Brooklyn Nets won against the New York Knicks.
This is a big one for them, win as much as possible on every game until KD is back. Kyrie Irving is consistent in his offensive contribution to the team.
With 30+ points for their last 6 games, he is always the top scorer for the team.
Another Nets player that's in the spotlight is Nic Claxton. He is racking up those rebounds and scoring if he has the chance in the painted area. A very big help when they needed it the most. He registered a double-double for his last 4 games.

Los Angeles Clippers also won their games against the Atlanta Hawks.
That is the 5th winning streak of the Clippers, they are looking pretty well coming back from the lead created by the Hawks in the first half.
Now the question is, will Kawhi play a back-to-back game because they have a game tomorrow? Just to continue the streak.

I am %100 sure that Bronny will be drafted even if only for his fathers name. Dude doesn't need to play all that much, there were a million antentekoumpos in the league just because Giannis was in the league, which means that they wanted to get his brothers in order to maybe have a chance to get him too, but that did not work. I am sure Bronny will be anticipated, and Lebron "may" go to the team that drafts him, just these two ideas would be better than most second round picks. Like seriously, whats a 55th pick guy ever does? Its very rare you find a gem there, hence its better to get Bronny for a hopes of one more year from Lebron and make a killing with profits thanks to jersey sales. I am sure it will happen, just don't know which team.

Yup! the NBA could surely get Bronny James or even his younger brother Bryce Maximus James but I really wish Bronny James will get by the Los Angeles Lakers if he is not drafted by the Lakers maybe be traded to them instead if they can not get him, and yes because Lebron James is doing great for the Lakers now they could do that for him, for me, Lebron James is a big asset for the Lakers that name alone could rack up money for them and if the Lakers would not get Bronny Lebron James would surely go into another team that has Bronny for sure,

LeBron will stay with the Lakers next season because he has a player option for the 24/25 season, not the 23/24 season. Anyway, maybe the Lakers' management will really want to get Bronny in order to keep LeBron, but the problem is that the Lakers only have a second-round draft pick in which Bronny might be selected. So it's still hard to predict whether LeBron will retire in a Lakers uniform or not.

I really think that is not a slim chance for them to get Bronny James and for the 1st pick to be Bronny James, I really think that Lebron James for them is a big cash cow get for their corporation, there are a lot of advertisers that want Lebron James and sponsors that are backing the name Lebron James and right now Lebron James is currently playing like his prime years, considering his games he is pretty much doing great right now, so I really think the Lakers will consider Bronny James as a great asset aswell,

Lakers suck right now and will be a lottery pick possibly a high pick next year when bronny is available.  They aren't going to blow a high pick on bronny just to keep lebron who will be 40 years old on the team.  That would set the team back years.  Not to mention they don't have many assets other than their own draft picks moving forward.  No way bronny goes in the lottery lol.

I watched Philly - Nuggets game first and it was nice but second match of tonight was way better. Embiid showed that he's better and he should've been started for All-Star game. Healthy Philly is very dangerous and will be a big trouble for other teams in play-offs.
Celtics - Lakers game is one of the best ones this season. Pat Bev made his first (great) dunk since three years in the most important time. There were controversial calls as usual. Tatum's foul on LeBron in last second didn't get called and we watched overtime. LeBron got mad after that position. Beverley showed camera to refs and got a tech, that was hilarious. In overall Celtics was better. Tatum had a bad game but Brown played great so that balanced it out. Brogdon was also great tonight. I hope we could watch more matches like this.

Agree with you 100%, this season they are such a great team and their chemistry has improved. Also, they have good defense now and beating the number 1 in the West is a big achievement for this team.

Embiid 47 points vs Jokic 24 points only, you can tell who is better this game.

Celtics - Lakers game is one of the best ones this season. Pat Bev made his first (great) dunk since three years in the most important time. There were controversial calls as usual. I thought the home team would be without a problem, but the Lakers seemed to be a very tough competition in this game. LA LAkers are fully healthy now but Celtics won due to their home-court advantage.

I think it's more likely that Durant is absent that's why he is taking the game over. But if Durant will come back again, maybe his role will diminished as we all know that Durant is the alpha of the team.

Nevertheless, he can request for the max contract extension, it's just a matter of whether the Nets is going to give in to his demand.

Because him and the Nets organization has some issues in the past and so with that I have a feeling that the Nets will not give him that huge contract extension.
Well, could that really happen?
I also admit that Durant is the alpha player on the team and I have no doubt that he makes a difference on the team.
I know Irving has had some issues personally and also with the Brooklyn Nets, but can the Nets offer maximum extension for Kyrie Irving? Or is this something impossible to happen?

After they temporarily settle the issue they are performing so well, they win the game at home against NYK without KD so if the management will be generous to consider offering the max extension to Kyrie.

We will only know that once they move forward and continue their best performance as a team,
right now, he's acting as the alpha due to the absence of KD, but if chemistry and how they are
performing as a team right now, they can consider offering him the amount that he deserves if
we are speaking about the impact he's giving when he's inside the court without any drama.

LeBron put up 41 points tonight against the Celtics as he gets closer and closer to breaking the all time scoring record. He’s been scoring ahead of his average lately so he could break the record in the first week of February. We’ll see. In spite of that performance though the lakers lost to the Celtics by 4 points as Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook didn’t have very good games.

117 points to go according to Lebron James' scoring tracker. 3 more games maybe? Either against the Pacers or the Pelicans.
I think it's more likely that Durant is absent that's why he is taking the game over. But if Durant will come back again, maybe his role will diminished as we all know that Durant is the alpha of the team.

Kyrie still makes 20+ points per game even if Kevin Durant is available to play. That's the good part when the duo is both playing. They can register 60+ points per game and it's without too much effort as they can spread the floor more and give each other some room to complete their isolation plays.
Now, most of the defense is focused on Kyrie and yet he can still make 30+ per game which means it's not really easy to stop that guy.
3 wins out of 9 games without KD and I think that is still decent for a team that lost their offensive assassin. They are still at 4th rank in the East so I think they are good.

The Lakers would've won that game. Referees did mess it up again.
- A late whistle at the final seconds of the 4th quarter. Shot counted plus a free throw to tie the game.
- A no-call on the drive by James where in fact, there is a foul because the hand has been hit while he shot the ball.
I'm a bit upset with that calls that I didn't watch the overtime already. The Lakers would've won that game if the referees called it right.

Anyway, forget that sh*t and I'll be focusing on the scoring record. In his 5 games, James averaged 33.4 PPG so if we will just base on that number, he might broke the record in 3-4 games so most probably he will break it against the Pacers or the Pelicans or even the Thunder if he will score lower.

That was a clear rigged show. Lebron was fouled driving the ball to the paint and yet the ref missed that call, or they did not call it intentionally? As a fan of Boston, I'm upset with the officiating because the Lakers wanted a win to improve their ranking, unfortunately the refs are not fair in the game.

Yeah, It seems that the referee has a hand on the Boston win here. The NBA should review the officiating here because clearly, they had said that they don't want the referee involved, but that foul on Bev and the non call on Lebron's drive could have given the Lakers the win but the referee messed it up big time.

I'm no Laker fan but this has to be look at as I have said.

Lakers in their last couple of games has been in the short end of the bad call, just saying.

It seems Pelicans ran out of fuel lately as they have 5 defeats in a row. They also don't have enough points to have playoffs locked in so they should make a mega effort next game against Bucks and try to win that game because defeats bring more defeats and they don't need a spiral of defeats.

Sacramento Kings are also shaking lately as they kinda forgot how is to win but they have a comfortable advantage in points and playoffs are kinda locked in for them.

My team Bulls with a great victory over Orlando and we needed this victory so bad in order to keep our dreams of playing playoffs this year. Cheesy

They need to break that losing streak so they'll bring back their confidence.
Ingram already had a decent game but they are outrebounded in this game, I know they will win soon, so I would be betting on this team as I know how desperate they are.

Although they are an improve team, but you cannot expect that they will win every game. Wolves have been playing well recently too.

That was a big win because they dominated the Magic on the road. Magic beat the Celtics but they beat the Magic, so Bulls is really a legit team, their chance to be in the playoffs is high.

This losing streak makes them vulnerable to being dropped off in the NBA playoffs and they really need to take some adjustments seriously because they are one of the teams to be expected to make the western conference a hard battle to get to the NBA finals but it seems they need to make things right first before dreaming to get their revenge against the Phoenix Suns in the playoffs. If they don't improve their ranks these upcoming days, then that's all for them and they're just one of those teams who cannot hold their spots despite how they win every single game in the past months.

Well, their two best players have been injured. I think it was amazing they were winning games at all without them. Once Zion and Ingram are back healthy and get some time on the floor together I’m sure they’ll bounce back. Hopefully in time to save them for the playoffs.

How about that foul on LeBron last night that cost the Lakers the game because of a no call? Crazy…

Yeah that is the big question for Clippers, if they want to maintain their winning streak though, perhaps it's better to have Kahwi play here. He is really instrumental in their run so they want to continue that momentum against a struggling Cavs next.

And I do agree that is a big win by the Nets against their rivals. At least, Joe Harris and Royce O'Neal step up in this game with no Ben Simmons,  Smiley. Irving huge 32 points to lead the Nets as they needed this win badly.

Knowing them, they will probably rest Kawhi to keep him healthy. I think it is more important to keep Kawhi healthy than to keep the winning streak. They will be against the Cavaliers on the road so it is a hard battle for the Clippers especially if Kawhi is out. But I think they can still win against the Cavs. Both Donovan Mitchell and Kevin Love are questionable for this game. If they are out on the game, the Clippers are in good position to win the game.

Yeah, that no call and then they call a foul on the other end? It looks like the referee is against the Lakers recently with a lot of no and controversial calls against them. They could have won that game in my opinion.

As for the Pelicans, not only did they ran out of steam, but the injuries of Zion really took a big blow on them. They’ve lost 12 of their last 15 games overall, not good after getting on top. Although BI is back, he is still on the adjustment period and it might take some games again. And now they are going to face a tough team in the East and that is the Bucks next, so it's hard to see them getting the win here.

If it was a game where it matter for them, I would be upset too. I would always love to see Lakers in playoffs, they are royalty in NBA so seeing them is always good. But they are 13th in the west right now, there is no way they are going to playoffs, not even play-in tournament to be fair, they are going to lose and they will have to accept that and move on.

They could have won this game, and it wouldn't have mattered for the end of the season, they really need like a big big win streak if they want to be in playoffs and I do not see that happening. Good for Lebron though, dude is about the be the person with the most points, that's not an easy feat, that's actually quite a big achievement considering he is the type of guy that passes a lot too.

They just got AD back and they are a couple games out of the playin what are you talking about?  I'm not pro Lakers but to say there is no way they would even make the playing is just straight wrong.  It's games like this when you win that propel your team, or on the flip side side track you.  Every game is important when playoff seedings are games apart at the end of the year.  This game counts just as much as a game at the end of the year.

To be honest they are just 3 games out of 5th place in the west that's how close every team is right now in the west.

Yeah, I would not rush it too, dude just came back and he needs to get his rhythm back same with Brandon Ingram of the New Orleans Pelicans who had been on and off the court. Injuries are not something to mess with, they need that fire lit back again and it doesn't come out 1-3 games, worse, 5 games.
But we know AD once the focus of him returned he could score 30-50 points and that's when we could say he is back with an expectation of a winning streak for the Lakers team.
I would not even worry about the seeding, the battle is so close from the top 3-13. Anytime another team could be on the playoff seed or there's always a chance to win the play in tournament.
