WoW that's great!!! Congratulation for this hash! Who has the fastest R9 480x? What's the record with it on ethash?
Say thx to Samsung K4GB0325FB GDDR5 memory thanks for sharing the ref. No elpidia on this gen? On a hash that need fast Gddr5 it's clear that the best gram will lead in perf.

I dont like this "device signing" thing and the other bypasses and experimenting using CDM/Ubuntu. Anyone has tutorial for CDM-Ubuntu?

RX 480 4GB - Hynix H5GC4H24AJR equipped RX 480 8Gb - Samsung K4GB0325FB equipped may be we are going to see some elpida-equipped "low-cost" versions of RX 480 from XFX/TUL

let me guess: 1500-timings to 2000MHz-strap? Not really no ;-) Completely changed the memory block. I'll show a screenshot later :-)

I'll show a screenshot later :-) Well Eliovp, you've got the best result of RX 480 so far which I've seen. It'd be great if you could tell us about the version of that RX 480, your OS, the driver you're using and the ROM you're using at the moment. If you could share your other hardware configuration, then it'd be even better.

Here's a screenshot of the rom opened in PolarisEditor so you'll have an idea what i've done with the memory block. http://oi64.tinypic.com/24onigy.jpgIt's just a Reference Sapphire 480, Samsung 8GB memory (like almost all of them). OS = Windows 10 Pro Driver = 16.8.2 Rom = a new one

Why am I not surprised? new-bee miners with a lack of electricity rules knowing I was waiting for these reports. I mean hell let's put these to the absolute max and cross our fingers they don't burn up. What your friend needs to do is flash it back to factory if possible before he sends it in else they find the bad rom he will not get warranty. Like I said in a previous post here. If you want long term this isn't the route. Good luck Best Regards d57heinz

If using CDM or mining in general, use the fan settings generously when mining - its better for heavily abused fan than a dead GPU. I use the -tt and -tstop settings always - the fans may run 80-100% but like I said, dead fans can be replaced.

Heliox is Eliovp. I think he uses Eliovp at his work PC. Hmm... Eliovp is ldw-com. ldw-com is Heliox. Heliox is Eliovp. Haha Let me help I originally signed up here as Eliovp (basically my real name.. yeah.. now you all know..) back when i was 1 or 2 months active in this "scene". As Eliovp wasn't available on IRC, i thought, mm let's choose a "nickname", Heliox sounds ok, (Is a term used in the diving world, it's a mixture of Helium and Oxygen "i really don't dive..") So after that i registered on other forums as Heliox and on IRC it's also Heliox. I created a new bitcointalk account "Ldw-Com" for when i'm at my office, it's only being used on my system that's next to my miners. ldwcom is the name of my business. I hope i cleared that up for everyone Greetings!
