(...)

The faster they ship, the worse it just gets anyway.  It's clearly a no-win scenario now.

550GH/s = 1BTC a month @ diff 8.600M (= 62PH/s)
and below 1W per GH/s

so long term looks way better than though when placing the order Smiley

and when you consider cointerrra's best offer right now it means:
  62PH/s => 62*(500*2TH/s@$6.000)= $372.000.000 for hardware
until we reach the point of electricity costs in some areas for running KnC devices from first gen

My magic eightball tells me to put my tinfoil hat on and sit the next few months out. I see my orders as heating machines. I have to heat with electricity either way... Just a little more expensive Wink

Just remember you could have bought twice the amount of BTC if you look back and this plays out.
buying BTC was, as far as I know, in the hole history of BTC always the better choice
and for sure it consumes a fraction of time, no electricity bill, no replacement parts, no noise, no fires, you can hide it easily, you can sell it in no time

so if one is in this game for profit *only*:  why the hell does he *mine* coins ??

..and Thou shalt spread the coin in the name of cryptography for eternity

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Got my tracking Number today, looks like DHL for us - Paid July 11th for people wondering.

Wooohooo

Nice that they started on July orders. But they are essentially a month behind? It is probably going to take them at least a week to get to August orders due to ship "by Oct 15" and with the difficulty level rising the way it is, that extra 10 days or so, is just going to kill things, not that the last difficulty already didn't.

But, here is hoping!

Dude the hashrate is about to level out for a bit not, continue growing like this for a while. This has been the first shipment of a major die shrink. If anything it shows the genesis block was way off base all along, as I previously stated. This will be a huge step up over a couple of weeks and then there won't be anything in such a huge multiple in one go on to make such a marked effect on the hashrate again for sometime. More a plateau You certainly won't see a doubling of the current hashrate as it stands after the KnC delivery for a while yet, even during their November shipment. If they were to ship anywhere near what they shipped just now, it'll increase the current hashrate by a proportion, not a multiple due to the cumulative effect of this wave.

You can only really prove that statement by stating exactly what the size of the orderbook (in TH/s) is for October and November delivery.

Which I don't have access to, but seeing as the deliveries are by and large reflected in the hashrate it's out there anyway.

Not trolling, but that statement is reminiscent of something Josh would say :-)

Well their orderbook is not a large physical book they leave open on a desk somewhere, i'm imagine it is electronic and secure, as such sorry mate I cannot tell you as I don't know the answer.

Make my day! Say thanks if you found me helpful Smiley BTC Address --->

5% is 5%...  in the end, it's not 5%. Dishonest or misleading at the very least.
In the end, it's 105%, exactly as advertised.

Hey Luke-Jr, haven't seen you active on this thread in a while (or have I just not noticed?). Have you received your KnCminer yet? Should we be expecting some kind of BFG support sometime soon? One with not so high of an error rate? :-)

Still waiting on my 51XX order >_<

EDIT: Just seen my order now saying In Progress. Now I start the second phase of the waiting game...

Then why tell us that the hashrate is going to level off?  You don't even have the info on KNC orders, much less on Bitfury, BFL, Hasfast, Cointerra, etc., etc.

Ask Sam for the answer?

This image does not reassure me, based on the last 9 months evidence:

"How are you justifying these as fair use?  They are clearly and unequivocally a copyright violation."
"I really want to know how you justify that under the fair use doctrine?  It does not conform to a single point of fair use."
Josh whining about people reusing his studio portrait shot on this forum. Can you copyright a copyright complaint? All Paypal refunds are final.

I don't know if it is electronic and secure but I can tell you their order book is a mess, because they're shipping completely out of payment order!

It's not even that they cannot build units fast enough, they're building them but then they ship those units randomly.

And the order book is not the worst thing!

Hosting is where they're shining right now given how they're royally screwing those who paid for it and which either have underperforming units nobody cares for or don't even have their unit available, which is my situation.

It's all lies. A rig in progress would be easily finished in hours and shipped at least next day. That's not happening for many. Once in progress, no refund.

 1 euro plus postage Wink

That is the quickest loss of money on mining gear I ever saw. Bidding over 6k on a rig just as the difficulty rockets making it very unlikely ever to break even. They must not have checked.

UPS has a feature where they email you with a tracking number.  DHL doesn't automatically do that.  Mine came directly from KNC in order to shut me up (I imagine).

Same here.

I asked for and paid for UPS shipping and got DHL (don't know whether that is good or bad)

and it was shipped on the 16th, not the 15th as they had indicated.

Dude the hashrate is about to level out for a bit not, continue growing like this for a while.

Quoted so I'll have something to laugh at after a couple more crazy adjustments.
