I have an avg of 27,1 now for the last 6 hours. Running on 29 now again while i'm back. Is it possible it has something to do with the temp? ( I opened the window and it's running 29 again) Btw, i have 3 riggs here with 5 Sapphire Nitro+ 8gb cards, which rom wil push them to 30,5? (and still have the temp's visible for me ofcourse)
Im still using heliox rom, Rx480mod, now my hashrate very stable at 28mhs, not overclock anything just undervolt -15 to get more low electric fee. Is there a ROM for the Sapphire Nitro XFX 480 8GB card somehwere???
Maybe - but not here Could you plz give me a link on your reference BIOS for XFX card? Just upload it somewhere i see someone using mod rom for power color devil but im never see about nitro version anyway are you need the stock romof XFX black OC? i back up my old rom before flashing, if you need i will upload it. just information : if you using claymore software for mining, then not showing the temp & fan speed of 2nd vga you must disable crossfire at radeon setting

Thanks for the basic rom for the xfx! If someone has any rom for my nitro+'s or can mod yourself, let me know!

Before i change roms i made another check. GPU-Z showing under 100w powerdraw per gpu but the total consumption for four cards + system is around 738w from the wall. 738w - system 75w = 663w / 4 = 165w per gpu Can someone confirm that their 480s @ 30Mhs pulling 100w from the wall measured with a killawatt ?

I am interested to see if you do 101 at 550 watts.

Phil, It all depends on ROMs we have - theoretically it is possible to edit fily with HEX editor, but I have no idea Also it looks like that some cards cannot hold the hashing rate, they downgrade to stock values very fast

Hi Heliox, Is there a way to avoid this signing devices thingy for the 480s? During the Nano rom mod days, it was as simple as flash and mine, Thanks!

I am interested to see if you do 101 at 550 watts. I made it i guess, rig1 = 112.31 MH/s @ 605 watts rig2 = 109.06 MH/s @ 570 watts

Would be awesome if somebody could get a youtube video together for this and show the detailed step by step process. As I have said before, Ive tried for days and days to get this shit working and never has worked.
My custom wattman settings are good but the ROMS are 10% more hash and 10% less power than what I can do with wattman it seems.

It does not require any video Actually citronix's tutorial is super - and it is enough I will post here my tutorial for both Win 7 and Win 10

I finally used my daily Win10 box to flash my MSI RX 480's (8GB) with the 480LowEnergyOK.rom file. Flashed and put back into my Ubunut 16.04 mining rig. Getting steady 28.5MH/s (171MH/s rig) and the entire rig + box fan is 995w at the wall. 4-5MH/s slower than my R9 390 (8GB) rigs but 1/2 the power. Sapphire Nitro+ RX 480's on the way, but 4GB type this time. Super happy.

Super happy. okay 170 mh x 6 = 1020 watts so it seems like the rom mod scales since my best four card rig does 101 mh at 600-610 watts the 6 watts per mh seems to be the rate. I do have interest in the rom if i choose to do it to a sapphire reference or a diamond reference 8gb rx 480 what happens if I want to shoot for 25 or 26mh on a six card rig say 150mh do I use the 900 watts which is the 6 watt to 1 mh scale or do I get 825 watts and a 5.5 watts per mh. this current mod is useful as you increase the hash rate and the scaling seems equal. but also a rom mod that keeps the 150mh and lowers the watts would be nice.

I'm assuming the math in your reply is about your particular setup? I'm not sure what you are asking/saying?
