It will be interesting to watch Tsitsipas as well as Medvedev, Rublev, Zverev, Sinner, Shapovalov and Hurkacz to name a few in the future and how they progress.
Dominic Thiem is another one that I will add to the list. He was supposedly the next Nadal, unfortunately, injury and bad play this year cause him to miss some great tournaments. Will there be a different "Top 3" or will the mens competition become super competitive like the ladies with slams being won by a variety of players?
All of them are very super competitive, so we might see the same pattern in the ladies slam. Thiem is a player we have often discussed here, and I vividly remember that I got to know more about him from reading the discussions here, and it’s yet not too late for him because he has the potential to become a big player in the long run. Also if you ask me then the next number one will be between Tsitsipas and Medvedev, and this is just my personal opinion feel free to share your opinions too.

I wasn't able to watch the match but yeah he defaulted the game because of the verbal abuse, not a stranger though, as far as I can remember he has similar instances in the past.
Been supporting Tsitsipas since he break out of the scene, because I believed that he has something special in this kid. And no I'm not Greek by any means, LOL. I'm from Asia, but feel in love with tennis so I supported anyone regardless of race or nationality.

He was a one time grand slam winner already the US open last year, so definitely his name should be in he inserted in the discussion. And has been in the finals for the French open twice if I'm not mistaken. So it will be a battle between the 3 Tsitsipas, Thiem and Medvedev to replace the old guard in tennis. But it very difficult to see who amongst the 3 will win or wil dominate the tennis scene.

Somebody watched Fognini match today? He got disqualified for verbally abusing a line referee What a character. snip Yes I watched it on Amazon Prime but there was no commentary and couldnt make out what he actually said. He looked disinterested really in the first set losing 6-0. Before the first game even he wanted his racquet restrung? Just a strange game. He got a few foot faults from linesman and started arguing with him which you cannot do. Fognini was defaulted while trailing 6-0, 4-4 against qualifier Bernabe Zapata Miralles of Spain, after a line judge told the chair umpire that the ninth-seeded Italian had used foul language.

Good games from the favorites, I think Nadal, Tsitsipas, Schwartzman and Rublev will wins an come to the semi-finals in my opinion. Tsitsipas will still be buoyant and confident with the win in Monte Carlo. Tomorrow will be an exciting day in the quarterfinals.

rarely all the favorites win, most likely there will be a surprise tomorrow, i don't know who it could be but maybe im guessing Auger Aliassime can make something happen, the odds are pretty good too @4 maybe Tsitsipas could got exhausted from all the matches he played lately and Aliassime will take advantage of that.

I think Nadal has the easiest match here, he will be against Corrie. Tsitsipas will be up against Felix Auger Aliassime, this is going to be tricky but I think Stepanos will have the tools to beat Felix here in straight sets. Now the interesting match, Sinner vs Rublev, two of the hottest tennis player we have right now hard to see who will win in this play.

Certainly many will think that Nadal will be easy to advance to semifinals but if you look at the previous two matches, Nadal had to fight hard enough to win, these two matches had to go through in 3 sets, so in this tournament Nadal was not as superior as people thought if playing on clay. The match between Sinner vs Rublev will be very interesting to follow, it's hard to predict who will win.

It's because players have been improving as well or Nadal has lost some of his touch in clay because he is getting older. Against Corrie, I think he can advance to the semi-finals. But yes, I think the match between Sinner and Rublev is not that easy to predict. What's interesting is that Rublev is now the slight underdog in this match.

Rublev lost in straight sets to Sinner and for the other quarterfinals Tsitsipas won in the first set, it looks like Tsitsipas will easily win in the second set and advance to the semifinals.

The first surprise this day, Rublev lost his game at the Tie Break. Nadal and Tsitsipas clearly won their games. I also think Schwartzman will win his game now, will the game be broadcast where on FreeTv?
Edit: After the first set, it looks good for Schwartz man and the half final.

Ok, so the punters are right, they put Sinner as the slight favorite over Rublev. So it will be Sinner vs Tsitsipas on the other side of the semis. Schwartzman did lost to Carreno Busta in the 3rd set. So now him and Nadal. Will be interesting again what will be the outcome, but I will go with my boy Tsitsipas vs Nadal in the finals.

Nadal should have a free ticket to final since he has outstanding H2H with Busta and it usually ends with Busta scraping to get a game here and there on clay. Tsitsipas and Sinner could be a good match. I have not watched Sinner in this tournament so I am bit hesitant to put money on the match. Tsitsi should be closer to final given his results in recent weeks but I think I will skip betting on it. Rublev was also in great form and Sinner managed to take him in 2 sets.

Speaking of Nadal I just came across one interesting analysis about him. ''Rafa Nadal reaches a new low: Never has he played so little in a season''Today's article in the Spanish magazine Marca analyzes the fact that Nadal has played only 8 matches so far this season, never less in his career. Apparently it’s getting harder for him to come back after each new injury and his tennis career seems to be coming to an end. This fact probably increases Djokovic’s chance to win a record number of GS and become a GOAT. What do you think? Source: https://www.marca.com/en/tennis/2021/04/22/608146bee2704e027c8b460c.html

Why not, I took a multi with Tsitsipas and Nadal, Seems to be very easy match for the two as there are no oppositions from Sinner or Carreno-Busta. Now it's the final that we all have been waiting for, the young Tsitsipas vs the maestro Nadal.
Current ML odds: Rafa @1.56 Stepanos @2.29 I still go and support my boy Tsitsipas here,

Any tennis player with age is increasingly difficult to play a lot of matches, especially given the energy-consuming style of play of Rafael Nadal, but let's not forget that this and last year are not standard and an epidemic with its limitations can play a role, and it is easier for Nadal to take care of his health than to try to get to some tournament in excess. Also, Nadal's style is more suitable for playing on clay courts, and you yourself know that there is only one clay courts Grand Slam, so I admire Rafa, who despite his style of play and injuries manages to win on other GS and can become the leader in the number of Grand Slams this season.

Of course Nadal is getting older, no one can deny that fact but saying that his only played 8 matches this season because of injuries and his career is coming to an end is confused or didn't know what's really going on with the minds of tennis players with covid situation around.

There was no way he could do the same thing as when he was 20 years old. He will still be able to play the next 2-3 years, unless he gets an injury that makes him make the decision to retire early.

Nadal does not look like his best version on clay this season. He has the experience and it is always difficult to get a win over him on clay but I believe Tsitispas has good chances to make the match interesting today. Should be a close encounter and I expect 3 sets today. I was thinking weather to put a bet on Tsitsi to take one set or to cover 3.5 handicap and I am leaning towards handicap at the moment just because the odds are better.
