The normally stoic Jokić could barely contain his emotions as his horse, Demon Dell’Est, ran away with the victory down the final stretch at the annual Dužijanac event in Subotica, Serbia.

After his horse crossed the finish line, Jokić put his head in his hands in tears while soaking in the moment. He then hopped a fence to celebrate on the track with his team, still visibly overcome with emotion. And in the winner’s circle, Jokić helped lift his driver and sprayed champagne on the group and himself.

What a remarkable guy. I mean, his passion for what he does reaches great heights, and now he has achieved another victory that satisfies his hard work and passion for what he loves to do.

We all know that he loves horses and horse racing, and it was proven after his championship with the Denver Nuggets. He wants to go home so bad and have a time with his horses again. But there are parties and celebrations that he must attend after becoming a champion, so it took a while before he came back home.

I think the biggest thing Marcus Smart will bring to the table is that he isn’t a whiner. Maybe he will rub off a little bit on Luka and LeBron, who argue literally every call that is made about them. Smart is a hard worker and the kind of guy you want in your team’s locker room. I think that’s where he will make the biggest impact.

You have a point here. His attitude to encourage his teammates is good and might be compensated on his not so “smart” move on in his decision making on offense sometimes.

With Luka and Lebron carrying the offense is the only reason why I give chance to smart that will work on Lakers.

I’m excited to see what impact he can give to Lakers or he will just warm the bench most of the time. Lol.

We might see him bringing his hardwork inside the court though I'm not sure if how he may handle the leadership of LeBron, and aside from that we all know that Luka is also starting to bring his own leadership and how he wants to play the game, Smart need to blend his game to both leaders and if he achieve doing that we might see his impacts.

Though still going to depend on how coach Redick will play them together and how he'll design the system for the rest of the team.

Basketball is a professional work for him while horse relies his real hobby. Regardless he is both good on basketball and horses which is why we can’t make a negative comment about his life choice.

For jokic basketball is work,, when the season iis doone then the work is done and take a vacation. He really has a big passion with horses.
Well he is living in a country who loves horses, For me , basketball is a job for Jokic and after his career he just want to relax with his horses.
He actually told the press before that he dont want fame and attention. he want a relaxing life on his ranch.

For real. He is very talented man but that doesn’t mean he dedicated his whole life on basketball. Horse racing is very popular in Serbia that’s why this is his original dream which inspired him when he was a kid.

I read a post before that he was frequently visit racetrack with his dad when he was a child and he use his first contract salary on NBA to purchase his first horse since owning a horse is very expensive hobby in Serbia.

That's not new, Jokic is happier when he's watching his horses on a race and have a time for them to hangout with. It's always been like that and that's the happiness that he's sharing to everybody that no one can ever replace with. He's a simple guy that just likes to take care of his horse and he rushes to go back to his hometown whenever the league is on a break and every after season. I remember even during their championship, he wants to go back quickly just to check his horses.

Marcus Morris being arrested for not having funds for a check he wrote is pretty crazy.  His brother is still cashing checks from the NBA right?  It shows the lack of financial knowledge that these athletes have and how nobody really looks out for them.  There is no reason why anyone who has made multiple millions of dollars in a single year should ever be arrested for writing bad checks.  The NBA needs to do a better job at making sure their players are taken care of for life.

For him, playing in the NBA is just his job, but horses are his passion, and I don't know when it happened, but I think he said in one interview that he can just stop playing in the NBA anytime, and focus on his horses. That's how dedicated he is... for horses.

Often times, we see those all-star players celebrating just after they won a title, but not for him. We know that in an interview just after winning the title, he just calmly said "It's good. We can go back home now." Not the exact words, but the point is, he's more happy to see his horses than winning a title. Well, there's nothing wrong with it, and it's not like NBA is his life. He already got his paycheck, so the best thing for him to do is to show up and play.

It's a grueling 80+ games in the regular season. But if you have to go back to the 80's to early 2000's, you won't hear any load management and even if teams have older player, their coaches still are firm on playing them, unless they are really injured and can't play.

While it's a shit ton amount of games to played each especially when a team gets deep into the playoffs, but we had a 39 year Chris Paul played as many as 82 games last season, I understand that he wasn't playing the heaviest of minutes by the way but being able to stay that available is very commendable, and he should be huge addition LA Clippers roster, as I believe this is supposedly going to be his last season in the league.

If he can wait longer 1.5 season is worth to wait, he needs to be sure that it is 100% heal, ACL can  go back and injured him.

Haha, man, you’re really harsh on the Blazers. Yeah, they’re not exactly a powerhouse team, but at least they’ve got some ambition… lol.

But seriously, things are different now with Ayton on a playoff-caliber team, especially the Lakers, the most-watched team in the NBA. All eyes are on him, and a bad performance will get big criticism real quick. LeBron has already proven himself countless times, same with Luka now that he’s with the Lakers, it’s Ayton’s turn to step up, help the Lakers get a good standing, and hopefully make a real championship run this coming season.

It's obvious that the Bulls management still have full faith Billy Donovan. But I don't know, they haven't gotten over the first round of the a playoff. The last time I remember is them playing with Lavine and DeRozan but was beaten in the first round.

He's still have team and get paid by their management so I think he's not in worst situation in his career. What just happen is just unfortunate situation which instead he can play ball next season here he is sitting and suffering from major injury.

But despite of those challenges came there's good situation happened and for sure that his happiness would contribute for his recovery and maybe we could see Haliburton doing good this year.

Now he had lots of time to spend with his family.
