybe the few not reputed one's do but the good exchanges do accept tokens on after the ICO is over.Prove or not,ICO is just the way to sponsor the project and money making for investors.
2029  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can the government or banks create their own crypto? on: November 25, 2017, 11:57:15 AM
With the likes of government , NSA ,banks etc..Could they coordinate into creating their own crypto to defeat Bitcoin?
Creating something like 'Legal Bitcoin' , invest and pump, make it succesfull? Make markets aware
Maybe even create their own cryptography where they could still be able to decypher code if they needed to?
They won't defeat bitcoin,they will just force policies which will make people stop using bitcoins and use their coin instead.They government will always control the chain and will have the control over the transactions.So don't expect another "bitcoin" from the government.To  simplify it further,government would levy small service charges on each transaction.Also their mining will be private : )
2030  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud bet delayed withdrawals on: November 25, 2017, 11:02:25 AM
I'm not saying they are scammers. I'm just saying that it is taking unusually long and was wondering if anyone else has the same experience.

If they said and mentioned already about the problem then you must wait until it resolved from their side. I dont't get why someone will suggest to open a scam accusation eventually when they said already the they have some error.
You should only open a scam accusation when they stop replying to your inquiries about your withdrawal.
Not really! Did you read my above post ? The reason that they gave that is the funds are delayed because a third party is involved could have a number of reasons.Eventually,I don't know how cloudbet would react if the third party disappears tomorrow.I just want to make sure my deposits are in a safe hands.
2031  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud bet delayed withdrawals on: November 25, 2017, 10:59:55 AM
I placed a withdrawal around 6 hrs ago and they still haven't processed anything. It's not even in blockchain yet. They're saying that theres a problem with their third party processor.

Is this the same case for you guys??
Third party processor ? Who is their third party processor ? Isn't bitcoin made to destroy the need for third parties when a transaction is involved ? Cry I thought it would be too early to open a scam accusation but this reason is not acceptable.Does that mean cloudbet doesn't have the control over the funds people deposit on their website ? Shady as hell! Please open a scam accusation in a specified format and do mention their exact words.

--snipe--
Don't think the justification was needed when they are number of scam accusations opened against them already.
2032  Economy / Reputation / Re: Top trust members on: November 25, 2017, 09:12:28 AM
Any list of trusted members to trade with without fear? I will appreciate your recommendations. Thank you.
Yes and No.
My list of trusted members shouldn't be used as a reference to make your trust lists.It's highly subjective and only can be concluded from your experiences.Forum's green trust and ratings is the preliminary step to build your assumptions but shouldn't be taken for granted.Green trusted members have scammed in the past taking their trust as an advantage and there are certainly chances they might do it again.Better yet,always use an escrow which again brings you back to square one  "which escrow to trust". ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
2033  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin growth trend on: November 25, 2017, 09:04:48 AM
Some rumorus about Bitcoin going to 10k before Dec2017... is possible?

i'm shock for bitcoin in this morning the price worth more 7500usd i think even have an competition between bitcoin cash and bitcoin its possible to reach the price value upto 10k before the of this year, my opinion before the of this bitcoin price 8000usd upto 9000usd but in month of december moving upto 10k the bitcoin price value,
Yes,it is over 8k now.The only thing which surprised me this morning was transactions were really fast and fees were a bit low compared to the last few days.Although ended up paying 5usd for a small transaction size which is kinda sad.Waiting for the system to scale where the fees were just like in the good old days.I don't care what bitcoin prices peek upto  but paying transaction fees like service fees is not acceptable.

Some rumorus about Bitcoin going to 10k before Dec2017... is possible?
Fuck the rumours,fuck 10k and fuck you money hungry fucks who wish to get rich in 2 days.Get out of this forum.
2034  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What is the best coin to mine on: November 25, 2017, 08:04:06 AM
The answer is completely subjective,it's all your interest.Personally,I would advise you to mine  PoS based coin or the existing coins which are moving towards the trend.You have a descent configuration.Check out nodeJs based software's for mining good coins with low electricity consumption.You won't really be getting a much out of it but if the coin does have  a future,you will surely hold a lot.

There are web sites opened for this. It does not make much sense to me to think of constantly mining a different coin. It may be more logical to make a decision on a coin and its mining.
The websites can always get paid and promoteshit coins.They are not a reliable sources of information.
2035  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any bounty campaigns for Newbies? on: November 24, 2017, 09:13:38 PM
Hello guys,

I was searching for some bounty campaigns that accept newbies like myself. Do you know of any that recently started ( in the last 7 days for example ). It's a mess in the Bounty thread..

Goldcoin (GLD) is always hiring super talent, if you are a super talent hit me up! Cool
What is a super-talent ?  Roll Eyes
If it means sharing a post on twitter and linking facebook pages,please do hit me up as well I'm a super-talent too! Also don't tell me you're not paying me in tokens because that doesn't seem to behaving any value right now.
2036  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Need some advice and guidance for a project on: November 24, 2017, 09:11:24 PM
I'm a part of a startup company in the real estate field, and we've developed a platform for buying and selling new homes and apartments that saves a lot of time and paperwork to the developer and the buyer.
We are thinking about shifting our platform and implementing it on a blockchain, and would like to hear as many opinions, advice and guidance as possible before making a decision.
That is a good first step! Welcome to the world of crypto.By taking a decision to implement something on the blockchain,you need to consider a lot of things.Like do you have such talented developers who can take the modal and implement it ? Think twice,do you really need to put it on the blockchain ?

The biggest problem with buying a new apartment is that there are so many 3rd parties involved - to verify the identity of both sides, to verify ownership, escrow, mortgage, loans and more. It is a long and painful process that can be reduced significantly if all the proof and verification is all in one (digital) place.
Interesting!How are you planning to make money ? I mean if you start your own public chain,what is your revenue modal ? Do you want to target the real estate market only around your region or globally ? It wouldn't work out globally because rules,laws differ everywhere.

The question is - How and what can be implemented on a blockchain? only the important documents like the deed of ownership? or maybe every single document and contract that is involved?
What would the wallet contain? coins that allows transactions of documents and contracts? or maybe each wallet represents an asset (apartment / house) and contain all of the relevant documents and info?
How can we build this system without involving 3rd parties to verify the information of the buyer/developer?

As you can see, we're at level 0 here and need some input and info to organise our thoughts and goals about what is possible and what is not, and we don't quite know how to formulate the questions we need to ask in order to build a work plan and goals.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advanced.

There are lot of ways of doing it,implementing it is not a problem,making stable income from it is.I'm too bored to explain it in detail right now,please send me a message if you wish yo know more.
2037  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: New Chrome extension to track the current activity period on: November 24, 2017, 08:58:36 PM
r the free javascript lesson. For one who doesn't even know how to save a Chrome Extension and check it you surely know an awful lot.
What does knowing JavaScript has anything to with downloading chrome extension ? As long as your logic is concerned,I'm pretty sure you're a good programmer. Undecided
I don't know how did you take the criticism but I didn't intend to offend your feelings because you have globals and no strict modes which is not my business anymore.
2038  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: New Chrome extension to track the current activity period on: November 24, 2017, 08:44:04 PM
Can we somehow have a look at the source code of the extension ? Without a doubt installing any chrome plugins can put your browsing activities to risk from data breach to wallet hacks.Making the source code open to public may be a nice way to show that it's all legit.
As long as it's proven to be fully secure, I'm not going to download it.

Watching thread...
How will I know if this is not going to rob my bitcointalk account?
I checked the extension source code and looks like there is nothing wrong with it.
But you shouldn't trust me aswell. So if you want, you can check everything by yourself with this "Chrome extension source viewer" extension[1].

The way it works is very simple. Here is the source code:
Code:
var months = ['Jan', 'Feb', 'Mar', 'Apr', 'May', 'Jun', 'Jul', 'Ago', 'Sep', 'Oct', 'Nov', 'Dec'];
var base = 1510080000;
var delta = 1210000;
var span;

function formatDate(d) {
    return d.getDate() + " " + months[d.getMonth()] + ' ' + d.getFullYear();
}

function diff(d) {
    d = Math.floor(d);
    if (d > 172800) {
        return Math.floor(d / 86400) + ' days'
    } else if (d > 7200) {
        return Math.floor(d / 3600) + ' hours'
    } else if (d > 120) {
        return Math.floor(d / 60) + ' minutes'
    } else {
        return d + ' seconds'
    }
}

function setup() {
    var coll = document.getElementsByTagName('table')[1].rows[0].cells;
    var dObj = coll[coll.length - 1].children[0];
    dObj.innerHTML += ' <span style="color:#e00000;font-size:80%;font-weight:bold" id="sp_btt_ext"></span>';
    span = document.getElementById('sp_btt_ext');
}

function main() {
    var elapsed = new Date() / 1000;
    var previous = Math.floor((elapsed - base) / delta) * delta + base;
    var next = previous + delta;
    var perc = (elapsed - previous) / delta;
    var dPrev = new Date(previous * 1000);
    var dNext = new Date(next * 1000);
    span.title = 'Current period started ' + formatDate(dPrev) + ' (' + diff(elapsed - previous) + ' ago)\nNext period starts ' + formatDate(dNext) + ' (in ' + diff(next - elapsed) + ')';
    span.innerHTML = (perc * 100)
        .toFixed(2) + '%';
}
setup();
main();
window.setInterval(main, 1000);

Looks fine.I don't know how much do I trust the chrome extension code viewer.I don't know what javaScript world OP lives in the code certainly looks outdated  Tongue
No offence to OP but gone are the days we used to use 'var' for declaring variables.Anyway that's off-topic,don't understand the constants declared globally.I don't know what to make of it but if the code is generated from the right sources,there isn;'t any harm in using it.
2039  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: New Chrome extension to track the current activity period on: November 24, 2017, 08:28:59 PM
So yesterday I got my old "RedGolpe" account hacked, no big deal as I had no significant relationships with the nice guys on this forum, just locked it (apparently the hacker didn't even have time to use it) and created a new one. Of course, as a newbie, my post count was zero again so I checked how to improve it and came across all the "activity" thing.
I don't get the correlation between your account getting  hacked and you creating a chrome extension for counting activities ? Eitherway,this will be utilised by account farmers only.

Long story short, I made a small Chrome extension that allows a user to track the current activity period for my personal use, but based on comments here I thought someone else might be interested, so I just made it public.

Let me know if you find it useful Smiley
Can we somehow have a look at the source code of the extension ? Without a doubt installing any chrome plugins can put your browsing activities to risk from data breach to wallet hacks.Making the source code open to public may be a nice way to show that it's all legit.
2040  Economy / Gambling / Re: Investing in btc casinos on: November 24, 2017, 08:17:17 PM
Well I think investing in bitcoin casino's are as good as investing in trading sites.
much better to study it first especially those house's that you will going to place your money, not all is the same
trading is much faster in terms of roi if you knew which project are going to support.
Yes you must study first because investing in bitcoin casino is too risky and you need a lot of knowledge before going there. Gambling and trading have different ups and downs but one thing for sure, if you don't take a risk you'll never win and the more risky it is the more income you'll get. So study the one that you think will give you large percentage of winning even if its investing in casinos or trading in market, any of two will give you big income as long as you have big capital.
The only possible risks you can take over gambling are control your money when you don't have any.Think technically,the roll is going to be random,no strategy,no skills just pure luck.What are you taking risks for ? This isn't share market that you choose to go with a certain decision because you studied the history and predicted the outcome.

With a good casino investment, profit is guaranteed over the long term.
Not guaranteed! House always wins,agree but there are instabilities which come from time to time.Period
