Was just curious.....
actually, I was thinking of offering 2BTC for any unwanted upgrade cards out there....  plus shipping....
but looking at that...I'd probably get laughed at.....

<-- Looking for upgrade cards for a Mercury.. lol

Yeah, I keep an eye on the ebay circuit. Did you see the November units which were going for $27-$34k today? Hahaha!

Talk about quick turnaround.
Yeah! That's so crazy!
I'd like to choke the life out of those scalpers.... !  (just kidding)

the problem with ebay and their protection plan esp with paypal is that they could just mine for 45 days and then do  a credit card chargeback and send the unit back and ebay/paypal would go with it...and if you did not do paypal there is still the ebay buyer protection plan...which if ebay said pay them you said no...then you are banned ebay account for life...so I've been told by those who did this stuff with Avalon etc in the past.....not sure how true it is...but I guess it is possible

I just got my PLUTO (Jupiter + 2 Add on) modules. Managed to get this running without any issues albeit slightly higher temperature for one of the modules.

Getting around 849G

Cheers

Uranus, not Pluto... that's what my 3 module unit is called.

Why Pluto? Does Uranus scare you?   Grin

I am surprised that no one came up with overclocking solution yet.

I saw a guy on irc who looked like he was on the right track.

Those who figured it out are likely keeping it to themselves, like the guy who first figured out how to run the Avalons at 350MHz while everyone else was still at 300.

Do you remember what was the gist? I would assume that there is a chip on asic board that generates frequency, and one needs to reprogram it.

I got an attack of the network lags after upgrading to 0.99  Angry

Downgrading didn't help, powering down, restarting and rebooting didn't help. Even with cgminer not running ping times can take up to 2 seconds. SSH'ing in is excruciatingly slow. One time I couldn't even ssh in until I restarted it again. I just barely got it mining again. I saw others had gremlins that went away, but I can't seem to find any way to repair it.

I don't think it's that easy to charge back as I had similar experience selling a lot of ASICminers to someone who tried to charge back.

I sent eBay the postage receipt and tracking number, then eBay stopped charge back.

I have a 4th module that was working a couple days ago, that now refuses to kick on. I haven't tried heating up much and have tried alternating ports and running enablecores and still nothing. Warming it up is my next option but does anyone have a proven method on getting a Die to come back? I had 2 not detected and managed to find ports where 3 'liked' being plugged into. But I have not eliminated all the combinations yet because I don't know if I should be power cycling these so frequently.

Flashing to 0.91 worked to get it to detect all 4 cores at one point, but haven't had luck since.

I would try a different ethernet cable and/or switch.

Have you checked the power cable or tried a different one?

Have you tried doing a hard reset and reconfiguring from scratch?

yeah but what if they just plain say it has stopped working? ie they call the cc company and want a charge back on the device within 45 days in that they say it don' work....from what I know all they have to do is send it back and cc gets the $$$ for you in chargeback

just saying unsure how this would all work....but gives a person pause

Old Style Legacy Plug & Play BBS System. Get it from www.synchro.net. Updated 1/1/2021. It also works with Windows 10 and likely 11 and allows 16 bit DOS game doors on the same Win 10 Machine in Multi-Node! Five Minute Install! Look it over it uninstalls just as fast, if you simply want to look it over. Freeware! Full BBS System! It is a frigging hoot!:)

also this!

sad to be glad that someone who knows how to fix these issues is also suffering...

i would've requested an RMA already had i any confidence it would be quick and effective

i do not

@bogart - do you have any close ups of the areas you advised checking for 'opens' around the VRMs??

if there is an obvious error that can be fixed in a jiffy it may help the 'few' who still struggle to get anywhere near the 550 - 560

im fortunate to be stable at 529.8 and unwilling to send it back to maybe get a worse module sent back - for now.

@ phoenix below - yes, we know!  you may have mentioned that 46000 1 or 2 times - i seem to recall trying to remind the fortunate that not all tricks help everyone...

as you seem to have taken into account - not all posts get the recognition they deserve. (and therefore require pea-roasting)

Oh well, I guess I'll pry myself away from the computers
and do some actual labor around the farm today.....
Things are beginning to look like I abandoned
the place.... lol

BTW:
Cointerra is saying mid February for Batch 1 Tear-the-money-from-your-wallet-Miner...!
Hashfast is sayin' Mid December for Batch 1 Baby Jetgusher...!
I don't feel any others are even worth mentioning....lol
Looks as if both CT & HF are taking March orders now....
and HF is asking the same price for a March unit,as they charged for a December unit....  OMG
Those Guys in So-Cal are smoking some good stuff...  lol

@bogart - do you have any close ups of the areas you advised checking for 'opens' around the VRMs??

That must have been another user...

Phoenix begs to differ. (& he never stops learning)

Also - bitcoinorama called them 'ghosts'

....ghosts!

Keep at it ConMan!!
eat my shorts... I try to help....and what are you doing?
He never mentioned doing a hard reset, you act like he did...
"ConMan"  ?
"Ghosts", "Bugs"....programming tech terms....
But you think it's a "Con"?.....   somehow....?
okay....whatever...lol
Personally, I think you may need therapy...

eat your shorts Huh dont be a retard by choice!

Conman is Ckolivas - just cos u dont know that you jump to retarded assumptions that something is a con.

you can think all you like but spamming the thread with - do what i did it works for me 15 times a day is hardly helping anyone except your weird ewok ego.

i am doing what i must to try & solve the problem i have, namely keeping the issue in the relevant peoples minds as some ppl wish to assume/falsely claim its all sorted just because their problems are solved - vain egotistical selfishness...

you can keep your version of help to yourself if all it consists of is....do what ewik da ewok did, it works for ewik.

as for ghosts & bugs & gremlins - they are coding issues that REQUIRE fixing so the LESS FORTUNATE can enjoy reasonable hashrates...

NOT paranormal entitites, as in we are not all children that need to act out our ego fantasy role play stupidity.

we ALL deserve a fully functional rig & our concerns addressed by the relevant bodies..

i think you need to spend less time online boasting and waffling and get outside. i assume its a beautiful day in/on hawaii & winter is coming

I guess you didn't understand my joke about what you grow on your farm.  Just meant to be fun.

And thanks for the geography lesson.  I had no idea that Hawaii was an island... let alone 7!
