People didn't complain as much about UPS as about the shoddy packaging. Packed well it wouldn't matter much who they used as far as damage is concerned.

Yeah... the boxes are quite flimsy, cheap & too thin... and they could use rubber-bands around the heatsink fans for shipping...

Someone else mentioned this, I'll repeat, it may be DHL has less a problem moving it along if you call and talk to a customer service representative.

That's pretty much the same way I remember it, it looks about the same as it did in June.  That's the cart result for some random US address.

I'm annoyed that I paid for next day delivery which won't be close and was a premium, that my rig has been "in progress" for 3 fucking days...apparently the batches all go to that status together which would mean given 300 produced Wed and 450 yesterday ..batches of about 800? Also, there were 1000 left to produce on Tuesday roughly, minus that 750 and whatever they produced today (400?) ...they should all be finished.

I don't believe a word they say.

Numbers are great. Problem is, people shouldn't play with them unless they can make them add up. e.g.

we are currently 3-5 days behind in the factory

Yesterday the factory produced and shipped 350 boxes and we expect the same number to be shipped per day over the next coming days.

So, let's split the difference and say 3-5 days means 4 days (Wed-Sat).

15th Tuesday 350
+ 4 days
16th Wednesday 455
17th Thursday 350
18th Friday 350
19th Saturday 350

So total output for these days will be ~1855 units.

And I'll be very generous and assume that they were only producing 200/day up until Tuesday. And let's just assume they were in full production over the weekend:
10th Thursday 200
11th Friday 200
12th Saturday 200
13th Sunday 200
14th Monday 200
Total 1000

So we have 1855 + 1000 = 2855

Just a bit over 1000 eh?

You are still shipping orders 1-750 (or at least the first 750 units regardless of order number). The original deadline for shipping ALLLLLL units was October 15th.

That means in the next 4 working days you have to produce and ship 3000+ orders (ballpark figure).

That's not going to happen. You said that yourselves, that you can only produce a few hundred per day.

It's about time we had a proper update, with adjusted and REALISTIC shipping schedule, based on the state of play at the production facility.

Your pride seems too wounded to tell us why it's taken 9 days and still only shipping day1 units, rather than the thousands that were promised by now.

This "we'll sort it ourselves, we won't say anything until it's done" attitude is costing everyone time, money and unnecessary stress.

Drop the wounded pride/ego and honestly update us.

There are a lot of brilliant people on this forum who could and will help if you allow them in.

Oh look, I guessed 3000. And Bitcoinorama bit my head off about it and said I was spreading fud.

Chinese whispers and ballpark assumptions of 3,000+ orders are nowhere close, so that just generates FUD. There's actually approx a 1,000 units left. There has been over local 100 pick-ups (well 100 units picked-up), over 400 physically shipped, and a chunk dedicated to hosting.

Nowhere close?!! Almost spot on! Anyone with basic maths can see that 2855 is closer to 3000 than 1000? Right??

Cooler Master stand true to their name, their cooling products are awesome, their cabinets are also great. But their PSU's are crap (90%). I've rather bet on Seasonic/Antec/Corsair. They are the most trusted names in psus, at least when it comes to powering up computers. There is a tiered listing of psus somewhere in bookmarks, if I find it, I'll post it.

So it's now 6pm Friday in Sweden, end of business day. No news on shipping. So looks like if you units are still "in progress", the earliest you might see something now is Tuesday.

The difference between "set in stone" deadline of 15th October and Tuesday 22nd is a loss of 7BTC (and counting) per Jupiter.

To my knowledge.. nothing a customer or rep says to you is going to effect lateness on the shipping of units....get a grip
If anything... customers complaining about UPS did inflict the shipping damage
by making them use DHL instead
as far as shipping que... a line is a line... shoulda bought sooner.

I never accept the "compare to BFL" argument, because BLF are crooks who should be in prison. If they were in prison, either KNC would have delivered by 15th or never made a promise they could not keep. They would not risk being late if lateness meant financial ruin/prison.

But it seems everyone is willing to say "could be worse, could be 1 year" and that just gives KNC an out.

They feed bullshit figures to customers on 9th that there are only about 1000 units left to produce. Never mind my calculations above, they have put in their newsletter that have produced 805 in 2 days of production. There is bullshit and lies being fed to us Phoenix1969. It's not so hard for you, as you have your three machines there working for you. Would you be so cool if you had none and time was heading towards another massive difficulty change?

My overnight shipping is going to take 5 days from Sweden to Texas now that they have switched to DHL.  I would have preferred broken box and fans.  It never ends.

I hate to be argumentative, especially after all your hard work, however, when my unit shipped on the 16th I find it hard to believe that so many people complained to the point where you abandoned the carrier altogether in favor of a carrier that takes 3 - 4 times as long

This is a time sensitive business we are in and when I pay $102 for UPS next day shipping and someone decides to change me to DHL 6/7 day shipping and does not consult me it sort of annoys me.

I am sitting here right now watching my Device sitting at DHL in Ohio where it will sit for another 3 to 4 days when it should be here with me.

No one refunding my UPS fees, no one reimbursing my lost BTC.

ok, I agree with this... to a point.   I Honestly do believe they thought they could get me the miners when they said they would, and shiz happenz....  and I didn't enjoy the way we were kept in the dark.  But I don't believe they ever just straight lied to me.
